It is Week 2 of the Divas’ NXT competition. Alison Danger, after having lost a Falls Count Anywhere match to her most hated rival to date, Portia Perez, officially withdrew from the competition, leaving only 11 women remaining – Cheerleader Melissa, MsChif, Sara Del Rey, Amazing Kong, “The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater, Daizee Haze, the Canadian Ninjas (Nicole Matthews and Portia Perez), and the International Home-Wrecking Crew (Rain, Jetta, and the Lovely Lacey). Even now, one week in to the official competition, the women still know very little about what is going on, outside of the fact that they have all been gathered to compete on NXT for a chance at a guaranteed WWE Contract. With this in mind, the remaining rookies have been wise enough to travel together as of late, despite what misgivings they may have about one another. After all, this is the WWE they were dealing with, and WWE Superstars have been notorious for their fluctuating treatment of ‘outsiders’. No matter how nice they may seem to your face, there’s always some ploy or political power play that can come up at any moment to humiliate or outright destroy anyone seen as a threat to some in the WWE Locker Room. Not to say EVERYONE in WWE is a dick, mind you, but there are some who would definitely stand to make these women’s lives far more difficult than they deserve to be.
The ladies of NXT arrive at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at about 2 in the afternoon. There, in the parking lot, they meet up with Stephanie McMahon and NXT Host, Matt Striker.
“Well, hello again,” Ms. McMahon said to the NXT Rookies. “I’m glad to see that you’re all still here after all of this. I realize that some of you are still upset about how you came to be in this competition, and, furthermore, still have questions about exactly what you’re competing for, so, I’d just like to say, for the record, that the whole situation with Alison Danger was a mistake on our part, and we’ve already made an official apology to her and her family for the mixup. We’d also like to apologize to all of you for the confusion, but I would like to assure all of you that we do genuinely have an interest in signing one of you to World Wrestling Entertainment. So, with that said, I’m going to hand the floor over to Matt Striker, who is going to tell you more about the NXT Competition going forward.”
“Well, Ladies, I know you’ve all been wondering exactly what is at stake here,” Matt Striker began. “You already know that the winner of NXT will receive a guaranteed 1-year contract with either WWE’s RAW or SmackDown brands, as well a guaranteed title match on pay-per-view against a champion of your choosing. This season, though, the stakes are a little higher, as, on top of all of this, the winner of this season’s NXT will also receive a $25,000 signing bonus, as well as a guaranteed spot on the WrestleMania 27 card next spring.”
“Wait,” Sara Del Rey spoke up, interrupting Striker. “You’re telling me that the winner of this thing gets a year contract, a guaranteed title match on pay-per-view, $25,000 cash, AND a guaranteed spot on next year’s WrestleMania card?”
“Yes,” Matt confirmed. “Yes, I am.”
“You’re ribbing us, right?” Amazing Kong added. “I mean, yeah, we might buy the guaranteed contract and the title match, but you’re not serious about the money or the WrestleMania match…”
“Oh, we’re serious, all right,” Matt Striker said. “We are giving one of you the shot of a lifetime, and, in order to prove it to you, for your participation on NXT, each of you will be receiving a check in the coming days in the amount of $5,000, each.”
“There’s no way this is real,” Sara said, shaking her head in disbelief.
“Okay, not to sound skeptical or anything, but why are you guys doing this? Seriously,” MsChif asked.
“What do you mean?” Matt Striker asked.
“Oh, please, Striker,” MsChif sighed. “You were an Indy guy once. Doesn’t this all sound a little too good to be true to you?”
“Yeah,” Kong said. “I mean, suffice to say, you guys do sound a bit crazy, here. Why you being so nice to us?”
“Well…” Striker paused, looking to Stephanie for help.
“You might as well tell them, Matt,” Stephanie suggested. Looking to the women, she said, “We’re kind of desperate for talent. See, with Beth Phoenix out hurt, we’re in need of…”
“You need women who can actually wrestle to make the Barbie Girls look good,” Sara Del Rey concluded.
“Yeah,” Stephanie admitted. “Pretty much.”
“So why not just dump the models and hire all of us? I mean, if they’re all dead weight anyway…” Del Rey said as Cheerleader Melissa elbowed Sara in the ribs.
“Sara, this isn’t the time…” Cheerleader Melissa said, trying to get Del Rey to calm down.
“What do you mean…?” Sara began as Matt Striker picked his speech back up.
“Anyway, now that you know what’s at stake, we can move on to our next piece of business,” Matt continued. “Now, I do understand that some of you were brought here as teams, namely, the Canadian Ninjas and the International Home-Wrecking Crew, but in the WWE, there’s no Divas’ tag team division to speak of. Not only that, but only one of you will actually win this competition and receive the guaranteed contract. Therefore, tonight, 3 more of you will be going home. As for who those three will be, well, that’s going to be up to you. Nicole Matthews, Portia Perez – you two will have to decide, amongst yourselves, which one of you will remain here on NXT. Jetta, Rain, and Lacey, the same goes for you. You have until showtime tonight to decide which member of your respective teams will remain here on NXT, and which ones will be going home here tonight. Now, do keep in mind that if your teammate does eventually win the NXT competition, they will be in a far better position to rally us here in the WWE to bring you on as well, so you’re going to want to pick the one who has the best chance of winning this competition if you want to improve your chances of making it to WWE as well.”
“What if we can’t decide which one of us should stay?” Nicole Matthews asked.
“If, for whatever reason, you’re unable to agree on which one of you should remain on NXT, we will have no choice but to eliminate both of you from the competition,” Matt Striker answered. “Now, are there any other questions?”
The room fell into silence.
“All right, then,” Striker concluded. “Go ahead and head down to your locker room, and we’ll come get you when we’re ready.” As Matt and Stephanie dismissed the group, the Canadian Ninjas and the International Home-Wrecking Crew were obviously upset with the recent news.
“This is bullsh*t!” Lacey shouted. “They bring us all here as teams, then make us eliminate our own teammates? What the f*ck?”
“Well, they only want one of us,” Nicole Matthews sighed.
“So?” Lacey continued. “WWE knew damn well what they were bringing in when they asked for the International Home-wrecking crew, and now, not even a week in to this… this… insanity… they’re making us eliminate ourselves?”
“Well, it is their contest, girls,” Cheerleader Melissa piped in. “It’s their rules.”
“You are not seriously trying to defend this,” Sara Del Rey said to Melissa.
“Why not? It’s not like it affects us, either way, Sara,” Melissa reasoned. “Besides, it’s three less women we have to compete with later.”
“Excuse me!” Lacey injected. “I believe I was the one complaining, here! And God knows I don’t need Sara Del Rey’s help making my point, although, for the record… ”
“For the record,” Sara interrupted, “I don’t care how many of you I have to smash my way through to get that contract. I just don’t think it’s fair of WWE to screw with us like this.”
“Well, Sara, you could always quit,” Cheerleader Melissa reminded her.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you?” Sara said, getting up in Melissa’s face. “One less woman to compete with later?”
Daizee Haze, sensing violence afoot, pushed herself between Sara and Melissa, and said, “Hey! Guys! Let’s just roll the aggression back a tad, all right?”
“You’re right, Daizee,” Melissa conceded. “We should be focusing our energy on the competition, not each other.”
Kong, also sensing the building tension, pulled Sara off to the side and said to her, “Come on. Let’s go get ready. You and Melissa’ll get a chance to blow this off soon enough…”
As the others walked off, Nicole Matthews stayed back for a moment. Portia Perez, noticing her teammate wasn’t coming along, turned back to talk with her teammate.
“What’s wrong, Nicole?” Portia asked.
“I… I’m just thinking, that’s all,” Nicole said, sounding a bit distant.
“About what Striker said?” Portia continued.
“Yeah,” Nicole admitted. “I’m thinking… maybe you should stay.”
“WHAT?!” Portia said, dropping her bag. “You’re just going to quit? We’re not even going to talk about this?”
“What’s to talk about?” Nicole said. “I mean, sure, I’ve had some good matches here and there, but… look at me. I don’t look like a diva.”
“And you think that I do?” Portia replied. “People still think I’m just a kid, Nicole!”
“Yeah, and that’s really marketable,” Nicole admitted. “And God knows you get more bookings than I do. I mean, this is WWE. ‘Sports Entertainment’. They’re not looking for a good hand, they’re looking for someone to put on a T-shirt! Stephanie McMahon can say all she wants about wanting one of us to fill the void now that Beth Phoenix is out hurt, but we know what they really want – someone they can sell. And me? I’m just… this.”
“Nicole!” Portia said, sternly. “You’re going to walk away from the opportunity of a lifetime because you’re having body issues? Seriously? I mean, it’s one thing if you’re telling me you should leave because you think I’m the better wrestler, or, because you’re hurt and you haven’t said anything yet because you didn’t want to lose a shot at the WWE, but don’t stand here and tell me you’re actually thinking of quitting NXT because your boobs aren’t big enough or something!”
“Portia,” Nicole said, trying to calm her friend down.
“No, I’m not done yet,” Portia shouted. “You don’t get to walk out on me until I’m done telling you why you’re being an idiot, all right? Just because you don’t think you’re as pretty as some other girls, you don’t think you belong here? That’s bullsh*t, Nicole, and you know it!”
“You also know that I’m right,” Nicole said, sadly. Portia then slapped Nicole.
“What the hell…?” Nicole reacted.
“Do I need to hit you harder, or are you going to keep on with this nonsense?” Portia asked.
Nicole paused for a moment, then said, “You and I both know that you have a better chance of winning NXT than I do.”
“So that’s it? Your mind’s made up?” Portia said.
“I don’t know… I don’t want to go,” Nicole said. “I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this to come along ever since I got into wrestling, but they only want one of us, Portia. If I’m ever going to have a real shot here in the WWE, then it should be because I’m a good wrestler, not because I won some stupid contest! And yeah, I am having some body issues at the moment. Have you seen Kelly Kelly? Don’t tell me you can look at her and not be at least a little jealous! But this is a competition, one that requires a strategy. If we want to win this thing, we have to take in all the factors involved, not just the ones we like. Truth is, I don’t have the ‘look’ WWE goes for. Honestly, neither do you, but, like you said earlier, you look like a kid. That sort of thing stands out, and if we really want to win this thing, we need to stand out, and…”
“Nicole?” Portia said as Nicole seemed to trail off at the end of her sentence. Realizing that Nicole Matthews couldn’t find it in herself to say the words they both were thinking in that moment, Portia then said, “You sure this is what you want to do?”
“You want to win this thing, right?” Nicole asked.
Meanwhile, just outside of the NXT ‘locker room’, the International Home-Wrecking Crew were gathered, discussing their predicament, as well.
“So, what do we do?” Jetta asked. “We got to pick someone to stay, so…?”
“Says who?” Lacey asked, angry about the situation.
“Says WWE,” Rain answered. “If we don’t, they’re just going to toss all of us!”
“So what?” Lacey asked. “You’re not seriously considering staying, are you?”
“Are you kidding? It’s a guaranteed contract on the line! Not to mention $25,000 and a guaranteed spot on the WrestleMania card! You know how many people would KILL for that?”
“So you’re telling me that you’d put a job and money over our friendship?” Lacey asked.
Rain paused for a moment, then replied, “No… of course not!”
“Then what’s the problem? WWE doesn’t want us? Fine! We don’t need them, anyway! The International Home-Wrecking Crew is doing just fine without them, right Jetta?”
Jetta paused for a moment.
“Jetta?” Lacey asked, furious.
“It is a guaranteed contract,” Jetta replied, sheepishly. “Even you have to admit, this isn’t something you just walk away from.”
“Look,” Lacey said, demanding the attention of her fellow Home-Wreckers, “I’ve been in this business longer than the both of you, and, let me tell you, this ‘deal’ they’re offering us isn’t as good as it sounds, believe me! For one, this $25,000 signing bonus they’re offering? That’s nothing more than WWE painting a target on your back! You remember that Quarter-Million Dollar Diva Search thing?”
“Yeah… Christy Hemme won that, right?” Rain said.
“She sure did,” Lacey continued. “And what did she get for that lovely payday? Nothing but a hassle from just about everyone in the locker room, because she made more money than they did. You realize that none of these girls here make more than 5 figures a year, right?”
“Yeah, so?” Rain asked. “That’s about what I got in TNA.”
“Yeah, and how would have felt if some nobody waltzed in out of nowhere, making twice what you did?” Lacey asked.
“Oh,” Rain sighed, knowing she’d have been pissed.
“Exactly,” Lacey said. “And, keep in mind, most of these girls have never worked outside of WWE. They don’t have the slightest clue how this business really works, and aren’t going to give much of a sh*t where you’ve worked before, or just how much experience you have, because they’re the WWE Divas, and you’re just a nobody from the minor leagues, getting paid more than they do!”
“Didn’t think of it like that,” Jetta sighed.
“Now, are we going to stand together, tell this dumbass company to stick it for trying to divide us, or are we going to sit here like three little bitches, and fight over a stupid contract?” Lacey asked her fellow Home-Wreckers.
“Well, they are paying us just for being here,” Rain sighed. “That’s more than TNA would have done.”
“And you still have that spot in AAA,” Lacey reminded her. “You make good money there, don’t you?”
“I guess,” Rain conceded.
“So, it’s settled,” Lacey announced. “Tonight, we walk out of NXT together, as a team, and we do it with style!”
Just as the Home-Wreckers were about to go into the NXT locker room, a member of WWE’s production team came by and handed Rain a sheet of paper.
“What’s this?” Rain asked.
“That’s the schedule for tonight,” she said to Rain. “All of your matches are listed.”
“Oh,” Rain said, looking over the sheet. “Thank you.” As the production assistant walked off, Rain went into the NXT locker room and announced, “They sent us tonight’s schedule!”
“Sweet!” MsChif said, swiping the itinerary from Rain’s hand. “Ah, crap! I’m not booked!”
“Lemme see,” Kellie Skater said, taking the itinerary from MsChif. Looking it over, she smiled, then looked up at Sara Del Rey and said, “Looks like you’re up against the Rate Tank, tonight, Death Rey!”
“Really?” Del Rey said, taking the list from Skater. “They’re actually going to let us wrestle on this show?” Once Sara looks over the list, she says, “Well, I’ll be damned.”
“Why are you so shocked?” Melissa asked, looking over Sara’s shoulder, reading the schedule. “They said they were looking for wrestlers, after all. Why wouldn’t they have us actually wrestle?”
“You don’t remember the Diva Searches, do you?” Sara asked, pulling away from Melissa.
“This isn’t the Diva Search, Sara,” Melissa responded. “This is NXT.”
“What’s the difference?” Sara replied.
“Besides the fact that we’re on it?” Daizee Haze chimed in. “A lot.”
Amazing Kong walks over to Sara and asks, “Can I see that?”
“Sure,” Sara says, handing Kong the sheet. “You’ve got Jetta tonight.”
“WHAT?!” Jetta screamed, shocked by the news.
“Oh, this is going to be fun,” Kong smiled.
Jetta, in a panic, commiserates with her fellow Home-Wreckers as the Canadian Ninjas walk into the locker room.
“We just got tonight’s schedule,” Melissa informed the Ninjas.
“We wrestling?” Portia asked.
“Nope,” Melissa answered.
“Thanks,” Nicole said, disappointed as she walked off.
Portia, following after her obviously distressed partner, asked Nicole, “What’s wrong?”
Nicole, turning around, frustrated, could barely hold back her emotion, “I just wanted one match, you know?”
Lacey, overhearing this conversation, suddenly interjected herself between the Ninjas and asked Nicole, “You want a match tonight?”
At that moment, there was a knock at the door. It was another WWE Production Assistant, saying, “10 minutes to showtime, ladies!”
10 minutes later, Matt Striker comes and gathers the NXT Rookies, leading them to the NXT Interview Set down the hall. After each of the women are put in place, Matt Striker is handed a microphone and takes his place in front of the camera. The Red Light comes on, and the show begins.
“Welcome to Week 2 of WWE Divas: NXT!” Striker announced to the viewing audience. “Tonight, three more of our rookies will be sent home! Who will they be? Stay tuned to find out!”
The Red Light goes off, and Striker hands the mic off to a production assistant, then turns to the NXT Rookies and says, “All right, we need Del Rey and Kellie Skater at Gorilla, and the rest of you can watch the show over there if you’d like,” he said, pointing to a monitor and a set of chairs sitting nearby. Sara Del Rey and Kellie Skater are then led by a production assistant to the Gorilla Position as the other NXT Rookies gather around the monitor.
Meanwhile, out in the Mohegan Sun Arena, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews are behind the commentary booth, calling the action as thousands of WWE fans in the audience surround them.
“Hello and welcome to the second week of the Divas’ NXT competition. I’m Michael Cole, joined by Josh Matthews, and after the fiasco last week, I’m amazed this show is still going forward,” Cole began.
“In case you missed it, last week, we were introduced to the NXT Rookies, but, unfortunately, there were a few mixups,” Matthews continued. “Due to a miscommunication on WWE’s part, SHIMMER co-founder Alison Danger was brought into the competition by mistake, and the ensuing fallout made for what may have been one of the more violent encounters in WWE Divas’ History.”
“Portia Perez, one half of the Canadian Ninjas, started a brawl with Danger, which then became a Falls Count Anywhere match, which Portia won thanks to some help from her tag team partner, Nicole Matthews,” Cole explained.
“Afterwards,” Josh added, “Portia called out our own WWE Divas, claiming that the Canadian Ninjas would run roughshod over the WWE.”
“Natalya answered that challenge,” Cole finished, “but was taken out by the Canadian Ninjas as our show came to a close last week.”
“This week, though, one of the Canadian Ninjas faces elimination, as Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews will have until the end of the night to choose which member of their team will remain here on NXT!” Josh said.
“And NXT gets underway with our NXT Rookies in action,” Cole said as Kellie Skater makes her way to the ring.
“The Rate Tank, Kellie Skater, hailing from the ‘Awesomest Place Ever’ – Bacchus Marsh, Australia – believes that she is invincible, Cole, but that claim will be put to the test tonight as she faces off against the Death Rey, Sara Del Rey!” Josh Matthews exclaimed.
As Sara Del Rey makes her way out to the ring, Michael Cole continues, “Sara Del Rey, believed by many to be the best women’s wrestler in the world today, seems to have a chip on her shoulder about working with our WWE Divas.”
“Del Rey has said many times over the years that she’s sick of girls in wrestling only wanting to be pretty, and that she wants to see the sport represented by athletes who aren’t afraid to get mean and violent in the ring,” Matthews explains.
“I don’t know if she’ll make many friends in the locker room with an attitude like that,” Michael Cole added, “but if she’s as good as people say she is, she will definitely be a force to be reckoned with here on NXT!”

Sara Del Rey vs. “The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater
Josh Matthews: And our match begins with Skater, walking up to Del Rey, talking smack.
Michael Cole: Del Rey, not looking too happy to be here.
Josh Matthews: That’s just Sara’s intensity, Cole. Any time you see Sara Del Rey in the ring, she is completely focused on her opponent, looking to smash whoever is put in front of her on a given night.
Michael Cole: Kellie Skater now, trying to provoke Del Rey.
Josh Matthews: That may not be a good idea, as…
Michael Cole: Sara Del Rey with a huge slap across Skater’s face.
Josh Matthews: Del Rey, telling the Rate Tank to bring it on.
Michael Cole: Why is she called the ‘Rate Tank’, anyway?
Josh Matthews: She’s a tank, Cole. Or, at least, she thinks she is.
Michael Cole: And Skater now rushing at Del Rey with a series of forearms. Skater whips Del Rey into the ropes now, misses with the clothesline, and… what’s this?
Josh Matthews: That’s called a Capo Kick, Cole!
Michael Cole: A devastating rolling kick by Sara Del Rey, knocking
Skater completely out. This could be it, here!
Josh Matthews: Del Rey, picking Skater up, now…
Michael Cole: Looks like she’s going for a powerbomb…
Josh Matthews: Not quite, Cole. Sara Del Rey, now, nailing the Rate Tank with the Spike Piledriver, and the cover… 1… 2… 3! That’s it! It’s over!
Winner: Sara Del Rey
Michael Cole: Wow, that was quick.
Josh Matthews: Sara Del Rey, making quite the impression with her debut match here on NXT!
Meanwhile, in the back, the NXT Rookies react to Del Rey’s impressive win.
“Damn,” Kong said. “Skater got owned out there!”
“It’s Death Rey,” Melissa said. “What did you expect?”
“Well, that’s okay, because, when Jetta’s done with you, Kong…” Lacey announced.
Jetta, jumpy as all hell, grabbed Lacey’s arm and said to her, “What do you think you’re doing? You want her to kill me?”
“Relax, Jetta,” Lacey said. “We’ve got your back, right, Rain?”
Rain, seemingly off in her own world at the moment, replied, “Yeah… sure. We got you, Jets.”
“Besides, it’s not like we’re going to be here much longer, anyway,” Lacey said.
“Yeah…” Jetta paused, letting the thought rest in her mind a second. “Right.”
Matt Striker then walks over to the NXT Rookies and says to them, “All right. Home-Wreckers, Kong, we need you at Gorilla. After that, Ninjas, we’re going to do your elimination first. You two ready?”
Portia and Nicole looked at each other for a moment, then back at Striker, and said, “Yeah. We’re ready.”
“Good,” Striker said as a production assistant came to lead Kong and the Home-Wreckers to the Gorilla Position.
After the commercial break, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews welcome the viewers back to NXT.
“Welcome back to NXT! Before the break, we saw Sara Del Rey making her NXT Debut, dominating ‘The Rate Tank’ Kellie Skater,” Cole said.
“Sara Del Rey with a big win here on NXT. And speaking of ‘dominating’, here comes what many are saying is the single most dominant force in all of wrestling today, the Amazing Kong,” Josh announced as Kong makes her way to the ring.
“Amazing Kong has spent the past decade in the minors, dominating women half her size with her brutal attacks,” Cole added. “Clearly, she’s considered the favorite going in to this season of NXT, but one has to wonder, though, if Kong actually has what it takes to be a WWE Diva.”
“What do you mean, Cole?” Josh asked. “She’s clearly got the size and power advantage over just about everyone else in this competition, including Sara Del Rey!”
“You know what I mean, Josh,” Cole said. “We’re looking for the next WWE Diva, not the next contestant on ‘The Biggest Loser’!”
“Jesus Christ, Cole,” Josh lamented, “you were doing so well during the Del Rey match, too.”
“Hey!” Cole shouted. “At least Del Rey looks like she could be a Diva! This Kong has got to be at least 300 pounds!”
“HEY!!!” Kong said, overhearing Cole on commentary. “You got a problem with me, little man?”
“What are you going to do? Punch me out like you did Bubba The Love Sponge?” Cole said, standing up to the massive Kong. Security quickly rushes to assure that this argument won’t turn violent.
“God damn it, Cole,” Josh sighed. “Will you just sit down and call the damn match already?”
As all of this was going on, the International Home-Wrecking Crew made their way out to the ring. Lacey then demands a mic from the ring announcer as Security convinces Kong to get in the ring. Obvious in her absence was Jetta, Kong’s opponent here tonight.
“Ladies and Gentlemen,” Lacey said to the crowd here in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. “Or, should I just say, wankers, losers and skanks… I, the Lovely Lacey, along with the Radiant Rain, regret to inform you that, due to an unforeseen back injury suffered earlier today, Jetta will unfortunately not be able to compete here tonight!”
“WHAT?!” Kong screamed. “She was just fine a few minutes ago!”
“Unforeseen injury?” Josh Matthews exclaimed. “Since when is Jetta injured?”
“Oh, look who’s being subjective, now!” Cole taunted his broadcast partner.
“The International Home-Wrecking Crew, also on the chopping block, tonight, obviously looking for any excuse not to wrestle Kong tonight,” Josh said.
“But,” Lacey continued, “we have managed to get a replacement.”
“What’s this?” Michael Cole said as Nicole Matthews makes her way down to the ring, accompanied by her fellow Canadian Ninja, Portia Perez.
“The Canadian Ninjas are here, Cole, and from it looks like, Nicole Matthews will be taking on the Amazing Kong here tonight!” Josh said.
-
Nicole Matthews vs. The Amazing Kong
Michael Cole: And Matthews, wasting no time, attacks Kong as the Home-Wreckers make their way out of the ring.
Josh Matthews: For those who missed it last week, the girl with Nicole Matthews is her tag team partner, Portia Perez, who last week, here on NXT, defeated Alison Danger in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Michael Cole: Matthews now, attempting a suplex on Kong, but Kong is just too big for her.
Josh Matthews: Nicole Matthews, a master of the suplex, as well as a devastating clothesline, earning the nickname, ‘The Lariat’ in her native Canada.
Michael Cole: Kong now reversing the suplex, slamming Matthews down to the mat!
Josh Matthews: Portia Perez now, jumping up to the apron, trying to distract Kong, and Matthews now setting up for the Lariat
Michael Cole: You think Nicole Matthews has the power to take down someone as big as Kong with a lariat?
Josh Matthews: Kong takes a swing at Perez now, but Perez ducks, grabbing Kong’s arm as she misses with the spinning back-fist. Perez now, dropping to the floor, jacking Kong’s arm across the top rope.
Michael Cole: Kong turns around, and Nicole Matthews with a huge lariat, actually taking Kong off of her feet now, and going for the cover… 1… 2… and Kong kicks out!
Josh Matthews: Matthews now taking advantage of the damage Portia did earlier, now working over Kong’s arm.
Michael Cole: That’s actually pretty smart of Matthews. You manage to take out the monster’s arm, she’s not as likely to hit you with that spinning back-fist thingy you mentioned earlier, Josh.
Josh Matthews: Spinning back-fist thingy?
Michael Cole: Matthews with a series of knees to the arm, and now into the armbar, going for the submission. Kong, reaching for the ropes, looking for the break.
Josh Matthews: Nicole Matthews, having the right idea, trying to wear down Kong’s arm, but she was just too close to the ropes and the referee now forcing her to break the hold.
Michael Cole: Matthews now, arguing with the referee as Portia Perez, once again up on the apron. And what’s this? Perez, with a chain wrapped around her hand, takes a swing and nails Kong with a punch to the face.
Josh Matthews: Kong now dazed after that shot with the chain. Nicole now, taking advantage, looking for that rolling cutter she calls the Last Rites.
Michael Cole: Christopher Daniels’ old finisher?
Josh Matthews: Yes, Cole, in fact, it is. Matthews now, with the rolling cutter, but Kong is able to roll through it, nailing Matthews with that devastating back fist!
Michael Cole: How the hell can you say SHE calls it that when clearly she’s just using the name Daniels gave it?
Josh Matthews: Just shut up and call the match, Cole!
Michael Cole: Kong now picking Matthews up, and slamming her to the math with a huge powerbomb!
Josh Matthews: Kong with the Amazing Bomb, and the referee goes for the count… 1… 2… 3!!! That’s it! Kong is victorious here on NXT!
Winner: The Amazing Kong
Michael Cole: Kong with the amazing win here over Nicole Matthews, but Portia Perez now in the ring, attacking Kong from behind, and, what’s this?
Josh Matthews: It’s Natalya of the Hart Dynasty, making her way down to the ring. Natalya, perhaps looking for revenge on the Canadian Ninjas after attacking her last week on NXT!
Michael Cole: Portia Perez, grabbing Nicole Matthews, and making their way out of the ring as Natalya makes the save here for Amazing Kong.
Josh Matthews: Kong and Natalya, as some of you may not know, actually go back many years, having faced each other a number of times in Japan, building a mutual respect for one another.
Michael Cole: Natalya now, asking for a mic as the Canadian Ninjas make their way to the back.
“Hey!” Natalya shouted to the Ninjas. As they turn back, Natalya continues, “You two want to go around, attacking people from behind, trying to make a name for yourselves at other people’s expense? Well, that junk may work in the Indies, but here, in the WWE, if you have a problem with someone, you take care of it, face to face, in this very ring! Now, I know one of you will be going home tonight, but I’m letting you know, right now, whichever one of you is left after tonight’s elimination, next week, your ass belongs to me! That’s right! Portia Perez, Nicole Matthews… whichever one of you is still here on NXT next week will be facing off with ME!”
“Whoa!” Cole shouts. “Next week, we’ll be seeing either Portia Perez or Nicole Matthews face off against Natalya, next week on NXT!”
“We’re now getting word that Matt Striker is in the back with Jetta, who was supposed to be Kong’s opponent tonight,” Josh Matthews informs the viewing audience. “Matt, what you got for us?”
In the NXT interview area, Matt Striker is with Jetta, who is hunched over, holding an ice pack on her back, and looking to be in some pain. Alongside her are her fellow Home-Wreckers, Lacey and Rain.
“Well Josh,” Matt began, “I’m here with Jetta, who, unfortunately, was unable to compete tonight due to a nagging back injury.”
Jetta grabs the mic for a moment and says, “Oh, yes, Matt. Me back is just in agony. It’s just a shame, too, because I really wanted to go out there and give Kong one four, you know?” Jetta then relinquished the mic and went back to her obviously exaggerated back pain.
“Well, I’m sorry to hear that, Jetta, because, as you know, both the International Home-Wrecking Crew and the Canadian Ninjas face elimination tonight,” Matt Striker said. “And, since only one member of your team can remain here on NXT, and you’re obviously injured, we have no choice but to eliminate you from this competiton. I’m sorry Jetta.”
“WHAT?!” Jetta screamed, making a miraculous recovery from her alleged back pain.
“Well, you said yourself, you’re suffering from a nagging back injury, so, in the interest of fairness…” Striker said, invoking the infamous McMahon line and drawing a few boos from the crowd.
Lacey, seeing an opportunity to make her case, then steps into the camera shot and takes the mic from Striker, saying, “Fairness? You want to talk about being fair? Then maybe you can explain to the WWE Universe why you dragged us all on to NXT in the first place, lying to us, telling us that you wanted to sign us all to contracts, just to make us jump through these humiliating hoops on National TV like a bunch of trained chimps! And now, with this little ultimatum of yours, trying to force us to choose which of us stays and which ones go, you know what I have to say to that? You can forget it. We, the International Home-Wrecking Crew, are a unit. All for one, and one for all! You want to break us up? Not going to happen. You know why? Because we QUIT… right Rain?”
Rain, being put on the spot, looked around nervously, not sure what to say.
“Rain?” Lacey asked, wondering where her partner’s support was.
“I…” Rain stammered. “I don’t want to go. I want to stay. I want to be a WWE Diva.”
Matt Striker, taking the initiative, takes the microphone back from Lacey and says, “Lacey and Jetta have been eliminated. Rain, you will go on to compete here on NXT for a chance to become…”
Lacey, absolutely irate, takes back the mic and says to Rain, “You backstabbing c*nt!”
“Lacey, I’m sorry, but this is a chance of a lifetime, and I…” Rain said, apologetically. Lacey responds by slapping her.
“You listen to me, Rain” Lacey said. “I made you in this business, and by God, I’ll break you! You understand me?” As she says this, Security is brought in to escort Lacey and Jetta out of the building, and out of NXT. “This isn’t over, Rain! Believe me! One day, you’ll be back out on the Indies, and, believe me, you’ll pay for this, Rain! I swear to God and all that’s Holy, I’ll make you pay!”
“Well, if she doesn’t sound like a comic book villain,” Rain scoffed as Lacey was dragged from the building. Turning her attention to Matt Striker, Rain says, “By the way, Matt, thanks.” Rain then lightly licks Striker on the cheek seductively before walking off-camera.
Meanwhile, the voice of Todd Grisham can be heard off-camera, saying, “Matt, you lucky bastard!”
Matt, trying to maintain his professionalism, simply says to Todd, “Not now, we’re still on the air.” Suddenly, the Canadian Ninjas make their way into the camera shot, where Matt stops them, saying, “Canadian Ninjas, your moment of truth has arrived! Tonight, one of you will be going home, and, hopefully, after the fiasco we just saw with the Home-Wreckers…”
Portia Perez takes the mic from Striker and addresses the viewers directly, “Yes, Matt, we have made our choice, and Natalya, I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into, because, next week, in that very ring, you’re going one on one with the Canadian Ninja, Portia frickin’ Perez!” Portia then hands Striker the mic, leaving him with Nicole Matthews.
“Well, Nicole, it’s been made official,” Striker said to her, “you’ve been eliminated from this competition. Do you have any last words for the WWE Universe before you go?” Striker hands her the mic, and the emotion of the moment overwhelms her.
“Actually, Matt, I do,” Nicole said, quietly. At first, she looks saddened, but, then, an angry look comes across her face, as if something evil had possessed her. She backs away from the camera a bit, allowing her whole figure into view. “I want you to take a good, hard look, people,” She continues, twirling around for the camera. “You know what this is? This… this is the body of a real, honest to God woman. No fake breasts, no hair and makeup teams, no calf implants or butt implants, just 100% pure woman.” Nicole then steps back up to the camera, looking ready to kill, and continues, “Today, a good friend of mine had to slap some sense into me, because, here I was, on the verge of my dream, and I was about to throw it all away because, silly me… I looked in a mirror, and I let what all of you people at home, and all of you hypocrites in the media, and especially here in the WWE, tell me, ME, that I wasn’t good enough. That I wasn’t pretty enough. That my boobs weren’t big enough, my ass wasn’t tight enough, my hair wasn’t shiny enough, that I don’t go tanning enough, that my teeth are crooked, that I don’t have the right ‘look’ to make it here in WWE. I wasn’t thinking about whether or not I was a good enough competitor to succeed here in WWE, or whether I had what it takes to win NXT or not… I looked in a mirror, and let you people tell me that I’m ugly, and I absolutely f*cking hate you all for that.”
“Um… Nicole, we’re on live TV,” Matt said, nervously, as Nicole dropped the f-bomb over this live broadcast.
“Shut up, Striker!” Matthews screamed, putting the fear of God into Striker at that moment. “I just want all of you people to know, out there, what you’re doing to your daughters, to your girlfriends, your wives, and your mothers, by glorifying some impossible standard of beauty that none of us can actually achieve without risking our lives and our health just to reach it! You have any idea how hard I’ve worked to become the wrestler I am today? And, here I am, being told that I have to decide whether my partner or I could stay here on NXT, and finding myself actually telling Portia that she should stay, not because I thought she was a better wrestler, but because I didn’t feel pretty enough to be a WWE Diva. And yeah, I really hate you people for that, but more than that, I hate myself for that, because I let myself doubt myself, my own self worth, based on your pathetic standards. So, you know what’s going to happen now? Portia Perez is going to stay on NXT, not because I don’t think I’m pretty enough, but because I’m smart enough to know how these games work. And Portia, she’s going to win this whole damn thing, and when she does, I’ll be back. And when I do, I’m bringing hell with me. You know that line about the woman scorned, Matt?”
“Well, yes,” Striker answered. “Yes, I do, but…” Matt suddenly felt a sharp pain in his groin, then realized that Nicole Matthews had just kneed him in the balls. As he crumpled in pain, Nicole Matthews looked into the camera and said, with a smile, “Me, too. Be seeing you.”
Nicole Matthews then walks off, leaving NXT behind as the camera fades on Matt Striker, curled up on the floor in pain, a reminder of the coming vengeance in her wake should Nicole Matthews ever grace a WWE ring again.
