The votes have been tabulated.  The Pay-Per-Views for 2007 are in the record books.  What was the best of the bunch?  You chose.  We chose.  Here ya go...

2007 Insanity Reader's Choice For PPV of The Year is...

WrestleMania 23

2nd Place:  ROH Man Up
3rd Place:   WWE Royal Rumble

For the second year in a row, our readers have chosen WWE's WrestleMania offering for PPV of the year.  Always one of the highlights of the company's schedule, WM lived up to that rep in this, their 23rd offering.  This year's event featured John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels, Undertaker vs. Batista, Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga, and MVP vs. Chris Benoit,  among other matches.

Reader Comments:

"It led off with the great Money in the Bank and featured two great title matches, it wasn’t the best Wrestlemania but it was a good enough show to make the year seem like it had come full circle. "
- Adam Airforce

"It is very easy to say Wrestlemania 23, but I will say it anyway. Almost every match on the card was fantastic. The aforementioned Cena-Michaels. Batista-Undertaker was great as well. The money in the bank ladder match was incredible. Even the Lashley-Umaga match with Trump and McMahon battling for the right to shave each other bald was fun. To watch the look on McMahon's face as Lashley, Trump, and Austin shaved him bald was priceless. And even though it was pretty predictable, it was still fun to see Austin give the Stunner to Trump at the end. All in all it was a great show, and the best of the year."
- Ken Langston

"This is by default really. WM23 was great, but really...what else was better? No Mercy, maybe, but that was a sheer accident."
- Green Teabagger

2007 Insanity Staff Choice For PPV of The Year is...

ROH Man Up

2nd Place:  WrestleMania 23
3rd Place:   WWE No Mercy

Hailed by many as one of the best showcases of wrestling in the U.S. this year, ROH Man Up impressed long time fans and new viewers alike.  With matches like Kevin Steen and El Generico vs. The Briscoes in a Ladder War and Takeshi Morishima vs. Bryan Danielson, it's easy to see why.

Staff Comments:

"I can count the number of pay-per-views this year where every single match was at least really good on one hand. In fact, making this extremely easy, I can count them on one finger. No other PPV all year long had an instance where EVERY match was at least really good...none. Once you factor in the relatively inexpensive price of ROH pay-per-views and it's really not difficult to see that this company did a LOT of things right in 2007.

No pomp...no circumstance...no sparkle...no fireworks...no light show. Just wrestling. This PPV was fantastic and hands down, for me, the best of the year."
- ZAH

" Nothing but real good to great matches from the opener to the main event. Nothing on this show was just regular good or average. Everything was VERY GOOD. No show in 2007 from a wrestling standpoint holds a candle to it."
- Matt Dawgs

"I picked Man Up because unlike a lot of other pay shows, it didn't make me want to Throw Up."
- Crazy Uncle Ralph
