Matt Dawgs Presents: Thank Goodness It's Friday!!!!!

Hello all. Welcome back and Happy Friday. Let’s just get right to it. In my previous column on this site titled “Matt Dawgs’ Random Thoughts, Opinions, Questions and Observations”, I wrote exactly what the title says I wrote. While this column will definitely hit you with that from time to time, I am also going just basically switch up the formula a bit with my random thoughts from each wrestling PROMOTION this week. Of course I will also throw in some thoughts on real world news, sports, entertainment and gossip. Please feel free to provide any thoughts or feedback on the new format. Enjoy.

MATT NOTE: Just want to take a second to let everyone know that you too can help. In case you live under a rock, Haiti was rocked by a deadly 7.3 earthquake that when it is all said and done, will probably have killed 100,000+ people in the capital of Port-Au-Prince alone. There are tons of ways you can help. Don’t think that just because you are low on cash means there is nothing you can do. You can definitely donate clothes, canned food or even your time. Find a way and lend a hand. Call the Red Cross or visit CNN for information.

1) WWE News and Notes

- Mike Tyson….WOW. For a man who was on his way to becoming the greatest heavyweight boxer EVER. A man who fought in front of thousands of people in arenas and millions at home, when he isn’t boxing, he is by far the most uncomfortable person behind a microphone. He looked nervous as hell in front of the live crowd. I still liked watching him flub lines and look confused though. Definitely not the greatest host ever.

- His backstage skit with Hornswoggle was AWESOME. “"I'm gonna jump-rope with your intestines, then tear your brain out through your nose, wrap it up in a newspaper and smash it through a window like silly putty!"

- Did anyone NOT see Tyson knocking out Jericho coming at the end of the show?

- March 15th, mark your calendars as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be the guest host of RAW.

- They still need a guest host for March 22nd which is the Monday before Mania. WWE is trying hard to get The Rock to host it which will effectively be the last guest host spot as they will get rid of it after Mania. While they all haven't been officially announced, they have all their hosts booked until that date.

- Don Johnson and Jon Heder next week. I like them both so I’ll give them a try. If Johnson is half interested, he could make it work. Heder is funny too so I think it won’t be train wreck bad. If Johnson doesn’t come out to the Miami Vice song then I’m going to be pissed.

- Very interested in the World title picture switch. Absolutely did not see Randy Orton winning the title shot. Anyone else think they will change it between now and the Rumble?

- I’ve rewound it about 10 times now and still can’t figure it out. Did anyone notice where Kofi Kingston blew the finish of the three-way? Orton was legit pissed over it, yelling “Stupid, Stupid” very loud at Kingston. Someone on the message board said it looked like Kofi was supposed to get punted by Orton and then he got up so he ate a nasty looking RKO instead. Either way, Orton was PISSED (fast forward to 7:50 to see for yourself). I wish I knew what it was. This is coming from a wrestler so it is easier for someone like me to see a screw up and I didn’t notice it. So imagine. It was probably something small.

- And just like that, Kofi Kingston’s push is gone. He has looked like a total jabronie since leg dropping Orton through a table. The only way I can see this getting salvaged is having Orton win the title and Kofi win the Rumble (or Elimination Chamber or MITB at Mania) and then beating Orton for the title at some point since no one will believe he can beat Orton.

- Orton is the best in the business right now. Hands down. Everything he does in the ring as a heel is PERFECT. He would have been a GOLDMINE during the Attitude Era vs. Austin and Rock.

- Michael Cole = Vintage Nerd. LOL. Maryese = AWESOME. (because she called him that in case you missed it)

- Bret Hart banned from WWE. At least until next week when he returns unannounced. The plan is that starting next week; Bret will become a regular television character from now until Mania. They have mapped out the storyline direction leading to his match with Vince and Bret has MAJOR input on the storyline direction so it should be good. It isn’t as if they are booking it on the fly. They know where they are going and how they plan on getting there.

- Bret is second to John Cena on merchandise sold on WWE.com. WOW.

- In a recent interview with the Calgary Herald, Bret said that he and Shawn met prior to RAW but DID NOT plan the segment they had in the ring. They just shook hands and exchanged pleasantries but decided to just “let it happen” in the ring. Bret said that he and Shawn were both emotional in the ring and he believed that Shawn was 100% sincere.

- Wrestling 101 = The Miz and MVP’s verbal confrontation on RAW. That my friends WAS GOLD. That also shows that no matter how much confidence was beaten out of MVP by his de-push, he still has “IT” and hopefully WWE saw that last night because they both delivered big time. Best segment on the entire show.

- Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre and ECW GM Tiffany were engaged last weekend, to each other by the way.

- Alongside Stu Hart, it is rumored that “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase is going to be inducted into the WWE HOF this year.

- Speaking of, the HOF will air the night before Wrestlemania at 11:00 pm ET on USA. There will be no replay of the show this year.

- “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson is being sent down to WWE developmental territory FCW PER HIS REQUEST. He stated to management after his match with Chavo Guerrero last week that he felt a bit “off” and rusty and wanted to get back into ring shape since he has been off for about 5 months now.

- WWE.com has added “Dr. Death” Steve Williams and Tommy Dreamer to their alumni section of the website. They have also removed Jeff Hardy from that section.

- Touching on Hardy a bit, I can’t think of someone who has ever pissed on WWE in that manner before. Contrary to published reports, I know for a fact that Vince McMahon is fuming inside. Completely livid about the fact that Hardy became a “Superstar®©” over the past year only to go to TNA on the biggest night in their company. I fully believe that if Hardy has indeed definitely signed with TNA, his WWE Bridge isn’t going to be unburned anytime soon. Even if he screws up with TNA again and WWE were to take him back, he is going to be buried in the mid-card. WWE is spiteful like that.

- Stacy Kiebler recently discussed being snubbed by WWE. The story was that she knew RAW was coming to her hometown of Baltimore recently and that she had her agent call to request if she could host. WWE in turn did not even take her call nor return it. She felt snubbed and recently spoke about it in a few interviews over the past few months. WWE has since called her and explained that those in charge did not receive her message and that they would love to have her host soon. They plan on working something out over the next few months.

- Speaking of Stacy, she was on the 100th episode of my favorite comedy on television, “How I Met Your Mother” this past week. She was great in her role too.

- Thanks to Aaron Wood for this. BEST. PIN. EVER  CLIP!!

- Nora “Molly Holly” Greenwald was backstage at RAW this week. She is not planning on returning to the company. She was in fact just visiting.

- Apparently Mike Tyson was very easy going and fun to work with. Many people backstage say that Tyson is actually a lifelong wrestling fan and had a ton of fun interacting with the talent. He was also always scheduled to wrestle on Monday dating back to when he was announced as a guest host. He thanked Vince McMahon in an interview after RAW and said he owes him for life for allowing his son to join him in the ring to celebrate with DX after RAW went off the air.

- Add Rikishi’s son Josh to the latest 2nd Generation WWE wrestler signed to a developmental deal. He debuted in FCW last week.He is the first 3rd Generation Anoa'i family member to become a professional wrestler.

- Jim Ross says it is going to be a photo finish on whether or not Edge is back in time for Mania. WWE is extremely hopeful that he will so that they can have an Edge vs. Jericho match which will be HUGE.

- BTW, RAW houseshow line-ups in local markets have Edge wrestling John Cena. Not sure if that is just BS or if they plan on moving Edge to RAW after his comeback but there is talk of doing a draft after Mania so that is a possibility.

- R.I.P. Tony Halme a.k.a. Ludvig Borga of early 90’s WWF fame.

- Best of RAW Trailer for WWE DVD.

- Undertaker is expected to answer Shawn Michael’s Wrestlemania challenge on next week’s RAW.

- Christian vs. Ezekiel Jackson at the Royal Rumble. Um…at least it’s different. Don’t know about Jackson being ready but I definitely expect a title change.

- For those who don’t know, when Miz was talking about how he got kicked out of the locker room once for spilling food on a referee’s bag, it was a true story. The person who kicked him out was “He Who Shall Not Be Named”.

- Also, JBL responded to Miz’s promo on RAW on his Facebook page saying, "I hear Miz cut a promo on me last night on Raw. Heard he called me a dinosaur. He is correct; I am down here in the tar pits in Cabo right now using my wireless as I look over sea of Cortez. Dino-heaven where an old wrestler should be and he is right where a young wrestler with a great future should be -- cutting a promo on me in front of large crowd. Go get 'em kid, because I am, no joking whatsoever, pulling for you!!!"

- Mexican Luchador Super Nova (not to be confused with Mike Bucci a.k.a. Simon Dean a.k.a. the US Super Nova) has signed a developmental deal.

- A 15 year old in Massachusetts claims that Randy Orton assaulted him when he approached the WWE Superstar®© for a photo and called him a derogatory name outside of a restaurant near Boston. No charges have been filed.

- WWE outdrew UFC Fight Night in the ratings. RAW was a 3.7 to UFC’s 1.2.

- WWE Developmental Star Tyler Reks was escorted off a plane in Wisconsin this week. Apparently he was sitting near the wing of the plane when he saw one of the flaps move (they are supposed to move). This freaked him out and he demanded to be let off the plane. He claimed to be a pilot and stated that the flaps weren’t supposed to move. This is something that will definitely not endear him to WWE management.

- WWE tried desperately to convince Jeff Hardy to come back to WWE on January 5th according to Dave Meltzer. This happened EVEN AFTER WWE knew about his indictment on drug charges. So that should tell you their feeling on this whole new war with TNA.

- If you're wondering where I got the info on the Mask vs. Hair match for Mania between CM Punk and Rey Mysterio, it is from Punk himself. He had requested the match a few months back and hence that is why they are having him shave people's heads each week on Smackdown. It is the start of the build up to the match. Also why Punk's hair is so long as of late.

- Booker T is most likely no longer coming in. Negotiations fell apart when he wanted to work less dates (similiar to the Undertaker/Shawn Michaels schedule) and WWE didn't go for it. Booker has since hired Bill Beherens to work indie dates.

- In something I definitely need to get a tape of, last night at FCW's developmental tapings, Kaval defeated Bryan Danielson with a top rope double stomp in a match that was said to be excellent.

2) WWE ROYAL RUMBLE is on January 31, 2010 from Atlanta GA and the line up is as follows:

  • WORLD TITLE: Undertaker © vs. Rey Mysterio
  • WWE TITLE: Sheamus © vs. Randy Orton
  • US TITLE: Miz © vs. MVP
  • ECW TITLE: Christian © vs. Ezekial Jackson
  • ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH: John Cena, HHH, Batista, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Big Show, CM Punk, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, Matt Hardy and more.

3) TENTATIVE WRESTLEMANIA 26 LINE-UP ACCORDING TO ME

  • WORLD TITLE: Undertaker © vs. Shawn Michaels (99.9% probable)
  • STREET FIGHT: Bret “Hitman” Hart vs. Vince McMahon (99.9% probable)
  • Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase (99.9% probable)
  • Edge vs. Chris Jericho (99.9% probable)
  • TENTATIVE WWE TITLE: Sheamus © vs. HHH (99.9% probable, may not be for the title)
  • TENTATIVE WWE TITLE: John Cena ©??? Vs. Batista (99.9% probable, may not be for the title)
  • MASK VS. HAIR: Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk
  • Now there are still some main players without a match. Assumption is that Kofi Kingston and probably the usual ladder match suspects of Christian, Matt Hardy, Kane and Shelton Benjamin will be in MITB.
  • Where that leaves Big Show is beyond me.

4) TNA News and Notes:

- The removal of the six-sided ring is beginning to gain more steam. So far the decision to replace it with a traditional four-sided ring is gaining support from Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, Flair and a few others.

- Ric Flair had still help out hope that he would return to the WWE but he had not heard from anyone since June of 2009. He did not officially sign his contract until 5:00 pm ET on January 4th. In case you are calendar challenged, that is approximately 3 hours before TNA went live on Monday. He was still holding out hope of returning to WWE. His main purpose of signing was that WWE still wanted control over his appearance and they had an issue with his Carolina Lottery deal due to Linda McMahon's Senate run.

- Mick Foley actually called him the day before that in order to convince him to sign with TNA. Upon his arrival to the TNA locker room, Sting was the first to approach him. They hugged and Sting told him that Flair is the reason he is staying with TNA for another year.

- There are plans for a Sting/Flair program in 2010. For the record, that is approximately 22 years after their first ever match against each other ( Clash of the Champion I on March 27, 1988 )

- Speaking of Flair, he has decided to work on another wrestling related book. Basically a sequel to his biography with WWE.

- [sarcasm]In a surprise to anyone that knows him[/sarcasm], Sean Waltman arrived late to last week’s TNA tapings on Tuesday.

- Both he and Scott Hall are working on a limited contract.

- TNA Management is already sour on the both of them. Waltman for showing up late and Hall for.....being Hall.

- Contrary to anything Vince Russo claimed, Eric Bischoff said that he and Hogan have been meeting with him and Ferrera since October in preparation for the relaunch. So all of Russo's comments about how he was uncertain of his future in TNA and that he was writing with no direction was crap.

- TNA is claiming a HUGE name is debuting at Genesis on January 17th. I expect it to either be Ken Anderson (Kennedy Kennedy) or Rob Van Dam. I really hope it isn't RVD. He needs to go back to Vince.

- Traci Brooks and Frankie Kazarian were officially married last week. Brooks’ bridesmaids were Christy Hemme, So Cal Val and Gail Kim as the maid of honor. Kazarian’s wedding party was Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels as the best man.

- TNA has added a LIVE, pre show and post show online program that began yesterday. It begins at 8:30 with the follow up being at 11:00 pm ET.

- Still one of the greatest things I have ever seen LIVE . Also one of the reasons Homicide is one of my favorite wrestlers.

- In an interview with Bubba “the Love Sponge”, Brook Hogan said that TNA will be going LIVE this coming Monday. While they have a TV taping scheduled for Monday, I highly doubt they would attempt to go live with no sort of build up whatsoever. There has been a ton of talk that they are going full steam ahead with the live on Monday timeslots but nothing has been confirmed. All I can say is that I believe it to be inevitable to happen sometime soon.

- Alex Shelly is working in A LOT of pain. He has both bulging and herniated discs in his neck. Not for nothing, but that can’t be pleasant to try and work through and he really should take the time to heal up. If those issues worsen, he is going to be in tremendous pain and probably need a ton of time off.

- Taz stated on Twitter that he is considering knee replacement surgery.

- Lashley has basically confirmed that he plans on sticking around TNA as long as it doesn’t interfere with his MMA schedule which is his first priority. He is more than likely going to stop working houseshows as he said in an interview that he only plans on working for TNA about 4 or 5 days a month which equals television tapings and PPV.

- Konnan is writing an autobiography about his career in wrestling. The TNA chapters are going to be AWESOME.

- Added stipulation to Angle/AJ on Sunday is that if Angle loses, he cannot get a titleshot again as long as AJ is champion.

- Brian Kendrick starts soon with the company. Possibly as soon as Sunday. In a recent interview where he spoke about WWE, he stated that the "new tag partner" angle that he did which was dropped a few weeks before his release was scheduled to be the debut of Bryan Danielson.

5) TNA Genesis PPV  is THIS SUNDAY, January 17, 2010 from Orlando FL and the lineup is as follows:

  • TNA WORLD TITLE: A.J. Styles © vs. Kurt Angle
  • TNA TAG TEAM TITLES: British Invasion © vs. Matt Morgan & Hernandez
  • KNOCKOUTS TITLE: ODB © vs. Tara (2 out of 3 Falls)
  • KNOCKOUTS TAG TITLE: Hamada & Awesome Kong © vs. Taylor Wilde & Sarita
  • X-DIVISION TITLE: Amazing Red © vs. TBA (Kendrick maybe?)
  • Hall and Nash vs. Beer Money
  • Lashley vs. Abyss
  • Team 3D vs. The Nasty Boys
  • “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero vs. Desmond Wolfe
  • Daniels vs. Sean Morely
  • Hulk Hogan’s first TNA PPV appearance
  • The Debut of either Ken Anderson or Rob Van Dam

6) Ring of Honor/DGUSA/EVOLVE/Independent News and Notes

- In possibly one of their last matches in the promotion, the Young Bucks will face off with the American Wolves this weekend at the ROH HD Net tapings.

- Ring of Honor has released an iPhone application that provides news updates, etc. If you have an iPhone, just search for ROH built by AppMaker.

- Jim Cornette is actually assisting in the booking of the product along with Adam Pearce and now the shows are building to longer term storylines. My eventual guess is that Cornette will eventually take over booking duties from Pearce sometime closer to the summer.

- Cornette, who doesn’t fly to events due to his fear of flying, will be at the ROH Wrestlemania weekend events.

- ROH is still going ahead with Austin Aries vs. Tyler Black at the 8th Anniversary show at the Manhattan Center in NY. Not for nothing but that ship has sailed. No one, especially in New York, is going to care about a title change after the last debacle.

- They are running the old “judge” gimmick in the event that the match goes to yet another draw, they will have the judges pick the winner. Each competitor chooses one judge (Aries chose Kenny King while Black chose Roderick Strong) while Cornette will be the deciding judge. My guess is that they are doing all this hoopla so that no one will see that they aren’t going 60 minutes coming. Tyler wins in 20 minutes or less.

- BTW, that idea was taken from Samoa Joe and CM Punk who had the two, one hour classics. When they had their third in New Jersey (which I attended), everyone expected another 60 minute match and Joe won in 28 minutes instead. According to their duel shoot interview, Punk says that he wanted to go even less than that since no one expected it. So I am calling a similar situation with Black/Aries.

- ROH is running in Charlotte for the first time. They have booked a 3,000 seat arena for their debut showe on April 3, 2010.

- Tommy Dreamer is expected to debut for the EVOLE promotion this weekend. What is especially amazing about this is that Rob Feinstein was teasing a project involving Tommy and now he is set to debut with Gabe Sapolsky’s group. Interesting?

- B-Boy did not wrestle on ACE Pro Wrestling’s January 9th show in Union City NJ. Not sure why.

- Brian Kendrick’s opponent for the ROH Anniversary show will be Roderick Strong.

- Brent Albright apparently did not get his release as he will be returning to the company soon.

- WSU (Woman’s Superstars Unleashed) has their 3rd Anniversary show on March 6th and it looks to be pretty awesome. For all of you out there who enjoy Women’s wrestling, you should give it a try.

- The AAA Lucha libre video game has been pushed back to a June release. Should be a good game though.

- Last week I said that Kenta Kobashi needed major elbow surgery that was possibly career threatening. Well when he went into the doctor to get checked out, he was told he also needed knee surgery as well. Not a good thing for a man who's body has been beaten down to the point of major surgery after major surgery. He has been through wars and beaten cancer. Maybe it's time to call it a career.

7) MMA News and Notes

- In what is fairly big news, UFC has sold 10% of the company the the Flash Entertainment which is owned and operated by the Government of Abu Dhabi. While UFC is a private company and finances to not need to be disclosed, apparently the sale brought in approcimately $56.25 million to each of the Fertitta brothers and an additional $12.5 million to Dana White. The purpose of the deal was that Flash Entertainment can open doors in new markets that do not get UFC such as China where had they not made the deal, would have been a tougher market to crack.

- UFC Legend Randy Couture recently discussed in an interview, the subject of Brock Lesnar. He said he spoke to Brock via phone and that Brock told him that his medical issues are now under control and that he has already begun training for his comeback. If this is indeed the case, Brock will probably return for UFC’s Boston debut show this summer. He still isn't out of the woods yet from a medical standpoint but it looks promising.

- Frank Mir is currently weighing in at 284 lbs. WOW. He is serious about bulking up for Lesnar.

-Best of Pride debuts tonight on Spike TV at 10:00 pm. Watch it.

- Bob Shamrock, adopted father to both Ken and Frank Shamrock passed away today at the age of 68 due to difficulties from diabetes. He died in Ken's home after being removed from the hospital by Ken on Friday. His kidney's failed and Ken felt it would be belt for Bob to die in peace at home with family and friends as opposed to in a hospital hooked up to machines.

- Manny Pacquiao has signed to fight Joshua Clottey instead of Floyd Mayweather. The fight will take place in the Dallas Cowboy’s Stadium. That stadium, which was competing for the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight, holds 100,000 + people. The Pac/Clottey fight WILL NOT draw 100,000 people. Nor will Pacquiao get a $40 million dollar payday.

- In what is a shocking twist to Pacquiao/Mayweather, Famed analyst and former trainer Teddy Atlas said during an episode of ESPN Friday Night Fights that a source of his who he trusts 100% saw emails from members of Pacquiao's camp to Mayweather's camp asking what the penalties for failing a test would be and if a test was positive, would they be willing to hide it for the benefit of boxing. Now Atlas said it could just be due dilligence but is VERY QUESTIONABLE for Pacquiao's people to ask. I think that should answer everyone's questions as to wht this fight has been scrapped.

- Bobby Lashley was scheduled to make his Strikeforce debut on January 30th against Yohan Banks. Unfortunately for Lashley, the Florida State Athletic Commission stated that Banks was too inexperienced for the fight due to his long inactivity and cancelled it. Strikeforce still wants Lashley on the card and will find a new opponent. That being said, TNA for some reason is still advertising him for their January 30th London show. WTF?

- Herschel Walker’s first MMA opponent will be Greg Nagy.

- The new TUF season with Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell as coaches’ debuts on Spike on March 31st and the live finale will be held on June 19th.

- Quinton Jackson received 3-years probation for his 2008 police chase in California following his Lightweight title loss to Forrest Griffith.

- Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort is set for UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi.

- Dana White confirmed that Frankie Edgar will be the next challenger for BJ Penn. No date has been given for their title fight.

UFC109 is on February 6, 2010 from Las Vegas Nevada and the line-up is as follows:

  • Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman
  • Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen
  • Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg
  • Mike Swick vs. Paul Thiago
  • Rolles Gracie vs. Mostapha Al Turk
  • Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller

UFC 110 is on February 21, 2010 from Sydney Australia and the line-up is as follows:

  • Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria vs. Cain Velasquez
  • Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping
  • Mirko (Cro Cop) Filipovic vs. Ben Rothwell
  • Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader
  • Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos

UFC 111 is on March 27, 2010 from Newark NJ and the line-up is as follows:

  • INTERIM HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin
  • WELTERWEIGHT TITLE: George St. Pierre © vs. Dan Hardy
  • Thiago Alves vs. Jon Fitch
  • Phil Baroni vs. Marcus Davis

8) Random Thoughts, Links, Pics, ETC.

- Random PIC of the week: Skittles. Taste the Rainbow.

- NBC is sh*tting on Conan O’Brien , BADLY. F*CK NBC!!! Conan is going off the air on Friday, January 22nd with Leno back in the tonight show slot. Sue those f*ckers Conan!!!!

- 24 returns with it's 2 hour premiere THIS SUNDAY!!!!

- The A-TEAM looks fantastically fun. Can’t wait to see it.

- In HUGE movie news, Sony pictures has decided to scrap Spider-man 4 and will re-boot the entire franchise from scratch starting with Peter Parker in high school all over again. Spider-man 4 was set for release in summer of 2011 but now has been pushed back a year to summer 2012. The main rumor circulating is that Robert Pattinson of "Twillight" fame will be taking the role of Peter Parker. UGH.

- Washington Wizards guard GILBERT ARENAS .

- Watchmen is definitely an underrated movie. Just saw it on cable over the weekend. Good stuff.

- HILARIOUS .

- Avatar has successfully moved into 2nd place on the list of highest grossing films EVER. It only needs $50 million to surpass Titanic at number 1 of all time. FYI, Titanic and Avatar were done by the same director, Mr. James Cameron. I don’t know if it is just me, but if I were 20th Century Fox (the studio who backed both films), I’d definitely make him a partner or something. JESUS H. CHRIST!!! His last 2 films grossed A BILLION DOLLARS internationally and that isn’t counting eventual DVD sales. WTF?

- Speaking of Avatar, some people on this planet really need some HELP .

- Quote of the Week: Denzel Washington - "The only film that was sort of dark that I'd turned down was SEVEN. They offered me the Brad Pitt part, but I was like, 'This is so dark & evil.' Then when I saw the movie, I was like, 'Oh Sh*t.'

- If you like “System of a Down” you’ll LOVE THIS .

- Remember Sisqo of the R&B group Dru Hill (and of solo fame from the Thong Song)? He has been ordered to pay monthly child support to a 25 year old woman who had his 11 year old son who was born in 1999. Read that again. 25 year old mother, 11 year old son in 1999. Ok, now that you read that again, do the math. 25-11=14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes. Sisqo is a SICKO. He impregnated a 14 year old girl!!!!

- PANTS ON THE GROUND !!!

- I know shame on me for not seeing the new Star Trek yet but now I definitely have to since Star Trek 2 has a release date of June 29, 2012. I hear amazing things about Star Trek.

- There is also a sequel to GI-Joe that has been given the go. So release date has been set yet.

- How I Met Your Mother was amazing on Monday. Great stuff .

- James Guttman has an AMAZING interview over at CLUBWWI.COM with Jim Cornette. Cornette has a ton of stuff to say about TNA wrestling and if you haven’t done so yet, do yourself a favor and Join CLUBWWI.COM right NOW!!!! It’s about the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks. DO IT.

9) PLUGS

~ Matt Dawgs

World Wrestling Insanity writer Matt Dawgs is the bread and butter of the World Wrestling Insanity family. His future is bright and once James Guttman comes into a large sum of money, you can expect Matt will be getting tons of it thrown at him, at least half of it. Matt used to moonlight as a professional wrestler/manager in the NY/NJ Indy scene. He is legit afraid of getting on Homicide’s bad side but thinks he is a cool dude in general. He also is a funny guy. If you have any questions, corrections, feedback, comments and ideas, he can be reached at Dawgs@worldwrestlinginsanity.com . If the feedback is negative, you can e-mail Matt at insanity@worldwrestlinginsanity.com .

P.S. – In case you didn’t know, James Guttman has a new WRESTLING BOOK out titled “Shoot First, Ask Questions Later”. It is a damn fun read so I suggest you run out and get it today. If you already have your copy, read it. If you already read your copy, read it again. It is funny; like me.

Also, don’t forget to check out CLUB WWI . It can be found by clicking the banner at the top of this page. Check out all the new audio updates and features found there. Some good stuff including all of James Guttman’s past Radio Free Insanity broadcasts as well as all new, uncut interviews with some of wrestling past and present names. Good stuff people.
