By World Wrestling Insanity's Readers & Staff Dec 25, 2009 - 9:09 PM

It's official.  Fans love WrestleMania.  Every year since World Wrestling Insanity opened, our readers have chosen WrestleMania as the year's best PPV.  It wasn't until two years ago that the staff caught up with them.  Now, for the second year in a row...

Reader Comments:

" Every year the show delivers. Sure the main event was lousy, but the rest of the show was powerful. Lead by Taker/HBK the show was an epic event. You won't forget it.  "

" This category is also known as "What number WrestleMania was this year?"  Kid Rock and the curious fact that they kept calling it the 25th Anniversary when in fact it wasn't (it was the 25th Annual and the 24th Anniversary) aside, WrestleMania 25 was a good show, and WrestleMania will always be the king of Pay Per View wrestling. "

" What can I say. It might not have been the best Mania ever, but it was still a hell of a show. It only really had one problem in the Hunter/Orton main event, but I honestly believe the rest of the show made up for it. " - James Cebulski

Staff Comments:

" Taker v.s. HBK, Jericho v.s. Legends, Money in the Bank were all very memorable compared to 99% of the other matches I have seen this entire year ."
- R.D. Lee

" I think that the overall WWE PPV product this year will be rather underrated by the populace at large, be it due to declining numbers or pre-disposed attitudes into thinking that it will suck, but frankly, I can't recall a bad show overall this year.  Of course, there have been some matches that have lacked quality or not delivered the quality that was expected (such as the Cena/Orton Ironman match), but those have generally been spread throughout the year, and not all in one show.  Same can't be said for TNA, whose best shows, oddly enough, have come in the last couple of months when they've gone into auto-pilot.  Possibly one last hurrah showing what TNA, at least on PPV, could have been before Hogan comes in and probably tanks it once and for all in one way or another!"

" Great event with some good matches and the bset match of the year.  A hot crowd didn't hurt either.  It was also the only event I bought all year.
"
- Kevin Wallace
