RDLee's ECW Report - Yoshi Tatsu Teams With ECW Champion Christian To Take On Zack Ryder And Bill Regal

Welcome to tonights ECW report on Sy Fy. Be on the lookout for my review of WWE Smackdown v.s. Raw 2010 either this weekend or the beginning of next week as I am getting a copy sent to my house a few days early. Also be sure to get on Club WWI and listen to the latest audio from Canadian Bulldog which featured the suprise one off return of ZAH to talk about his thoughts on the current product. Ezekial Jackson v.s. Goldust

Jackson came out to the ring with his partner Vladimir Kozlov and Goldust came out second alone to a nice pop. Jackson dominated most of the match with his power based offense while Goldust pulled a few veteran tricks out of his hat and almost pulled off the upset on several occasions. After Goldust hits a Flatliner and goes up to the top rope, Kozlov jumped on the apron and distracted the ref while Jackson took advantage hitting him with a kick in the head followed by the Uranage Slam finisher for the win. After the match Kozlov hit his Iron Curtain finisher on Goldust for good measure.

Winner: Ezekial Jackson

Sheamus came out to do a promo about Shelton Benjamin. He talks about how Shelton won by DQ last week on Superstars and that he was really the winner after beating him down so badly. He talks about how Shelton came to WWE years ago and wasted his god given talent by not ever making to the top of the WWE. Sheamus is going to use Shelton as a stepping stone to make it to the top. Sheamus said for the roster to "Leave, Step Aside or Get Out of his way" because he will be the one at the top of the mountain soon.

The Hurricane v.s. Paul Birchill

Gregory Helms takes a break from killing zombies on Left 4 Dead to put on the costume once again, this time to take on his arch rival on ECW known as Pirate.... I mean Paul Birchill with his sister Ariel... I mean Katie Lea. I really wish they would bring Mighty Molly back in for a one shot deal to face the brother/sister duo on a PPV match. The match itself was fine, nothing major worth noting. Back and forth with no real advantage on either side until Paul reversed a top rope hurricanrana attempt and hit his Jackhammer like finisher for the win.

Winner: Paul Birchill

Yoshi Tatsu and ECW Champion Christian v.s. Bill Regal and Zack Ryder

This is tonights main event. They are seemingly pusing Yoshi and Ryder into the ECW main event scene which is a smart move as both bring different styles to the table that some people like. Very athletic contest especially when Tatsu and Zack were in the ring. Christian hit some high flying of his own to mediocre results. Regal snuck in the ring and cheap shotted Yoshi every chance he got so Ryder could continue his assualt. Hot tags by Tatsu to Christian who comes in and takes control with his usual offense until Ryder hit him with the flying legdrop for a near fall. Christian recovered and looked to finish Ryder until Regal blindtagged himself in. Zack started mouthing off to Regal who turned around into a Christian right hand and then out of nowhere Zack Ryder turned on Regal and pulled his neck onto the top rope to allow Christian to hit the Killswitch for the win.

Winners: Christian and Yoshi Tatsu
