It sounds crazy but it's awesome. Bad guy Punk is one of those things where it feels like the fans have made him a great heel. " I think the man to hate this year has been Chris Jericho. Form his stance on the legends in the lead up to Wrestlemania involving "The Wrestler", through one of the best feuds of the year with Rey Mysterio and onto his tag title run with, principally, Big Show, there hasn't been a man so constantly great on the microphone and in his in-ring mannerisms that have made him so easy to dislike this year than Chris Jericho."

"Edge was good but injured (as usual), Orton was excellent but he had the usual main event dance partners to make things easy (although he does get credit for keeping his 3211 matches with John Cena surprisingly fresh). CM Punk is doing a bang up job as the Straight Edge shithead but he worked part of 2009 as a babyface. Jericho is great on the mic, great in the ring, and great at garnering heat no matter who he works with. Whether it was WWE Legends, Rey Mysterio, or DX, Jericho has rightfully earned the spot of top heel in wrestling." - Mike Rickard
