I'm back for this week's Impact episode. I don't think I'll be available for next week's, however. I'm not sure what happened last week, because I didn't get to watch it.
Tonight's Impact opens with a TNA Global Championship match. AJ Styles accompanied by Kazarian is challenging Rob Terry. AJ Styles becomes the new TNA Global champion after Rob Terry goes for an over the rope suplex and Kazarian trips him and holds his foot, allowing AJ to get the pinfall.
In the locker room, Madison Rayne and Sarita are making fun of Velvet Sky. Velvet then comes up from behind Madison and confronts her. Commercial.
Back in the Impact Zone, Angelina Love and Taylor Wilde are going to have a tag match against Sarita and Madison Rayne. Earl Hebner grabs a mic and tells Angelina Love that she must give the Knockout's Title back to Madison Rayne. Angelina gets the win for her team with a modified Pay Dirt. The motorcycle lady comes out to the ring. Velvet and Lacey come walking down the ramp to see what's going on. Madison calls for them to follow her out, but only Lacey follows. Commercial.
Backstage, Dreamer, Foley, Raven, Rhino, and Richards are walking and talking.
Our next match is #8 Kurt Angle against #7 Hernandez. This is a good back and forth match, with both guys hitting and missing high impact moves. Angle gets the win after he reverses a vertical suplex into the ankle lock and makes Hernandez tap out. Out comes Kevin Nash for some reason. He passes Angle and shakes his hand. He then calls out Jeff Jarrett. Commercial.
Back from the break, Jarrett heads to the ring. Nash sides with Sting and tells JJ he is selfish.
Backstage, Dixie Carter tells Kurt Angle to have faith in her. Commercial.
Next up is Samoa Joe against Jeff Hardy in a 10 minute time limit matchup. During the match, Eric Bischoff phones in to the broadcast booth. He says that he and Hulk are supportive of Dixie Carter and her announcement for later tonight. This match is a doozy. The match ends in a draw after the 10 minute time limit expires. That's the way it should have been. This is a definite main event caliber match at a PPV. After the bell, the two continue to go at it until several referees come to break it up.
Backstage, Jarrett and Dixie are talking about her announcement later. Jarrett says he trusts her. Commercial.
Our next matchup features Matt Morgan against Mr. Anderson.....Anderson. Anderson gets the win when he reverses a pull through clothesline into the Mic Check. After the match, Anderson's mic lowers and Morgan grabs it and smashes Anderson in the head with it. Commercial.
Back in the Impact Zone, we are getting the second match in the best of 5 series between Beer Money and the Motor City Machine Guns. This match is a street fight. Beer Money won the ladder match last week to go up 1-0. The winner of this match gets to pick the stipulation for the next match. This match has a bunch of false finishes and near falls. Beer Money gets the win after James Storm hits Alex Shelley in the head with a beer bottle and Roode gets the cover. Beer Money is up 2-0 in this best of 5 series.
Backstage, Devon tells Ray that he has the ECW guys' backs because they are like family. Ray tells him that they have nothing left to prove with those guys. Commercial.
Back from the break, Christy Hemme interviews RVD about being toe to toe with his old ECW buddies. He says there is nothing more he can ask for.
Backstage, Dixie is walking towards the Impact Zone. Commercial.
As we come back from the break, Dixie Carter makes her way to the ring for her announcement. She then brings out Dreamer, Raven, Rhino, Richards, and Foley. She tells them that they meant to the 90's and extreme wrestling what Hogan meant to the 80's. Dixie is so out of place in the ring. Everybody talks up the original ECW (Can't Vince sue TNA for this?). Dreamer then dumps on the WWECW and says that's why he quit. He begs Dixie to give them one night to let their legacy live on. She then says the 5 of them have to plan it on their own and that TNA is giving it to them. Dreamer then says TNA is going extreme. This ends the show.
