The TNA Impact Report: Dixie Lays Down The Law, Joe Warns AJ About Daniels, and Rhino Confuses His Friends

By Jay Winterz Nov 6, 2009 - 7:16 PM

And here we go...

We start off with clips of Hogan's press conference.

We then go to footage from earlier that day. TNA President Dixie Carter is shown talking to the TNA roster. She tells them that changes are happening and that she needs everyone to step it up in every way. Carter mentions that some people might like what's happening and others may not. So pretty much if you don't like it...you can work somewhere else. She says it's time for Total Nonstop Action go to the next level.

Here comes A.J to the ring. He talks about Hogan for a second, saying "Who would have thought" he would ever be part of the TNA family. He then moves on to talk about the mystery person who has been attacking him in the back. He wants whoever it is to come out now...

And here comes Christopher Daniels. Daniels asks AJ why he would think it was him behind the attack. Daniels then goes on to say that A.J has been catered to his whole career in TNA. Then he called him spoiled. He also went on to say that every time A.J was down the company would help him back up....

"And every time I  was up, the company would push me back down!"

A.J. then says that Daniels has never said anything to him like that.

Out steps Samoa Joe.  The Samoan Submission Machine tells A.J. that there is a lot that Daniels cannot say to him because Daniels is working him. He then explaions that they are not friends because to be the best you have to be TNA champ! Joe doesn't have to attack you from behind, Styles. Daniels says he doesn't have to either...because he "can beat him here in the ring."  Challenged, A.J accepts and it's on tonight. Joe walks away happy about how this has turned out.

They show the attack by the World Elite on Beer Money.

Match 1:

Eric Young and Rob Terry vs James Storm and Robert Roode

This match had a lot of back and forth action. Also a lot of cheap shots. And, of course, classic Roode And Storm antics. All in all, it was a decent match. In the end, Young accidentally hits Rob Terry with the belt and while Storm is beating down Young, Roode goes ahead and gets the three count.
Winners: Robert Roode and James Storm

After the match, World Elite attack Storm and Roode. Security comes out to the ring and the World Elite leaves.

Magnus and Williams are then attacked by Sabin and Shelley on the stage and security has to separate them.

They show Madison, Velvet, and Lacey walking in the back.

Next up, we see Lacey, Velvet, and Madison enter Sarita’s dressing room, but ODB is in there. ODB has some words for them, but they're just words.  The beauties beat ODB down to the ground in response.

From there, we head to Jay Lethal and he is freaking out about the MEGA powers getting back together. Lethal talks about what Savage did with Hogan, but puts himself in The Macho Man's place. He wants to be the first to welcome the Hulkster to TNA and says that TNA is the new home of the MegaPowers.  He mentions that he will have an open challenge to all legends. (Does this mean the entry in all of Hogan's old buddies? If so, I think this will be fun.)

Jereymy Borash enters Mick’s office. He wants to know what is the deal is with Abyss. Mick says that he has a surprise for the monster.

We see footage from last week’s match between Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe.

Match 2:

Desmond Wolfe vs Cody Deaner

The announce team has Kurt Angle on the phone. While he was saying hello, Wolfe was finishing off Deaner with his clothesline from hell or wherever it's from.  Hell or wherever doesn't matter.  All I know is that it's wicked. He gets the three count in a squash.
Winner: Desmond Wolfe

Angle is still on the phone and says he has a pinched nerve in his neck.

Desmond takes a mic and talks about how he destroyed Kurt Angle, and refers to him as Kurt Mangled.  He admits he does not know why Angle wants anymore of him, butwill give Angle the chance.

After interviewing Suicide, Lauren joins Team 3D. Ray talks about Hulk Hogan for a few seconds and says he never thought he would hear Hogan and TNA would be together. Ray then says that Dixie has the biggest set of grapefruits you'll find. He then moves on to Rhino... which cues Rhino.  The Man Beast asks if it is a coincidence that Team 3D is wrestling the men trying to take his spot.

They show Tara walking in the back with her spider.

We then watch footage of Kong’s attack on Tara last week.

Match 3:

Tara vs Hamada

This match was OK.   I thought it would be a little better, seeing that both knockouts are very good talents. They went back and forth for the first few minutes. Hamada hit a belly to belly suplex, then went for her moonsault only to land on Tara's knees. Tara hit the widows peak for the 3.

Winner : Tara

After the match, Awesome Kong comes out and she goes after Tara.  Security gets in the middle but Tara hits a cross body of the top rope onto Kong and security on the floor.

Lauren is with Tara and tells her that she never saw anyone take care of Kong like that. Tara says that Kong better think twice about their cage match at the PPV.

Mick Foley comes out to the ring. He says that he has a "GIFT-O-ROONIE" for Abyss. Abyss comes out, but Foley reveals he will give him the gift later.  He wants The Monster to just listen for now. Foley says that he never felt guilty about saying something about a wrestler, except when he said what he did about Chris. He did not mean to call Abyss a cheap carbon copy or rip-off of him. Foley says that he knew Chris was good and he needed to get in the ring to find out. He learned that Abyss is better then he thought. Foley gives Chris his gift - a caricature of them and he then leaves the ring. Abyss does his slow Eugene-like clap. and then..

Foley says that he put Chris through a hell of a test at Bound for Glory, but now he has another test for him. Next week, it will be Abyss vs Dr. Stevie. If Abyss wins Dr. Stevie, is gone from TNA.

J.B is with the "BIG BAD BOOTY DADDY" Scott Steiner and he asks about the arrival of Hulk Hogan. Steiner mentions the NWO and says that Hogan is going to put all of the young punks in their place and Hogan can join him in the Main Event Mafia. Steiner also talks about Bobby Lashley and Kristal. Scott says that he knows that Kristal isn't  being satisfied and that she wants to be his biggest freak.

They play the comments from Matt Morgan about the signing of Hulk Hogan and what it means to him.

Match 4:

Homicide vs Bobby Lashley

Before the match starts, the referee makes the beautiful Kristal go to the back.

Homicide attacks Lashley from behind. He gets about five moves in before Lashey catches him. Bobby then picks him up, in what at first looked like it was going to be a back drop but turned it into a chokeslam for the finish.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the match, Homicide attacks Lashley but Bobby and has him up for a press slam.  But when he looks at the TNA-TRON and sees Steiner in the back hitting on Kristal, Lashley drops him.  He makes his way to the back and attacks Steiner. They go at it until wrestlers and security pull them apart.

Homicide is still in the ring and he pushes the referee down when Amazing Red comes to the ring and hits a tilt-a-whirl head scissors and spin kick. Red goes up top and hits a clothesline. Homicide finally leaves the ring.

They now run down the card for Turning Point.

Match 5:

Madison Rayne vs Taylor Wilde

Best part of this match was BUTT ANGLE CAMERA shot of Madison Rayne when she entered the ring. There was very little offense from either Knockout. Taylor hits a belly to back suplex into a bridge for the win.
Winner: Taylor Wilde

After the match, Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich attack Taylor. Sarita comes to the ring and she takes care of Velvet and Madison for a second but Velvet attacks Sarita. ODB then comes out to even it up, then they clear the ring.

They show A.J. Styles getting ready for his match.

Matt Morgan and Hernandez are with Lauren.

Match 6:

A.J. Styles vs Daniels with Guest Referee Samoa Joe in a Non-Title Match

This was a decent match with the time they were given. They went back and forth. Great offense from both guys in this match. Surprisingly enough, Joe was calling it right down the middle. In the end Styles hits a springboard forearm but Daniels is able to counter it and both men are down. Styles then hits a moonsault but Daniels counters into an inverted DDT attempt, but Styles rolls through and hits the Styles Clash for the three.

Winner: A.J. Styles

After the match, Joe hands Styles the title belt and raises his hand. Joe then leaves the ring, only to sneak back in and he then goes on to choke Styles out.

Hernandez talks about the arrival of Hulk Hogan in TNA.

Lauren is with Dr. Stevie and Daffney and she talks about Stevie’s match next week.

Match 7:

Team 3D vs Matt Morgan and Hernandez

First off..BOOOOO!! to this as a main event match. Anyway..

(I'm sure those who read my updates every week, you know I do not like Morgan or Hernadez . So i will try to write this section without being bias.)

Here we go.. Morgan sucks off the match.. I mean starts off the match with Devon.  Sorry bout that.  I'm trying. They battle a little until Hernadez gets the tag. Devon controls for the moment until Hernadez hits a flying shoulderblock. Devon favors his knee after landing awkwardly. Hernandez goes for the knee and drops an elbow.

Rhino comes to the ring and he says something to Ray. Rhino triesget Ray to use a chair. Bubba pushes Rhino down, takes the chair, and tells the former ECW Champ to leave. Ray puts the chair on the apron. Hernandez continues to work on the leg. Morgan tags in and he works the leg. Matt nails an atomic drop to the knee. At this point, he's ready to go for a choke slam. Seeing this, Ray hits Morgan in the back with the chair and then he hits Hernandez in the head with it. The ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Morgan and Hernandez by DQ

After the match, Rhino hugs Ray. Ray pushes Rhino away and so does Devon. (Also for those of you who read this on a weekly basis, you know I do not care for RHINO either), but in this case I am happy to say Rhino with a GORE, GORE, GORE to Hernandez and then Rhino with a GORE,GORE,GORE to Morgan as well. The Man Beast raises Team 3D's hands while Ray looks confused.
