"This is one where guys working for smaller promotions routinely get screwed because not enough people see them in action. This year though, I think Samoa Joe really delivered on the indy circuit as well as in TNA, showing heart and consistency. What's really amazing about Samoa Joe is that he's great in the ring, good on the stick, and he defies the conventional wisdom of what a wrestler should look like. Bryan Danielson had a great year too but Joe was all-star on both the indy and national level, edging his way to victory."
