World Wrestling Insanity Breaking News: Hart, Cage, Well Dunn and MORE!!!

Hart Was "Unaware" Of Finish to 1997 Survivor Series Title Match

New Study Suggests McMahon, Michaels Conspiracy

Research suggests Hart (shown here trapped in his own finishing hold) never meant to submit.

(Montreal, Quebec) - Bret "Hitman" Hart wasn't "in" on the agreed-upon finish for his final match in the World Wrestling Federation, a shocking new investigation suggests.

"(Hart) was unaware that he was going to be losing the world championship," at the 1997 Survivor Series, a new 62-page study explains. "As far as he was concerned, his match with Shawn Michaels was going to end in a 'schmoz'."

The report, which took over 10 years of researching to complete, suggests Michaels conspired with World Wresting Entertainment Chairman Vince McMahon in changing the finish (unbeknowst to Hart), allowing "The Heartbreak Kid" to capture his third World Championship via submission.

Industry experts believe that the report, known as "The Montreal Screwjob" in some circles, may explain certain things, such as why Hart punched McMahon in a backstage locker room scuffle after the match's conclusion. It could also be what Hart has been referring to for more than a decade whenever he claims he was 'screwed'.

Christian Cage Did NOT Get "Biggest Pop" At House Show

Samoa Joe, Borash Received Louder Pops

cage_2007.jpg
Big pop? Sure. Biggest pop? Hardly.

(East Ridge, TN) - Despite getting a healthy amount of cheers from the fans, Total Nonstop Action competitor "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage didn't walk away with the evening's biggest "pop" during a recent TNA house show.

Local audiologist Dr. Douglas Winchester was among the approximately 1,100 fans gathered at the East Ridge Civic and Community Center to watch the show. He was appalled to learn that fellow attendee djmarx2006@yahoo.com wrote the Wrestling Observer website and reported Cage as having the loudest babyface reaction.

Winchester, on the other hand, used a portable noise-measuring device to record levels of "face pops" and "heel heat". Upon sending the results to a laboratory, the sound professional determined that the decibel level for Cage's ring entrance was, shockingly, only the third-highest on the show.

"You can't just do these things willy-nilly and ASSUME that someone gets the biggest pop," Winchester fumed. "That's akin to trying to perform heart surgery by opening up the chest cavity and making random incisions!"

According to Dr. Winchester, the biggest pops of the evening were for 1) TNA Champion Samoa Joe, 2) Jeremy Borash reading the evening's lineup, and then 3) Cage. The biggest heel heat was for 1) Team 3-D, 2) Tyson Tomko and 3) when the Cage-Tomko main event ended in a double-countout.

Well to Dunn: "I Carried Well Dunn!"

Well_Dunn.jpg
Well Dunn, in the the only known photograph of them during their two-month WWF run.

(Portland, OR, or wherever the hell he hailed from) -- Timothy Well insists that he, not Steven Dunn, was the driving force behind the World Wrestling Federation tag team known as Well Dunn.

"I carried that team!" Well plans to say if anyone ever broaches the subject with him. "If Dunn tells you differently, he's full of shit."

Well claims it was his idea to wear fruity-looking bowties without shirts, and make their team's logo a pair of lips. He does, however, give credit to Vince McMahon's marketing genius for coming up with the team name.

"We'd tried all kinds of names when we wrestling in the indies -- Dunn Well, Timmy and Steve, The Rockin' Hardcore Brothers -- but nothing seemed to work," Well admits. "Then Vince came to us with 'Well Dunn' and, hey, it was just the thing we needed."

The only thing Dunn ever did was hire manager Harvey Wippleman, which Well calls "a ridiculous idea."

(Atlanta, GA) - For the twenty-fourth consecutive year, Funky Street Names magazine has named Badstreet of Atlanta, GA to be the "Baddest Street In The Whole U.S.A.".

Badstreet, the magazine's editors determined, is "nasty and hot. The further down the block you went, the badder it got."

The street barely edged out Know Your Role Boulevard, Jabroni Drive (home of the world-renowned "SmackDown Hotel") and The Road To Wrestlemania for the honors.
