Remember all those "news" items about the Hogans and their extended family that have appeared in the mainstream media over the past few months? Silly me for thinking that the paparazzi was picking on them when they might have liked some privacy in order to deal with personal family matters.
However, to the Hogans, there appears to be no such thing as private matters or keeping a low profile. They are experts at exploiting whatever situation comes their way, and the season debut of "Brook Knows Best" could best be described as a compilation of carefully scripted TMZ clips.
Of course, it is seen from Brooke's (and poor, put-upon HulkaDaddy's) point of view. This season (for reasons known to EVERYONE) Mom Linda has been relegated to the role of an old Cougar with a 19-year-old Boy Toy. The audience has not yet met Charlie the Boy Toy, but we did get to meet daddy's newest squeeze, a blonde (surprise) named Jennifer. Although Brooke was cool to Jennifer early in the show, by the end of the episode they were fast friends. At one point HulkaDaddy commends Brooke for taking the high road; however, it is apparent that the high road is paved with animosity for her mother. Anyone truly interested in the high road, would have left the rancor out of the script.
Mom Linda cannot be pleased with the heavy-handed way in which she is depicted, and it wouldn't surprise me if she ended up filing another lawsuit. And, frankly, I wouldn't blame her.
During the 30-minute episode, viewers were informed that She (Evil Linda) has custody of the mansion that Hulk paid for with 30 years of his blood, sweat and tears, while the Hulkster got stuck with the much smaller (but equally lavish) beach house. She now has the big boat "under seige," leaving poor Hulk with the "SS Minnow" (which held six comfortably). There was even a tearful scene on the dock that implied that She keeps Brooke from visiting her beloved puppies. (Real puppies--get your mind out of the gutter.)
So, will Hulk's ill-advised comment about O.J. Simpson be addressed on an upcoming episode? And will there be equal time for Linda to react to it???

Speaking of divorces, the Vickie/Edge break-up on Raw Monday night was pretty ugly. Bowling shoe ugly, as J.R. might say.
Vickie Guerrero has certainly been a good sport about the way she has been portrayed on the various WWE shows. And she must have incredibly tough skin. The swine joke, which seemed to be the beginning of the end for Vickie, may have started as a reference to a world-wide health crisis, but it was never very funny. However, in true WWE fashion, why take a little dig at someone when you can use a shovel and a whole barnyard to lay it on as thick as possible!
It did set up possible future scenarios for Edge and Santino to receive huge doses of payback down the line.
