VIDEO: Hype video for tonight's Judgment Day show. 1. JBL vs. John Cena: Both men circle the ring, sizing each other up. Collar and elbow tie up with Cena forcing JBL into the corner. Clean break by Cena. The two circle again. Another lockup with Cena getting a go behind waistlock, turning it into a side headlock. JBL presses Cena into the corner, forcing a break for the headlock. Clean break by Cena. Cena looks surprised at JBL's conduct. JBL catches Cena with a couple kicks to the gut and applies a side headlock of his own. Cena whips JBL into the ropes but gets kicked in the head on the way back. JBL is surprised off the ropes as Cena catches him with a drop toehold. STFU attempt but JBL bails out of the ring. JBL surprises Cena from outside the ring and goes on the offense, getting back into the ring and whipping Cena into the corner. Cena's shoulder strikes the steel post and JBL is quick to capitalize on the weakened body part, stomping away before applying a hammerlock to Cena's sore shoulder. JBL then locks up Cena's arm by applying a leglock. However in an amazing feat of strength, Cena lifts JBL up and slams his way free. The match soon breaks down into a brawl with Cena clotheslining JBL then hitting him with a shoulderbutt (Maybe not a good idea given his shoulder). Cena goes to the top ropes and goes for the flying legdrop on JBL. However JBL manages to roll out of the way and Cena lands hard. JBL goes to work on a fallen Cena, kicking him repeatedly and nearly knocking him out of the ring. Cena and JBL grapple on the edge of the ring with both men trying to suplex each other. JBL blocks a Cena suplex attempt and counters by suplexing Cena on the ropes. JBL then charges into a dazed Cena, knocking him off the mat apron. JBL brawls briefly with Cena outside the ring before throwing him back in and going for a cover. Two count on Cena. More brawling by JBL followed by another unsuccessful cover. As Cena tries to regroup, JBL applies a bearhug. The move begins to take effect as Cena crumbles to the mat. The bearhug can quickly rob a wrestler of their strength and endurance and Cena is finding this out firsthand. JBL lets Cena out of the bearhug but he goes back to work on Cena's ribs by applying a bodyscissors. Cena continues to weaken but he isn't quite done yet. JBL applies a full nelson while he has Cena in a body scissors but Cena rises to his feet, freeing himself of the body scissors. However JBL has managed to keep the full nelson on. Not for long though as Cena uses his powerful upper body strength to escape the hold. Free of the full nelson, Cena goes for the FU but he collapses to the mat, no doubt sore from the tremendous punishment his shoulder has sustained. JBL goes back to the body scissors but once again, Cena picks JBL up, this time slamming JBL's back onto the mat. Both men are down as the referee makes the ten count. JBL gets up, beating the count but Cena is quick to the punch and begins brawling with JBL. When Cena charges JBL in the corner, JBL side steps him and Cena crashes into the ring corner hard. JBL lands a big boot, flooring Cena. Cena looks like he may be unconciousness after JBL hits a short clothesline. JBL picks up Cena and goes for a short arm clothesline but Cena ducks (was he playing possum?). Cena picks up a surprised JBL and hits the FU, getting the 1-2-3.
WINNER: John Cena (by pinfall).
JBL walks up the ramp, still in shock that Cena stole a victory. Back in the ring, Cena is still getting to his feet. Up in one of the arena's luxury suites, "King" William Regal watches the match. ECW announcers Mike Adamle and Tazz hype tonight's WWE Tag Team Championship match between champions John Morrison & Miz and ECW champion Kane & CM Punk. VIDEO: Highlights from "The Dirt Sheet" with Miz & John Morrison. VIDEO: Highlights from last Tuesday's edition of ECW where the tag team champions laid out Kane and CM Punk. 2. WWE Tag Team Championship Match: John Morrison & the Miz (Champions) vs. CM Punk & ECW World Champion Kane: Morrison and Miz look pretty confident before the bell rings but they're going to have their work cut out for them tonight, despite their success against Punk and Kane last Tuesday. CM Punk applies a side headlock to Miz before Miz throws him in the ropes. Shoulderblock by Punk knocks Miz down. Kick to Miz and Punk follows up with a suplex. Miz is forced into the corner and Punk tags in Kane. Miz whips Kane into the ropes and knocks him down. Kane applies a reverse hammerlock, manhandling Miz. However Miz catches Kane when he charges him in the corner and makes the tag to Morrison. Morrison doesn't fare too well as Kane hits a low dropkick to Morrison. Tag to Punk. Kane applies a shoulderbreaker and Punk drops an elbow on Morrison (nice double team). Punk locks Morrison in the corner with what may be a modified Tarantula. Good chain wrestling as Punk applies a body scissors and headlock to Morrison. Morrison kicks away at Punk and makes the tag to Miz. Double team by the champions floors Punk, allowing him to apply a rear headlock. Right hand by CM Punk floors Miz and Kane runs in, throwing Miz around the ring. Sidewalk slam on Miz. Kane hits the flying clothesline, knocking Miz down. However Miz makes the blind tag and as Kane tries a chokeslam on Miz, Morrison blindsides him. Curiously, Morrison's brawling tactics seem to be effective on Kane. Quick tag to Miz followed by another. Miz and Morrison are using quick tags to stay fresh and keep Kane at bay. Kane catches Miz with a big boot though and he makes the tag to Punk. Morrison is tagged in and Punk takes him down with his martial arts kcks followed with a powerslam. Running kneelift to Morrison. Impressive move by Punk as he bulldogs Morrison and clotheslines Miz at the same time. Springboard clothesline to Morison as Punk goes for the covwer. Nearfall. Punk goes for the GTS but Miz stops him from outside the ring. Kane goes out after Miz and chokeslams him on the floor. Distracted by the action outside the ring, Punk is caught offguard as Morrison surprises him with a kick to the gut then hits the rolling neckbreaker. WINNERS: Miz & John Morrison (Morrison pins Punk). VIDEO: Hype video for the Rambo DVD. VIDEO: Hype video for tonight's Shawn Michaels/Chris Jericho bout. 3. Inter-Continental Champion Chris Jericho vs. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels (Non-title bout): Before the match, Jim Ross reminds the fans that both HBK and Y2J are WWE "Grand Slam" champions i.e. they have held every major WWE title. Michaels applies the headlock, trying another pin. Jericho grabs Michael's leg as he gets to his feet. Series of pin attempts by both men but neither man can get the two count. It's a battle of bridges as HBK and Jericho go for more pinfalls. Michaels ties up Jericho and locks the inverted figure four on Jericho. Jericho is stuck in the center of the ring. It's early in the match but that's the kind of hold that can end a match no matter when it's applied. However Jericho knows his way around the ring and he rolls to the ropes, forcing a break. Both men get to their feet as Jericho begins jawing away at Michaels. Jericho kicks Michaels and Michaels responds with a slap to the face. This enrages Jericho who brawls with Michaels in the corner until the referee forces a break. Michaels gives a smirk as he sees Jericho has lost his cool. Hammerlock on Jericho but Y2J escapes by elbowing Michaels in the face. Irish whip sends Michaels into the corner but when Jericho charges, he's caught in the face with an elbowsmash. Michaels locks Jericho up in the ropes and goes to work on Jericho. HBK slugs away at Jericho's shoulder in the corner. Y2J reverses an Irish whip and Michaels flies into the corner, the momentum sending him into a backflip. Jericho takes Michaels and puts him on the ropes. Looks like Jericho is going for a superplex but Mcihaels knocks him down. Michaels sets Jericho up for an elbowdrop but Jericho runs up to the ropes, trying to knock Michaels off again. Once again, HBK stops Jericho, sending him off of the ropes. With Jericho down, Michaels flies off the ropes with the flying elbowsmash but a cagey Jericho lifts his knees, catching Michaels' ribs. Jericho wastes no time going after Michaels' ribs, kicking away at them and hitting a suplex to soften them up further. Michaels goes for the abdominal stretch on Michaels, with the hold locked in in the center of the ring. With Michaels locked in the painful hold, Jericho adds more damage by banging his right hand into Michaels' ribs. Perhaps trying to get a better grip, Michaels is let out of the hold and Michaels catches Y2J with an inverted atomic drop. However one miscue is all Jericho needs to apply The Walls of Jericho. Michaels makes his way to the ropes and forces a break. Y2J tries the Lionsault but sees Michaels ready to counter. Y2J hops over the rope and charges Michaels on the mat apron only to walk into a superkick. Jericho falls off the mat apron as the referee begins the ten count. However Michaels grabs Jericho and throws him in the ring before the ten count, covering Jericho for a nearfall. After Jercho kicks out, Michaels climbs to the top ropes and hits Y2J with the flying elbowsmash. Michaels took some damage landing that move though and he's slow to get up from it. When he does, he slowly walks to the corner and begins to "tune up the band" for some "Sweet Chin Music". Jericho goes to get to his feet but falls to the mat, stopping Michaels. Michaels waits for Jericho to get up and Jericho rises to his feet, falling down again. Michaels tries to assess the situation as he's not sure what Jericho's condition is. Jericho gets to his feet and avoids the superkick, hitting the Codebreaker on Michaels. Cover on Michaels but HBK manages to kick out. Both men look like they're running on fumes but HBK manages to catch Jericho with the crossface. Jericho somehow makes his way to the ropes, fighting his way past the pain and forcing a break. Michaels tries another crossface but Jericho rolls out of the hold and suplexes Michaels rib-first onto the ropes. Michaels clutches at his ribs as Jericho sets him up for the Lionsault. However Michaels raises his legs. Jericho manages to avoid them and applies the Walls of Jericho. However Michaels counters and rolls Jericho up, getting the pinfall win. WINNER: Shawn Michaels (by pinfall). After the match, Jericho extends his hand to Michaels. Michaels takes his time as he approaches Jericho. Handshake by both men as Jericho claps for Michaels. Tremendous show of respect by Jericho for Michaels. RAW General Manager William Regal is seen once again watching the action. VIDEO: Hype video for June's PPV One Night Stand.
