"This one should be a landslide. In terms of popularity, he’s been on top for years. Whatever the official reasons for putting the title on him now, the fact remains that the fans would not allow Jeff Hardy to go away because he is just that over and they wanted him to be champion. You don’t get more babyface than that."

No matter how many times he slips up, they support him, sometimes even more so than before. His time is now. Kudos to him for turning his life around and finally becoming a mega star but he is definitely the biggest babyface in the entire company. Even moreso than HHH, Taker, HBK and Cena."
"He is, with the possibility aside of John Cena, the most beloved babyface in the WWE today. Even arguably over HHH. Sure, he's had a bit of a dip recently, when he started with the paint, which drew some boos from the crowd. I certainly know from experience that he was getting boos in Manchester, albeit he was against Undertaker and HHH. But that said, he was getting a fair share of cheers then too anyway. Plus, he is a man who picked up a second strike against his name when it came to the Wellness Program. Some commentators believed he'd never get the ball. Some, such as myself, believed it would be at least a year with a lot of hard work, and demonstrative proof of a seachange in his beahaviour, before he'd get placed in position again where he could realistically win a major title. But it's been less than a year. Indeed, it's only been just over 6 months. And I believe a lot of that has to do with his sheer popularity."

"Jeff Hardy could fit into several categories in this year's awards. But Jeff Hardy's baby face, albeit grease painted, is another example of hell freezing over. He's also the reason I've started watching Smackdown again. I'm really enjoying the trend during 2008 of giving the fans what they want."
