The Heat Report: How Do You Follow A Great Night Of Watching Raw? With Super Crazy. That's How.
By Fritz Stephey
Hey guys, Fritz here, and that can only mean one thing! What? No…it doesn't mean free beer…it means WWEs WebShow, HEAT! Come on guys…free beer? Slap yourselves. I dunno how I'm going to react to Heat…I mean, it's Tuesday morning. I just finished watching the most kick-ass RAW, and now I'm watching HEAT! Oh well, screw it, it can still be good right? Let's be optimistic. Team Londrick is kicking off HEAT, taking on Brody Chase and Kirby Matt (I have no idea if that's their real names…you know, it doesn't matter). Brian is starting off against Kirby Matt, a scrawny looking fellow with a bright purple pirate-esque headband. Surprisingly he had early control but Kenny's quick reversals was enough to get by for Londrick to double team the Dreaded Pirate Jobber (Yeah, I WENT there). Paul reverses an irish whip to the corner, but Brody flips him to the outside. Paul, of course, lands on the apron. Brody tries to knock him off but gets a shoulder to the midsection. Paul jumps over the top rope, hits a sunset flip and scores a 2-count. Immediately following, he nails Chase with a hip-toss, leading into an arm bar, and a tag to Kendrick. We get some double-team on the arm before London gets tagged in. Kenny eventually getstagged in, but it's the same old story. At this point, Coachmen informs me that Brody was the tall Diesel look-alike…not the scrawny guy with the purple pirate headband. The head band is gone, due to Brody running in, trying to stop Londrick, failing miserably by hitting poor Kirby to the outside. Brody is tagged in and retains early control on Kendrick. Quick tag to Matt, but it turns out to be a bad idea. Speed gets Londrick going, getting the best of Kirbs. London went into the usual explosion of moves, moonsaults, dropkicks, hurricanrana...you know the deal. They take the big W. Actually it wasn't too bad. I saw nothing too impressive from Kirby or Chase, but it wasn't a one-sided match. Commercial for RAWs 15th Anniversary, taking place when? Yesterday. It was the best RAW in years. No offseason. No second takes. No re-runs (Although that can be debated) SANTINO MERLLA is in the house. First he grabs the mic, and cuts a promo for the 15th Anniversary RAW. He says one of the greatest moments they'll show…is the RAW from Italy, where a lowly audience member was selected by Vinnie Mac's hand to face Umaga. That man became Intercontinental, these are his words, not mine, "CHAM-PON." He lays a chance out for any audience member to try to beat him, saying they if they COULD beat him, they too could become a WWE Star and leave their boring lives behind. He looks around, however, and deems the audience unworthy of such a privilege. That's when Super Crazy makes his way to the ring. They start with a lock up and Santino flips Crazy flat on his back…and then celebrates. So again they lock up, and Santokyo does the same thing. As he tries a third time, Crazy hits three take-downs of his own, and gets a two-count on a roll-up. Crazy takes Santiko to the corner and gives him a big hit. Super Irish Whips Marella into the corner, but as Crazy charges, Santino dodges out of the way and helps Super right into the corner turnbuckle. Santino follows with a monster Randy Orton kick to Super's stomach. Crazy rolls him up for another two count and Tino hits a gutbuster. Santino continues work on the midsection. He scores a two-count, kicks the gut, gets another two-count, and Santino is frustrated. Super Crazy rolls up Marella again, but only gets a two. Followed by another two-count for Crazy, which was crazy. Santino charged toward Crazy in the corner. Santino soon found himself with an armlock, that he was forced to break when the ref saw him in the ropes.…tsk tsk. Marella gets two knees to the stomac and tried to hit a splash on Crazy. Crazy then goes, uh, Crazy, double-stomping Santino's midsection, hitting him with kicks and hits a moonsault. Again, he only scores a two count. Santino finally hits aneckbreakers, out of nowhere almost, and grabs the three-count. Pretty good match. It doesn't blow your mind, but…it had length, it had action, and it was more than decent. The Highlanders are making their way to the ring. They are taking on the now new Tag Team Champs Cody Rhodes and Bob Holly. The crowd is chanting "hardcore". Cody and Robbie start it off with a lock-up. Robbie gets the arm of Cody, tries pulling him to the Scotsmen's corner, but Rhodey shoves Robbie into Rory. (phew) Cody wants to lock-up again, but Robbie kicks him, gives him a headbutt, and Rory is tagged in. Rhodes sends Rory into the ropes, but it's The Highlander who gets the shoulderblock. Rory whips Cody into the ropes, and it's Rhodes who gets the hip-toss. With a twist of Rory's arm, Cody tags in our old buddy Hardcore. Rory responds by tagging in Robbie. In the ring, Bobby (not the one Donald Trump loves…) is in full control, working on Robbie's arm, hitting it with every move imaginable (Legdrop to the arm, chucking Robbie shoulder first into the corner post, stomping on the forearm). Hardcore gets some Ric Flair chops in, the crowd demanded more, and so Holly obliges. Hardcore Bob sends Robbie up and takes him down with a suplex. Rhodes gets tagged in, and continues the work on Robbie's arm. Robbie gets a punch, runs and tags in Rory. Rory runs in, and gets a hip-toss from the Lone Rhode. He hits a dropkick to Rory, Hardcore runs in to take Robbie out of the equation, but teamwork from Rory and Robbie send Cody outside the ring. A quick hype for the 15th Anniversary RAW And the Highlanders have taken control over young Cody. They continue the beat-down, following the same basic formula: I'm genuinely surprised. After taking over for HEAT reports, I've noted that rarely, you'll get an episode of HEAT that overall was just good. Sure, it was 3-matches this time around, a lot for what, 25 minutes? And all three of them were more than decent, they had the action, they weren't so much one-sided. Not bad at all. That's it for me. As always, I appreciate you reading, and I always welcome feedback. You can always e-mail me (
