Hot Threads: Lacey Von Erich's POV Beatdown, Samoa Joe's Future Prospects, Why the Nexus Fails, and More

By Mike Johns Dec 22, 2010 - 11:57 PM

Did you know that World Wrestling Insanity has a Message Board?  Yep. We've done got us one of them there fancy Message Boards, where you, the random, unnamed wrestling fan can go and vent your frustrations. From WWE's Family Friendly Direction, to ROH's Production issues, to whatever stupid stunt TNA is running with this week, the Insanity Message Boards is your place to speak your mind. You can also interact with fellow Insanity Readers, as well as the Insanity Staff. We even have an E-Fed, if you're into that whole "Role-Playing" thing, so feel free to stop on by and join in the fun!

In the meantime though, here's a taste of what you're missing –

Hot Topic Hey, you remember that sex tape featuring Batista's Daughter that was released last week?   Yeah, I know, I didn't mention it here (as I would in NO WAY be able to get away with posting it here), but chances are, if you're a member of our Message Boards, you saw this abysmal attempt at amateur porn.   Speaking of abysmal attempts at porn, check out what our old pal Aaron Wood found –

Aaron Wood
OK, so this isn't TNA news per se, but if we can have Batista's daughter's sex tape in the WWE News section, I'm sure as hell putting what seems to be Lacey Von Erich doing some incredibly softcore fetish porn video here...

James Guttman
Finally! The perfect holiday gift for that special someone in your life who dreams about trying to rape a female wrestler in the ring.   Those Best Buy giftcards were getting so played-out...

galaxy
That's nothing new, haven't a bunch of KOs done that? Angelina Love, ODB and So Cal Val spring to mind.

Bit surprised Lacey has to resort to that. Doesn't she run her own business or something?

Aaron Wood
Yeah, she's apparently really quite smart. Just not for the wrestling business though.

RYTMAN
And the sad irony here is... This is Lacey's most convincing in ring performance.

shooting
I wonder what would be worse that or a piece of coal?

I won't class it as porn but the way that guy (I'm guessing its a guy) moved Lacey's hair was off putting.

squirrelz!
huh... Personally, I prefer my not quite porno pornos to not be POV's kicking me in the metaphorical testicular region... and there's not even a sideboob shot! What kind of not quite porno pornos is this? I'm shocked and or appauled!

RowdyRodimus
that Lacey vid is less erotic than Batista's daughters porn. That's just sad.

galaxy
You know I try to to be as open minded as possible about people's sexual preferences/choices (consenting adults and all that) but that shot of Lacey getting choked and strangled, from the cameraman's point of view (a stand in for the viewer obviously) completely made my skin crawl.

ZAH

Mike Johns
Agreed. That video was painful.

Customs (as some in the industry refer to them) are common, and many girls do them, including the aforementioned Angie, ODB and Val. But there's different levels, and types. There's some, which is more or less two women in an empty arena match. Then there's the fetish stuff, which can range from the sexualization of grappling (and seeing women stretched in submissions), to bikini, to topless, to strip-fighting, to nude wrestling, and everything in between.

This video here definitely leans more towards the fetish, as she was barefoot, there were many low blows on both sides, and I noticed some gut punching (which, for some reason, is another constant of female combat porn). It's common to see even some names (the aforementioned Angie, Val, and even the likes of Rain and Lacey) do this kind of stuff, even the fetish stuff, because it pays a HELL of a lot more than wrestling does. Because, of course, it's basically porn, you make porno money. The more you're willing to do, the more work you get, and the more you get paid.

And you can pretty much thank an Allison Danger shoot for my current knowledge of wrestling fetish customs, as, outside of a few Sleeper Kids promos featuring Rain and Lacey, I've actually seen virtually NIL of this stuff.

Except maybe for that one April Hunter NWWL match...

galaxy
RE: The videos girls do. Does TNA put any restrictions of them, or are they allowed to do whatever they want? Could Lacey have done that video while under contract, for instance?

Mike Johns
That, I don't know. I'd IMAGINE you'd have to get certain things cleared with TNA first, especially if you're actually wrestling for someone else, but whether or not videos like LVE's are covered, exactly, it depends on the contract you have. Plus, I have no outright idea when this was filmed. It could have been last week for all I know.

galaxy
Considering how broke some of the girls are rumoured to be, I'm willing to bet they aren't allowed to do some of the more risque stuff. I mean, if it pays as well as you say, more would probably be doing it. Many of the KOs I've heard of doing them seem to be from before TNA.

Mike Johns
Or... there's also the fact that not every girl is willing to do porn. No matter how well it pays.

galaxy
Oh, of course. But someone like Val is absolutely broke (check out her twitter; constantly shilling stuff and asking fans to buy her stuff). And she's done stuff like that in the past, so it's not a moral issue, so why doesn't she just return to that? Unless TNA are stopping her.

ZAH
Okay...I've stooped to watching that NWWL PPV, but I've never heard of this Rain & Lacey stuff. TELL ME MORE.   And WTH are they these days, anyway?

Mike Johns
Lacey and Rain doing Sleeper Kids Customs -

There's also Slamming Ladies, which is run by Lexie Fyfe, who does something similar,m but in an actual ring, and has featured the likes of Kong and Sara Del Rey. It's also the least sexual I've ever found. It's basically JUST an empty arena match, whereas Sleeperkids seems to cater more to the fetish (as far as stretching and submissions, at least), but not nearly as bad as some of the crap I've heard about. This stuff is TAME compared to anything you'd find via a porn "tube" search.

Rain is doing the Indy thing, when she's not teaching her various yoga classes. She did a stint in AAA, but I guess they're just not using her now, as it seems Jennifer Blake is the primary Gringa Loca these days. Word is her association with Sexy Star might be doing her in, as AAA isn't too happy about Star going to that one WWE tryout over the summer in Florida, and Rain is somehow connected to that. I don't know. Lucha politics are screwy, and I totally do not get the contract structure, or if there even is one, in Lucha. Meanwhile, she's been a major player in WSU, coming off a major feud with Mercedes Martinez for the WSU Title.

Lacey's retired. Personal reasons. Don't know what, but she basically called it quits in 2008. She's done a few appearances since, mostly as a manager for Rain and/or Jetta in SHIMMER and WSU, plus a few of these sleeper kid customs were done in the past year or so, but, for the most part, Lacey's apparently done with wrestling.

TheGreatWhiteDope
2 things

1) I kinda like the singlet Lacey look

2) That is more creepy than anything. I retract my previous statement.

3 *bonus* ) Lacey needs to come back / Go on a date with me. I mean...whichever works better for her.

Hot Topic Meanwhile, as this conversation was going on in the TNA News thread, another discussion took off as well, surrounding Samoa Joe resigning with TNA.

Aaron Wood
To that point, Dixie is saying on Twitter & FB that Samoa Joe has re-signed, although she didn't give details. Just says that she proud to have him on her side, so once again, mixing up storyline and real life.

Anthony.Analog
I couldn't find an Emoticon for :utterly depressed:

Alexander Phoenix
Why use 'utterly depressed' when there are about 1.6 bazillion pictures of Miz girl milling about?

Anthony.Analog
Her disappointment pales in comparison to mine.

Mike Johns
Beavis feels you, bro!

Bundorama
I'm glad Joe re-signed. The days of "The WWE Machine"/"All he has to do is sign with The WWE to be made a star/used properly", is gone. Just ask M.V.P. about that...

Aaron Wood
Yeah, because the WWE sure didn't turn that already huge "name" Antonio Banks into a star at all...

Bundorama
How much of that was due to The WWE's push, versus how much of it was due to Banks portrayal of the character? I'm not stating The WWE had nothing to do with it, but you can't say that just any wrestler would've gotten over like he did if put in the exact same position, just like you couldn't say TNA in and of itself made A.J. Styles....

Squeaky
Maybe it isn't a guarantee, but TNA has made ZERO stars. In fact it can be argued now that Joe is less of a star now then he was before TNA.

slimjames
Yeah, I think the whole thing isn't necessarily that he'd be guaranteed awesome in WWE, but the fact that TNA has been so start-stop with his pushes that it's not like he'd be walking away from a 'sure thing', it'd be nice to see him give it a shot at the 'big time'

Anthony.Analog
Joe's stock has turned to complete shit w/ TNA. And when Joe came in... TNA had the talent and angle (Joe/Daniels/Styles) to propel themselves into the spotlight. They f*cked it away because no one who has pull will tell Jarrett, Dixie, and Russo that their idea's f*cking suck and that new (casual) fans don't want to see the sh*t that drove them away from watching wrestling towards the end of The Attitude Era.

It's called The Attitude Era because Rock, Austin, Jericho, HHH, the Hardyz, E&C, etc... were HOTTER than WWF leftovers like Jarrett, Nash, Hall, Hogan, etc... WWE was struggling w/ NO fresh faces on the top of the card from 2003 until 2010... TNA was PRIMED to create new stars and they completely f*cked it up, being 72 kinds of inept that they are.

That's why Joe resigning w/ TNA effectively spells the end of his career... because it is.

Bundorama
This is the same creative team that gave a near 7 footer in Matt Morgan a stuttering gimmick in an attempt to get over,(shocked when that one didn't work out), and just finished that awful Cena is fired storyline, among various other things. TNA Creative has it's share of problems, but WWE's is really no better. If you'd put them in place of TNA's current Writing Team for 9-12 months, you think TNA would be doing better than what they are now? Doubt it....

The Green Teabagger
Yes. Yes I do. In fact, TNA would be doing MUCH better than what they're doing now. For one, there'd be some logic and continuity. That alone surpasses TNA. You forget that while WWE has had its pile of stinkers, it's had twice as many good storylines and gimmicks. TNA doesn't have that to its credit. When WWE screws something up, we brush it off. When TNA screws something up, it's business as usual. WWE finds something or someone that can make them money as gives them a chance or runs with it. When TNA finds a moneymaking gimmick or wrestler, they see it as a problem that needs to be quashed because it'll be at the expense of the useless old farts and WWE rejects whose feelings don't want to be hurt *or* they plug in the useless farts and WWE rejects, give them all the credit for it, and the TNA person who should have been elevated is still floundering around wondering why the hell he can't catch a break.

Forget Samoa Joe for a second. Look at what those clowns did to Abyss. They neutered him for YEARS for NO GOOD reason. He's only NOW starting to find his nuts again. Look what they did to AJ Styles just when he was coming into his own as THE top face in TNA. They brought in Flair, turned him heel into a wannabe Flair, then they had him drop the title to RVD on free TV, and turned him into a midcarder.

Not to mention what happened to poor Christopher Daniels as he was maineventing TNA pay-per-views pre-Hogan and then promptly disappeared.

Desmond Wolfe. What happened?

Need I go on?

Bundorama
Like I said, TNA's Creative Team has their share of problems, no doubt, but when you strip them of The WWE name behind them, I honestly believe they are no better than TNA's. Even if that's my subjective opinion, the numbers The WWE has been doing for the past few years don't lie. Attendance, PPV Buyrates, and Ratings have all gone downhill. Their biggest/hottest angle in years, The formation of Nexus, didn't lead to an increase in any of the aforementioned 3. Face it; This isn't the creative teams we had in late 90's/early 2000's anymore. They have been resting on their laurels for nearly 10 years now, getting by on name value alone. I think it sums it up when a talented performer like M.V.P. was willing to walk away from a guaranteed paycheck,(especially in these hard economic times), because he feels he wasn't used right by The WWE.

Joe probably realized this, and thus signed with TNA for less money than he would've scored with The WWE.

Anthony.Analog
MVP's main event bound push ended when he went on (I believe it was) Opie and Anthony talking openly about smoking weed.

Do I think he should've been punished for it, in terms of his momentum being completely halted, absolutely not. But it's like the Serena situation. You know the constraints of your company and their target audience (TV PG)... you jeopardize that and you have no one but yourself to blame.

Honestly, Joe's been making 6 figures w/ TNA... so, resigning would mean, more than likely, more money over the next few years than he'd be making w/ WWE while climbing up the ranks. But w/ Punk being in the position of influence he's in now... with Daniel Bryan having a successful run as US Champ... and w/ Kaval slowly building steam on Smackdown, it seemed like the opportune time to test his fate w/ them.

Also... if WWE was smart, they'd sign Joe, AJ, the Guns, and Beer Money away as soon as humanly possible. Those six guys are the backbone of TNA, and they'd crumble in a heartbeat w/o them.

WWE aside... even ROH would be a better look for the Samoa Joe character than TNA's creative climate. At least ROH would use him properly.

ZAH
In terms of the whole "creating stars" discussion....

To me, the argument about creating stars outside of the wrestling industry is really invalid because nobody knows anybody outside of WWE so it's an unfair comparison.Even from a WRESTLING standpoint, you could try booking somebody like Beer Money at an indy show vs somebody recently released by WWE (Snitsky? Luke Gallows?) and I'd dare say that the gate would be the same.

Hell...Kurt Angle has mentioned numerous times that people ask him what he's doing now. Ric Flair is constantly introduced as a former wrestling legend. This isn't on purpose...it's because NOBODY knows what TNA is (regardless of how much TMZ wants to promote a bad Jersey Shore storyline).

But guys like Samoa Joe and CM Punk WERE stars in ROH because they drew large crowds wherever they went (in comparison to what the normal gate would be). Those numbers are well documented. They were the main guys in the promotion and were pushed as such (especially Joe).

To me, TNA pushes wrestlers to a certain point and then backs off...thinking they've made a star and that person can now put somebody else over. It's not the right way to go because they've never actually created a star yet and, instead, have brought along an ex-WWE guy to be the "star" that's put over.

Take a Samoa Joe indy appearance when he was with ROH vs one now that he's in TNA and I'd dare say that the ROH one would have attracted a bigger crowd.

I could be wrong...just my opinion.

Hot Topic Man, this week has been a booming one on the Boards, let me tell you.   There's at least six different major discussions, all of which are Column-Worthy, that went down in the past three days, as well as an active PPV thread for TLC, a fairly active SmackDown discussion thread, huge buzz around the Main Event of the final WEC show, and the weekly party for Monday Night RAW.   The last two discussions you saw this week took place simultaneously in the same thread!   Yes, Virginia, that was just ONE THREAD this week.   This, though, is from the TLC thread, and, in a week that saw me bust out my knowledge of wrestling fetish porn, Bundorama try to make a case for Joe staying with TNA, TheGreatWhiteDope try to contain his excitement over Steen vs. Generico at ROH's Final Battle 2010 (this past Saturday on iPPV) while simultaneously declaring his love for Lacey (again), willsbigboy post a .gif of Antony Pettis nailing the Flying Chuck Kick on Ben Henderson (just to see RDLee make it his avatar), sparking a discussion on the effectiveness of the Flying Chuck in a real fight, plus, the debut posts of squirrelz! (who, as of this writing, has amassed over 65 posts in THREE DAYS as a member of the Insanity Boards), it's making it hard for me to decide what goes in this week.   So, as usual, when in doubt, we look to our fearless leader, James Guttman, to stir up some sh*t by talking about the Nexus…

James Guttman
Throughout the whole Nexus angle, every single person I've read a prediction from has had a better idea of where it should go than WWE has done with it. It's as if Vince McMahon is sitting somewhere going, "Ah. We don't have to do anything. Let everyone just use their imaginations. They can come up with good stuff in their heads to keep them entertained."

I agree with Aaron on the main page that they are definitely a botched angle, in the sense of all the opportunities they had to make it a big deal instead of a regular ol' stable. It's been a double edged sword, though. On one hand, the angle was shocking at first because WWE so rarely has faith in seven rookies to carry a top level spot on the show. It was surprising that they'd do it...

...so they didn't. With something like this, you have to go balls to the wall. Like Mr. Myagi said, you have to do karate yes or karate no. Do karate maybe-so and -squash - just like bug.

Aaron Wood
I mean, for me, it's not as if they had to do every single wacky thing that we came up with. It's just that one every occasion now, with the exception of the match that put Cena in Nexus, every important match Nexus have had, and specifically the ones where Cena was involved, they've come up short. And I just wonder why.

For instance, why did Nexus lose at Summerslam. Nothing but Bragging Rights on the line, and yet, not only don't Nexus go over strong with numbers to spare to establish their dominance, it comes down to Cena 7 Wade and Wade taps out clean. Sure , Nexus won the 5 vs. 5 match on RAW not long after, but the damage had still been done by Summerslam.

Then Cena was put in Nexus, and while I didn't personally think he necessarily had to wear the shirt or anything like that, since he was supposed to be as unwilling as possible, I don't think they went far enough in making Cena do their bidding against the babyfaces who were Cena's friends. They never really built up the quandry for Cena to be in of him doing things he hated doing and his friend not particularly liking him because of it.

Then there's Free or Fired. He gets fired. Fine enough. He gets a long farewell deal on the night. Fiar enough. He gets a farewell speech the next night on RAW. no problem. And then, rather than do anythign at all interesting with it, they not only not have Cena miss a single show, and indeed bt the focal point of them all but blow through it in one PPV cycle.

OK, if Cena is going to attack Nexus until he gets his job back, then have Barrett sell Nexus out at least until he's the last one left. Get a court injunction. Have Wade play the puppetmaster until they need to bring Cena back.

I think the obvious match tonight was a ladder match with a new contract on it for Cena while there was a legal document saying Cena was banned from WWE events completely as Wade's prize. But no, they just had Wade say Cena could come back for the sake of a chairs match with, again, nothing really on the line but Bragging Rights, and once again, Nexus come up short.

Canadian Bulldog said on Twitter that Wade was performing well and hanging with Cena. He was quite coreect. The match itself was good. But the booking was wrong, and Wade constantly coming up short isn't going to help him in the long run.

It may have been booked to all hell, but at least the WCW/ECW Alliance got their heat on the WWE side during the Invasion at important times.

Mike Johns
As I'm currently only watching enough WWE to know what Daniel Bryan is doing, and to see the occasional awesome from Natalya, I'm kind of at a loss on the whole Nexus deal. I mean, they knew what they had with these guys before they even put them on TV, or, at least should have. They knew Tarver and Young weren't ready for TV. They obviously should have seen how bad Heath Slater was before they put the Tag Belts on him for three weeks, then had him drop it to Santino and Kozlov (which, if that isn't an indictment of how much you suck, to lose your title push to Santino and Kozlov after three weeks, I don't know what is). They know Otunga can't really do anything. They really ought to know how limited Skip Sheffield is. How long were these guys under their care before they hit TV? It's not like they just signed the Nexus out of nowhere and put them on TV the next day like they did Aloisa. They know what they're dealing with.

So... if you know you have a group of suck ass rookies, why do you -
A- put them on TV, at all?
B- give them so much TV time that you're practically FORCED to keep using them on TV, considering how much time you initially spent building them up on their own damn show?
C- put them in a major angle you have to know they, as rookies, can't handle?
D- get mad at them when they can't do what you need them to do in the role you've put them in, knowing they were green as gourds and couldn't do it in the first place?
E- desperately try to reshuffle the deck so much so that the group you finally settle on to carry what's left of the angle is so radically different from the original that it might as well not even be the same group?
F- wonder why fans aren't buying it once you do?
G- half-ass the booking of said rookies in a major role because you know they're failing to deliver what you want them, to, even though at least HALF of the reason they're failing is because you're half-assing the booking because you don't have enough faith in the guys to carry something you know damn well they aren't able to anyway?
H- get upset when your plan, which you're half-assing anyway, isn't working?
I- do everything possible to try and save the angle once you know it's sinking faster than the Titanic (Cena forced to join)?
J- then not follow through with it at all, so much so that you practically abort the angle just as you begin it?
K- then wonder why your angle, which you sabotaged from day one isn't working?

Bottom line, WWE knows the Nexus can't handle the role, and book it accordingly, which is why its not working. I basically say, even if it was booked well, it would tank because the talent involved aren't good enough, experienced enough, or over enough to carry the role, at all, which is why WWE is half assing it in the first place. They know it too. The problem, ultimately, isn't JUST underdeveloped talent or half-assed booking. Its the system that allows Heath Slater to be in a Main Event Angle on TV in the biggest wrestling company in the world, less than two years into his career, with the skill level that's absolutely pathetic considering the amount of time he's actually been in the business.

This angle is, in my opinion, an indictment of the entire WWE Developmental System, its hiring practices, and its system for graduating folks to the main roster. It's also the primary reason I gave up on WWE wholesale in recent months. Between this, and the immature, preschool-level writing and characterizations (nevermind the lame comedy. Hell, I pointed this out while reviewing Superstars, in a segment where MVP and Ted DiBiase basically had an "I'm better than you because I'm rich/No, you're not, because I work hard!" argument to set up perhaps the most boring match I ever reviewed on that show, so much so that I made up an MVP rule to invoke every time I had to review a lame match, and just skipped to the finish)... I don't watch. And people get mad at me for this.

Hell, TNA sucks, but at least it's not treating me like a 2 year-old and shoving undeveloped talent down my throat, then half-assing the way they use them because they know they suck. No, instead, they're just trying to confuse the ever-loving crap out of you when they're not boring you to death.

Squeaky
The Nexus angle died at Summerslam. They had amazing heat until then, but ever since that PPV they have gone down hill. It still could have been saved with the angle of Cena joining the Nexus or even Punk doing something last night. The Nexus talent has gone from a gorilla warfare group to one that just gets beat up every week. Why would anyone be afraid of them or buy their shirts now?

I think you've overstating the effect the inexperience of the talent has had on the angle.

Mike Johns
If WWE had any faith in them, they'd have won at SummerSlam. Booking for Dummies would have had Nexus win the SummerSlam match. But they didn't. Why? Because WWE wasn't getting what they wanted from the Nexus. Note, the night after, the reshuffling began. If anything, the Nexus' lack of experience, IMO, isn't getting enough of the blame, compared to the blame we're pushing on the booking. The problem is, if they were booking it well, you know damn well the major complain with Nexus would be their lack of experience/skill. Bad booking has allowed us to give Nexus a pass on something that is more than likely causing the bad booking in the first place.

exx
I imagine when they originally put the angle together, Barrett and Bryan were probably planned to do most of the wrestling. But then Tie-gate happened and things had to change. I think the tag team in the group was probably going to be Gabriel and Sheffield. Sheffield seemed to be getting pushed before he got hurt. I think I would have went with McGillicutty and Harris as the tag champs over Gabriel and Slater though.

Last night's show is probably where it was planned to end anyway. Nexus was basically there to occupy Cena's time for the second half of the year while they had Orton in the main events. I don't even know where you really go with Nexus at this point.

Average

Mike Johns
hell, they'd get better training in OVW than they did in FCW

Bundorama
I'm guessing the whole "Greater Purpose" thing will probably be dropped, as will the reason that they attacked U.T. at B.R. and helped Kane win.(Incidentally, a fact Otunga threatened to expose when it looked like he was going to be kickled out of Nexus a few months ago...)

Aaron Wood
WILL PROBABLY BE DROPPED? I took it as read that it was dropped a LONG time ago.

squirrelz!
Not sure Nexus is done just yet. Sure, they've lost every modicom of momentum they had and will never get it back. I think they're done with Cena and might just keep picking fights with guys like Santino/Kozlov, maybe Morrison after the Rumble. My money is on them dying officially at the next draft as they will be split up. Hope everyone enjoys Barrett on the Blue brand

Bundorama
Did you read something somewhere that says it def was? On The "Free or Fired" stip for S.S., they were airing video packages of Barrett stating this proclamation. I was thinking that maybe somewhere along the line they would do some half-assed explanation for it in a "See! We didn't forget about that. That's what we had planned all along....um, yeah", kind of way. Sort of like how when and if The Mystery Raw G.M. will be revealed, whoever they pick will be a disappointment, and/or make no sense from the decisions they've made thus far; I.E.; Hate for Edge and Bret Hart, tending to favor Nexus, etc.

squirrelz!
I hope the mystery GM is Mike Adamle again. I miss him and his glitchy announcing style... and his lack of product knowledge. He is my business idol of perfection in the corporate world

On a side note, how the hell does Heath Slater still have a roster spot? Can't they just replace him with Yoshi Tatsu or something? Nobody would really notice if they did a bait and switch like that, would they?

The Green Teabagger
Well yeah they did. If you replace the chick from Wendy's with some Asian dude who walks to the ring to the theme music from Super Monkey Ball then it would be noticeable

squirrelz!
... but the asian guy would be wearing Nexus gear and coming out to that 12 Stones song. As long as they don't mention it on commentary, most of the audience won't even notice... People on this forum would but not little Johnny buttf*ck watching with his daddy in Boise

The Chosen 1
I don't understand HOW they can just drop the greater purpose thing for ONE reason... they didn't just say this at the beginning and then drop it... they said it at the beginning, "dropped" it....THEN they said it AGAIN.... THEN THEY DROPPED IT.. AGAIN. Makes no sense. How do you drop something, pick it up, and then throw it back down again.

The problem I had with the match last night was really just the placement of it... There was NO REASON to put that match on last if they weren't going to do some mind blowing reveal. Instead, it was so they could pull chairs down... which would have been cool... but WHY WOULD CENA PUT THE PULLEY CART THING OVER HIM FIRST? Oh man... it must've been so loud under there.

EDIT: Oh and it says A LOT about a group when TWO Members that were with the group from the beginning and SPOKE OFTEN on behalf of the team are basically replaced within a month's time (Skip & Tarver for Perfect Jr & Husky) and yet you don't feel as if anything has changed whatsoever. I think Perfect Jr has cut ONE 2 line promo since he joined the group and has had ZERO matches on their behalf.

Hot Topic And, lastly, our weekly RAW thread, because it just wouldn't feel right to end this week's edition without at least mentioning this –

Aaron Wood
Saw this awesome thing. Makes a good scorecard ahead of the Rumble.

Don't ask me why Edge is outside the thing.

squirrelz!
Damn, if this diagram is right and Punk wins... Time to pour a celebratory glass of Pepsi after the Rumble!

... Unfortunately the glass will mysteriously have some Jack in it

Drewcifer
I called it somewhere last week. Punk is going to win the Rumble. I can't remember which thread it was, but go back and look for it and screen-cap it.

Punk will then go on to the main event at WrestleManiaXXVII.

(Did I mention I already have my tickets for 'Mania?)

And, of course, the stupid thing Michael Cole said this week, as well as the awesome thing CM Punk said this week, as recapped by our friend, The Green Teabagger

"Cravate." - Punk

"The what?" - Cole

"Cravate." - Punk

"Oh okay." - Cole

"I'll speak slower." - Punk

This is just a taste of what you're missing on the Boards. Why don't you come by sometime and check it out for yourself, eh?   You never know when something you post may end up being the next Hot Thread.
