Tales From The Insanity Universe: NXT Divas - Week Four
The Insanity Universe is not our Universe. It exists in the head of Mike Johns. Who lives there? Every wrestler you've ever known.... Click Here For Mike Johns' NXT Divas Week One Click Here For Mike Johns' NXT Divas Week Two Click Here For Mike Johns' NXT Divas Week Three
It is now Week 4 of the Divas’ NXT Competition, and 8 Rookies still remain - Cheerleader Melissa, Daizee Haze, Amazing Kong, Sara Del Rey, MsChif, Portia Perez, Rain, and “The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater. Last week, after being introduced to their WWE Pros, the ladies competed in an Arm Wrestling Challenge to earn immunity from elimination at the first Pro’s Poll, two weeks from now. Sara Del Rey won, earning her immunity, but afterwards, her Pro, Maryse, warned Del Rey that her negative attitude towards the WWE Divas would ultimately cost her the NXT competition. Del Rey responded by saying that, should she be eliminated, it would only prove to the world that the Divas were afraid of real competition. Meanwhile, tensions between Portia Perez and her pro, Natalya, came to a head as Portia’s tag team partner, the eliminated Nicole Matthews, jumped out from the crowd and attacked Natalya before their match, allowing Portia Perez to pick up the victory. Inside the Rupp Arena, in Lexington, Kentucky, the NXT Rookies, as well as their WWE Pros, are all gathered just outside of the Divas’ Locker Room. Once again, they are greeted by the Executive Vice President of Creative Development and Operations, Stephanie McMahon and NXT Host, Matt Striker. “Hello and welcome to the 4th week of NXT!” Stephanie began. “First off, I’d like to begin today by addressing a question posed by, uh…” “MsChif,” Matt Striker said to Stephanie. “MsChif,” Stephanie continued, “Concerning the Pay-Per-View Title Match. We’ve talked it over amongst the creative team, and we’ve decided that, should you win the NXT competition, you will automatically receive a title match on pay-per-view against the current-reigning Women’s Champion of SmackDown.” “WHAT?!” Michelle McCool shouted, irate that the Women’s Title, currently co-held by her and Layla, was now automatically at stake, regardless of who ultimately wins NXT. “Because we are looking to expand the SmackDown Divas’ roster, we found that it would be counter-intuitive of us to allow you to choose your champion for your pay-per-view title match. So, we do apologize for this change, if you were, indeed, looking forward to facing our Divas’ Champion on pay-per-view,” Stephanie explained. “Damn,” MsChif said, disappointed. She then turned to Eve, standing nearby, and handed her a camera. “You think I can at least get a picture of me holding the belt? Please?” Daizee Haze couldn’t help but laugh. “What’s the matter?” “I just can’t believe it’s that important to you,” Daizee said, not sure what else to say as Eve handed MsChif the title. “What? You don’t think I want to hold something this…?” MsChif began, as she slung the Divas’ Championship over her shoulder. “Pretty?” Daize said with a devilish smile. MsChif shook her head, frustrated, then smiled for the camera as Eve took the picture. As MsChif and Eve exchanged title for camera, Daizee just smiled devilishly at her friend. “You know, Chif, it’s okay to admit you’re a little girly, every now and then,” Daizee said. “Just don’t tell LuFisto, okay?” MsChif said. “I’d never hear the end of it if she knew…” “And, with that, I’m going to hand the floor over to Matt Striker, who is going to go over tonight’s competition with you,” Stephanie said, giving Striker the floor. “Well, as you know, ladies, last week, I told you about the 3 S’s of the WWE Divas – Strong, Smart, and Sexy,” Matt began. “Um, I was looking it up on your website, and they actually say the Divas are ‘Smart, Sexy, and Powerful’,” Kellie Skater stated. “Yeah, and…?” Matt replied. “So, it’s not exactly three S’s, is it?” Kellie pointed out. “It’s actually 2 S’s and a P.” “Strong, Powerful, whatever! Either way, ladies…” Matt continued. “Well, doesn’t being strong and being powerful constitute different ideas? What I mean is, it is possible to be powerful, yet not very strong, and…” Kellie continued. “Please, Kellie, can we just not worry about this and move on?” Striker asked. “I guess we could, but I’d figure, seeing as you’re a former school teacher and all, that you of all people would…” Kellie continued. Suddenly, without warning, Kellie was once again hit with a punch to the gut, courtesy of Amazing Kong. “The man asked you to let it go, Tank,” Kong scolded, as the allegedly invincible Skater dropped to the floor. “You may continue, Matt.” “Uh, thanks, Kong,” Matt said as he continued his speech. “Anyway, like I was saying, there are three specific qualities of the quintessential WWE Diva. Last week, we gauged your physical strength. This week, though, we gauge your confidence, and your ability to appeal to our fans. This week, we have the Sexy Challenge…” “Oh, great!” Sara Del Rey grumbled. “Let me guess. It’s a…” “A bikini contest!” Matt Striker announced, excitedly. Sara responded by smacking herself on the forehead. “Of course,” Sara lamented. “Oh, come on, Sara,” Cheerleader Melissa said. “It’s not that bad! Besides, this is WWE. You had to know they were going to try to get you in a swimsuit at some point!” “Hey, Matt?” MsChif asked, raising her hand. “What if we don’t have a bikini?” “That’s actually not a problem at all, MsChif,” Matt continued. “We anticipated that, and had your WWE Pros pick out a piece of swimwear for each and every one of you!” “Really?” MsChif asked, her soul, filling with dread. “You let… my pro… pick out my…” “Oh, MsChif, you’re just going to love it!” Jillian Hall shrieked. “It’s just the cutest thing, too!” “Oh, dead God, kill me now,” MsChif sighed. “Oh, come on, Chif,” Daizee Haze said. “It’ll go great with your pretty little butterfly belt…” “I hate you so much, right now, Daizee, you have no idea,” MsChif mumbled. Just then, Daizee’s pro, the Straight-Edge Society’s own Serena, handed Daizee a burlap sack, and said in a virtually monotone voice, “Here. Have fun, hippy.” “What’s this?” Daizee said, looking down to realize that it was just a burlap sack in her hand. MsChif, seeing this, laughs. “Suddenly, I don’t feel so bad,” MsChif said. Jillian then dangled a small, frilly pink bikini in front of MsChif’s face, smiling, “You’re going to look awesome, Chif! I swear!” “Uh,” MsChif said, looking over the incredibly small piece of swimwear. “Where’s the rest of it?” “Plus,” Matt Striker added, “Rain will be facing off against Daizee Haze, Cheerleader Melissa, you’ll be facing off with Kellie Skater, and Sara Del Rey faces off against our Divas’ Champion, Eve! If there aren’t any questions, I’ll just let you go to get ready for tonight’s show.” Once Striker dismisses the Rookies and Pros, Amazing Kong makes her way over to Natalya, who is still nursing a sore back after the attack she suffered at the hands of Nicole Matthews the week before. “How you holding up, Nattie?” Kong asked. “I’ve been better,” Natalya replied. “Thanks for making the save last week. I don’t know how much worse I’d be right now if you didn’t chase that brat…” “AHEM!” Portia Perez said, drawing attention to herself. “Speaking of which…” Natalya sighed. “What the hell do you want, Pebbles?” “That’s ‘Portia’, Neidhart,” Portia corrected. “And that’s Natalya to you, little girl. Now, you going to tell me why you’re interrupting the adults while they’re speaking, or am I just going to have to put you in time out?” Natalya said. “Oh, ha, ha,” Portia commented. “Real funny. Like you’re the only one who’s ever made that joke…” “Joke? No,” Natalya said. “You want to go around acting like a spoiled little girl, then I’m going to treat you like a spoiled little girl. Now, tell me what it is you want.” “Striker said you had a swimsuit for me,” Portia demanded. “Oh, that,” Natalya sighed. “Hold on.” Natalya rummages through her gym bag, then pulls out a diaper, a baby bonnet, and a pacifier, and hands them to Portia. “There you go!” “What the f*ck is this?” Portia screamed. “What? It’s your swimsuit! You didn’t think I’d let you go swimming in big girl’s clothes, did you?” Natalya scoffed. “Now, get lost. The adults are trying to have a conversation.” Portia furiously throws the baby items back in Natalya’s face and huffs, “This ain’t over, Neidhart!” Portia then stomps away. “Whatever,” Natalya said, sarcastically. Turning back to Kong, Natalya says, “God, that girl is a pain in the ass!” Portia then makes her way over to MsChif, who was staring in horror at the extremely small bikini her pro had picked out for her. “Yoink!” Portia says as she snatches the bikini out of MsChif’s hand. Portia then storms off. “Wait!” Jillian shouted. “That’s not yours! It won’t even fit you!” “I’ll make it fit!” Portia shouted as she stormed off. “Oh well,” MsChif smiled. “No itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny bikini for me. Guess I’m just going to have to forfeit.” “Oh, don’t worry,” Jillian said, pulling out an equally small blue bikini from her gym bag. “I’ve got more!” “Oh,” MsChif gasped, losing all comprehension of hope, “Really?” “Yep,” Jillian smiled. “I even have one in green! You like green, right?” MsChif looked over at Daizee, who was just standing there with a burlap sack in her hand, looking with dismay at Serena in the distance, talking with CM Punk and Luke Gallows. Holding up the teeny bikini, MsChif calls out to Daizee and says, “I’ll trade you.” Meanwhile, Michelle McCool and Layla are talking to one another about the announcement that the NXT Winner would face the Women’s Champion for their title on PPV. “Can you believe this? All because that little goth girl had to go and say something, now our title’s on the line, no matter who wins this thing!” Michelle complained. “I know! What a bitch!” Layla agreed. “I mean, I know that the NXT Winner’s pro is supposed to get $10,000 a year added to their current contract. That’s why we doubled down, and took separate rookies, so we’d have a better chance of getting the money.” Michelle complained. “But, what if that Kong girl actually wins? I mean, she could kill us!” “Oooo… that could be bad,” Layla agreed. “Why don’t you just get rid of her?” Rain said, overhearing the two talking. “Oh, hey, Rain,” Michelle said, rather superficially. “Layla and I were just talking about…” “About how, if Kong wins, you guys are sure to lose your Women’s Title, right?” Rain smiled. “Oh, please,” Michelle scoffed, “Us? Worried about Kong?” “Look, there’s no shame in wanting to avoid Kong. I’ve been in the ring with her, and, believe me, that’s no place you want to be,” Rain said. “But, like you guys were saying, you took separate rookies, so you could increase your odds. So, what if, let’s say, I win. I get the contract, and you guys get your raise. It’s not like anyone said I have to take my title shot right away, right?” “That could work,” Layla smiled. “We could use her as an insurance policy. A guaranteed title match, in case we ever lose it, you know?” “Exactly!” Rain smiled. “Hold up, Layla,” Michelle said. “You remember what happened a couple weeks ago, when Rain and her friends had to decide which one of them stayed on NXT? They were all supposed to leave together, but, instead, she decided that she wanted to stay, and screwed them both right off the show!” “Now, wait, that’s not how it happened,” Rain said, trying to defend herself. “What? You didn’t lie to that Lacey girl and tell her you were going to walk out on this show with her?” Michelle asked. “Listen, she wanted to leave,” Rain said. “And Jetta was hurt! You remember! She had Nicole Matthews take her place in that match with Kong?” “Yeah, I remember,” Michelle sighed. “I also remember how, last week, you cheated in order to win that arm wrestling match you had with Kong!” “So I let the big dumb freak think Steve Austin was in the audience,” Rain scoffed. “So what?” “So how do we know that you’re not just going to screw us over once you win NXT and take our Women’s Championship from us?” Michelle asked. “Because, Michelle, you and I are a lot alike,” Rain said. “You and me, we’re not like these other girls. We’re not under the false delusion that people actually respect women athletes in this country. Hell, you can’t even get some decent press as a female athlete unless you’re willing to wear next to nothing and pose for some men’s magazine! Me? I’m the kind of girl your bosses like. I’m pretty. I’ll wear whatever you give me, and, I have no problem posing for whatever you throw at me. Maxim? Sure! Whatever you say, Mr. McMahon!” “There’s more to being a diva than sexy photoshoots,” Michelle said. “Is there, really?” Rain smiled. “You and I both know we’re just the popcorn matches. They throw us on TV for five minutes, pop a rating for the network, give the boys in the audience a cheap thrill, then cash the paychecks and go home. We don’t matter. Not really. And the last thing you need is some self-righteous zealot rocking the boat and making things worse for you by complaining to management about how they should be using you all better.” Michelle looks at Layla, who shrugs and says, “She’s got a point, ‘Chelle.” “Yeah,” Michelle sighs, “I guess you’re right. We get enough drama from the boys. God knows we don’t need the office mad at us, too!” “So, do we have an understanding?” Rain said, extending her hand to Michelle. “Looks like you just became our new best friend, Rain,” Michelle said. As this is going on, Eve and Cheerleader Melissa are in the locker room, getting ready for their matches later tonight. “So, this Kellie Skater girl? You faced her before?” Eve asked as she sat down on the bench in front of her locker. “Once,” Melissa answered. “In SHIMMER. Beat her well enough. The girl’s got a lot of confidence, but she still has a lot to learn about wrestling.” “So, Sara… I got a match with her tonight,” Eve said. “I’m not going to lie to you, she’s tough,” Melissa answered. “Tougher than anyone you’ve faced before. But, I’ve been watching some of your matches lately, and…” “You’ve been watching my matches?” Eve asked, surprised. “Of course,” Melissa answered. “You said you wanted to learn, so, I…” “Thank you,” Eve said. “You thought I was just going to blow you off, huh?” Melissa asked. “Honestly? Yeah, I did,” Eve answered. “The boys…” “Eve, listen,” Melissa said. “You don’t worry about them, or Sara, or anyone else. As long as you keep working hard, going out there, night after night, learning from your mistakes, you’re going to get better. And, eventually, those people who you went to for advice, the people who blew you off, they’re not going to matter, because you’ll have managed to earn the fans’ respect. And, Eve, once you have that, you’ll be able to go anywhere you want in this business.” “You really think so?” Eve said. “What the hell am I saying? You’re already in WWE,” Melissa said, just realizing that she was talking to someone who, by all means, has technically already ‘made it’ in the wrestling business. “Where else would you even want to go?” “I don’t know,” Eve said. “I mean, I like WWE. I get to be on TV every week, travel the world, meet all kinds of interesting people, and I get to do something I love for a living. But, I don’t know… It’s like, when the boys found out you, Kong, and Sara Del Rey were coming for NXT, the whole locker room was buzzing. Evan Bourne and Chris Jericho were talking about Del Rey’s match with Hamada in SHIMMER, and just how cool it’d be if Sara won and she got to be on the roster. Christian and R-Truth were talking about Kong… I guess they know her from TNA. And, you, too. But you were using that Raisha name, then. And…” “The boys were buzzing about us?” Melissa interrupted, shocked that their arrival here was garnering such a ruckus. “Yeah,” Eve said, as her excitement dropped, and was replaced with sadness. “Because the ‘real wrestlers’ were coming to WWE.” Melissa, now understanding exactly what was motivating Eve now, “And you’re just a ‘diva’.” “Exactly,” Eve said. “And, it’s like… maybe if was somewhere else first, then I came here, it’d be different. Like I’d be respected more if…” “HA!” Sara Del Rey shouted as she entered the scene. Eve and Melissa turned to see Death Rey already in her ring gear, ready for a fight. “You? Respected? Sure, Barbie, like you’d last five minutes in this business outside of WWE. You want to know why you’re not respected by the boys, or the fans, or anyone else, for that matter?” “Sara, why don’t you…” Melissa began. “No, it’s okay,” Eve said, standing up. “I want to hear this.” “You sure about that, Barbie?” Sara said. “Yeah, I’m sure,” Eve said, standing up to Sara. “Nobody respects you because the only thing you did to earn your spot was be pretty enough,” Sara said. “You didn’t train to wrestle. You didn’t work your way up the ladder. You didn’t even have so much as a single match before you got your cushy little contract with the biggest wrestling company in the world, and you have the gall to wonder why no one respects you in this business? It’s because you’ve done nothing to earn that respect, Barbie!” “My name is…” Eve began. “You’re name is Barbie to me. Just like all the other Barbies with the fake hair and the fake tits and no last names, all the same, all interchangeable, all not worth my time, or Melissa’s time, or anyone else’s time, for that matter,” Sara said. “And why, in God’s name, she puts up with you, I have no idea, because the Cheerleader Melissa I knew would have destroyed little girls like you in seconds. But hell, maybe all that time in TNA screwed with her head or something. Or, maybe, she’s just gone soft in her old age.” “Sara, you’re two years older than me,” Melissa pointed out. “And, perhaps, I’m ‘wasting my time’ with Eve because she actually has some natural talent, and she actually does want to…” “You’re actually buying into this crap?!” Sara said to Melissa. “Can’t you see this whole thing is an act? She doesn’t care about wrestling, or us! She’s just using you as an endorsement to get some respect, thinking that maybe, if Cheerleader Melissa accepts her, others will too!” “I can’t believe you can be so cynical, Sara,” Melissa said. “Me? Cynical? You’re damn right, I am!” Sara yelled. “Hell, at least Maryse isn’t trying to bullsh*t me with some act about wanting my respect, because she knows damn well she’ll never get it. Yet, here you are, letting this Barbie use you to improve her status among the boys. Seriously, Melissa, are you losing it?” “Maybe I am,” Melissa said. “And maybe, just maybe, you’re jealous because the Barbie girls all got the job you always wanted. So now, you want to take it out on them, instead of using this opportunity to actually win the spot you’ve been dreaming of since you were a little girl. So, yeah, maybe I’m losing it. Maybe I am just being naive. But seriously, Sara… you’re just being a f*cking idiot. So why don’t you go find Maryse and let her pretty you up a bit. God knows you’re going to need all the help you can get if you think you’re going to beat Rain in a bikini contest…” “Barbie, I’d pray to whatever God you believe in, because that’s about all that’ll stop me from killing you in that ring tonight,” Sara threatened, as she backed away from Eve. “And Melissa, in case you forgot, I already have my immunity. Rain wants to prance around half-naked on national TV, that’s her deal, but don’t expect me to follow suit just because you think I should.” “Whatever, Sara,” Melissa said, turning her back on Death Rey, rummaging through her gym bag. As Sara walked away, Eve said to Melissa, “She does realize that we’re the ones deciding her fate here, right?” “I don’t think she cares, Eve,” Melissa sighed. “I think she’s just gotten so angry over the years that it’s completely blinded her to anything else.” “It’s a shame, too,” Eve agreed. “Because she’s really good. In fact, she probably is going to kill me tonight.” “You know, I could…” Melissa began. Eve cut her off, though, replying, “No. I have to do this on my own. Thank you, though.” Melissa returned to her things and smiled. Even though Melissa was willing to be there for Eve as she faced off against what would likely be Eve’s toughest opponent to date, she was equally as happy to know that Eve wanted to do this for herself. After all, if Eve truly did want to earn the respect of her coworkers, she couldn’t depend on just a mere endorsement from a respected colleague to do so. Eve then asked Melissa, “You really think Rain is going to win the bikini contest?” “Probably,” Melissa said as she pulled out a swimsuit from her gym bag. “But, hey… doesn’t mean I can’t try, right?” Meanwhile, outside the locker room, Kong and Natalya are still catching up. “So, Kong,” Natalya asked. “You really going through with this bikini contest nonsense?” “Immunity’s on the line,” Kong said. “And I’m not going home.” “Yeah, but...” Natalya paused. “What?” Kong said. “You don’t think I stand a chance, do you?” “Honestly, Kong? Because, we’re friends and all, but…” Natalya said. “It’s cool, Nattie,” Kong said. “I know what I’m up against. But if you think I’m just going to let Rain get a pass after what she did to me last week, then you don’t know me very well.” “That, I can respect,” Natalya said as the two high-fived. “Give her hell.” “You bet I will,” Kong said as the two walked towards the locker room. Hours later, the rookies of NXT, as well as their pros, are gathered just outside of the gorilla position by Matt Striker. “Well, Ladies,” Matt began. “We go live in a few minutes. Now, tonight, we’re going to start off cold with Rain and Daizee Haze. So, when the intro video is done, Haze, you’re going out first.” Just as Daizee Haze walked up to the steps leading to gorilla, the entire Straight Edge Society joined her – Serena, Luke Gallows, and, of course, CM Punk. “Well, hello, Daizee,” CM Punk said. “Long time no see. How’s Delirious doing these days?” Daizee answered, “He’s…” Punk cuts her off, saying, “Getting the sh*t kicked out of him by Austin Aries. Yeah. I heard. You want to know what else I heard? You’re not going to win tonight. You want to know why?” “Because I’m not Straight Edge?” Daizee sighed, rolling her eyes. After all, she had only heard this speech about a bazillion times before in Ring of Honor. “Because you’re not Straight Edge!” CM Punk announced, proudly. Just then, the sounds of CM Punk’s entrance theme blared over the sound system, filling the Rupp Arena, bringing the capacity crowd to its feet. “Wait,” Daizee said, turning to Matt Striker. “I have to go out to HIS theme?” Matt shrugged and said, “That’s the way this show works, Daizee. Sorry.” Disappointed, Daizee made her way through gorilla and to the stage, followed by the Straight Edge Society. “Hello and welcome to NXT! I’m Michael Cole, along with Josh Matthews, and tonight, we have a very special show for you lined up!” Michael Cole announced. “Tonight, our NXT Rookies will be competing in a bikini contest, judged by YOU, the WWE Universe!” “The winner will receive immunity from elimination at our first Pro’s Poll, in two weeks, Cole!” Josh Matthews added. “Indeed, they will,” Cole agreed. “But we start off this show with the in-ring debut of Daizee Haze. Josh, why don’t you tell us more about her?” “Well, Cole,” Josh began, “Daizee began wrestling in 2002. Trained by former WWE Superstar, Kid Kash, and Ring of Honor’s Delirious, she got her first major break in the business managing WWE’s own Evan Bourne. Haze has competed all around the world, including Ring of Honor, CHIKARA, and SHIMMER, and even currently runs the ROH Training Academy, alongside Delirious.” “And what about her opponent tonight, Rain?” Cole asked as Rain and her pro, Layla, made their way down to the ring. “Well, Rain, best known as one half of the Minnesota Home-Wrecking Crew, alongside Lacey, has also had some success in AAA in Mexico as a member of Los Gringas Locas, as well as recently holding the Wrestlicious Championship, where she competes as ‘Felony’,” Josh said. “So who do you think has the advantage here, Josh?” Cole asked. “Well, Daizee has the technical know-how, but Rain has both the size advantage, as well as the mental one, as we saw last week when she distracted Amazing Kong to advance in the arm-wrestling challenge,” Josh analyzed. “Well, I hope Rain’s got something up her sleeve because Daizee does not look happy,” Cole said. “Would you be if you had to be stuck with the Straight Edge Society as your pros?” Josh asked. Daizee Haze w/ the Straight Edge Society vs. Rain w/ Layla
Michael Cole: And the match starts off as the two women tie up. Daizee with the go-behind, but can’t seem to pick Rain up. Rain, now, with an armwrench, but Daizee reverses, flips Rain over, drops the leg on the arm, and goes for the keylock. Josh Matthews: Haze, with the early submission attempt, but Rain fights out. Michael Cole: Rain wrenches the arm now, but Daizee, with the reverse, and what’s this? Josh Matthews: Haze nails the Heart Punch, which she usually follows up with a flying Yakuza kick and… What the hell? Did Serena just trip Daizee up? Michael Cole: Serena, for some reason, tripping Daizee Haze as she was coming off the ropes. Rain looking to capitalize now with a huge DDT, and the cover. 1… 2… 3! That’s it! Josh Matthews: Rain, using Lacey’s finishing move, the Implant DDT, to finish off Daizee Haze early on NXT after Daizee’s pro, Serena, cost her rookie the match. I just don’t understand this. Michael Cole: And the Straight Edge Society, walking off as Rain and Layla celebrate their victory here on NXT. Winner: Rain Daizee Haze, infuriated, followed after the SES as they made their way to the back. Once behind the curtain, Daizee rushes up to Serena, pushes her to the ground, and shouts, “What the hell was that for?” Luke Gallows then steps between Daizee and the fallen Serena. “I told you, hippy,” Serena shouted. “I’m not going to let some addict win NXT and join the WWE. Last thing we need is yet another drug-related embarrassment on the payroll!” “Are you kidding me?” Daizee shouted. “I passed your stupid little drug test, didn’t I?” “That wasn’t the test, Daizee,” CM Punk said, holding yet another plastic cup. “That’s just the baseline. THIS is the test.” “You have got to be kidding me,” Daizee sighed, trying to take the cup from Punk. Unfortunately, just like Serena had before, he wasn’t letting go of it. “Looks like someone didn’t read the Wellness Policy,” Serena said as she got up. “Now, did she?” Serena then took the cup from Punk, “Follow me, buttercup.” As Daizee and Serena walked off, Matt Striker gathered up the rest of the women and said, “All right. After the commercial, we have Melissa vs. Skater, then, after that, Del Rey and Eve. Then, Josh and Michael are going to take the viewers through the RAW Recap and the Pay-Per-View lineup, and then we’re going to do the bikini challenge, all right?” “Looks like I’m up,” Melissa said to Eve. “You want to come out with me, or…?” “That’s up to you,” Eve said. “WWE would probably prefer it, though, if I did. Since, well…” “Well, let’s go, then,” Melissa smiled as they walked towards gorilla. As they did, they passed by Sara Del Rey, who glared a hole through Eve, focusing every ounce of hatred she could on the Divas’ Champion. Melissa, seeing that Eve was intimidated, said to her, “Hey! Don’t let her get to you, all right?” “All right,” Eve said, trying to ignore Del Rey as they made their way to the curtain. “Next up,” Michael Cole announced, “we have the NXT Debut of Cheerleader Melissa. Josh?” “Cheerleader Melissa is a second-generation wrestler, her father having competed extensively on the west coast in 1980’s. She began her training at 15, touring and working behind the scenes extensively before making her in-ring debut in 1999. In fact, Melissa spent so much time on the road, she earned her High School Diploma via the Internet, e-mailing teachers and earning her credits online. Cheerleader Melissa may, in fact, be the first wrestling superstar of the Internet Age, having gained quite a bit of notoriety with online fans early on in her career. She’s wrestled extensively in Japan and throughout Europe, and has had notable feuds with Mariko Yoshida, Wesna Busic, and fellow NXT rookie, MsChif, just to name a few. She also remains one of the most popular female wrestlers in the world, despite the lack of mainstream exposure,” Josh Matthews explained. “Melissa’s pro, of course, the WWE Divas’ Champion, Eve Torres, who will be facing off against Sara Del Rey later tonight,” Cole added. “That should be an interesting showing, as Sara Del Rey has made no secret about her feelings towards our WWE Divas, recently,” Josh said. “But right now, we see Melissa’s opponent, Kellie Skater, coming down to the ring, alongside her pro, Gail Kim.” “So, what do you have on this Tank Girl, Josh?” Cole asked. “That’s ‘Rate Tank’, Cole,” Josh corrected. “Kellie Skater began her career in Australia at age 19, competing extensively in Australia’s PWA and PWWA promotions, as well as competing stateside in SHIMMER. She is a former PWWA champion, and has had feuded with fellow Aussie standouts, Jessie McKay and the current SHIMMER Champion, Madison Eagles. Unfortunately, her career hasn’t been as successful stateside, so far, only earning a handful of victories while competing here in America. She’s young, and still very inexperienced, but, as you can see, Cole, she has the confidence of a seasoned veteran.” “Is it true that she thinks she’s invincible?” Cole asked. “According to her, she’s virtually indestructible, Cole,” Josh answered. “Just how true that is, though, considering her record stateside, is highly questionable.” “Kellie Skater, having already made her debut last week against Sara Del Rey, not off to a good start here on NXT, losing that match,” Cole added. “Now, what do you think her chances are against Melissa?” “Honestly, Cole?” Josh asked. “Not very good. The last time they faced off, in SHIMMER, Melissa beat the holy hell out of her.” Cheerleader Melissa w/Eve Torres vs. “The Rate Tank” Kellie Skater w/Gail Kim Michael Cole: Well, we’re off, and the ladies tie up. Skater wrenches the arm, but Melissa reverses it. Josh Matthews: Melissa, working the arm of the Rate Tank, in complete control now. Michael Cole: Rate Tank, now, rolling out of the hold, and wrenching Melissa’s arm. Josh Matthews: Melissa, responding with a series of forearms to Skater’s face. Michael Cole: Melissa, whipping Skater off the ropes. Skater coming with the flying forearm but, what’s this? Melissa, pulling a Matrix, avoiding the shot. Josh Matthews: Melissa, back to her feet, catches Skater with a kick, and it looks like she’s going for the Air Raid Crash. Michael Cole: Skater, though, fighting out of the Crash attempt, and into an inverted DDT. Going for the cover, but just 1 on the count. Josh Matthews: Kellie Skater, not taking anything for granted here, with a chinlock now on Melissa, trying to wear her down. Michael Cole: Melissa, now, fighting to her feet. She breaks free of the hold, and Melissa, with the snap suplex on Skater, floating over for the cover, and the count. 1… 2… and Skater kicks out! Josh Matthews: Melissa now, rolling Skater over. It looks like she’s setting up for the Curb Stomp. Michael Cole: Skater, in a bad way, as Melissa has her up in that surfboard stretch, and… Josh Matthews: Oh! That’s got to hurt! Michael Cole: You’re telling me! Josh Matthews: And it looks like Melissa isn’t done yet. She’s got Skater on her feet, and it looks like… it is! Fans at home may know this move as the Cop Killa or Vertabreaker, but Cheerleader Melissa calls it the Kudo Driver, in homage of its creator, Megumi Kudo. Michael Cole: Melissa now, with that Kudo Driver on Skater, and the cover. 1… 2… 3! That’s it! Josh Matthews: Cheerleader Melissa, with an impressive victory on NXT! Winner: Cheerleader Melissa
Michael Cole: Looks like the Tank Girl’s losing streak in America continues Josh Matthews: She’s not on a streak, Cole. She just hasn’t had the success here that she has in her homeland, that’s all. Michael Cole: Well, so far, on NXT, Skater is 0 and 2. I’d call that a losing streak, Josh. Josh Matthews: Gail Kim, now in the ring, trying to help her rookie up, but Skater just pushes her off. Michael Cole: Skater, obviously frustrated with her loss here tonight. Josh Matthews: Which is understandable, but shoving Gail off like that… that’s something I’d expect to see out of Portia Perez. Not Kellie Skater. Michael Cole: Well, up next, we have our own WWE Divas’ Champion, Eve Torres, going up against NXT’s powerhouse rookie, Sara Del Rey. Stay tuned for more NXT! Kellie Skater marches off towards the back as Gail watches her from the ring while NXT goes to commercial. Gail then follows after her rookie, finally catching up with her in the back. “Kellie!” Gail called out, bringing her rookie to a halt. “Didn’t I already tell you to back off?” Kellie shouted at her pro. Gail, noticing how red Kellie’s eyes were, asked, “Are you crying?” “NO!” Kellie screamed. “I’m just… Leave me alone!” Kellie then marched off, leaving Gail as confused as ever. “This is her first real break, you know,” a voice called out from behind Gail. She looked back and saw MsChif standing there, having witnessed the whole encounter. “Can’t blame the girl for taking things so hard, you know?” “I know,” Gail sighed. “I just wished she’d let me help her.” “Tank’s got to learn this sh*t on her own,” MsChif replied. “She’ll come around. You just got to let her come to you, is all.” Suddenly, in the distance, the voice of Jillian Hall can be heard, shrieking, “There she is!” Along with her was WWE’s Hair and Makeup team. “As for me,” MsChif said, with a sense of dread in her voice, “I’ve got a date with a makeup chair.” “There you are!” Jillian announced as she walked up to MsChif and Gail Kim. “You know we only have another 15 minutes before showtime! We need to get you ready, right girls?” “Oh, dear God, if you’re there, please kill me,” MsChif sighed. “Oh, come off it, now,” Jillian said, putting her arm around MsChif. “When we’re done with you, you’re going to look fantastic!” Back at gorilla, Matt Striker was now calling the participants of the next match – Sara Del Rey and Eve Torres. “Hey, Eve!” Melissa said to her pro as she was about to head off for her match. “Watch her feet. Those kicks of hers are deadly.” Eve smiled, “Thanks.” Meanwhile, Maryse, too, had some words to share with her rookie… “Well, I certainly do appreciate what little use for you I have left in this competition,” Maryse snapped. “After all, once you pound Eve into the dirt, it’ll only make it that much easier for me to win back my Divas’ Championship.” “Whatever,” Sara said, completely blocking out everything around her that wasn’t Eve Torres. “You know, I did pick out a swimsuit for you, if you decide you actually want to win this thing, and participate,” Maryse continued. “Sure, whatever,” Sara replied, completely unaware of whatever it was Maryse just said. “You know,” Maryse continued, “I actually considered what you said to me last week, and…” “Can it, Barbie,” Sara shouted, frustrated by the continued interruption. “I’m busy.” “Doing what, exactly?” Maryse asked, completely unaware of Sara’s mental prepartation. As NXT came back from commercial, Sara Del Rey was making her way down to the ring, with Maryse following about 10 steps behind. “We’re back here on NXT,” Michael Cole announced, “And right now, we’re about to see Sara Del Rey in action against our own Divas’ Champion, Eve.” “Sara Del Rey, making no secret about her feelings on our WWE Divas, had this to say earlier today,” Josh said as we segue to pre-recorded comments made by Sara Del Rey earlier today on WWE.com. “You know,” Sara, on the tape, began, “I’ve been busting my ass, wrestling all around the world for almost a decade now. Meanwhile, WWE continues to hire on these untrained fashion models that’ve never done anything athletic in their lives, let alone compete at a level worthy of being a part of the biggest wrestling organization in the world. So, tonight, the WWE Universe is going to see what real women’s wrestling looks like, as I take your Divas’ Champion, and expose her as the stupid, spoiled slut she really is!” “Wow,” Cole said, reacting to the pre-tape. “Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!” “What do you mean, Cole?” Josh asked. “This Sara Del Rey has the gall to go and call our WWE Divas spoiled, yet, here she is, on national TV, complaining about how she’s not been given a fair shake,” Cole replied. “Well, she may have a point, Cole,” Josh said. “Most of our WWE Divas have never competed outside of the WWE. In fact, the majority of them have never even so much as stepped into a wrestling ring prior to joining WWE. So, to someone like Sara Del Rey, who sees these girls with no experience and no training being handed a spot with the biggest wrestling company in the world…” “Handed a spot?!” Cole shouted. “Yeah, Cole!” Josh shouted back. “And, maybe, Sara Del Rey is right!” “Well, if you ask me, Josh, I think Sara Del Rey is going to find out just what our WWE Divas are made of, here tonight!” Cole said, defending the Divas. Just then, Eve Torres came out to the cheers of the WWE Universe here in the Rupp Arena. “And here comes our Divas Champion, Eve,” Josh Matthews announced. “The WWE Universe, clearly behind Eve here tonight. I wonder what Sara Del Rey has to say about that,” Cole said, snidely. “I’m not sure Sara is even aware of the crowd at the moment, as her gaze has been somewhat permanently affixed to Eve ever since she came through the curtain,” Josh replied. “Well, if you ask me, I hope Eve goes in there and shows her that the WWE Divas are no one to mess with,” Cole added. “Are you serious?!” Josh asked as Eve made her way on to the ring apron. Sara Del Rey vs. Eve Torres Michael Cole: And… what’s this? Sara Del Rey, attacking Eve with a series of forearm shots as Eve tries to enter the ring. This match hasn’t even officially started yet, and already…! Josh Matthews: Sara Del Rey, knocking the Divas champ to the floor with a stiff knee. Michael Cole: The referee, now, checking on Eve, making sure she is okay to compete here. Josh Matthews: Meanwhile, Death Rey, standing dominant in the middle of the ring. What did I tell you, Cole? Michael Cole: Sara Del Rey, having proved nothing so far, other than the fact that she’s jealous of our WWE Divas. Josh Matthews: You know, Cole, Denial ain’t a just a river in Egypt. Michael Cole: And what? You really think the fact that Sara Del Rey attacked Eve before she could even get into the ring proves ANYTHING to these fans? Or, perhaps, you’re not hearing those loud Boos here in the Rupp Arena. Josh Matthews: Well, look at that! Eve’s on her feet, and it looks like this match is going to continue. Michael Cole: Continue? It hasn’t even started yet! Josh Matthews: And there’s the bell. Death Rey, immediately back on the attack, rushing at Eve, pounding her into the corner with those massive kicks. Michael Cole: Referee, trying to pull Del Rey off of Eve, but Del Rey, not taking too kindly to it. Josh Matthews: Eve, now, trying to make a comeback with a series of forearms. Eve with the irish whip, and nails a dropkick, right in Death Rey’s face! Michael Cole: Thata Girl! Show that Indy Bitch what you’re made of! Josh Matthews: Eve with the cover. 1… 2… and Death Rey kicks out. Michael Cole: Eve, back on the offense, trying to wear Del Rey down with a chin lock. But Del Rey, to her feet, overpowering Eve, dropping her to the mat with a big back suplex. Josh Matthews: Death Rey, to her feet, grabbing Eve as she tries to get up, and it looks like she’s got Eve set up for a fallaway slam Michael Cole: And… is she bridging the landing? Josh Matthews: Signature Death Rey, Cole. The bridging fallaway slam for the pin. 1… 2… but not enough to put Eve away. Michael Cole: Eve, showing this so-called ‘Death Rey’ what our WWE Divas are made of! Josh Matthews: Eve’s certainly not going down without a fight, I’ll give her that. But Death Rey now, with the stranglehold choke on Eve. Michael Cole: Del Rey, using Eve’s own arms to wrench on the neck, as she jams that knee right into Eve’s back. Josh Matthews: A variation of the Japanese Goku-Raku Gatame, Cole. Michael Cole: Eve, now, trying to fight out of the hold. Josh Matthews: Eve, certainly not ready to give up just yet, managing to power out of the hold, but Death Rey with the kick, pushing almost right through Eve’s chest, knocking her to the mat. Michael Cole: Del Rey, now taunting our Divas Champion, telling her to get up. But Eve, now, with a forearm, right in the face of Sara Del Rey Josh Matthews: Eve, to her feet, telling Death Rey to bring it on, and… ouch! A massive chop by Death Rey! Michael Cole: Eve, responding with one of her own, but Del Rey shakes it off. Josh Matthews: That chop, seeming to have virtually no affect on Death Rey whatsoever, nails Eve with another devastating chop. Michael Cole: Eve now, off the ropes, trying to get some momentum for next shot, but, no! The big rolling kick by Del Rey. What’d you call that thing again, Josh? Josh Matthews: The Capo Kick, Cole. Michael Cole: Del Rey, nailing the Capo Kick, and it looks like Eve is out. Del Rey, with the double underhook… Josh Matthews: It looks like Sara Del Rey is going for her patented Royal Butterfly. Michael Cole: Del Rey, lifting Eve into a butterfly lock, and now… Josh Matthews: Look at that power, Cole! Michael Cole: Del Rey, throwing Eve like she was a rag doll, with a huge underhook suplex, and the cover. 1… 2… 3. And that’s it. Sara Del Rey has just defeated our Divas Champion. Josh Matthews: What did I tell you, Cole? Michael Cole: The WWE Universe here in Lexington don’t sound too happy about this result, Josh. Josh Matthews: Well, they may just have to get used to it, Cole! Sara Del Rey, with perhaps the biggest win of here career to date, defeating the Divas Champion here on NXT! Winner: Sara Del Rey Michael Cole: Del Rey, now asking for a mic. “Lexington, Kentucky,” Sara Del Rey called out to the crowd here in the Rupp Arena. “Tonight, I just laid waste to one of your so-called ‘Divas Champion’. A rookie. A nobody. Some chick from off the street, who just showed up her two weeks ago on NXT, took out your World Women’s Champion in, what… 5 minutes? If that? Hell, half of you people here don’t even know my name yet, because you were too busy buying your concessions, going to the bathroom, and not giving a damn, and yet, here I am, victorious over one of this company’s champions. And you people here, you people who don’t even know me, have the gall to boo me when I come out here and prove to you, each and every one of you, that these Barbie Doll Divas can’t wrestle? Well, you know something, Lexington? I don’t care. I don’t care if you love me. I don’t care if you hate me. But you people here in Lexington, you people watching at home, and especially you, the so-called ‘WWE Pros’, will respect me, because I am the best, pound for pound female wrestler in the world today – Sara Del Rey!” With that, Sara drops the mic, and returns her attention to the fallen Divas Champion, Eve. As the fans in the Rupp Arena boo and jeer the victorious Death Rey, she grabs Eve by the hair and drags her up to her feet. “What the hell is she doing now?” Michael Cole asked. “Looks like Death Rey is setting Eve up for that devastating Spike Piledriver of hers,” Josh replied. “What’s this?” Cole shouts as Cheerleader Melissa comes running down towards the ring. “Eve’s rookie, Cheerleader Melissa, now, running towards the ring.” Melissa hits the ring, just as Del Rey has lifted Eve up to her shoulder, ready to deliver the Spike Piledriver. Melissa walks up to Sara slowly, trying to reason with Death Rey. “You’ve already made your point, Sara!” Melissa shouted. “Now, put her down and hit the showers!” “What are you? My mother?” Sara replied, defiant. “Please, Sara,” Melissa pleaded. “You’ve made your point. Let the girl go!” Sara laughed, then dropped Eve down on her head with the Spike Piledriver. Sara and Melissa stare down one another for a moment afterwards, almost daring the other to start something, then Sara rolls out of the ring, leaving Melissa to tend to a fallen Eve. “Unbelievable!” Cole shouted. “What the hell is wrong with these girls, Josh? If it’s not Portia Perez, running around like a spoiled brat, whining about how WWE’s not being fair to her, we have this Death Rey bullying our Divas!” “Well, Cole, you have to understand, in Death Rey’s mind, the WWE Divas are the very obstacle between her and WWE Stardom,” Josh explained. “It’s because of them, she believes, that its taken WWE this long to even notice her.” “Okay, so she’s jealous,” Cole said. “She does realize, though, that this attitude of hers, and attacks like this on our WWE Pros aren’t going to help her win here on NXT, doesn’t she?” “I’m not sure Death Rey cares about winning NXT, Cole,” Josh assessed. “I think Death Rey’s just here to prove that she’s better than our WWE Divas.” “Well, call me crazy, Josh,” Cole said, “but I don’t see what’s so great about a jealous bully who takes cheap shots on her opponents, then attacks them after the match!” As NXT goes to commercial, Sara Del Rey makes her way back through the curtain, where she is greeted by her pro, Maryse. The two scowl at each other for a moment, then Maryse holds up a piece of swimwear. “So, should I even bother giving these to you?” Maryse asked. “Or am I to assume that you’re ‘too good’ for bikini contests?” “Oh, yeah,” Sara replied, “because parading yourself around like a sex object is just so distinguished.” “You really think you’re better than us?” Maryse snapped. “You go around, acting like the world owes you something, and for what? Because you can beat people up? So what? This is WWE – World Wrestling Entertainment. People pay their money to come to these shows and be entertained, not screamed at by some self-righteous zealot! You want to go around beating up everyone, trying to prove how great a wrestler you are? Well, news flash, we already know that! Why the hell else do you think WWE brought you here? They told you they were looking for a wrestler, and instead of looking at this as an opportunity to finally make it in the company you so desperately want to be a part of, you’d rather go out there, beat people up, then scream at them because they don’t like you! You said out there that you want these people, and us, to respect you, right? Then maybe you should try earning it,” Maryse said, throwing the swimsuit in Sara’s face. “Bite me,” Sara said, storming off. Maryse just shook her head as Melissa and a woozy Eve hobbled through the curtain. “Well,” Eve said, looking her rival in the eye, “you look downright unhappy, Maryse. What? You mad that you’re rookie didn’t kill me out there?” “I…” Maryse said, seeming somewhat ashamed, unable to make eye contact with Eve. “I’m… sorry.” Maryse then makes a hasty retreat, leaving Melissa and Eve somewhat confused. “What was that for?” Melissa asked her pro. “I have no idea,” Eve said. Suddenly, Matt Striker came rushing towards Melissa, shouting, “Hurry up! We only have five minutes before the Challenge begins!” “I thought we had…” Melissa said, as Striker cut her off. “Commercial’s over,” Striker said. “Cole and Josh are doing the RAW recap now.” “Sh*t!” Melissa exclaimed, letting go of Eve, who drops to the floor. “Oh, Eve! I’m sorry!” “It’s okay,” Eve replied. “I’ll be all right. You go get ready.” “Thanks,” Melissa said, rushing off to the locker room. As she does so, Matt Striker rushes to the ring as members of the production staff help Eve to her feet. Meanwhile, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews run down the card for the upcoming Fatal 4Way PPV, as Striker makes it down to the ring. With a mic in his hand, Cole and Matthews hand the show off to the NXT Host, who now brings you tonight’s main attraction… “Ladies and Gentlemen,” Striker announced, “it is now time for our Immunity Challenge! Last week, we tested our Rookies’ strength, but tonight, we get to see the softer side of our NXT Divas. Tonight, we have ourselves a good, old fashioned…” Just then, the sounds of ‘The Great Gate of Kiev’ began to play, announcing the presence of WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry “The King” Lawler. As the fans in the Rupp Arena cheered the King, Matt Striker looked over to Cole and Matthews, asking them if they knew what was going on. Cole just shrugged at Striker as Jerry made his way into the ring. Jerry took some time to wave to the fans, allowing the WWE Universe to take pictures and whatnot, before approaching Matt Striker. “Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, what are you doing here?” Matt asked. Jerry, with his own mic in hand, said, “Well, Matt, I know that this NXT thing is your gig, but, looking down the run sheet, I noticed something that, well, seemed to require the experience of a more seasoned veteran. So, no offense, Matt, but I thought that, with what we have coming up, you may need a little help. The help of, well, an expert in the field, if you know what I mean.” “Well, Jerry, I think I do,” Matt smiled, “because tonight, we’re having an NXT Bikini Showdown!” “Woo hoo!” Jerry cheered. “Puppies!” “Haven’t heard that one in a while!” Cole smiled. “So, with no further ado, let’s welcome our NXT Rookies!” Striker said as the NXt Rookies made their way down to the ring, each wearing robes, and apparently little else. “Well, it appears that our rookies are a little nervous,” Cole said, noticing the discomfort, especially with MsChif, who could barely look beyond her own feet as she nervously walked to the ring in her green robe. “Well, most of these girls have never competed in a bikini contest before,” Josh said. “Where’s Sara Del Rey?” Cole asked, noticing that Death Rey was nowhere to be seen among the NXT Rookies. “I don’t know, Cole,” Josh said. “Maybe she’s running late?” “Or maybe she thinks she’s too good for bikini contests,” Cole snapped. “Well, you have to admit, this kind of stuff is demeaning,” Josh replied. “Objectifying women…” “Well, aren’t you just the big feminist, all of a sudden,” Cole mocked. “What?” Josh asked. “You wouldn’t find it equally as demeaning if Mr. McMahon made us compete in a bikini contest?” Matt Striker, overhearing this conversation, shouts to Cole, “I’d win, you know!” “Yeah, whatever, Striker!” Cole snapps. “Just because you have a package the size of Montana…” “Is that a hint of jealousy I detect there, Cole?” Josh asked, smiling. Cole changes the subject, saying, “Well, I do have to say, it’s a surprise seeing Amazing Kong out here.” “Why’s that, Cole?” Josh asked. “This is a bikini contest, Josh,” Cole replied. “You sure you want to see THAT in a bikini?” Back in the ring, Matt Striker lines up the NXT Rookies, also noticing that Sara Del Rey is missing. “Hey,” Lawler asked Matt, “aren’t there supposed to be 8 Rookies here?” “Yes, Jerry, there are,” Matt answered. “Any of you seen Sara Del Rey?” “Not since the match with Eve,” Melissa answered. MsChif, unable to look up, nervous as all heck, said, “I think she left.” Daizee Haze confirmed, saying, “Yeah, she bailed. Said she already had her immunity, so…” “Okay, then,” Matt said, addressing the crowd in the Rupp Arena, as well as the viewers at home. “Seems as if Sara Del Rey will not be joining us here tonight, but that’s okay! We still have 7 of our NXT Rookies here, ready to show you their Sexy side!” “Oh God,” MsChif gasped. “My mother is watching this.” “And LuFisto, too,” Daizee smiled, devilishly. MsChif screamed, shaking Matt Striker and Jerry Lawler out of their skin. “Well,” Striker said, still not used to the loud fury of MsChif’s signature call, “I guess we’ll start with you, MsChif!” “What?” MsChif said, as the remaining color in her face drained to the palest possible tone. Her face, telling the tale of a woman scared beyond belief. “Well, come on!” Jerry said, impatiently. “Let’s see those puppies!” MsChif nervously walked up to center stage, as the lights went low and a spotlight shown upon her. Sexy music began to play, and MsChif looked out upon the thousands of eyes, staring at her, waiting for her to reveal what she had hiding under her robe. “We don’t have all day, honey!” Jerry Lawler provoked. “You going to show us what you got or what?” Just then, something snapped in MsChif, and a rage boiled to the surface, overtaking her. She kicked Jerry Lawler in the gut, hooked him in a front facelock, then hooked Jerry’s arm with her leg. She then screams bloody murder as she drives Jerry head first to the mat. “What the hell was that?” Cole asked. “I believe she calls that the Desecrator, Cole,” Josh Matthews answered. “Well, whatever it’s called, she just took out Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler with it!” Cole shouted. Matt Striker, not knowing what to do, moves towards MsChif, who then snaps towards him, screaming, “DON’T TOUCH ME!!!” Striker backs off, scared out of his mind, not knowing how to handle the mad woman sitting on the ground before him. Meanwhile, WWE officials come down to the ring to help a dazed Jerry Lawler to the back. Melissa, having seen this side of MsChif many times before over the years, slowly approaches the young woman, and says, “You okay?” MsChif, looking up at Melissa with a hopeless expression, says, “I can’t do it, Liss.” “No one’s making you, Chif,” Melissa responded, calmly. “Yeah, they are,” MsChif said, looking for a moment at Daizee Haze, who, for some reason, continued to smile devilishly at MsChif, as if she were mocking her. Melissa looked over and noticed it as well, shooting a disapproving look at Daizee before turning back to MsChif. “You don’t worry about her, all right?” Melissa said. “I’ll take care of it. As for the Pros… I’m sure they’ll understand. You’re nervous, and…” MsChif laughed, then gave Melissa an evil look, a look she hadn’t seen in MsChif since they feuded in SHIMMER all those years ago, “Wow. You really don’t get it, do you, Liss?” MsChif then rolled out of the ring and walked away, leaving the other rookies, and Matt Striker, behind. Matt Striker, not sure what to do next, looked to Melissa, and asked her, “You want to go next?” “All right,” Melissa said, shedding her robe to show off a red and black, two-piece swimsuit with boy-cut shorts and a triangle top. “Nice,” Matt smiled, impressed. Melissa smiled back, which, for some reason, infuriates Rain, who pushes Melissa out of the way. “Hi, Matt,” Rain says, flirting with the NXT Host. “What the hell?” Melissa reacts, making her way back to the line. On her way, she asks Kong, “What the hell is that about?” “Seems Rain’s got a thing for Teacher,” Kong replies. “At least, she has ever since Lacey and Jetta got kicked off.” “Seriously?” Melissa asks. “Poor bastard. Does he even realize she’s just using him?” “Oh, I think he knows,” Kong says. “He just don’t care.” “Well, Rain,” Matt said. “You’re next. Let’s show the WWE Universe what the Minnesota Home-Wrecker’s got to offer.” Rain then sheds her robe to reveal a blue string bikini. “Well, it’s all downhill from here,” Portia Perez quipped. “We got Mall Hair, Fat Ass, and the A-Cups…” “Hey!” Kellie Skater shouted. “What about you? You look like you just started puberty!” “Like I said…” Portia sighed, rolling her eyes. “Next up, we have Daizee Haze!” Matt Striker announced. As Daizee made her way to center stage, Melissa asked her, “Hey, what’s with you and Chif lately?” “What are you talking about?” Daizee asked. “Just now, when she was freaking out,” Melissa asked. “And you were making faces at her.” “I wasn’t making faces at her,” Daizee replied. “I saw you, Daizee,” Melissa said, calling Haze out on her lie. “Don’t tell me you aren’t playing with MsChif’s head.” “Hey, it’s a competition, Liss,” Daizee said, walking up to the spotlight. “If Chif can’t handle it, maybe she should just go home!” “All right, Daizee,” Matt Striker said. “Let’s see what you got.” Daizee drops her robe to reveal a colorful, single piece swimsuit, apparently hand-made, with a skirted bottom. “Wow, Daze,” Matt said. “I’m impressed. Serena picked this out for you?” “Sadly, no, Matt,” Daizee said. “Serena decided early on that she didn’t want to see the Haze succeed here on NXT. Unfortunately, for her, and all the other girls here, Daizee Haze came here to win. And if that means I have to make my own way here on NXT, then so be it!” “Well, I do have to say, it looks good on you,” Matt complimented. “Thank you, Matt,” Daizee smiled before taking her place back among the other rookies. Once there, Rain gives her a dirty look. Daizee replied, mockingly, “Aw, I’m sorry, Rain. Did I get to close to your meal ticket?” Matt Striker continued by introducing the next contestant, “Portia Perez, come on down! What do you have to show the WWE Universe?” Portia Perez takes center stage, dropping her robe to reveal the pink bikini Jillian had given MsChif earlier that day. “Not much, apparently,” Michael Cole said snidely from the commentary booth. “Careful, Cole,” Josh said, mockingly. “If she hears you, she might send Nicole Matthews to PMS on you!” “Wow, Josh,” Cole said. “That was pretty mean.” “Well, hey,” Josh replied, “after what they’ve been doing to Natalya and the WWE Universe over the course of this show so far, I think it’s only fair.” “Welcome to the Dark Side, Josh,” Cole smiled. “Up next,” Matt Striker continued, “we have Kellie Skater. Kellie?” Kellie walks up to center stage and sheds he robe to reveal a black, one-piece swimsuit with silver studs and chains around the bust and waistline. “Nice. Real alternative look you’re rocking there.” “Yeah, you wish, wanker!” Kellie said, scoffing off Matt’s compliments as she rejoined the others. “Like you’re even in my league…” “She’s obviously never seen Matt in a speedo,” Josh quipped. “Or she has taste,” Cole said, snidely. “You’re just jealous, Cole,” Josh replied. “Yeah, sure…” Cole said, rolling his eyes. “And finally,” Matt began. “Here we go,” Cole sighed, dreading the final contestant. “Amazing Kong!” Matt finished. As Kong walked up towards Striker, the world sat in a sort of frightened awe. After all, Kong wasn’t usually the type of woman people see in a bikini contest, and no one was quite sure what was going to happen next. “Matt,” she said, holding her hand out, “May I?” Striker, assuming she wants to address the WWE Universe, hands her the mic. “Thank you, Matt,” Kong said. She then looked directly into the hard camera and said, “Now I know what some of you out there may be thinking, but, believe me, you’re going want to see this. So set your DVRs and call your friends, because this, my friends, may be the only time you ever see this in America. Now, HIT MY MUSIC!” Just then, the sound of Kurupt’s “Who Ride Wit Us” begins to play in the Rupp Arena. “What the hell?” Cole asked. “I believe this is Kong’s entrance them from SHIMMER,” Josh replied. As the beat drops and the song bumps throughout the arena, Kong drops her robe to reveal a neon yellow one-piece swimsuit with a skirt bottom and a white sash tied across her waist. Kong then busts a hardcore move, dancing around the ring to the beat. “What the hell is this, Josh?” Michael Cole said as his jaw literally dropped. “It looks like Kong’s bringing a bit of HUSTLE flavor to NXT,” Josh said. “What are you talking about, Josh?” Cole asked. “Well, while working in Japan, Kong was a part of a promotion known as HUSTLE, which, I guess you could say, is actually sort of a parody of Sports Entertainment here in America. Anyway, while there, she adopted a persona known as ‘Margaret’, and, believe me, Cole, right now, you’re not seeing the Amazing Kong in that ring, you’re seeing Margaret!” As Kong busts her move, it appears that the crowd in Lexington is actually getting into the routine. Even Matt Striker gets in on the action, as he and Kong begin to dance together to the approval of the Lexington crowd. Meanwhile, as Melissa and Daizee seem to be getting into the routine as well, Rain scowls at Kong menacingly, while Portia Perez mirrors Michael Cole’s reaction of ‘what the hell is this crap?’ Kellie Skater, on the other hand, seems to be impressed, but tries to downplay it, in her mind, to maintain her image. As the music winds down, Matt Striker calls out to Lexington, saying, “Amazing Kong, ladies and gentlemen!” Once Kong takes he place back among the other NXT Rookies, Matt says to the crowd, “All right. Now, it’s up to you, Lexington, Kentucky. Your applause will tell us who you think should be the winner here tonight. First, we’ll start with Cheerleader Melissa!” Melissa steps forward, receiving a decent crowd reaction. “Next, Daizee Haze!” As Haze steps forward, she receives a more modest reaction. Haze seems disturbed by this as she steps back. “Now, Kellie Skater!” Skater steps forward and actually gets a better reaction than Melissa, which no one in the line seems to expect, including Skater. She seemingly breaks character for a moment, smiling like a child who had just been complimented by their hero, before composing herself back into the ‘hardcore skater’ image she puts out to seem tough. “And now, Portia Perez!” Portia steps up, and the crowd boos. Heavily. So much so that Portia starts stamping around and screaming at the audience. A small chant of ‘Portia needs a time out’ even breaks out among some in the crowd before Matt moves on. “Next, we have the Radiant Rain,” Matt announces, seeming to favor the Minnesota Home-Wrecker. As Rain steps forward, she receives the best reaction of all, thus far. “And, finally, the Amazing Kong!” As Kong steps forward, the crowd in Lexington are going absolutely crazy. Even Kong seems shocked by the sheer love she’s receiving from the crowd. “Well, now,” Matt says. “I think we’ve got this narrowed down to 2 of you, so Rain and Kong, I’ll need you two to stay here, while we say goodbye to the rest of our Rookies here tonight.” With that, Melissa, Portia, Kellie, and Daizee all head towards the back, leaving Rain and Kong in the ring alone with Matt Striker. “All right, Lexington. It’s decision time. Who do you want to win immunity here tonight? Is it Rain?” The crowd cheers emphatically for the Minnesota Home-Wrecker as she poses for the crowd. “Or is it the Amazing Kong?” As soon as he said it, the building nearly shook with applause. Soon, ‘Kong’ chants started ringing out, leaving little question over who the Lexington fans wanted to see win tonight’s challenge. “I believe we have a winner – Amazing Kong! You have won tonight’s challenge, and along with that, you will now have immunity from elimination at our next Pro’s Poll!” “You have got to be kidding me,” Michael Cole said, shocked by the results. “Well, tonight’s challenge was to gauge our rookies’ confidence, as well as their ability to appeal to our fans, and, which Kong has done in spades here tonight on NXT! She certainly doesn’t lack in confidence, and the fans, Cole? They love her!” Josh Matthews said. As Kong stepped forward to celebrate her victory with the fans in Lexington, Rain started screaming at Matt Striker, frustrated. Matt tries to explain t her that it was the fans, not him, that gave Kong the win, but Rain marches off, furious, leaving Matt in the ring with the victorious Kong. “Wait… what’s this?” Michael Cole shouts as the same hooded ninja who attacked Natalya last week has now slid into the ring and nailed Amazing Kong in the back of the head with a hockey stick, breaking the stick over her head and dropping the monster like timber. “It’s Nicole Matthews! How the hell did she get past security?” “Nicole Matthews, now, wailing on Kong mercilessly with the remains of that hockey stick,” Josh added. “Wait,” Cole said, listening to the message being sent to him over his earphones from the production staff in the back. “I’m getting word that Portia Perez and Natalya are, once again, going at it in the back! We’re trying to get a camera on the scene as we speak…” “You’re kidding me, right?” Josh said. “Kong just won immunity here, and the Canadian Ninjas have to come out and take this moment away from her?” “Seems that’s how these girls like to work, Josh,” Cole sighed. As security dove into the ring to try and stop Nicole Matthews’ assault on Kong, a camera arrives on the scene of the latest Portia/Natalya scuffle, as security and WWE officials have just stepped in to break up the ruckus. Soon, Stephanie McMahon walks into the scene, irate, and ready to tear someone’s head off. “Hey, you!” Stephanie shouts to the camera man. “Get that shot on me. And make sure they put me on the tron, because I want that Nicole Matthews girl to hear this, too!” As this goes on, Stephanie is now shown on the Titantron, as Nicole looks up, surrounded by security. Meanwhile, Stephanie shouts at Natalya to calm down, which she does, backing away a few steps. Meanwhile, Portia has to be literally held down by WWE Officials, kicking and screaming at Natalya and Stephanie McMahon. “Shut up, you little brat, before I have you thrown off this show for good!” Stephanie shouts at Portia. The threat of being kicked off the show entirely seems to be enough to calm Portia down, for the moment. Stephanie then faces the camera and addresses the crowd, and Nicole Matthews, in the Rupp Arena. “Nicole Matthews,” Stephanie began, “since you can’t seem to go one week without trying to interfere with our competition here on NXT, I’m going to cut you a deal. Since you so desperately want to be back on here with your BFF and all, I’m going to give you an opportunity to earn your way back into NXT. Next week, you and Portia Perez will face off in tag team action. If you win, I let you back on to the show, and the Canadian Ninjas will be allowed to compete here on NXT as a team for a chance to win a guaranteed contract with WWE. However, if you lose, both you AND Portia Perez, here, will be eliminated from NXT, for good! That sound good to you, Nicole?” At that moment, a member of the security team is handed a microphone, and told to give it to Nicole. Once in hand, Nicole responds, “Yeah. That sounds good. Who’s our opponents?” “Your opponents? Good question,” Stephanie smiled. “Next week, the Canadian Ninjas will face off against Natalya…” Stephanie pauses as the crowd in Lexington cheers. “And the AMAZING KONG!!!” At that moment, Nicole Matthews is ambushed by an angry Kong, who nails her with a spinning back fist, then finishes the job with a massive Amazing Bomb to the approval of the Lexington fans. “You heard it, folks!” Michael Cole shouted. “Next week – the Canadian Ninjas vs. Natalya and Amazing Kong!” “If they win, Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews now have the opportunity to compete here on NXT as a team,” Josh added. “But if not, the Canadian Ninjas will be eliminated from NXT for good!” “I’m not sure I like the Ninjas’ chances next week, but stranger things have happened so far on NXt this season, so who knows? Maybe we could end up with our first ever tag team winners of NXT!” Cole continued. “And with the Women’s Title currently being co-held by Layla and Michelle McCool, it’s not like there isn’t a precedent for two women to compete for, and hold, championship gold here in the WWE,” Josh added. “That’s very true! Well folks, that’s all we have tonight for NXT! Tune in next week to find out whether or not this will be the last we see of the Canadian Ninjas here in WWE!” Cole said, closing out the show. blog comments powered by Disqus
