If you're an MMA fan, better stock up on the popcorn. For the next two Saturday nights, fans will be able to enjoy pay-per-view quality prime time shows for the bargain price of free.
This Saturday night will be UFC's turn to present some exciting matchups live on Spike TV. The card will feature:
- Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin;
- Brandon Vera vs. Reese Andy;
- Hermes Franco vs. Frank Edgar;
- Cain Velasquez vs. Jake O'Brien;
- Anthony Johnson vs. Kevin Burns;
- Jesse Taylor vs. CB Dolloway; and
If the names Jesse Taylor and CB Dolloway ring a bell, they were finalists on the most recent season of "The Ultimate Fighter." In fact, Taylor had made it all the way to the final match. At least til Dana White kicked him out of both TUF and UFC for conduct unbecoming. Guess Dana is a forgiving sort after all.
The show will be live from The Pearl at The Palms in Las Vegas. Check local listings for time and channel.

Then next Saturday, July 26, EliteXC is back on CBS for another episode of "Saturday Night Fights." The debut episode was a ratings hit back in May, and chances are people are eagerly awaiting the next one.
The show will be live from the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. And when in Stockton, it's almost a given that one of the Diaz brother will be on othe card. This time it is Nick Diaz, who will be facing Thomas Denny.
Other matches on the card include:
- Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith in the EliteXC middleweight title match that will also finish some unfinished business from their controversial May 31 CBS match;
- Jake Shields vs. Nick Thompson, in the EliteXC welterweight title match;
- The aforementioned Nick Diaz vs. Thomas Denny bout; and
- Shayna Baszler vs. Cristiane Cyborg.
Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo will return to admirably handle announcing duties.
The four fights will air on CBS from 9:00 pm-11:00 pm ET/PT. As always, check local listings for time and channel.
