Fritz Stephey's Nonsensical, Unorganized But Well Thought-Out Writings on...New ECW Title, Saturday Night's Main Event, Seeing TNA Live, and More

...

So I've put out audio and done real-time...but few times have I treaded the "Written Work" area. And rather than scoot by and give you NOTHING, I figure whatever I throw together is good enough ( ...riiiiight?). So I've babbled all about my recent trip to RAW/SNME and my future trip to the Metal Masters Tour...well, what the hell else is there to talk about?

-How about the new ECW Title. I saw a thread was started on the boards and there was some unhappy comments on it. I like the new belt...albeit it's a bit too plain. The design is very nice. Also, considering WWE has the World Heavyweight Championship AND WWE Championship...the ECW really is that " not as big" title, honestly. Going to the respective brands, yes, it's as high as you can go on ECW. But in the overall picture, you have to give each title it's own. I like the fact that it's something different, and the silver base was a nice choice ( Gives it the championship feel, but doesn't try to stand up with the others. There's more to be achieved... I think the design is intended to show that there's more ground that can be covered by these wrestlers.).

-I was for a while, considering attending TNA's upcoming Hard Justice PPV. It's in Jersey, so in regards to me, it can't be more than 2 hours away. Generally TNA puts on good PPVs, and the wrestling itself is usually hard to argue with. The way things are playing out though, ultimately led me to deciding against it. I think they have some intrigue cooking like the possibility of a heel Sting, and they have something that's close to gold ( if not already) in Beer Money Inc ( Maybe if Super Eric were actually cool, then the Justice League would get a nod...but eh...Shark Boy and Curry man can be funny...but keep in mind..it's Chris Daniels acting Japanese and a guy with a shark mask...wait...that's BRILLIANT). Hopefully TNA can get some gears rolling and head in one solid, good direction. Until that happens, though, I'm not holding my breath.

-Saturday Night's Main Event is kinda pointless. Watching it live was mildly exciting ( if not just because I say Edge and Jeff Hardy, who I wasn't expecting to see at all). After re-watching it on TV, it was weak ( y'know, in terms of must-seeness). 3 matches ( one of which was a horrid squash), and a lot of airtime being eaten up for Jenny McCarthy and her "wrestling" autism in the "ring". It's a good cause, no doubt...but eh, with all the hype packages for it and the promo itself...just a little too much time focused on it.

- Final Personal Note: I'm totally going to The Metal Masters Tour this Wednesday. I'm seeing Testament, Motorhead, Heaven & Hell ( aka Black Sabbath: Dio), and JUDAS PRIEST ( ...yeah, I know...19 year old going to an event with people 30Xs older than me...so I like the classics). Luckily, Wednesday doesn't really mess with the Wrestling Viewing Sched...though it may delay an audio. The plan is to finally nail out that "Watch SmackDown and Audio Review it" idea I proposed to you about...uuuh...whenever I started doing audio. Do I garundamntee it? No...but, it's more than likely gonna happen. I can DVR Monk, and it won't cause problems with Psych...more importantly... I'll actually be home before it starts.

Until next time ( ...and next time is looking to be Real-Timing TNA: iMPACT!), have a good week! Cheap plug for my FaceBook, I have tons ( and tons more) of WWE Raw/SNME pics. After the concert on Wednesday, I garundamntee you there will be a thousand concert pics added ASAP </cheap plug>
