By Mike Johns Jun 24, 2010 - 11:40 AM

The Insanity Universe is not our Universe.  It exists in the head of Mike Johns.  Who lives there?  Every wrestler you've ever known....

It is now Week 3 of the Divas’ NXT competition. After the elimination of Jetta, Lacey, and Nicole Matthews last week, only 8 rookies remain – Cheerleader Melissa, Daizee Haze, Amazing Kong, Sara Del Rey, MsChif, Portia Perez, Rain, and “The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater. As the NXT Rookies arrive at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, they are once again greeted by WWE’s Executive Vice President of Creative Development and Operations, Stephanie McMahon, and NXT Host, Matt Striker.

“Hello and welcome to the third week of the NXT competition,” McMahon said to the potential divas. “Now, as an update, I’d like to inform each of you that, should you win this NXT competition, you will then be awarded a guaranteed 1 year contract to WWE’s SmackDown brand.”

“Wait,” Sara Del Rey said. “Didn’t you tell us last week that we’d be able to pick which brand we could compete on?”

“Actually, um… Who is she?” Stephanie said, looking to Matt Striker.

“Sara Del Rey,” Matt said.

“Actually, Sara,” McMahon continued, “last week, I merely said that you would be awarded a contract to either the RAW or SmackDown brands, and, after looking over our roster, and learning just how long Beth Phoenix will actually be out for, we’ve determined that your services, should you win NXT, would be best utilized on SmackDown.”

“So, say, if I win NXT, and I decide that I want my title shot against Eve for the Divas’ Title, and I win, does that mean that I get to take the Divas’ title over to SmackDown with me, or do I have to stay on RAW?” MsChif asked.

“Um…” Stephanie paused, clearly forgetting that the NXT winner had the option to face either RAW’s Divas’ Champion or SmackDown’s Women’s Champion on Pay-Per-View as part of their prize.

“Why would you want to be Divas’ Champion, anyway, Chif?” Daizee Haze asked. “I thought you hated cutesy stuff.”

“I don’t know,” MsChif replied. “I just thought it’d be cool if I was the Divas’ Champ, you know? Like that time you and I swapped ring gear for a SHIMMER photo shoot?”

“You still make a creepy me, Chif,” Daizee replied.

“I know,” MsChif replied, smiling. Meanwhile, Stephanie McMahon began scratching her head, completely confused over the quandary placed before her. Noticing this, MsChif then asks Daizee, “Is she okay?”

“I think you broke her, Chif,” Daizee replied.

“Oh, sh*t!” MsChif exclaimed. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to cause any trouble. Swear!”

“What’s her name?” Stephanie asked Matt Striker.

“MsChif,” Striker replied.

“MsChif, right,” Stephanie said, turning her attention to the former SHIMMER Champion, “Can we get back to you on that?”

“Sure,” MsChif replied. “Take your time.”

“All right, then,” Stephanie said. “Now that we’ve cleared that up, I’m going to hand the floor over to Matt Striker, who is going to talk about the next phase of our competition. Matt?”

“All right, ladies,” Matt began. “Now, as you know, as part of the NXT competition, we pair up 8 NXT Rookies with 8 WWE Pros…”

“They’re actually calling those Barbie-dolls ‘pros’?” Sara Del Rey seethed.

“It’s just a label, Sara,” Cheerleader Melissa said. “So the fans at home…”

“So the fans at home can think we’re a bunch of ham ‘n’ eggers. Yeah, I get it. Build up the Barbies and dump on the real talent,” Sara ranted.

“Jesus Christ, Sara!” Melissa snapped. “Not everything this company does is meant to make you look bad, all right?”

“Now, your WWE Pros have all been chosen at random, and, for the remainder of this competition, it will be these 8 WWE pros who will determine your fate here on NXT. In three weeks’ time, we will have our first Pro’s Poll, where our pros will rank you according to three specific criteria, which we in the WWE like to refer to as the 3 S’s of Divadom – Smart, Strong, and Sexy.”

“Sexy, eh?” Kellie Skater quipped to the Amazing Kong, “That pretty much counts you out, doesn’t it?”

Kong responds by punching Skater in the gut, felling the supposedly invincible Skater with one blow.

“So, with no further ado, I’d like to introduce you to your WWE Pros!” Striker announced as 8 WWE Divas entered the room. Among them, Eve Torres, the current Divas’ Champion, as well as Women’s ‘co-champions’, Layla and Michelle McCool. Also with them, Maryse, Gail Kim, Jillian Hall, Serena, and, of course, Natalya, who had fallen victim to an attack by the Canadian Ninjas, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews, 2 weeks earlier.

“Sara Del Rey, meet your pro, the French-Canadian Beauty, Maryse!” Striker said as Maryse walked up to an obviously angry Del Rey.

“Well,” Maryse began, “Looks like I have my work cut out for me. But don’t you worry. If I can make these losers here in WWE look good, there’s certainly something I do for you.”

As Maryse ran her hand through Del Rey’s hair, Sara slapped her hand away and growled, “Don’t touch me!”

“Oooo,” Maryse said. “Feisty!”

“Cheerleader Melissa, your pro is our current WWE Divas’ Champion, Eve!” Striker continued.

Eve walked up to Melissa and extended her hand, “It’s an honor to meet you.”

Melissa shakes Eve’s hand and replies, “Really?”

“Yeah, I mean, you’re, like, a legend in women’s wrestling,” Eve said. “I’m really glad I have an opportunity to work with someone as experienced as you.”

Melissa, seemingly skeptical of Eve’s intentions, replies, “Thank you.”

“Rain, your pro is the current reigning Women’s Champion on SmackDown, Layla,” Striker said.

Layla rushes up to Rain, excited, and says, “Hi! I’m Layla, and, I just have to say…” Layla looks over Rain and says, “Damn. You fine, girl!”

Rain, feigning humility, replies, “I know. I can’t help it. I’m just radiant.”

“I know, right?” Layla agrees. “I don’t even know why they bothered with these other hags, you know?”

“Amazing Kong,” Striker said, “meet your pro, Michelle McCool!”

Michelle McCool approaches Kong, looking rather happy about her pick, “Now there’s my champion! How are you doing today? Good? Me too! Now, I know that you’re used to beating up girls all around the world, and that’s great, really it is, but if you want to make it here in WWE, believe me, you’re going to want to stick with me, because with my brain, and your brawn, believe me, you’re going to win this competition, hands down! First thing, though, we need to get your ass on a treadmill, girl, stat! I know this big bad momma thing’s your shtick, but if you want to compete at the WWE level, we need to work on your speed, your quickness, and the only way you’re going to improve that is by dropping some of that weight!”

Kong, annoyed with the ‘flawless’ diva, simply said, “You know who you remind me of? Angelina Love.”

“Oh, I know!” Michelle gasped. “That girl straight up stole my gimmick, I swear!”

“Right,” Kong said, rolling her eyes.

Moving down the line, Matt Striker now approaches the fallen Kellie Skater, who is just now making it back up to her feet. “Kellie Skater, meet your pro, Gail Kim!”

Gail, seeing the obviously hurt Skater, approached her rookie, saying, “Hey, you okay?”

“Me? I’m great,” Skater said, trying to hide her pain. “Never felt better. I’m a tank, you know! 100% Pure Adamantium, baby!”

Gail Kim rolled her eyes, saying, “Right.”

“MsChif,” Striker continued, “your pro is WWE’s very own Pop Diva, Jillian!”

MsChif extended her hand to Jillian Hall, but Jill just rushes up and hugs her, instead, saying, “Oh, this is going to be great! We’re going to be like sisters, I swear!”

MsChif, feeling the very life being squeezed out of her by the Tone-Deaf Diva, gasped, “I… I can’t… breathe…”

“Oh, we’re going to go shopping, and have slumber parties, and I can show you some of the new songs I’ve been working on, such as…”

Knowing what was about to happen next, MsChif’s soul filled with dread. She suddenly found herself praying for death, or, at the very least, unconsciousness, as Jillian Hall began to murder the classic Queen song, “You’re My Best Friend”.

“OOOOOH, YOU MAKE ME LAAAAAAAAAIVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”

MsChif looked over to Daizee Haze as Jillian, still holding Chif in her tight embrace, screeched in MsChif’s ear. She mouthed the words ‘HELP ME!’ to Daizee, hoping her friend would be able to do something to end the agony.

Unfortunately, Daizee’s only reaction was to laugh uncontrollably.

MsChif’s head hung in shame, unable to break Jillian’s grip as the Tone-Deaf Diva continued to destroy a classic Queen song in her typical fashion.

Soon, Matt came over to Daizee, and said to her, “Daizee Haze, meet your pro, from the Straight Edge Society, Serena!”

As soon as the words ‘Straight Edge Society’ hit Daizee’s ears, her heart sunk faster than the Titanic in Fast Forward. The once happy and bubbly Serena Deeb, someone Daizee once considered an ally, even a friend on the Indy Circuit, was now standing before her, head-shaven, a militant member of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society.

“Hello, Daizee,” Serena said with a scowl on her face. She then handed Daizee a binder and said, “You’re going to want to familiarize yourself with this.”

“What’s this?” Daizee said, taking the binder from Serena.

“That, Daizee, is the WWE Wellness Policy,” Serena explained. “You see, unlike the indies, we here in the WWE frown upon degenerative, substance-abusers, such as yourself. So, if you think, for one second, that I’m going to help you win this NXT competition, knowing your history…”

“What history?” Daizee replied.

“You know,” Serena stated. She then holds up a plastic cup, and says, “We’re going to need a sample, when you’re ready.” Daizee then reaches for the cup, trying to take it out of Serena’s hand, but Serena refuses to let go of it. “Not so fast, Daizee. If you’d read the policy carefully, you’d realize that a witness has to be present while the sample is being taken.”

“You want to watch me pee?” Daizee asked, a bit freaked out.

“Rules are rules, Daizee,” Serena smiled devilishly as the two walked off towards the nearest restroom.

“And, finally, Portia Perez, your pro is…” Matt Striker began as Natalya walked over to the Canadian Ninja.

“Me,” Natalya smiled, looking at the young Perez. “How’s that for irony?”

“You trying to scare me, Neidhart?” Portia said, defiantly. “Because it’s not working.”

“Oh, I don’t expect you to be scared, Portia,” Natalya said to the recent thorn in her side. “I expect you to be the same, annoying little brat that you’ve always been. Difference is, this ain’t SHIMMER. Alison Danger isn’t the one giving you your spankings anymore. I am! And believe me, I hit a hell of a lot harder than she does!”

“The only person here who’s getting spanked tonight is you, Nattie, when I beat you, 1, 2, 3, in front of the entire WWE Universe!” Portia replied, reminding Natalya of the match she challenged Portia to last week on NXT.

“You keep telling yourself that, little girl,” Natalya smiled. “You just keep telling yourself that.”

“All right, ladies, now that you’ve met your pros, I’m going to need you all to go and get ready for tonight’s competition,” Striker announced. “Just follow your pros to the locker room, and we’ll come and get you when we’re ready for you.”

As the divas and their rookies are dismissed, Eve Torres walks up to Sara Del Rey, extending her hand in friendship.

“I just wanted to say that it’s a privilege to finally meet you,” Eve said as Sara, skeptical of Eve’s intentions, looked over her like a beast looks over its prey.

“Whatever,” Sara said, blowing the Divas’ Champion off. As Sara begins to walk away, she steps right into Cheerleader Melissa.

“Aren’t you going to talk to her, Sara?” Melissa asked. “She came over and introduced herself, after all. The least you could do is shake the girl’s hand.”

“Screw that!” Sara said. “I’m not playing these political games with these Barbie dolls! They want to lord it over us how they made it to WWE before us, just because they answered the right casting call while we were busting our asses around the world, and you want me to just sit back and take it?”

“I think these girls deserve to be treated with some respect, Sara,” Melissa scolded. “At least with as much respect as you’d expect from them if they walked into one of our locker rooms.”

“You think these skanks deserve respect?” Del Rey replied. “For what? Wearing skimpy outfits and rolling around on the mat for 2 minutes? You do realize that one of these girls put Beth on the shelf with a torn ACL, just because the dumb bitch didn’t have the slightest clue what she was doing in a wrestling ring, right?”

“Mistakes happen,” Melissa said. “You can’t go blaming these girls for things that go wrong, just because WWE puts them in a position they’re not always ready to handle!”

“Sure I can,” Sara said. “I’ve busted my ass for 10 years, working day and night to be an athlete, not some model playing wrestler, and if these girls want my respect, they’re going to have to earn in, in the ring, at the gym, training, and busting their ass just as hard as I have!”

“Sara, don’t you think you’re being a little unreasonable? I mean, I’ve trained with you, and even I can barely keep up,” Melissa admitted.

“Not my problem you’re getting soft, now is it?” Sara asked. “You want to coddle these divas? You go right ahead. You win your little popularity contest! Just don’t come crying to me when one of these bitches ends your career by being careless!”

As Sara marches off, Melissa turns and sees that Eve had heard every word.

“Look,” Melissa said, seeing that Eve was upset. “She doesn’t…”

“It’s okay,” Eve said. “You don’t have to make excuses for her. If that’s how she feels, then, that’s how she feels.”

“Yeah, but…” Melissa said.

“But I really try, you know? Ever since I got here, I’ve been training, watching tapes… I really do want to be a good wrestler, Melissa,” Eve said. “I just wish you guys didn’t hate me so much.”

“I don’t hate you,” Melissa said.

“Sure you do,” Eve said. “You’re just too nice to say anything. But, when I came up to you, the way you looked at me when I said that I was looking forward to working with you, it was like you didn’t even believe me. Just because I came here through some contest, it doesn’t mean I don’t work my ass off to be the best I can be. And just because I haven’t been around the world and wrestled everyone and their mother just to get noticed, it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to learn.”

“I’m… sorry, Eve, I didn’t realize…” Melissa said.

“It’s okay,” Eve said. “Nattie warned me that some of you wouldn’t accept me, because I was a Diva Search girl. I just want you to know, I want to earn your respect, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes for you to accept me, even if you’re not willing to now. I really do want to get better. I want to feel like I really deserve this title, this spotlight, because, honestly, there’s so many women out there who’re better than me who’ll never get a chance to be Divas’ Champion, all because they don’t have the right look or the right personality. Like Nicole Matthews. And I don’t want to be here, holding a belt I don’t deserve, just because WWE doesn’t believe the real competition is marketable enough.”

“Okay,” Melissa said, extending her hand. “I’ve got to warn you, though, I’m not going to pull any punches. You think you can handle that?”

“If it’s going to make me a better wrestler, I’m all for it,” Eve said, shaking Melissa’s hand.

A few hours later, the Rookies of NXT, along with their WWE Pros, are summoned by Matt Striker and brought to the Gorilla Position. There, Striker tells the women that he will be introducing them one by one, and that, once introduced, they should come out on to the WWE Stage Set and line up along the LED Wall, where you usually see superstars’ logos and PPV advertisements during WWE broadcasts. After confirming that everyone understood what was expected of them, Matt Striker took a microphone from a WWE Production Team member and made his way out through the curtain. Once he is out there, the opening video for NXT began to play over the titantron.

“Welcome to NXT!” Matt Striker shouted as thousands of WWE fans in the Bridgestone Arena cheered. “Tonight, we begin the third week of our competition by introducing our Rookies, and their randomly-chosen WWE pros! First, from Martinez, California, accompanied by her WWE Pro, Maryse, I give you, the infamous Death Rey, Sara, Del Rey! Next, from Tokyo, Japan, accompanied by her pro, Michelle McCool, I give you the Amazing Kong! Next, from the ‘Awesomest Place Ever’ - Bacchus Marsh, Australia – accompanied by her pro, Gail Kim, welcome to the States, the ‘Rate Tank’ Kellie Skater! Next, from San Francisco, California, accompanied by the Divas’ Champion, Eve, welcome Cheerleader Melissa! Now, accompanied by her pro, Jillian Hall, Your Soul’s Tormentor, MsChif! Next, accompanied by Serena, from Forest Park, Illinois, Daizee Haze! And now, from St. Paul, Minnesota, accompanied by the Women’s Champion, Layla…”

Michelle McCool walks over to Striker, takes the mic, and announces, “Um, maybe you’re forgetting something, Matt, but Layla isn’t the ONLY Women’s Champion in WWE, now is she?”

“Excuse me,” Striker said, “Accompanied by Women’s CO-Champion, Layla…”

“And who’s the OTHER co-champion?” Michelle asked.

…michellemccool…” Striker muttered.

“Excuse me? I don’t think the people in the rafters heard you, Matt!” Michelle nagged.

“MICHELLE MCCOOL!” Striker shouted.

“Thank you!” Michelle smiled, making her way back over to Kong.

“Damn, girl,” Kong said to Michelle as she returned. “How’d you manage to fit that ego of yours through that curtain just now?”

“Probably the same way you just managed to fit that fat ass of yours through,” Michelle replied, snidely. “Now shut up, and let me do the thinking, all right?”

“Whatever you say,” Kong replied, “… Angelina.”

As this all happened, Rain made her way out to the stage, accompanied by Layla, as Striker attempted to finish, saying, “From St. Paul…”

Rain, taking the mic from Striker, said, “From St. Paul, Minnesota, the Minnesota Home-Wrecker herself, the one, the only, the Radiant - Rain.” Rain then hands the mic back to Matt and winks at him as she makes her way over to her place in line.

“Damn!” Layla exclaimed. “You played him like… like… a video game or something!”

“Yep,” Rain smiled. “Poor bastard.”

“And finally, from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, accompanied by her pro, Natalya, the Canadian Ninja, Portia Perez!” Striker announced as Perez and Natalya made their way on stage. As Portia passed Striker by, she grabbed the mic, walked to the end of the stage, where it meets the rampway, and addresses the live crowd in Nashville.

“I want it known, for the record, that I didn’t choose Natalya as my so-called ‘pro’, and that I honestly have N-O interest in what she has to say to me, or any of you hicks here in Nashville!” Portia said, obviously not looking to make any friends in Nashville this evening. “Come to think of it, I don’t even know why the hell Natalya even qualifies as a WWE Pro, anyway! In my first night here in WWE, me and Nicole Matthews beat Natalya’s ass, and embarrassed her in front of the entire WWE Universe, and yet, here she is, now one of the Divas who’s judging this contest. So, I want to know – Stephanie McMahon, are you rigging this? Did you get mad because, last week, Nicole Matthews came out on WWE TV and said what every woman in the world is thinking every time they see one of these painted up models come out here and shake their asses on National TV? That my partner, my best friend, had the courage to stand up and tell you, and every single one of you idiots in the WWE Universe, that you were a hypocrite? Okay… so Natalya’s my pro. Fine! After I kick her ass tonight, in front of the entire WWE Universe, she’ll be too embarrassed to even show her face in the WWE again, and you’ll have no choice but to give me a better pro, one who’s going to be fair, and judge this contest right!”

While Portia went on her tirade, Natalya managed to get a second mic from a member of the production team. As Portia finished, Natalya walked up behind her, and said, “You done with your temper tantrum, little girl? Because, see, I have every intention of judging you fairly. You see, two weeks ago, before you and your BFF attacked me, I came out here because, honestly, I wanted to give you some advice. See, believe it or not, Portia, I’m actually trying to help you, but since you have your head stuck so far up your ass it isn’t funny, it seems that the only way I’m going to knock any sense to you, whatsoever is to kick your ass, right here, tonight, in front of all these people here in Nashville!”

Portia, responding with all the maturity of a 12 year-old girl, slaps Natalya across the face as hard as she possibly can.

“You know what?” Natalya said, stepping back. “That’s the way you want it, fine. But I’m not going to hit you here, because that’s not what a mature person does. But hey, what would you know about being mature, right? So, I’m just going to wait until our match tonight, because, believe me, girl, this is the kind of asswhooping that belongs in the Main Event. You think you can handle that, Portia?”

“You’re on, Neidhart!” Portia screamed as Natalya made her way to the back. Meanwhile, Portia took her place in line with the other rookies and pros.

With that, NXT goes to commercial. Striker talks with a member of the production team as a group of men carry out what appears to be a table with handles on it, and sets it up in the middle of the ring.

“What the hell is going on here?” Sara Del Rey asks.

“Oh, that?” Maryse asked. “That’s your challenge for tonight. You’re not going to need me for that, though…”

“What do you mean, ‘challenge’?” Sara asks as the WWE Pros leave their Rookies behind and make their way to the back.

Striker, walking back over to the Rookies, then tells them, “All right. Next segment, we’re going to need you all in the ring. When we’re done with that, Portia, you and Natalya will have your match.”

“Hey, Striker,” Sara called out, “What exactly are we doing next?”

“You’ll see,” Striker said. “Now, come on, we only have 30 seconds before we go back live!” Striker and the Rookies then make their way to the ring, just as the commercial break comes to an end. As it does, cameras focus on Michael Cole and Josh Matthews at ringside.

“Hello and welcome back to NXT, and what an exciting start to tonight’s show!” Michael Cole stated.

“Portia Perez, letting her feelings known that she believes that WWE naming Natalya her pro here in the NXT competition was punishment for the comments Nicole Matthews made last week before leaving the NXT competition,” Josh Matthews said.

“You know, I don’t get these Canadian Ninjas,” Cole continued. “Their first night in WWE, they pick a fight with Alison Danger, they pick a fight with Natalya, they claim they’re going to going to run roughshod over the WWE, and ever since, all they’ve done is whine about how they think WWE has been unfair to them!”

“Amazingly enough, Cole, I have to agree with you,” Josh agreed.

“Really?” Cole asked, shocked.

“Yes,” Josh confirmed. “Ever since Portia Perez came to NXT, she’s done nothing but cause trouble, and now that it’s biting her on the ass, she’s complaining about it like a spoiled, little girl!”

“Well, tonight, it’s put up or shut up time, as Portia Perez faces off, one on one, with Natalya here tonight!” Cole announced.

“And now that Nicole Matthews has been eliminated from NXT, Portia isn’t going to have her partner to rely on, the way she did two weeks ago in that Falls Count Anywhere match against Alison Danger,” Josh added.

“But now, we join Matt Striker, in the ring, with our NXT Rookies,” Cole said, handing the show over to Striker, in the ring.

“Now, as many of you in the WWE Universe have heard over the years, the women who have been able to make it and earn the title of WWE Diva all have three traits in common. They’re strong, they’re smart, and they’re sexy. And in three weeks’ time, we will have our very first Pro’s Poll, where our WWE Pros will rank these NXT Rookies by how they best exemplify these three ideals of the Quintessential WWE Diva. In order to test our Rookies’ ability to be strong, smart, and sexy, we will be holding challenges over the next few weeks, challenges that will show the WWE Pros, and you, the WWE Universe, just what our NXT Rookies have to offer. And, just to make things a little more interesting this season, the winner of each of these challenges will earn immunity from elimination at the Pro’s Poll, which means that, should one of our rookies win one of these challenges, and they are ranked last in our Pro’s Poll, they will be saved from elimination, and the next lowest ranked Rookie, who does not have immunity, will be eliminated instead. So, ladies, believe me when I say that winning these challenges is extremely important to your survival here on NXT!” Striker then moves off to the side, and allows the camera to get a shot of the table sitting behind him. “Tonight, our NXT Rookies will test their strength in a good, old fashioned arm wrestling contest!”

“YES!!!” Sara Del Rey shouts, happily.

“Well, it seems Sara Del Rey is excited about this,” Michael Cole said.

“Well, Sara Del Rey is notorious for her strength,” Josh Matthews added. “She, along with Amazing Kong, seem to stand the best chance of winning tonight’s challenge.”

“But what about Daizee Haze or Portia Perez? The two smallest competitors in our competition?” Cole asked.

“I don’t think Perez has much of a chance here, Cole,” Josh said. “But I think Daizee may surprise you. She may be small, but the girl is strong!”

“We’re going to begin our challenge tonight with Portia Perez,” Matt said, “and Sara Del Rey.”

“Del Rey seems awfully pleased about this,” Cole said, as Sara approached the table, “but it seems Portia is reluctant to hook up.”

“Looks like Portia’s arguing with Matt Striker now,” Josh added.

“I’m sorry, Portia, but that’s the challenge,” Matt replied. “Now, you need to set your arm down on the table, or you’ll forfeit this match, and lose the challenge!”

Portia reluctantly places her arm on the elbow-rest on the table, locking hands with Sara Del Rey. Once given the signal, Del Rey makes quick work of Perez, slamming the Canadian Ninja’s arm down with virtually no effort.

“Wow, that was quick!” Cole commented.

“Portia Perez, now, storming out of the ring. She doesn’t look to happy about this, whatsoever,” Josh added.

“Oh, wow, Portia Perez, throwing a hissy fit. What a shocker,” Cole said, sarcastically.

“Next up,” Matt Striker announced, “the Radiant Rain versus the Amazing Kong!”

“And the Internet Darling, now, against the Minnesota Home-Wrecker. How do you think this one will turn out, Josh?” Cole asked.

“Well, obviously, Kong has the strength advantage, so…” Josh said.

“And there you go, again, sticking up for the Internet, Josh!” Cole said, smugly.

“What?” Josh replied. “I was just saying that Kong has the advantage, that’s all!”

“Sure, Josh,” Cole taunted. “Well, if you love Kong so much, why don’t you marry her?”

“You know, a minute ago, you were complaining about Portia Perez being immature…”Josh responded.

Kong and Rain place their arms down on the table, and join hands. When they’re given the signal, Kong gains an early advantage over Rain. Just as it appears that Rain is about to lose, though…

“Hey, is that Steve Austin?” Rain asks.

“Where?” Kong asks, turning around to see if her favorite wrestler was indeed watching her at that very moment. Rain, taking advantage, slams Kong’s arm down and wins the match-up.

“Well, there you go, nerd-boy! Kong lost!” Cole taunted as Rain dances around the ring, celebrating her victory.

“Kong, not looking too happy about the way Rain won,” Josh said.

“What about the way Rain won? I saw it! She slammed Kong’s arm down! That’s how you win an arm-wrestling contest, Josh!” Cole said.

“Obviously, Rain said something to Kong to distract her, taking advantage and cheating her way to victory,” Josh explained.

“Well, Kong should have been paying more attention to the contest, now shouldn’t she have?” Cole said.

Once Kong left the ring, having been eliminated from the contest, Striker called up the next two to face off in this challenge, Daizee Haze and Kellie Skater.

“Well, it looks like the Tank Girl has a chance to prove herself after that disastrous loss last week to Sara Del Rey,” Cole said.

“That’s ‘Rate Tank’, Cole,” Josh corrected. “But don’t count out Daizee Haze. Just look at those arms, Cole! You ever been to a gun show?”

“Not really,” Cole answered, confused. “Why do you ask?”

“Well, you’re at one now, ‘cause check out those guns!” Josh smiled.

“That has got to be the single worst call in wrestling history, Josh,” Cole said.

“Nah, it can’t be,” Josh said. “I’m not Michael Cole.”

“Ha, ha,” Cole said, sarcastically. “Real funny. Where did you read that one, WorldWrestlingInsanity.com?”

“Wow… someone in the Insanity Universe actually got that one right. Amazing!” Josh said, breaking the fourth wall something fierce.

“What the hell are you babbling about?” Cole asked.

“Nothing…” Josh said.

Meanwhile, Haze and Skater fight it out on the table. Skater takes the early advantage, but eventually, Haze comes back, downing the Rate Tank and winning her first round match-up.

“Amazing!” Cole said, in shock. “I honestly didn’t think Haze stood a chance in this!”

“I told you not to doubt the Haze,” Josh said as Kellie Skater left the ring.

“Next up, Cheerleader Melissa versus MsChif!” Striker announced.

“Well, this one should be interesting,” Josh said. “Former rivals turned allies, Cheerleader Melissa and MsChif have quite the history with one another.”

“Not only that, but it seems that they’re pretty evenly matched here, Josh,” Cole added.

“Indeed, they are! This could really go either way, Cole,” Josh said as the two locked hands. Once given the signal, Melissa gains an early advantage.

“Cheerleader Melissa, looking to make quick work of MsChif,” Cole said.

“But look at this, Cole! MsChif, rallying the comeback now!” Josh replied.

“But Melissa, now, putting the pressure on MsChif. It looks like Melissa’s about to win this…” Cole says as a scream from the depths of hell itself seems to erupt from MsChif, empowering her.

“MsChif now, overpowering Melissa. It’s as if that scream has given her to strength to fight back, Cole!” Josh said.

“Melissa, trying to fight back now, but… That’s it! It’s over! MsChif is victorious!” Cole said.

Melissa, gracious in defeat, shakes MsChif’s hand after the match ends, telling her, “Nice job.”

“Thanks,” MsChif says as Melissa makes her way out of the ring.

“Heh,” Sara Del Rey huffs as Melissa makes her way through the ropes.

“What’s that for?” Melissa, knowing when she’s being insulted, demanded from Sara.

“Not my fault you’re getting soft,” Sara said. Melissa just shakes her head and walks away, but before she leaves, she hears Sara say one more thing to her, “… Barbie.”

“And now, our second round begins! Sara Del Rey, you’re up against the Radiant Rain!” Striker says.

“Well, this should be interesting,” Josh said. “Rain was able to outthink Kong in the last round, distracting her just long enough to get the win, but now, she finds herself in another jam, up against the easy favorite for this contest in Sara Del Rey.”

“You think Rain has any tricks up her sleeve for Del Rey?” Cole asks.

“You never know, Cole. Sara Del Rey is infamous for her focus, but if Rain can find a way to make Death Rey blink, she could pull off a huge upset here,” Josh explained.

“Well, they’re hooked up now, and here we go! Del Rey, seeming to let Rain take the early advantage,” Cole said.

“I don’t think that’s too wise of Death Rey,” Josh warned, “as we learned earlier, underestimating the Minnesota Home-Wrecker can turn out disastrous!”

“Rain now, seeming to catch on to what’s happening here,” Cole said.

“Hey,” Rain said to Sara, “What the hell? You’re not even fighting back?”

“Hey,” Sara said, looking off into the distance, “isn’t that Lacey?”

“Where?” Rain said, looking behind her to see if her fellow Home-Wrecker had come back, looking for revenge after Rain stabbed her teammates in the back last week to remain on NXT.

“And that’s it! Sara Del Rey has beaten Rain to move on to the finals!” Cole shouted as Rain realized just what happened to her.

“YOU… ABSOLUTE… BITCH!!!” Rain seethed.

Sara just shrugged, “I could have sworn it was her.”

As Rain made her way out of the ring, Daizee Haze and MsChif locked hands and began their second round match-up.

“Well, here we go, the Goth Chick and the Hippy now,” Cole said.

“That’s MsChif and Daizee Haze, Cole,” Josh corrected.

“Now, from what I understand, these two are actually good friends?” Cole asked.

“Actually, most of these girls are pretty well acquainted with one another, having worked with and against one another all across the nation. In fact, in some places, Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey actually compete as a Tag Team, most infamously in CHIKARA as members of the BDK, or the Brotherhood of the Cross,” Josh Matthews explained, “where they’re considered part of the main roster.”

“What do you mean?” Cole asked.

“They wrestle against guys,” Josh answered. “And, sometimes, they wipe the floor with them.”

“Really?” Cole asked.

“Yeah,” Josh answered. “Believe me, these aren’t girls you want to pick a fight with. They aren’t Daniel Bryan. They’ll actually mess you up if you piss them off!”

“Yeah, that’s right, Daniel Bryan,” Cole said. “You even heard it from the ‘net geek himself! Even HE thinks these girls are tougher than you! How’s your Manliness Meter gauging that one, huh?”

“God damn it, Cole! We’re in Season 2 now. Bryan lost. You think you can get over this thing, now?” Matthews sighed.

Meanwhile, Haze and MsChif fight it out on the table, with Chif actually taking the early advantage. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long, as Haze fights back. Soon, Chif focuses her strength and…

“And here comes the scream,” Josh says. “It did wonders for MsChif last time, maybe it’ll do the same this time against Daizee Haze.”

“What’s this? Haze, with a primal scream of her own, almost mocking MsChif now,” Cole adds.

“We’re seeing shades of the CHIKARA Haze, now, bringing out that mean streak that Haze has been showing throughout the Indies in the past year,” Matthews said.

“MsChif, now, not taking too kindly to the mocking, looking to put Haze away,” Cole said.

“But Haze, not quite done yet, fighting back and… yes! That’s it! Haze is going to the finals!” Josh said as MsChif makes her way out of the ring.

Daizee, not wanting to leave a bad impression on Chif, says to her, “Hey, um… this isn’t personal, you know.”

“I know, Daizee,” MsChif replied. “Good luck.”

“Thanks,” Daizee says as Sara Del Rey makes her way back over to the table for the final round.

“All right, ladies,” Matt Striker says to Haze and Del Rey. “This is the final round. The winner here will receive immunity from elimination in the Pro’s Poll in three weeks. You two ready?”

“Let’s do this,” Sara said, excitedly, as she set her arm on the table.

“You heard the woman,” Daizee agreed, locking hands with Sara.

Once given the signal, the two women find themselves in a dead heat. Daizee, though, showing signs of fatigue from the last match, begins to wear down, and Sara takes the advantage. Soon, as Daizee sees she’s going down, she rallies what strength she has left, but, unfortunately, all it does it make Del Rey realize she needs to push harder, and Sara dominates, winning the match.

“And that’s it! Sara Del Rey is your winner!” Striker announces.

“Another impressive showing by Death Rey,” Josh Matthews adds.

“Sara Del Rey earns immunity from elimination at the next Pro’s Poll tonight by winning the Strength Challenge!” Cole says. “And coming up, after the break, in our Main Event tonight, Portia Perez faces off against her NXT Pro, Natalya! Can Natalya finally put that little brat in her place, or will the Canadian Ninja find a way to take out the Daughter of The Anvil, here tonight?”

As NXT goes to commercial, Del Rey and Haze make their way to the back. There, Del Rey is met by her NXT Pro, Maryse.

“Well, now,” Maryse said to her rookie. “Didn’t I tell you that you wouldn’t need me out there?”

“I don’t know what the hell you want, Barbie, but…” Del Rey growled.

“Maryse,” she corrected. “My name is Maryse.”

“Like I really give a damn,” Sara said, trying to blow off her Pro. Maryse, though, not taking kindly to rejection, pulls on Del Rey’s arm.

“Look, bitch,” Maryse said. “Just because you won immunity tonight doesn’t mean I still don’t have, as you would say, ‘your ass in a sling’ for the next ten weeks. So you better listen, because I’m only going to say this once. Drop the attitude, or, believe me, the moment you don’t have immunity, you’ll be the first one voted off of this show, you understand me?”

“Yeah, I bet you will,” Sara Del Rey said. “And all you’ll do is prove to the world that the WWE Divas are nothing but a bunch of spoiled models who can’t handle any real competition. But hey, I guess it doesn’t matter to you, does it, Maryse? You don’t mind being a joke, because, at least then, you can still convince yourself that you actually deserve the spot you have in this business! And me? Even if I don’t win, and I don’t get to be the next big Diva or whatever, it won’t matter because I’ll still be better than you. I’ll still have more respect than you. And the next time a real wrestler goes down hurt because one of you Barbie girls can’t figure your ass from a hole in the ground, you know who WWE is going to call? Me. Sara Del Rey. So, really, Maryse, you go ahead and play your little popularity game. Tell all the other pros that I have a bad attitude, that I don’t belong in ‘your’ locker room, because, at the end of the day, I’ll still be a better wrestler than you, I’ll still be a better athlete than you, and I’ll still have more respect from the fans, and the boys, than you ever will! Why? Because I didn’t compete in some beauty pageant and have the whole business handed to me on a silver platter, then go around acting like I’m somebody. You want to threaten me? You go right ahead. Because, no matter what you do, those fans, they’re going to see the truth for themselves. I am the best women’s wrestler in this country, perhaps, even the world. And you, you’re just a Barbie Girl in the Barbie World.”

Sara Del Rey then walks off, leaving Maryse to think about what she just said.

As the commercial break comes to an end, Portia Perez makes her way down to the ring. Meanwhile, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews guide the viewers at home through a replay of the events that lead to tonight’s Main Event.

“Well, it all began 2 weeks ago on the season premiere of Divas’ NXT. Portia Perez, running her big mouth about how she and her partner, Nicole Matthews, was going to run roughshod over our WWE Divas, challenging any one, or even ALL of them, to come out and try and stop her,” Michael Cole began.

“Natalya came out, trying to talk some sense into Portia, but instead was attacked from behind by Nicole Matthews. The Canadian Ninjas, then, laying Natalya out with the Funky Cold Medina, right on the WWE Stage,” Josh Matthews continues.

“Then, last week, Nicole Matthews replaced the injured Jetta in a match with the Amazing Kong, where Portia Perez kept interfering on her partner’s behalf,” Cole added.

“And even though Kong won, she was then attacked by the Canadian Ninjas after the match was over,” Josh said.

“Natalya came to Kong’s aid, though, running off the Ninjas, and challenged one of them to a match this week on NXT,” Cole continued.

“With the elimination of Nicole Matthews from this competition, last week, Portia Perez stepped up and accepted Natalya’s challenge, but, as things would turn out, that may not have been the wisest move on Portia’s part, as, this week, Natalya was named Portia Perez’s WWE Pro,” Josh concluded.

“So, here we go,” Cole said as Portia Perez made her way out to the ring, “Our first rookie vs. pro match-up of the season, Portia Perez vs. Natalya!” Once Portia was in the ring, Natalya made her way down to the ring. “Natalya, looking to beat some sense into her NXT rookie tonight, and, what’s this?”

Just then, Natalya was attacked by what appeared to be a fan in a pink ninja mask, jumping the rail and nailing Natalya in the back with a hockey stick. Once Natalya was down, the fan removed her mask to reveal…

“It’s Nicole Matthews!” Michael Cole shouted as Matthews continued her beating on Natalya, punishing the back of the third-generation diva. “What in the hell is she doing here?!”

“Nicole Matthews, with repeated blows to the back of Natalya with that hockey stick,” Josh said.

“And WWE Security, now, dragging Nicole Matthews out of the arena,” Cole added. “I can’t believe this, Josh. Natalya was supposed to face Portia Perez one on one tonight, and, instead, she gets jumped by Nicole Matthews, who was eliminated from NXT last week!”

“Natalya looks like she’s hurt,” Josh said. “I don’t think she’s in any condition to compete here tonight.”

“But what’s this? Portia Perez, rolling Natalya into the ring now. She’s telling the referee to ring the bell,” Cole said as the referee officially started the match.

Portia Perez vs. Natalya
Michael Cole: I can’t believe this! Portia Perez, now, stomping on the back of Natalya, looking to capitalize on the damage Nicole Matthews inflicted on Natalya as she came down to the ring.

Josh Matthews: Portia Perez, taking the early advantage now, picking Natalya up and nailing her with a big body slam.

Michael Cole: Natalya’s hurt, Josh. I don’t think she’s going to last much longer.

Josh Matthews: Portia Perez, now, looking to wear down the back some more, locking Natalya in the dreaded Camel Clutch.

Michael Cole: Perez, with her knee, right into the back of Natalya, as she wrenches the neck and back.

Josh Matthews: Natalya, trying to get to the ropes, but Portia sees that she’s close and releases the hold, and… Oh! An elbow to the back of Natalya, and a cover, now. 1… 2… and Natalya, kicking out!

Michael Cole: Perez now, rolling Natalya over once again, with repeated knees to the back of the third-generation diva.

Josh Matthews: Portia Perez with a smart strategy here, working the injured back of her opponent, not letting up…

Michael Cole: Portia now, with a bow and arrow lock on Natalya, trying to wrench the back…

Josh Matthews: Natalya, trying to fight out of the hold now, but Portia puts and end to that, kicking Natalya right in the small of her back.

Michael Cole: Perez, now taunting the WWE Universe as Natalya rolls around in pain.

Josh Matthews: Not sure she should be doing that, Cole. She hasn’t won the match, yet!

Michael Cole: Perez, now, grabbing the legs of Natalya, and, what’s this? She’s going for… no! Not this!

Josh Matthews: Portia Perez, looking to add insult to injury, going for the Sharpshooter on Natalya.

Michael Cole: Perez, taking her sweet time applying the hold, too, making sure the WWE Universe knows just how she feels about them.

Josh Matthews: Once again, Perez, letting her mouth write checks her ass can’t cash, as Natalya, now, kicking Perez off of the attempted Sharpshooter!

Michael Cole: Natalya to the ropes now, trying to get to her feet.

Josh Matthews: Perez, charging at Natalya, but Natalya, to her feet, nails Portia with the clothesline!

Michael Cole: That looked like it almost killed her, Josh!

Josh Matthews: Natalya, now, to her feet, rallying the support of the WWE Universe.

Michael Cole: Perez, struggling to her feet now, dazed after that massive clothesline by Natalya.

Josh Matthews: Natalya, scooping Perez up, and, could it be? Is she going for… yes, it is! The Anvil Flattener!

Michael Cole: Natalya, taking a page out of her father’s playbook, nailing Perez with a huge front powerslam, and the cover now. 1… 2… 3! That’s it… no, wait. The referee, now, seeing that Perez managed to reach the bottom rope before the count. And it looks like this match is going to continue.

Josh Matthews: Natalya, not happy about the count at all, arguing with the referee.

Michael Cole: Chad Patton, the referee, explaining to Natalya that Perez had her foot on the ropes.

Josh Matthews: Perez, to her feet now, nailing the high knee to the back of Natalya, now.

Michael Cole: Perez, now, locking in that swinging Killswitch she calls the ‘Kosher Pickle’, and she’s going for it…

Josh Matthews: Natalya scouted this move ahead of time, though, tossing Portia off just as she was about to go for the move.

Michael Cole: Portia now, back to her feet. Natalya charges, going for yet another clothesline. Portia ducks, now grabbing Natalya by the hair, yanking her down across the knee!

Josh Matthews: Perez, with a modified backbreaker, and the cover. 1… 2… and Natalya kicks out!

Michael Cole: Perez, frustrated now, going for a surfboard submission now.

Josh Matthews: Perez, continuing to work the back of Natalya, but Natalya, fighting back to her feet, trying to reverse the surfboard now, but, wait… Portia Perez, one step ahead of Natalya, spinning the hold now into that Killswitch position and, up the turnbuckle, now! She hits it, the Kosher Pickle! Going for the cover, now.

Michael Cole: And what’s this? Perez, using the ropes for leverage as the ref makes his count. 1… 2… 3! Unbelievable!

Josh Matthews: Portia Perez, stealing a victory here on NXT, with her feet on the ropes after nailing the Kosher Pickle on Natalya!

Winner: Portia Perez

“But it looks like she’s not finished, yet, as Portia, now, stomping repeatedly on that injured back of Natalya!” Michael Cole shouted as Perez continued her attack on the WWE Pro.

“Perez, now, looking to lock in that Sharpshooter, once again, as the crowd here in Nashville tells Portia exactly what they think of her,” Josh Matthews adds as the crowd in Nashville shower Portia Perez in a chorus of boos. As Portia attempts to lock in the Hart Family’s signature hold, the sharpshooter, on her fallen opponent, Josh Matthews announced to the viewers watching at home, “And it looks like business, as JR would say, is about to pick up! Here comes the Amazing Kong!”

“Kong, looking to make the save for Natalya, returning the favor from last week, as Natalya saved her from a two-on-one assault by the Canadian Ninjas!” Cole added.

“Kong and Natalya, having forged a mutual respect for one another years ago while feuding in Japan, looking to watch each other’s back here in NXT!” Josh explained.

“But Perez, not wanting any piece of Kong, heads for the hills as the monster enters the ring!” Cole adds.

“Portia Perez, picking up the win here on NXT over her WWE Pro, but I can’t possibly see how any of this is going to help Portia Perez in this NXT competition,” Josh continues. “Now that Natalya has been named one of the WWE Pros judging our NXT Rookies this season, I just have to believe that Portia Perez’s days on NXT are numbered!”

“Well, I don’t know about you, Josh, but the sooner that little brat is kicked off this show, the better!” Michael Cole said. “She has no respect for the WWE. She has no respect for the fans. All she ever does is run her mouth, then, she complains about it when she has deal with the consequences! Portia Perez is a disgrace to Sports Entertainment, and she doesn’t belong here on NXT, let alone the WWE!”

“Well, strangely enough, Cole, I have to agree,” Josh conceded. “Out of everyone in this competition, no one has shown any less respect for the WWE and its fans than Portia Perez! Hopefully, soon, Portia will get what she has coming to her, but, as for tonight, she remains victorious, continuing her undefeated streak here on NXT!”

“Well, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for watching, and tune in next week for more of NXT: Divas!” Cole said, signing off.
