All Good With Aaron Wood: FCW Crib Sheet Number 2!

By Aaron Wood Jun 20, 2009 - 11:43 AM

Hey people!  Since I'm now back, (and do have a SH*TLOAD of FCW shows to record for you fine people who voted for me to carry on with them in audio form), and since it was January when I did the first FCW Crib Sheet, I thought it was about time to update the "Sheet", since there have been multiple changes and to introduce you to some of the newer players in our Floridian tale.

While there have been changes in the intervening period, our regular announcers are a similar pairing...

Play-By-Play Announcer

JOSH MATTHEWS
Last time around, I wished for Grisham to step aside and for to have Josh and Matt Striker as the ECW announce team.  It's a shame that Tazz ended up having to step aside for it to happen, but I GOTS ME WISH!

Colour Announcer

DUSTY RHODES
Dream did leave the booth for a while over the Wrestlemania period to be replaced by the now departed Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana) and then Fletcher Chase (more on him later...well, immediately below), but Dusty is back in the booth and, frankly, as wackily incomprehensible as ever!

Backstage Interviewer

FLETCHER CHASE
A "network" man, who gives people notes from Bright House.  Indeed, it was him that gave Scotty Goldman the fateful note to leave the desk and was never seen again in WWE, so blame him.

Ring Announcers

ANGELA
Became "Queen Of FCW" after defeating Alicia Fox, feuding with Rosa Mendes over the crown when Rosa ruined the coronation.  Still the regular ring announcer, except for the odd weeks when she's wrestling when...

TIFFANY
...Your NEW~! ECW General Manager, Tiffany, takes over.  Thankfully, her entirely puzzling interest in Ricky Ortiz seems to have abated.  That said, that was an ECW thing, rather than FCW...

Now, as ever, all these details are correct up until the most recent show I've done.  Then again, if you haven't yet heard the latest one, I'm got some awesome, exciting, fantastic, estatical, brilliant, mind-blowing news for you as I mention who the champions are...

Florida Heavyweight Champion

DREW McINTYRE
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That's damn right, mothercanuckers!  YOUR~! in-ring Scottish hero won the FCW Title, defeating Eric Escobar in a hastily arranaged FCW Title match when it became clear that Joe Hennig was injured in winning the title.  Head to ClubWWI.com now and check out the epic encounter.

Florida Tag Team Champions

TYLER REKS & JOHNNY CURTIS
Defeated the now reunited-on-ECW tandem of THE REAL CANADIAN BULLDOG, David Hart Smith & the now-named Tyson Kidd in December and have held the title, taking on all comers.  Currently feuding with the team of "The Frenchmen" (who, by the way, aren't actually French.  Again, more later).

As ever, there are some guys and gals that you know already who flit between FCW and "the majors".

TYSON KIDD

DAVID HART SMITH

ROSA MENDES

ALICIA FOX

RICKY F**KING ORTIZ
