RDLee's NXT Recap - I Would Rather Be Playing Halo Reach Edition

By RDLee Sep 14, 2010 - 10:05 PM

This will be an incredibly short recap due to obvious reasons *cough* HALO REACH IS OUT! *cough* but here I am, being punished for passing my RAW real time duties to Aaron Wood last night (who I should thank again by the way) . I took this show off my DVR after last week's disaster of a debut so I am not exactly expecting a homerun tonight either.

-

Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn v.s. A.J. Lee and Primo

No... A.J. is not related to me. It's her loss. This was a short match. The women didn't get to work very much and Ziggler got the pinfall on Primo after a Zig Zag. I don't see the point of putting established superstars over in a match this short when they only have a few weeks left to try and get these divas over. I really don't care about the women's division either way.

Winners: Kaitlyn and Dolph Ziggler

-

We had another rookie competition. It was a joke telling contest. Oh my dear god. The joke is on me I guess. I can't remember what they said because most stuttered or spoke in different languages. Everyone picked on A.J. for some reason. Ugh. Jamie won with the crowd support. Michael Cole stood up to gong them afterwards (?) and said that the whole show sucked and should be gonged. WHAT THE HELL? It was really random and very strange. This show is lame.

-

Jamie Keyes v.s. Aksana

Goldust is money but even he can't save this show from being garbage. This was another short contest that showcased Jamie's ability to sell shitty moves. The former ring announcer of NXT got the win with a surprise roll up. Why bother having matches to help them get exposure if they won't be longer than 2 minutes? It makes no sense. Oh well. Who cares?

Winner: Jamie Keyes

-

We ended the show with a Diva rookie obsticle course which was won by Kaitlyn in 37.2 seconds. Vickie Guerrero was proud of her. Cole hit the gong again and said the show was ridiculous and that he was done. He left to a big pop from the crowd as the show ended. That's it for me. Time to get back into the world of Halo: Reach!
