Freakin' TNA is coming to my hometown here in Hattiesburg, MS. Now I just have to find some folks to go with me, teach them how to chant “bullshit” properly, and I'll be set. Maybe if I join TNA nation I can get backstage and get an “interview” with one of the knockouts.
Whoa! Not that one.
So Hulk Hogan is going around telling everyone that he's going to change A.J. Styles name. He claims there's only so far TNA can go in ratings like it is. I guess he thinks changing people's names will help this.
He's going to change A.J.'s name to Macho Man Randy Savage.
Names aren't the only thing changing, however. Looks like it's the end of an era with ECW coming to a close. Though, you know, I take this sort of thing with a grain of salt. It is wrestling after all and you never really know exactly what the hell is going on. I mean all of the same wrestlers and shit are still going to be there, so how different can it be? Plus, it's not like it was every really ECW anyway. It was just WWE watered down version of it.
Hell, maybe with TNA making a little noise Vince is changing ECW into WCW in order to try and lure some retired wrestlers back into the ring. I'm sure he could get Diamond Dallas Page.
Or that Kiss dude.
I'm happy to see Edge back.
I'm a big fan of his big teeth. I like him best as a heel, but anything will do. Just having him around breathes a bit of life into WWE and with Wrestlemania quickly approaching WWE is nearly becoming must see television again.
If only for this:
As far as I'm concerned Shatner can do no wrong. For God's sake, though, it's cool to let him be funny, but we're talking about Captain Freakin' Kirk. He should have handed out a few karate chops.
I'm not sure what I think of this Bruce Wayne/Dick Grayson relationship between A.J. Styles (I mean Randy Macho Man Savage) and Ric Flair.
Is A.J his ward now?
It could be interesting though. Let's face it, Styles has never been the best talker. He's just been a fantastic wrestler. If Flair can teach him a few things on the mic then it with will bring him to this “next level” Hogan is always talking about. He's just got to dial a few things in, that's all. Dial some things in. What does that even mean, Hulk?
Really, what does it mean?!
I have to post this artists rendition of Styles and Flair:
Yeah, I went there.
So wrestling is at least interesting again. I'm not sure who the heels are and who the faces are on TNA but that's okay. I think the deal is that Hogan is a face except when he's hanging out with Bischoff or “The Band.” You know those guys are so old that they could actually be “The Band.”
Scott Hall looked a lot different back then.
Okay folks that's it for this week. I gotta get to work.
