RDLee's NXT Report - Find Out If Daniel Bryan Apologizes To Michael Cole And His "Cole-Miners"?

By RDLee May 25, 2010 - 9:48 PM

Welcome to the NXT report, I am RDLee. To be totally honest with you I almost forgot about NXT coming on tonight since I am still recovering from the lack of LOST on Tuesday nights. Couple that with the fact that I am also playing UFC Undisputed 2010 and my mind is in a million directions.

Tonight we eliminate another rookie. The WWE Pro's were brought out to the stage again just like last week when the show began. CM Punk did come out selling the effects of his hair cutting at Over The Limit. New US champion R-Truth took his place. The NXT Rookie's came down to the ring next. We found out that next week is the NXT season finale.

Striker asked the rookies who should go home. Wade Barrett says all of them but especially Slater because he hates his hair, Justin Gabriel says David Otunga because he can't wrestle, David Otunga says Justin Gabriel because when he is on the mic he is like a deer in the headlights. Heath Slater says Wade Barrett because he doesn't know why his ugly mug with a crooked nose is still around. Short and pointless segment. Next up some of the rookies will team with their pros.

Heath Slater and Christian v.s. David Otunga and R-Truth

Christian and R-Truth have really good chemistry in ring. I wish they had a chance to work a program against each other. Otunga isn't the best worker in the ring but he certainly isn't the worst I've ever seen. Heath Slater looks like a lesbian Julianne Moore lookalike and I will never be able to forget about that when I see him. I hope he is the one who is elminated tonight. He is really talented in the ring but his character and look really water him down in most people's eyes. David Otunga was hit by a diving crossbody off the top rope by Slater but he rolled thru and captured the 3 count to win the match for his team.

Winners: David "A List" Otunga and R-Truth

Michael Cole was in ring with security as he ran down what happened between him and Daniel Bryan last week. They showed the video package of Bryan's rant and attack on Cole. I still think it's the best segment on WWE TV this year. Cole said his legal team told him that he could sue Daniel for everything he is worth after what he did to him last week. Mike said he would be the bigger man tonight and give Bryan a chance to make it all right by apologizing to him or else he would take him to court. Bryan came out as Cole hid behind the security. Bryan said he was gonna apologize but there was no need for the security. Cole kept instigating him and then said he would give him a chance. He told the security to go ahead and leave the ring but wait outside. They shook hands only for Bryan to go off on Cole about how he is a shitty announcer. They yelled back and forth at each other until Cole got the upper hand by telling him that he tapped out from the competition and that he was a loser and had no heart. That pissed Daniel off and he went after Cole only for security to drag him away. The Miz taunted Daniel on the stage to which Bryan engaged in another pull apart brawl with him too! GREAT SEGMENT! Bryan Danielson is a star now folks!

Wade Barrett (w/Chris Jericho) v.s. Justin Gabriel (w/Matt Hardy)

The announcers put over how Gabriel reminds them of pop culture icons like Zack Morris and that he has the "It Factor". That must be a joke because the only thing I see in Justin is his amazing in ring ability. Wade Barrett is the complete package, he has the size, look, in ring, and mic skills to be a main event star in the next 2-3 years. My prediction is that Barrett will be in the main event of Wrestlemania 30. Bold statement but I could see the progress taking place to get him to that point in the next few years. Gabriel dazzled the crowd with his unique offense and actually picked up the clean win after hitting his breath taking 450 degree splash.

Winner: Justin Gabriel

Now we see the newest Pro's Poll to find out who is going home. The results were as follows:

1. Wade Barrett

2. David Otunga

3. Justin Gabriel

YES!!!! HEATH SLATER IS ELIMINATED! Christian said that he still thinks that Heath still has a bright future and that he is proud of him. Miz said he that he never felt the passion from Heath. He never showcased the wow factor. Sometimes he was good, sometimes he was off, he should never be off in the WWE. R-Truth said this place was the survival of the fittest and better luck next time. Jericho said that it didn't matter who was eliminated because Wade Barrett is destined to win. He told Barrett that he can't lose to clowns like Otunga and Gabriel. He told him to show that he is the best and start acting like it. Heath Slater got the mic and said he done far too much in too little time. He was the first rookie to beat a pro and the first one to win a challenge. He lost first only to Kane. WWE magazine voted him the best rookie. He told Jericho that he beat him too. He finished by saying that the encore is coming and that he will blow our minds... I sure hope not...

Join me next week as we finish up NXT's first season. Thanks for reading, have a good night and Stay Classy!
