JG's Insanity Notebook: Randy Orton's Brat Pack, Shrunken Sh-ah-n, Total Nonstop Maybe, Personal Memories of Killer Kowalski, and More

By James Guttman Sep 2, 2008 - 11:20 AM

Hey, guys.   I watched Raw last night, but didn't get to do a Raw Insanity.   So here's a new notebook.   Just a few things about a few things.   Here.   Take a gander:

- Randy Orton is like the really mean big brother to Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.   Making them a new style Horsemen stable would be the perfect move.   If D.H. Smith joins them eventually, it could be okay.   Personally, I would grab some luchadore, say he's El Gigante's kid and call him El Bambino.   But whatever works.

- Actually, they could just get Charlie Haas to play it.    "El Haasgante."   Awesome.

- Santino Marella reminds me of those Wooly Willy toys where you use a magnet to drag "hair" onto the picture of a cartoon man's face.

- So I guess Kane didn’t kill Rey Mysterio.   Did he rape him, though?   That is the question.   If Todd Grisham asks Rey that, I will be the biggest Todd Grisham fan ever.

- TNA has a new video game out this week.   I read a Q and A with the developer on IGN.   The answer to everything was " No. Not in this first version."   It all sounds very exciting.

- Mick Foley has definitely perhaps come to some sort of likely almost certainly probable talk with TNA Wrestling.   Definitely.

- Couture vs. Lesnar would be pretty crazy to see.   It'll be even crazier if Paul Heyman runs in and a midget jumps on Randy's back.   If Vince McMahon could somehow set that up, I would be the biggest Vince McMahon fan ever.

-   Rumors are making the rounds that Eric Bischoff may be starting his own promotion.   The current plans are for Hulk Hogan to feud with Screech and Todd Bridges (managed by Jimmy Hart).

-  The secret behind the entire Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels feud?   The way Chris says Shawn's name.   "What's the matter, Sh-ahhh-n?   Huh?   Shahn?"   It really bugs me, but that's probably the idea.   On the same front, another thing that bugs me is HBK's hair.   I think he grew the beard because without it, when his hair's pulled back, he looks like a shrunken head.

- It says a lot about Triple H that I don't fully expect him to annihilate the Scramble foes he has lined up.   If this was 2003, I wouldn't even order it.   Today, I have no idea.   Jeff Hardy would be a good choice.   When you factor in the Great Khali, literally any of these guys could win.   With a screw job-in-waiting like that, the world is their oyster.   Hell, they gave it to the black nail polish kid over on Raw, right?

- Hey.   Did you see Big Daddy V on ClubWWI?   Awesome, right?   I always considered Big Vis a personal favorite and even wrote about it in a column a few years ago.   I'll repost that at some point this week, but yeah.   Viscera, baby!   Talk about a great way to celebrate the Club's Two Year Anniversary.    The World's Largest Love Machine is in the house! Biggest Daddy V fan ever!

And finally, on a serious note…

- When I was about 15, I called Killer Kowalski and interviewed him for my newsletter.   He spoke to me for about 45 minutes and I remember being so excited.   Right around that time, Pro Wrestling Illustrated published the top 25 things every wrestling fan needs to do.   One of those things was to shake hands with Killer Kowalski.   I did that at John Arezzi's wrestling convention that year.   It was a great moment for me and he was a real class act.   Although a bit before my time, I heard war stories about Kowalski.   Seeing him on tapes years later validated them all.   As a wrestler and as a trainer, Walter Kowalski was a true great.   I was sad to hear of his passing and send my thoughts out to his friends and family.

That does it for me, guys.   Check back for more updates and all that good stuff.   Canadian Bulldog will be by later.   Put down some newspaper.   Be Well!
