RDLee's NXT Report - Can A-List Handle The Truth?
I'm sitting here playing the UFC Undisputed 2010 while eating Hawiian Pizza flavored popcorn I ordered from Popcorn Have. Be jealous! We start the show off with the rookies standing outside the ring facing the ramp as Matt Striker tells them next week one of them will be eliminated. Tonight the rookies are doing a literal obstacle course. I don't even know what to say... this is a damn joke! The winner will get an immunity pass for the eliminations next week. Daniel Bryan was up first and finished in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. The Miz came out and ran down Daniel for his slow race time. He told him he has a match against Michael Tarver tonight and if he doesn't win he will make sure he is eliminated. - Daniel Bryan (w/ The Miz) v.s. Michael Tarver (w/ Carlito) Tarver was sporting an AWESOME NWO style NXT t-shirt. Tarver is 0-7 while Bryan is 0-9 so someone will finally gain a win tonight which should help them out next week in the elimination process. I feel so sorry for Tarver because he is obviously trying his hardest to get himself over while he stuck with the worst pro and his 1.9 KO punch finisher was banned by WWE because Big Show does it. He can't seem to catch a break. I can see him getting eliminated next week and then being hired by Ted Dibiase as his new "Virgil". I missed the finish because my stream shut down however when it came back up I heard Carlito's music so I guess that means that Tarver picked up the win somehow... and good for him even though it's probably too late. Winner: Michael Tarver - Heath Slater was next up on the rookie challenge and finished in 1 minute and 37 seconds. He is now in the lead. Darren Young came out and took his turn and fell off the monkey bars right off the bat and then fell over the barrier on his way back to the ring. This is making the rookies look really stupid and WWE should be ashamed of themselves for this. Young failed to beat the time and finished just under 2 minutes. After the commercial we saw Justin Gabriel try his luck at the retarded challenge and he became the new leader by finishing in 1 minute and 29 seconds. David Otunga was up next and lost by only 6 seconds. After he finished up he was told that his match with R-Truth was right now. - David "A-List" Otunga v.s. R-Truth Truth faked a handshake and slapped Otunga to start the match. He seemed to have been teaching the rookie not to fall for that classic trap. Overall not much to say about this match. Otunga did really well but he fell victim to Truth's Lie Detector corkscrew spinning back elbow finisher. Michael Cole said he hopes he gets to hang out with R-Truth one day and say "What's Up"... Oh lord.... Winner: R-Truth - Wade Barrett fell off the monkey bars twice and gave up on the challenge. The ref DQed him. Skip Sheffield was next and came very close to winning but fell 2 seconds short. Confusion set in when Striker congratulated him even though he lost. Gabriel is still in the lead. Tarver fell off the monkey bars twice too. He was really slow and lost by the time he got to the drinking part of the challenge and threw his drink on the ground only to be DQed. Gabriel won the challenge and then tore down Otunga who responded by saying that he checked with Nielson and he equaled ratings. Striker then asked Tarver who he thought should be eliminated first and he said himself so the rookies would be safe. The other rookies chimed in and said they agreed that Michael Tarver should go home first. Daniel Bryan then said that since he is the only one that hasn't won a match yet so he should be eliminated. Darren Young was asked next and he said he wanted to stay more than everyone else. Wade Barrett disagreed and pie faced him and they began a brawl on the floor until the show ended. blog comments powered by Disqus
