It's that time of year for me again where everything goes crazy. Not Christmas, but the grading of final papers. Not as crazy as things seem to be in the WWE universe after their horrible Slammy award show. I didn't like anything about his. Not even Jim Ross rapping--which prior to the show sounded like something I would pay ten bucks to see. This isn't the rap he did, but it should have been.

It didn't help that it was another three hour show.   How many of these things can they have a year?   Seriously. They used to seem a bit special, now I'm more surprised when we have a regular two hour RAW.   I mean if you're going to have three hour shows, and they seem pretty set on it, then have some wrestling in there. We don't need to spend a big chunk of the first hour on rapping, spinaroonis and Cole. Don't get me wrong. I like a spinarooni as much as the next guy.

If you chose not to watch this, and I couldn't blame you, here's a quote from some of the text in this tribute to the spinarooni:   "And you cant heve a Spinaronii   vidoe with outh the master of the Spinaronii.   BOOKER T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This damn thing has almost 100,000 hits. The poems I've put on YouTube have cracked about 200. The Robert Frost poems I found--anywhere between 250 and 27,000. Next time I do a poetry reading, it's nothing but Spinarooni, Spinarooni, Spinarooni.   Or is it Spin-a-rooni?   I'm not sure. I like it without the hyphens because it just seems like it would be more fun to say.

Punk's video tribute to John Laurinaitis was pretty good. A highlight in an otherwise pretty lackluster show.

Now that's one good vidoe.

We also got more of Cena and none of the Rock.   Like I predicted when this first started, the Rock and Cena stuff has gotten pretty boring. Rock doesn't show up that often and the rest of the time Cena spends trying to build interest in a feud by himself. So, he points out that the Rock never shows up.   I see his point. In a sane world, the people would be pulling for Cena in this situation. However, Rock is a legitimate movie star and one of the biggest names from wrestling's last golden era. People just aren't going to boo him. It's like going to   a basketball game, and suddenly Michael Jordan shows up and starts playing. Sure, he might suck. He's getting older. His knees are bad. But it's Michael freakin' Jordan. People are going to cheer. To make it worse, the Rock doesn't suck. He's pretty much as good as ever.   So while I've never been the biggest fan of Cena's character, I feel for him. I mean for Cena as a person. He's been put in a pretty tough situation.

Finally, I'd like to leave you with a little ditty I just heard. You youngsters have probably had it in your itunes for ages. I'm old. I don't even know what an itune is.

All right. It's back to paper grading for me. Later taters.
