Welcome to tonights ECW report on SyFy! I can't believe that I have to stop playing Smackdown v.s. Raw 2010 for a whole hour to do this recap... LOL. This years WWE game came out today and to make a long story short it is an excellent installment to the long and successful SVR franchise by THQ. I just got done creating a storyline where I reform the Hart Foundation with Natalya and Chris Jericho to finally gain revenge on DX for the Screwjob years ago. If you are reading this report, own a 360 or PS3 then you should get this years game because I consider it a MUST BUY! And I will have a full review for the game up later this week/weekend depending on when I put the controller down for a little while. HAHA. On with the recap of tonights show...

Zack Ryder v.s. Yoshi Tatsu for the number one contendership for the ECW title

The crowd had a lot of love for Yoshi in chanting his name almost right away as the match began. Zack maintained control for most of the match by neutralizing Tatsu's unique offense and keeping him grounded. Tatsu eventually got into his groove and hit his High Right kick to KO Ryder while he was standing on the apron for the 3 count. Yoshi is now the number 1 contender!!!!

Winner: Yoshi Tatsu

Backstage with Tiffany is ECW newcomer Rosa Mendes. Chris Jericho interupts them and tells Tiffany he is here to scout talent for his Smackdown team. She tells him not to bother and he can stay to watch from the sidelines. Chris goes off and begins talking to William Regal about trading out Cryme Tyme for Big Zeke and Kozlov for his team. Tiffany walks up and tells Jericho that since he didn't listen to her earlier that he can now compete on the show against Christian in the main event!

Sheamus v.s. TJ Perkins (Puma)

Perkins is a former TNA X Division wrestler known as Puma and has also wrestling in my pal Cinicinatti Red's EWF promotion in recent years. Sheamus is a future star in my eyes and he destroys Perkins until Shelton Benjamin comes in the ring and begins brawling with Sheamus to run him off from the ring to take the next step in their rivalry.

Winner: Sheamus by DQ

Paul Birchill with Katie Lea come out to the ring for a promo. He talks about beating the Hurricane last week. He brags about getting a victory for honesty and decentcy. He demands Gregory Helms to come out to the ring, unmask and admit that Paul is the better man. Hurricane comes out in uniform. It turns out to be a FAKE Hurricane and then the music hits again and this time the REAL Hurricane is in the ring behind Paul and begins hitting him with a "Hurri-Cane" kendo stick painted green and black.

Chris Jericho v.s. ECW Champion Christian

We get a Wrestlemania 20 rematch between these 2 men that fought over the desires of Trish Stratus back in 2004. Tonight is much different though because both men have held several world titles since then with Jericho becoming IC, World and Tag champion and Christian becoming TNA and ECW champion in the past few years. They even held the Tag Team titles a long time ago also. VERY back and forth match with both men hitting all their signature moves. After Jericho nearly submitted Christian with the Walls of Jericho, Christian reversed it and kicked his way out. He then hit a Killswitch on Jericho for the win!

Winner: Christian
