ECW Real Time Report: Match By Match Coverage

...

Last week, the Big Show made a huge impact on ECW after laying out all four competitors for this Sunday's Fatal Fourway Singapore Cane Match then demanding he be put in the match.   ECW General Manager Armando Estrada also continued his campaign of making Colin Delaney's life miserable by beating down Delaney in a match after Colin already wrestled another match.  What does Estrada have in store for Delaney tonight?

ECW is coming to you live from Colorado Springs, Colorada.  ECW announcer Mike Adamle announces that Kane will face the Miz and John Morrison in a handicap match tonight.

VIDEO:  Highlights from last week's post-match beatdown on Tommy Dreamer, CM Punk, Chavo Guerrero, & John Morrison.

1.  Big Show vs. Tommy Dreamer: Big Show shoves Dreamer into the corner and chops him.  Dreamer gets headbutted not once but twice by Show, falling down to the mat.  The Big Show manhandles Dreamer pounding him with forearms and kicking him while he's down.  Show tries something different and drops an elbow on Dreamer.  Dreamer's woes continue as Show kicks him into the corner then steps on him.  Chop by Show to Dreamer in the corner.  Show whips Dreamer into the corner then charges in.  Show takes his time, allowing Dreamer to duck out of the way.  Dreamer kicks Big Show when he charges him again.  Dreamer tries to rally and jump off the top rope but Show catches him with a punch, stopping him cold.  Chokeslam by the Big Show and that's it.

WINNER:  The Big Show (by pinfall).

Shelton Benjamin joins Mike Adamle and Tazz at the broadcast booth, discussing his victory over Kofi Kingston last week.

VIDEO:  Highlights of Shelton Benjamin's victory over Kofi Kingston last week.  Benjamin became the man that ended Kofi's undefeated streak.

2.  Kofi Kingston vs. Mike Knox: Kofi peppers Knox with lightning fast kicks but Knox manages to catch his leg on the third kick and grab Kofi.  Kofi goes for a Sunset Flip but Knox stops him then proceeds to clobber him with a clothesline.  Knox goes to work with his trademark power attack, slowing him down and keeping him off his feet.  Suplex on Kofi followed by Knox locking him up in a front facelock.  Kofi rises to his feet and punches at Knox.  Knox blasts Kofi with a forearm then reapplies the facelock.  Once again, Kofi gets to his feet.  Kofi is whipped into the ropes but he catches Knox off the ropes with a big punch.  Recognizing a good thing, Kofi continues to use the ropes to gain momentum and knock Knox down.  Hig  h cross bodyblock on Knox followed by the Jamaican Buzzsaw.  Cover on Knox (who appears to have a cut near his eye) for the win.

WINNER:  Kofi Kingston (by pinfall).

After the match, Kofi is blindsided by Shelton Benjamin.  Kofi doesn't take this lying down and he tears into Benjamin, punching away at the "Gold Standard of the WWE".  Unfortunately, Mike Knox is still there though and he lays Kofi out with the Reverse Spinning STO.  Benjamin gloats at Kofi's misfortune.

VIDEO:  Highlights of CM Punk's ECW Championship victory from September 4, 2007.  Punk defeated John Morrison to win his first world championship.

VIDEO:  HIghlights from Chavo Guerrero's controversial win over CM Punk for the ECW Championship.  On January 22, 2008, Chavo beat Punk with an assist from Edge.

3.  Chavo Guerrero (w. Bam Nely) vs. CM Punk: Before the match, Tazz shows Mike Adamle a Singapore Cane.  Unfortuantely he doesn't hit Adamle with it.  Punk starts the match off strong, going for the GTS.  Chavo slips out but he's visibly shaken and bails out of the ring to regain his composure.  Arm drag takedown by Punk sends Chavo flying to the mat.  Punk goes to work with several kicks followed by an elbowsmash.  Bodyslam by Punk keeps Chavo off balance.  More offense on Chavo and Punk covers him for a two count.  Punk puts Chavo in a hammerlock briefly before both men get to their feet.  Chavo starts jawing with the referee and Punk loses his focus, allowing Chavo to surprise him with a punk.  Chavo goes to work on Punk then covers him for a two count.  Chavo applies a headlock to Punk, taking him down to the mat and trying to wear him down.

After the break, CM Punk and Guerrero are seen slugging it out in the ring.  Chavo whips Punk into the ropes but Punk catches the rope and stops his momentum. Chavo charges Punk and gets back body dropped over the top rope.  Punk goes to bounce off the other rope but Nely is lying in wait.  Nely pulls the rope down and Punk flies out of the ring.  Chavo gets back in the ring and applies a bodyscissors to Punk.  Punk punches at Chavo then picks Chavo up despite still being in the bodscissors.  Punk slams Chavo down to the mat.  Chavo whips Punk into the corner but gets caught with a kick from Punk.  Chavo runs at Punk and gets power slammed.  Cover on Punk for a near fall.  Chavo perseveres though and catches Punk with a Half Boston Crab.  Fortunately for the Straight Edged Superstar, he's able to reach the ropes, forcing a break.  Series of kicks and an enziguri leads to a cover on Chavo and a nearfall by Punk.  Punk is surprised by Chavo who hits a suplex and goes for the Three Amigos.  Punk counters and goes forling the GTS but Chavo counters that (talk about your counter wrestling!).  Chavo is in the corner and Punk charges in with the running kneelift.  Chavo slides out of the way at the last second and Punk bounces out of the corner.  Guerrero uses the momentum to cover Punk, grabbing a handful of tights to get the 1-2-3.

WINNER:  Chavo Guerrero (by pinfall).

VIDEO: Highlights from Tommy Dreamer's ECW Title Championship win on April 22, 2000 as well as Dreamer's heartfelt victory speech.

VIDEO:  The Raw Rebound.  Highlights of Vince McMahon's proclamation that he is going to give away one million dollars as well as the announcement of tellthe WWE 2008 Draft (just four weeks away!).

BACKSTAGE:  Lena asks Colin Delaney about the million dollar announcement.  Delaney tells her that it's just par for the course for the WWE as they always give back to the fans.  Colin can appreciate this firsthand as he went on to become a WWE Superstar.  Lena asks Colin his thoughts on the upcoming draft.  He tells her he'd like to stay on ECW but he hopes Armando Estrada is drafted off ECW.

VIDEO:  Highights of John Morrison's victory over CM Punk at the Night of Champions PPV when he became ECW champion.

VIDEO:  Hype video for this Monday's edition of Raw.  What will come of Vince McMahon's one million dollar giveaway?

4.  Handicap Match: John Morrison & The Miz (WWE Tag Team Champions) vs. Kane (ECW World Champion)-  Before the match, John Morrison greets Tazz then takes the Singapore cane and strikes the announce table with it (Sorry, he didn't hit Adamle).  Kane fights off Morrison but Miz charges at him, firing away with punches.  Tag to Morrison as Kane is choked by the Shaman of Sexy on the second rope.  Miz goes to attack Kane from outside the ring but Kane grabs his throat.  Morrison blindsides Kane though and his team continue the assault on the Big Red Machine.  Miz walks into a big boot and Kane follows up with several clotheslines.  Big bad backdrop on Miz sends him flying into the air.  Kane climbs the ropes and hits the flying clothesline.   Kane goes for the chokeslam on Miz but Morrison breaks it up.  Kane goes for a double chokeslam on the champions but they manage to punch their way out.  The tag team champions begin double-teaming Kane and ignore the referee's warning for one of them to return to their corner.  Miz and Morrison ignore the referee, leading to a disqualification.

WINNER:  Kane (by disqualification).

After the match, CM Punk runs in to even the odds.  Chavo Guerrero runs in but Dreamer joins the fray as well.  Big Show's music hits and the big man enters the ring, headbutting Punk then Miz down to the mat apron.  Big Show continues working over the wrestlers, knocking Morrison out of the ring.  Big Show turns and sees Kane in the ring.  Staredown by the two monsters.  You know things are leading to a program between these two.
