The Heat Report: Carlito Plays Jobber For Snitsky, Londrick-Highlanders-HollyRhodes Fight For The Right

Before I continue on with HEAT, first off, this week is Thanksgiving Week…so, from me to you guys, have a good one.
Secondly…Chris Jericho is SAVE_US.222, which is apparently code for SAVE_US.Y2J…anyone else shocked? Anyone? I wasn't. That didn't stop me from recording the whole segment to DVD, though.
Enough of the crap, it's HEAT time. Carlito opens up the show. He's taking on…SNITSKY!? Holy crap. Well, I'm guessing this won't be a squash. Unless Lito pissed off the wrong person. Snitsky shoves Carly into the corner and slams him to the mat. He hits an elbow drop to his face and continues working Carlito. Captain Cool shoves Snitsky to the corner, hits a springboard dropkick, and scores a 1 count. Right after, Snitsky tears Carlito's head off with a big boot, hits the pumphandle slam…and gets the 3 count.
Uhm…it wasn't a, typical squash, and it went by quick. But still, Snitsky dominates. That's not cool.
As is typical, HEAT was released before Survivor Series, so I'm watching all these hype vids.
Up next? "The World's Greatest tag Team" (Not the Motor City Machineguns…Haas and Benjamin)They are taking on Dinn-T Moore and Steve Fender (Who's finisher should one day be called The Stratocastor...if he's lucky enough to go anywhere). Benjamin will start the match off, as will Joober #1. Shelton works on the arms, tags in Haas, who gets a kick in. Jobber #1 tags in #2, but Haas keeps the control. Tag to Shelly who flies off the top turnbuckle, to get a hit on the kid's arm. As he fights off Benjamin, he finds himself on the receiving end of a spinning kick to the face. #1 tagged back in and gets some work on Benjamin, but Shelton strikes back with a neckbreaker. Haas then winds up tagged in and gets a 2-count. There's some more doubleteaming before Shelton picks up the win, pinning Dinn-T Moore. That was kind of meh. Nothing much to it…
It's already MAIN EVENT time. Surprisingly, they gave HEAT something important - a Triple Threat Tag Team match, where the winners would challenge the Tag Champs for the belts at Survivor Series. Londrick enter the ring, and The Highlanders follow. The third duo is the most hyped team on RAW, Cody Rhodes and Bob Holly! (Yeah, that's a kick-ass tag team, right?)
Ok, so London and Robbie start the match. Rory gets a tag in shortly after and goes for a huge clothsline. Paul ducks out of the way and hits a dropkick. Follows up with an atomic drop and flips Rory. Quick note: This match works as 2-men in the ring only. Very TNA like, as it's confusing as hell. Rory tags in CODY Rhodes, and Cody and London lock up in the middle. Code Rhode and Paul actually are getting a lot of speed and grappling in. There are many near falls, but none of them even get a one-count. London takes Rhodes to his corner and tags in his own partner, Brian. Cody takes control over Kendrick. He hits him with a clothesline and a hip-toss but misses an elbow drop. A test of strength in the middle leads to Rhody Codes tagging in Hardcore Holly. Double H (no relation to Triple H), gets bested by Kendrick, who flies off the top rope and goes into a 2-count pin. He then gets a roll-up, another 2-count, and Kendrick tries rolling up Bob quickly. It doesn't work. Kendrick gets a dropkick, tags in London. Rory then tags himself in at Hardcore Bob's expense. The Highlander gets some hits on Paul, tags in Robbie and they double team London. Robbie chokes Paulie on the ropes, gets a 2-count. London tries fighting off Robbie, but finds himself in hostile territory before Rory is tagged in. (Quick Question: Can London tag in Robbie, and have Robbie and Rory face each other?).
Rory starts pulling out knee drops and elbow drops, to work down London. Robbie gets tagged in and finds a 2-count. London gets some big fists to Robbie's face, but Rob grabs him the first shot he gets and throws on a lock. Rory's tagged and the dominance continues over Team Londrick. London backs Rory to the corner, plays possum, and tries to get to Kendrick. Robbie makes the stop. London desperately tries to fight of Robbie and makes several kicks to his face. Finally, London gives up and tags in Cody Rhodes. Holly tagged himself in as Cody went up top, hits the Alabama slam on Rory and gets the 3-count.
Holy sh*t! HEAT got a meaningful main event, sort of. It was big, it had good action, its a shame that it was sort of confusing though. 3 Teams, only two guys in the ring, anyone can be tagged, first team to score the pin wins. Kind of a sloppy idea, when you think about it. But, not bad. Unfortunately, The Main Event WAS the show. No one wants to see Snitsky, period. And while he didn't have his typical Squash match, it still feels the same. He easily handled Carlito. Haas/Benjamin vs. The Jobbers was ok, but short, and they pretty much kept the full control. The Main Event was good.
That's it for HEAT. As always, I'm open to comments and criticism. Catch me on the boards (the_nWo), or you can get me by E-mail (BrothaFritz@gmail.com). Once again, have a Happy Thanksgiving this week. Cya next HEAT.
