ECW Real Time Report: Match By Match Coverage

Last week, Matt Hardy became the number one contender for the ECW championship. However when the champion is "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, it's very easy for the hunter to become the hunted.
VIDEO: Highlight from Matt Hardy's Fatal Four Way victory last week on ECW. As a result of his win, Matt is the #1 contender for the ECW championship. ECW color commentator Tazz reminds the fans that Mike Adamle was made RAW General Manager last night and is no longer on ECW. Tazz introduces the new announcer for ECW-Todd Grisham. Matt Hardy is in the ring. Matt talks about how psyched he was when he was drafted to ECW. He's always been a big fan of ECW and he's been in so many extreme style matches that ECW was a perfect fit. Now, he has the biggest opportunity of his career at Summer Slam when he faces Mark Henry for the ECW championship. Just then "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry and manager Tony Atlas saunter out. Tony "Mouthful of Marbles" Atlas tells Hardy he knows he's initimidated. Atlas reminds Hardy that since Henry was drafted to ECW, he beat Kane and the Big Show for the ECW title. Since Hardy was drafted, he lost the United States championship. Atlas tells Hardy he didn't come out to talk about Hardy's problems. Instead, they have another demonstration. Atlas gets a steel rod for Henry and Henry bends it in half. Atlas tells Hardy that's what he can look forward to at Summer Slam. Henry hands the rod to Hardy who feigns hitting Henry with it. Hardy tells Atlas there's a difference between Hardy and the bar. At Summer Slam, it's not going to be a bar bending contest. Inanimate objects don't fight back-Matt Hardy fights back. Henry may be strong enough to break every bone in Hardy's body, but he can't break his spirit. The two continue trash talking in the ring. Tonight, Finlay and Hornswaggle square off against The Miz and John Morrison. BACKSTAGE: Ricky Ortiz prepares for his second match in ECW. VIDEO: Hype video for this week's edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. 1. Chavo Guerrero w. Bam Nely vs. Ricky Ortiz: Tazz questions Ortiz claiming to be undefeated (with one win under his belt). Chavo starts off by putting Ortiz in an armbar but Ortiz powers out and body slams Chavo. Chavo better not try matching power with Ortiz). Chavo checks in with Bam Nely at ringside. The two lock up but Chavo gets the upper hand, putting Ortiz in a waistlock before applying a side headlock. Chavo bounces off the ropes and Ortiz catches him picking him up for a press slam. Ortiz elbows Chavo in the face then catches him off the second rope with a flying shoulderblock. Ortiz applies a reverse headlock but Chavo counters and clotheslines Ortiz off the ropes. Chavo goes to work on Ortiz, applying a chinlock then turning it into a modified Camel Clutch. Chavo shifts gears and applies a rear headlock. Ortiz powers out and begins slugging away at Chavo, knocking him down. Chavo is whipped into the ropes and ORtiz catches Chavo with a big dropkick. Drop toehold by Chavo knocks Ortiz headfirst into the turnbuckle. Chavo rolls up Ortiz with Nely holding Ricky's leg for extra leverage. Unfortunately for Chavo, the referee sees Nely's interference and disqualifies Chavo. WINNER: Ricky Ortiz (by disqualification). After the match, an angry Chavo and Bam Nely lay out Ortiz. Nely holds Ortiz down while Chavo hits a Frog Splash on Ortiz. Before any more damage can be done, Evan Bourne runs in for the save. BACKSTAGE: Mark Henry and Tony Atlas are greeted by Colin Delaney. Delaney asks Henry and Atlas why they left him during his match against Tommy Dreamer. Atlas tells Delaney he wanted Delaney to prove himself. If Delaney is going to roll with the "World's Strongest Man", he's got to prove himself. Delaney asks for an opportunity. Atlas tells Delaney since Matt Hardy is fighting Henry at Summer Slam, he can fight Hardy. Not to worry though because Atlas and Henry will be in Delaney's corner tonight. 2. The Miz and John Morrison vs. Hornswaggle & Finlay: Tazz talks about how the former WWE Tag Team Champions' Internet show The Dirt Sheet was hacked in to by the current WWE Tag Team Champions (Ryder & Hawkins). Finlay starts off against a cocky Miz. Finlay knocks him down with an elbow to the jaw and follows up with a big clothesline. Elbowdrop on Miz by Finlay. Finlay applies a side headlock. Mzi throws Finlay intot he ropes only to get shoudler blocked down. Snapmare by Finlay followed by a headlock on Miz. Miz elbows away at Finlay but can't get out. He does make it to his corner though and tags in Morrison. Morrison applies a headlock to Finlay, pressing him into the corner again. Miz shoves Finlay from outside the ring only for Finlay to shove Miz off the mat apron. Hornswaggle sneaks in and positions himself behind Morrison. Finlay shoves Morrison and he falls down. Miz runs in only to get knocked down for his trouble. After the break, Finlay is seen in control against Morrison. Morrison gets an elbowdrop as Finlay follows up with a front facelock. Finlay applies the pressure as Morrison manages to flip Finlay off. Morrison tries a leg sweep but Finlay dodges him and applies a single leg Boston Crab. Morrison makes it to the ropes, forcing a break. Finlay gets shoved into the corner by Morrison. Morrison goes for a neckbreaker but Finlay counters and backslides Morrison for a two count. Stomp to Morrison's face. Cover on Morrison for a two count. Finlay applies pressure to Morrison's shoulders then he goes for a fish hook on Morrison. Finlay is just plain torturing Morrison at this point. Finlay blasts Morrison with several forearm smashes, knocking him down. Finlay continues the roughouse tactics, headbutting Morrison down. Morrison reverses an Irish whip only to get elbowed in the face. Finlay covers Morrison but Miz makes the save. While Finlay concentrates on Miz, Morrison blindsides him and shoves him into the ringpost. Finlay crashes into the post hard. Morrison targets Finlay's arm and shoulder, going after the area that hit the steel post. Miz tags in and goes after Finlay's arm and shoulder, stomping it, dropping a leg on it, then applying an arm bar. Morrison tags in and goes after Finlay's arm but Finlay ducks out of the way and surprises Morrison. Irish whip on Morrison followed by a shoulderblock. Finlay hits the Celtic Cross on Morrison and covers him for a two count. Morrison whips Finlay into the corner and accidentally tags Hornswaggle. Hornswaggle doesn't last long and Morrison covers him for the pinfall victory after power bombing Hornswaggle. WINNERS: John Morrison & The Miz (Morrison pins Hornswaggle). After the match, Mike Knox runs in from the crowd and lays out Finlay. VIDEO: Hype video for Nature Boy Ric Flair, the Definitive Collection DVD. BACKSTAGE: Lena Yada catches Mike Knox for an interview following his attack on Finlay. Mike Knox calls Finlay "soft" and tells Yada being soft makes you a target. VIDEO: Hype video for Jenny McCarthy stepping into the WWE ring in her fight against autism at Saturday Night's Main Event. BACKSTAGE: Matt Hardy is getting ready for his match when he's greeted by new ECW star Braden Walker (better known as Chris Harris from TNA). Walker tells Hardy he's got his back in his match against Colin Delaney. Hardy thanks him then asks him what his name is. VIDEO: Recap of Colin Delaney's speech last week detailing the reasons for his heel turn as well as the subsequent beating he took at the hands of the man he turned on, Tommy Dreamer. 3. Matt Hardy vs. Colin Delaney w. "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry & Tony Atlas: Hardy keeps an eye on Atlas and Henry who are watching the action from the top of the entrance ramp. Lockup. Matt whips Delaney into the ropes, knocking him down with a shoulderblock. Tazz talks about how he loves to see Delaney get beat up. Matt helps Tazz get his wish as he knocks Delaney down again. Delaney tries kicking Matt only for Hardy to grab his leg and clothesline him. Hardy suplexes Delaney. Cover on Colin for a two count. Body slam on Delaney. Matt whips Delaney into the corner once, bouncing him out. Repeat by Hardy. Hardy misses an elbowdrop, allowing Colin a chance to fight back. Colin applies a side headlock only for Hardy to counter and suplex Delaney (shades of Jerry Lawler vs. Andy Kaufman). Hardy knocks Delaney down and heads to the second rope. Hardy drops an elbow on Delaney's neck. Side effect knocks Delaney back down. Matt signals for the Twist of Fate. Kick to the gut followed by the Twist of Fate. Pin and 1-2-3. WINNER: Matt Hardy (by pinfall). After the match, Henry and Atlas make their way to the ring. Hardy prepares to defend himself but he's not Henry's target. Henry press slams Delaney and throws him over the top rope. Henry and Hardy exchange words before the champion and his manager leave the ring.
