ECW Real Time Report: Match By Match Coverage

...

Tonight, the Dirt Sheet returns to ECW as the Miz and John Morrison share their venomous brand of humor.  With the ECW Scramble match just days away (and Miz being one of the participants), don't be surprised if some of the participants in Sunday's Scramble Match will be Miz and Morrison's targets.  Also, has Mike Knox had enough or is he still determined to make a name for himself at Finlay's expense?

VIDEO:  Brief tribute to the late, great WWE Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski.

The Dirt Sheet w. John Morrison & The Miz:  Morrison brags of beating Stephen Hawkins multiple times at Parchisi.  Miz, the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet brags about his upcoming appearance in the ECW Scramble Match.  Morrison laments his absence from the Scramble Match, pointing out that he himself is a former ECW Champion.  Miz introduces their first guest who also happens to be a participant in the Scramble Match-ECW champion Mark Henry (accompanied by manager Tony Atlas).  Morrison and Miz welcome Henry, being sure not to mock him.  Miz and Morrison then introduce former ECW champion Chavo Guerrero (accompanied by Bam Nely).  Miz and Morrison mock Chavo who takes offense to their greeting.  Henry seems to enjoy Chavo being the butt of Miz and Morrison's jokes.  Miz and Morrison tell the fans Finlay couldn't be there since he couldn't find a sitter for Hornswaggle.  They point to the Titantron and introduce two of Finlay's relatives (who happen to look a lot like Miz and Morrison).  Finlay's music plays and the Belfast Brawler enters the ring with Hornswaggle.  Hornswaggle kicks Miz in the knee as Finlay reminds Morrison that Matt beat Morrison to make it into the Scramble.  Matt enters the ring and runs down Miz, Morrison, and Chavo.  When Matt turns his attention to Henry, "The World's Strongest Man" warns him to watch his words.  Hardy tells Henry that he hopes Tony Atlas gets a good night's sleep because he's going to be busy breaking up all the pinfalls on Henry.  Not surprisngly, things break down with Hardy getting sucker-microphoned by Morrison.  Evan Bourne and Tommy Dreamer run in to even the odds for the faces as the show cuts to commercial.

BACKSTAGE:  The melee in the ring has made its way backstage.  ECW General Manager Teddy Long shows up and orders an eight man tag match tonight between Miz, Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, Mark Henry and the team of Tommy Dreamer, Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy, and Finlay.

VIDEO:  Pre-match video interview with newcomer Gavin Spears.

1.  Super Crazy vs. Gavin Spears:  Collar and elbow tie up with Spears applying an arm bar to Super Crazy.  Super Crazy rolls his way out and applies a leglock to Spears.  Spears wisely makes it to the ropes quickly.  Super Crazy hip tosses Spears.  Spears tries to fight back with brawling tactics but comes up short until he manages to throw Crazy off of the turnbuckle.  Spears goes to work punching and stomping away at Super Crazy.  Front facelock by Spears.  Super Crazy makes it to the ropes and tries a comeback with forearm smashes but Spears knocks him down with a drop toehold and goes back to work stomping away on Super Crazy.  Spears goes to work on Crazy with a chinlock but Super Crazy is able to escape and dazes Super Crazy with a dropkick.  Irish whip on Spears followed by two dropkicks and a spin kick.  Moonsault on Spears and the cover for the win.

WINNER:  Super Crazy (by pinfall).

2.  Ricky Ortiz vs. Ryan Braddock:  Collar and elbow tie-up with Braddock applying a hammerlock to Ortiz.  Ortiz reverses the hold and applies and applies an arm bar to Braddock.  Ortiz demonstrates his power advantage, whipping Braddock around the ring and knocking him down with a shoulderblock.  Braddock catches Ortiz in the corner and flings him into the turnbuckle headfirst.  Braddock climbs the second rope and drives his knee into Ortiz' head.  More punishment for Braddock as he stomps away at Ortiz.  Cover on Ortiz for a two count.  Front facelock on Ortiz.  Ortiz rises to his feet but it looks like Braddock yanked him down by the hair.  Cover on Ortiz for a two count.  Braddock applies the front facelock again, wearing him down and taking him down to the mat.  Ortiz manages to roll his way out of the move and rallies back.  Pump handle slam by Ortiz sends Braddock down.  Cover for a two count.  Ortiz climbs the second rope and hits a shoulder butt on Braddock.  Ortiz hits the "Big O" (Big Splash) on Braddock and covers him for the win.  Ortiz is now 5-0 in ECW.

WINNER:  Ricky Ortiz (by pinfall).

3.  Eight Man Tag Team Match:  Matt Hardy, Finlay (w. Hornswaggle), Tommy Dreamer, and Evan Bourne vs. Chavo Guerrero (w. Bam Nely), Miz, John Morrison, and Mark Henry (w. Tony Atlas): Miz and Hardy start the match with Hardy taking Morrison down using his speed.  Series of quick tags with Dreamer then Finlay taking the battle to Morrison.  Morrison brings Finlay over to his corner and Morrison's tag partners triple team Finlay while Morrison distract the referee.  Finlay manages to escape and makes his way out of the ring.  Chavo tries to dive out after him only for Finlay to knock him down.  When Bam Nely tries to interfere, Hornswaggle dives off of the mat apron onto Nely, knocking him down.

After the break, Finlay is seen applying an arm bar to Chavo.  Tag to Evan Bourne who dives off of the top rope onto Chavo.  Chavo has really been having problems with Bourne of late but he manages to surprise him and make a tag to Miz.  Miz doesn't get any offense in though as Bourne floors him with a standing moonsault.  Bourne goes to the top rope again but he's distracted by Morrison giving Miz a chance to throw Bourne off of the top rope.  Tag to Henry who comes in and proceeds to demolish Bourne.  Henry tags Miz back in and Miz drops a legdrop on Bourne.  With Bourne down, Miz goes to wear him down further with a front facelock.  Bourne tries to escape but Miz brings him in to his corner and tags in Chavo.  Chavo continues the beatdown for Bourne, stunning him with a forearm uppercut.  Cover on Bourne for a two count.  Chavo starts jawing with the referee, complaining about a slow count.  Tag to Morrison who slugs away at Bourne.  Bourne gets tossed out of the ring and Nely joins the Beatdown Bourne Club.  Morrison gets Bourne back in the ring and wears him down further with a front facelock.  Tag to Chavo who slams Bourne down.  Bourne hits a flying headscissors out of nowhere and makes the tag to Dreamer.  Dreamer covers Chavo for a two count.  Dreamer walks into a boot from Chavo and Guerrero makes the tag to Henry.  Henry lowers the boom on Dreamer, punching away at him in the corner.  Big headbutt by Henry sends Dreamer down hard.  Tag to Chavo who gets a jawbreaker from Dreamer.  Tag to Matt Hardy who runs in and clotheslines Chavo.  Bodyslam on Chavo.  Matt hits an elbowdrop off the second rope on Matt and covers him for a two count.  Chavo tries some punches on Matt who shrugs them off and hits the Side Effect.  Matt goes for the Twist of Fate but Chavo counters and hits a suplex.  Tag to Mark Henry.  "The World's Strongest Man" misses a splash on Hardy.  Hardy tags in Bourne who hits a Shooting Star Press on Henry.  Tag to Dreamer who hits a flying bodysplash on Hnery.  Finlay gets his shots in and Hardy follows him in with the Twist of Fate.  Cover on Henry for the win.

WINNERS:  Matt Hardy, Finlay, Evan Bourne, and Tommy Dreamer (Hardy pins Henry).
