Well, people, I'm here for your coverage of Summerfest. And indeed, here's your results: John Morrison & The Miz def. Tommy Dreamer & Stevie Richards Funaki def. Chavo Guerrero Eve Torres & Jimmy Wang Yang def. Carlito & Maryse That said, this live show, entitled "Summerfest" took place on August 9th 2008, and featured, amongst the wrestling, some live bands and autograph signing. So anyway, with Summerfest done, that's all from me. Good night all! Well folks, it seems as though I may have gotten some wires crossed, and Jamsie G wanted me to cover SummerSLAM. Apparently, there's a show called that on tonight. Can't say I knew. Suffice to say though, I've found a channel that I can watch this Summerslam thing on, so I'll describe whatever happens on that show. Just as a note, the program we use to enter and/or update is running slower than everyone else in a race with Usain Bolt tonight, so apologies up front if updates aren't as thick or fast as you may be used to, or if stuff I've spent 10 minutes typing doesn't actually appear because the thing crapped out on me. Anyway, I'll be back when this mystery show begins at what is allegedly 8pm. As far as I'm concerned it's 1am. You Americans and your wacky time differences... Here we go! Our video starts by telling us the card as part of a movie, but DX's hands appear in shilloette as they f**k about with shadow puppets. HBK's Abe Lincoln is awesome, by the way... They have the film stop on Legacy, with HHH saying he remembers them from the Kiss Cam. Shawn then proceeds to bugger up the film. They appear on camera lamenting their screw up. HBK said he used to be a TV repair man. It kicks in again with a DX releated video...until it breaks again... HBK said he only had the TV job for 2 weeks. But HHH said they got their message. HBK wondered what it was. It, of course was, WE'RE BACK! And that was that. I will admit I enjoyed it. We hit the arena for the pyro and oddly sparse set. S'alright, but I expected something a little more special.. Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler in a "I wonder if Rey considers this to have been a long enough run, or will he get pissy again???" match for the Intercontinental Title Rey makes his way out first. Rey Rey's in yellow and purple tonight, and he's sporting long gloves in a nice, but different, touch. We see Todd & JR as they talked about how well the pair matches up. Ziggler was next out, and he was alone, so a Maria heel turn doesn't seem to be on here. Ziggler goes right for Rey in the corner, but Rey comes back with shots. Powerslam by Ziggler scores a quick 2 as does a roll up. Ziggler needs to be back up out the corner, but he hit a shoulder to the gut. A whip is reversed and Mysterio scores with a moonsault for a 2 count. Ziggler charges, but is low bridged out. Rey hits a headscissors on the floor into the guard rail and cameraman. Back in the ring and up top, Rey knocks Dolph down and looks for a senton, but Ziggler just managed to catch him and powerbomb him into the corner. Ziggler with a chinlock, working his weight well. Rey got up and out of it with elbows, but Ziggler hit a side slam for a 2 count. Rey backs into the corner, but Ziggler pulls him out and hits the leaping elbow drop for a 2 count before putting the chinlock back on. He locked in a bodyscissors while stretching Rey out. Mysterio punched his way out of that and blocked a whip into the corner and avoided a Ziggler charge. However, Rey ran into a clothesline for a close 2 count. Ziggler hit a gutbuster off the knee for another 2 count. Back to the chinlock with bodyscissors as Grisham said that a prayer a fan sent Rey was now tattooed on his side. That boy loves his ink... Mysterio got out and he avoided a corner charge by Ziggler. Springboard seated senton by Rey, was followed by a kick to the face of a seated Dolph after Rey countered a sunset flip. Ziggler countered a crossbody into a dropkick for another close 2 count. Rey flaoted over another charge and got a roll up of sorts, but Ziggler sat down on it for a CLOSE 2 count. Dolph hit a big clothesline for about his 638956th 2 count of the match. Rey flipped out a back suplex and hit an enziguri, putting him in 619 position, but Ziggler slipped out and swept the leg before hitting a Fameasser for another CLOSE deuce. Whip across by Ziggler sees Rey block the charge and get a sunset flip for a close 2 count of his own. Mysterio countered a slam with a DDT for another 2 count.Rey kicks Ziggler into 619 position again and gets it this time. However the splash missed when Ziggler sat up and Ziggler made a pin for, you guessed it, a two count. Ziggler started screaming in frustration. A Ziggler chant actually got started as he punched Rey in the corner. Rey knocked Dolph back, but Ziggler hit a boot to the head. Ziggler got Rey on his shoulders on top, but Rey turned it into a Hurricanrana for the three count! WINNER & STILL IC CHAMPION - REY MYSTERIO Wow. That was some non-stop match. Literally Total Non-Stop Action, only in WWE... We cut backstage to Josh Matthews, as he was joined by Jack Swagger AND MVP. Matthews said some thought their match was a culture clash. Swagger jumped in to put over hsi skills and how he was a WWE Champion in wiaiting. However, MVP was an ex-con. He might have some talent, but he was a stepping stone for Swagger. MVP was agog. He said he wished that he had a rich childhood and he made some bad choices, but he paid for his sins. MVP said when Swagger won his title, he got a trophy but MVP's prize was living. And tonight Swagger's lesson wouldn't be taught by an ex-con, it'd be taught by a MVP. Lawler & Cole talked about how important thsi match was for both guys. MVP vs. Jack Swagger in a "You know...they did need an 8th match..." match Swagger was out first as Cole put over the foriegn places the show was airing. Montel Vontavious Porter followed, with Cole saying that MVP spent a lot of time working with youth groups about not making the mistakes he did. Lawler kinda took Swagger view of things. MVP got a sunset flip, but Swagger rolled out. MVP floated over a corner charge and he hit a clothesline followed by a side slam. MVP went for BALLIN'~!, but Swagger slipped out the ring. MVP thusly decided to pescado out onto him. Back in, MVP scored a 2 count. MVP went up, but Swagger pulled him off by the leg, MVP landing on his head. Swagger then dumped MVP in the corner, beforegoing to work on the lower back & kidneys of Porter. MVP scored a back elbow, but Swagger ducked under another shot and put on an abdominal stretch. MVP tried to rally up and he eventually managed to break the hold, but Swagger hit a short clothesline for a pair of 2 counts before MVP could get going. Swagger locked in a camel clutch. However, MVP managed to get up and out of the hold putting both men down, although MVP crawled over for a 2 count. Slugfest was won by MVP, who followed with the facebuster off the knee. This time he hit the BALLIN'~! elbow drop for a 2 count. MVP looked to finish, but Swagger pushed off and rolled MVP up with tights for 2. MVP was rammed hard into the corner, allowing Swagger to go for the Vader Bomb, but he met knees. MVP hit the Yakuza kick and then the Playmaker for the three count! WINNER - MVP Not bad, but not great. Don't try this at home. Or at school. But if you're in a wrestling ring, I suppose you should be able to go nuts. If not, then why are the wrestlers allowed to do it in there? Celebrity spotting time at ringside. Sideshow Luke Perry with his wife & kid. And speaking of celebrities, let's do a little self-congratulation for the press they've had for the guys they've had so far. Justin Roberts introduced Nancy O'Dell from Access Hollywood who pimped out her charity amid some boos. She brought in Freddie Prinze Jr. who noted his hurting at the hands of Orton last week. Prinze said he'd be back and while not threatening Orton, he'd be back when Randy least expected it. He also said he looked forward to Cena winning. Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme in a "Who'd have thunk this was the first feud built towards for this show..." match for the Unified tag Team Titles Well, they've FINALLY gotten around to giving these guys a proper combined theme based around something of a new song, or at least a re-recording of it. HALLELUJAH! Big Show is also out of the blue and into some dark purple and black. Jericho got on the mic and denounced the stars being there as they were just as much hypocrites as everyone else, before putting themselves over. They were indeed the most famous pair in the building. They had held over 40 titles between them. Their greatness was cemented forever. He was the best in the world at what he did and Big Show was a destroyer, which meant he was better than everyone. And he had something to say... And what Big Show had to say was that...Cryme Tyme were coming out... Luckily enough, Cryme Tyme came out just as he was about to say it. JR noted that Cryme Tyme were after thier first titles, mentioning the Legion Of Doom won their first WWE Titles at Summerslam 1991. JTG and Jericho started off. JTG hit a flying back elbow and really nice flying blockbuster (but from the front) for a quick count. JTG reversed a whip, btu Jericho caught him and looked for the Walls Of Jericho, but when JTG wouldn't turn, he catapulted JTG into the corner. However, JTG caught himself in the corner and dived off for a 2 count. Jericho got a cheap shot in and tagged in Big Show. Big Show stood on JTG's foot to stop from from tagging. Big chop in the corner. Big Show squeezed on a side headlock. In the corner for another chop. However JTG blocked a charge and tagged in Shad. Shad looked to knock Show down, but couldn't and was whipped into the corner. Shad moved though and Big Show crashed into it. Jericho came in but was press slammed by Shad. Big Show however speared him afterwards. Shad was tagged in the chest in the corner before Jericho was tagged in to take some shots. However, Jericho ran into a big boot by Shad. However, Jericho was sent towards JTG so he kicked JTG off the apron. Big Show back in, and he locked in a Full Nelson that Chris Masters would be proud of. Shad tried to get back up and break it, but before he did, Big Show dumped him down and tagged in Jericho. He missed an elbow drop though. Jericho cut off the tag and locked in a cobra clutch. Jericho let go of the hold and was caught with a powerslam, putting both men down. JTG managed to get the tag and he went to work on Jericho, hitting the MugShot out of the corner. He stungunned Big Show on the rope rope before getting a cover on Jericho, but Big Show broke it up. Shad took Big Show over the top while JTG scored a close 2 count on a rollup. Jericho caught JTG in the Walls Of Jericho. However, JTG refused to tap out and crawled over to grab the bottom rope. However, waiting for him there was Big Show, who hit the KO Punch to let Jericho pick up the win. WINNERS & STILL CHAMPIONS - CHRIS JERICHO & BIG SHOW JR noted that Big Show was still undefeated at Summerslam. I'm guessing it's not excactly a streak that rivals Taker's though... Breaking Point advert, confirming the main events are Submission matches, featuring a bunch of guys saying they don't have a breaking point. Josh was joined by CM Punk. He said that he'd love to talk about his match, but there was something this. He held up a manuscript about the Jeff Hardy story. It ends with Jeff conquering his demons and beating Punk there tonight. But it was an idea that was as fake as everyone in the building. But it wasn't just a LA thing, but world wide, with people admiring the shallowest of people. But it didn't matter as long as it was cool, right? They don'#t make movies about people like Punk because he doesn't support their den of inequity. He would be re-=writing the Jeff Hardy story, and it might get graphic, but it would have a new ending. Him as champion. The Great Khali vs. Kane in a "Now, if Runjin is supposed to be Khali's brother, how likely is it, as per standard booking, that Singh turns on Khali here???" match Kane headed out first, as JR noted that he was also on a 4 match streak at Summerslam. Khali was out next and he had Runjin Singh with him, dancing like the loon he usually is. it did give us the chance to see a hot girl dancing some bhangra. Kane circled round Khali, but was caught in the corner, forcing the ref to get to a 4 count. However, Kane caught Khali with an uppercut. Khali blocked a whip and sent Kane out. However, Kane stungunned Khali on the rope. That said, he walked into a clothesline although Kane avoided a leg drop and hit a seated dropkick for a 2 count. He dropped a bunch of elbows before calling for a finish. However, Khali pulled Kane's hand off and locked in for the Punjabi Plunge. Kane got out but was with a clothesline and elbow drop for a 2 count. Khali put in some blows before taking Kane into the corner. JR noted you could see the likeness in Khali & Runjin. The sideburns. However, Kane had gone up top and he hit the flying clothesline for a 2 count. Kane locked in a chinlock with bodyscissors, as JR wondered if Khali quit in Indian if the ref would know... Khali eventually got back to his feet and hit Kane with a back elbow and a big boot. Overhand chop by Khali scored a 2 count. Khali locked in the Vice Grip, but Kane grabbed the ropes. Kane grabbed Runjin Singh and pushed him into Khali, allowing him to hit a dropkick to the leg and hit a DDT for the three count! WINNER - KANE So his streak is still on as well! We cut to Vince McMahon's star on the Hllywood strip, or wherever those things are. More celeb spotting. Some chick. SLASH~! Robert Patrick. Cole had one question... Are You Ready? Cue video clip... DX vs. Legacy in a "Will Legacy suck it? And if they do actually suck "it", will they get booked to win? " match And there is finally, a NEW version of the DX Theme. Only some years late! New pyro stuff. We see members of the army coming out and they shoot into the air. The stage seperates out and DX comes in ON A FRIGGING TANK! It's a small on, but it's still a tank! HBK, pretending it's his cock, fires a pyro gun into the air. They then do the Suck it sign, setting off the main cannon. The music stops and they take in the cheers of the crowd before HHH said it had been a long time in coming, so are you ready? ARE YOU READY??? He said if Cody & TEd wanted a war, they got a war. But first, let's get ready to suck it... Legacy finally made their way out. Ted DiBiase and HHH start off. HHH Back him into a corner, but HHH gets the shot in, sending Ted back to his corner. Ted took control back in the corner, but the ref had to back him up, allowing HHH to switch and tee off on TD2. HHH hit a clothesline, followed by a suplex. A "Suck it" knee drop scored a 2 count. Ted telegraphed a backdrop and tagged in Cody, but he ran into the high knee. Cody was backed up, so he slapped HBK. Rhodes told HHH he wanted Michaels, so after surveying the crowd, HHH tagged Michaels in. Collar & elbow saw Michaels get a headlock. However after seperating, it was Cody who got another slap in. Michaels tackled him down, but Cody stayed in control. HBK reversed a whip though and hit a Thesz Press. HBK then hit a bitchslap of his own. He teased the superkick, but Cody ducked out the ring. Back in, Rhodes was caught in a drop toehold, before Shawn put on another side headlock. Cody countered into a back suplex though before tagging DiBiase in. HBK took him into the corner an chopped him a few times. Ted reversed a whip though and hit a clothesline as HBK came back. Rhodes came back in and hit an elbow drop for a near fall. Stomps on HBK followed by a scoop slam and knee drop. That scored a 2 count. DiBiase back in and he picked up a 2 count off his own. Ted locked in a chinlock. Shawn got out and hit a neckbreaker, putting both men down. HBK tagged in HHH, who went to work on DiBiase. Cody went for a cheapshot, but HHH pulled him in the ring. However, it allowed DiBiase to get the jump and catapult him into the corner. However, HHH came back with a shot and then spinebusters to both Legacy members. TD2 was set for the Pedigree, but Cody broke it up. HBK sent Rhodes out and then was flipped onto Cody. However with the ref looking the other way, DiBiase kicked HHH square in the nutsack. DiBiase was up first, so he pulled Hunter to his corner, where Legacy swapped super-fast tags, while stomping on HHH in the corner. DiBiase eventually made a cover for a 2 count, before putting on a chinlock. HHH got back to his feet and tried for a tag, but just as they got to touching, DiBiase managed to bring HHH back down to the mat. HHH got back up after a bit and hit a back suplex to break the hold. Rhodes tagged first, who prevented a HBK tag with a DDT for a 2 count. Jacknife cover by Cody for 2. European Headlock by Cody. HHH managed to backdrop out of the hold, dropping both men. HHH crawled over, but DiBiase was in first and he knocked HBK off the apron to prevent that tag. He wailed on HHH in the corner, but HHH began to fight back, drawing a "BOO!/YAY!" chant. However, DiBiase hit a back elbow. HHH though came back by shifting weight and sending TD2 out the ring. Cody rolled Ted back in so he could tag, but this time, he couldn't stop DX from tagging. Shawn went to work on Rhodes with his VINTAGE~! offence. However, as HBK kipped up, DiBiase blasted him. However, HHH took Ted on the outside and dumped him into the front row. In the ring, Rhodes headed up top with Michaels down. However, he missed the flying elbow drop. That allowed Michaels to head up, but Cody was up quick, and he crotched HBK. Cody went up to look for a superplex, but Michaels fought him off and knocked him down, allowing HBK to hit the flying elbow himself. However, Cody managed to get the knees up and he scored a 2 count off that. Cody looked for DIBiase, who was missing. CrossRhodes was blocked and HBK locked in the Figure Four. DibIase came to the rescue though and he hit an elbow drop to break it. HHH came in to Pedigree TD2, but LEgacy dealt with HHH. Cody caught the superkick, and after a DiBiase distraction, Cody hit CrossRhodes for a fall, only for HHH to break it up at 2. Behind the ref's back, HHH hit Cody with the Pedirgee. However, DiBiase came in with Dream Street on Michaels. HHH took himself and DiBiase out the ring and over the announce desk. Both men were up late in the standing 10 count. However, HBK managed to stand stand straight up, and he popped Rhodes with Sweet Chin Music for the three count. WINNERS - DX You know, if you think Legacy were in any way buried there, stop watching. This was a great match, and LEgacy much more than held their own. Wrestlemania 25 on NBC. Not all of it. NBC would be nuts to do that. This Saturday though, if you're interested... Christian vs. William Regal in a "Someone please tell em they're gonna get some time..." match for the ECW Title Wow, just jumping right into this thing, huh? I'm guessing we're running a little late. And just as suddenly, Matt Strike & Josh Matthews kick in for the first time tonight. And only time, to be honest. Interestingly, Regal comes out with BOTH Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson. Indeed, it's as if it's a three-on-one match as the Harlem and Russian dudes get in the ring and in Christian's face. We get some trash talk before the bell. However, when the bell rings, before Regal gets his jacket off, Chyristian hits the Killswitch for the three count! We are SO running late... WINNER & STILL CHAMPION - CHRISTIAN Regal's posse jump in the ring and hit their moves on Cage before Regal puts on the Regal Stretch for a bit. We cut to some of WWE's activities with the celebs and stuff in LA... Back to Cole & Lawler (who thank Aerosmith for their song), so you know what's next. Indeed, we take in a clip show of last Monday night, as Orton RKO'ed Cena, only for Johnny boy to come back on Jericho & Show. Randy Orton vs. John Cena in a "I wonder who Jeremy Piven is rooting for...He did say he was a fan of both...Come to think of it, he could be watching another show he believed was on tonight..." match for the WWE Heavyweight Title Cena is out first as we see a Kelly Kelly sign in the crowd. Sorry about their damn luck. Cena ducks out the ring and tosses his cap to Robert Patrick, who was in The Marine with Cena. Sorry Bobby, but Aiden Gillan is better... Orton, naturally, takes his sweet damn time in coming out to the ring. Not quick enough for this article's updater to update though. Cole noted that Orton first became WWE Champion at Summerslam. Didn't mention who it was against though. I forget myself... It could just be me, but I think I saw Tito Ortiz right behind Freddie Prinze Junior as we saw him standing in the crowd. If it wasn't, it was Tito's twin brother. We get, what may well be, Lillian's last ever Main Event Introductions. Apparently this is also he 10-year anniversary. We start on the mat as they roll aorund a bit, but go nowhere. Cena grabbed an arm, but Orton hit a straight right hand, going to work on Cena with stomps in the corner. However, Cena fired back with a takedown before hitting the bulldog for a 2 count. However, Cena ran into a back elbow. Orton rakes his kneepad on Cena's face before uppercutting him in the corner. Orotn continues his methodical pace, wearing Cena down, hitting the Orton Stomp in doing so. Orton then hit a HUGE knee drop for a 2 count. Cena began to battle back to some audible boos, but Orton hit his Prinze-killer backbreaker for another near fall. Orton with a chinlock as we get a dueling chant on the go. Cena gets back to his feet, even with Orton having locked a bodyscissors on. However, Cena drops back down. Cena again gets back to a vertical base, driving Orton back into the corner to break the hold. Cena hit the flying shoulder and ProtoBomb. Five Knucklle Shuffle connects. Cena looks to finish, but Orton counters into a scoop slam for a 2 count. Orton goes back to stomping his way around Cena's body. however, the big knee drop misses this time for Cena to get some shots in. However, the flying shoulder this time missed and Cena flew out of the ring. Orton caught Cena climbing back in to hit the elevated DDT. Orton pulled Cena into the middle and covered, but he only scored a deuce. Orton set himself for the RKO, but decided to try the punt, but it missed. Cena came back with the Fameasser off the top rope. Cena looked for the Attitude Adjustment, but Orton held onto the ropes to block, ending up with both men clotheslining each other down. Slugfest, drawing the "BOO!/YAY!" chants in Orton's favour. However, Cena won, hitting a backdrop. However as Cena looked set to finish Orton off, Randy gave the ref a shove to draw the DQ.
However, Lillian first said John Cena was the winner of the title, but then said that Vince McMahon had ordered the match to restart, and if Orton got himself DQ'ed again, Cena would win the title. However, Lillian again announced that the match would be restarted again, this time noting that if Orton was counted out again, he would lose the title to Cena. Orton ran back seeing Cena getting up. The STF was blocked as was the RKO. The Attitude Adjustment was blocked and Orton rolled Cena up, with his feet on the TOP ROPE for the win! BUT NO! Another ref came out from the back to tell Scott Armstrong about Orton's feet on the ropes, so again, we start again. Cena locked in the STF in the middle of the ring! Orton tried to make the ropes, but Cena pulled him back in. A fan dived in the ring as Cena was about to pick up the win. Didn't look like a wrestler breaking it up. However, as Orton recovered on the outside, Cena went to grab him, but he hotshotted Cena on the rope and hit the RKO for the win! WINNER & STILL CHAMPION - RANDY ORTON
Gotta think that was a wrestler if Cena didn't end up winning in the end. Will be VERY interesting to find out what happens next. Video package for the main event. Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk in a "Hey Jeff, See ya...don't exactly wanna be ya though..." Tables, Ladders & Chairs match for the World Heavyweight Title Punk came out first and someone forgot to turn JR's microphone on, as he talked and you could barely hear him. When he was amplified, JR called Punk "The Second City Saint". Man, first we get a "Straight Edge means I'm better than you" and now a "Second City Saint". How very ROH... Jeff came out and headed right up the first ladder he saw. Of the 8 TLC matches in history, Hardy has been in five of them, apparently. Ju-Ro gave it the Mian Event Intros. If you have the over on "Roberts saying Jefffffffffff for 5 seconds", you may have won. It was a long 'un... Oddly, they left the "God" light that was shining on the title as the match began, a match that Punk took control of in the corner. Jeff was dumped to the outside, and Punk grabbed a chair, waiting for Jeff to get up. Chair to the gut and then a shot to the back. Punk grabbed a small ladder and went in the ring. He set it up and climbed, but Jeff just cut him off as he had fingertips on it. Hardy rained in blows to Punk in the corner before hitting the rolling dropkick. JR called it "The Cardiac Arrest". Trust them to give it a name now... Hardy climbed while Punk was out, but Punk got in and kicked the ladder down. Punk looked for the GTS, but Hardy slipped out and shoved Punk into the ladder. A "Tables" chant started, but Jeff set up a chair to hit Poetry In Motion, but Punk caught him and hit a backbreaker onto the chair. Punk closed the in-ring ladder and slammed it on Hardy a few times. Hardy stopped himself on a whip to the corner, but he ran into a back heel kick. Jeff was dumped out the ring again. Punk reaided himself and hit a suicide dive through the ropes onto Jeff. Punk tossed a chair in the ring before placing a table at the corner on the outside. Punk looked for the Pillam shot to the neck, but Hardy fought him off. Punk took a running swing, but hit ringpost. Hardy sent Punk to the steps, and despite jumping onto them instead of running into them, Punk dived off into a chair shot.Hardy set the chair up again and this time hit the Poetry In Motion against the guard rail. Hardy grabbed a table and brought it round. He put Punk on the table and headed to the top rope. He went for a splash, but Punk JUST moved, so Hardy went through it himself. Punk grabbed a big ladder and, rather awkwardly, put it in the ring. You'll notice (well maybe not, you're reading not watching) that the ladder is pointed so if tipped over, you might send a guy through the tabel on the outside. However, as Hardy got over Punk to go for the title. Punk looked for a GTS off the ladder. However, Jeff turned it into a powerbomb from half-way up the ladder. Hardy reset the ladder (facing another way) to start a climb. He had a hand on the title, but Punk tipped it over and Jeff crashed into the ropes at the corner. Punk pulled Hardy up and hit a superplex onto the flattened ladder! That HAD TO suck. Punk caught a bit of it, but Hardy landed square on. Punk looked for a suplex, but Hardy countered into a Twist Of Fate from nowhere. He went up, looking for the Swanton. However, Punk got the knees up, thanks to having recovery time. Punk opened a ladder, but didn't stand it up. He hit the high knee, but the bulldog was blocked and Hardy tipped Punk over the top rope through the table beside the ring that Punk had left earlier. Jeff got up slow and stood the ladder up, but Punk was back up to his feet. Punk springboarded in with a shot to Hardy. Jeff was dumped to the outside. Punk looked for the Pillman shot to the neck, but Hardy blocked and sent Punk into the ringpost. Hardy grabbed a chair and went buck on Punk's back. Jeff grabbed a table and put it at the side of the ring before pulling apart the ECW announce desk. Monitor shot to Punk's head was followed by a chair shot. Punk was laid on the table, with Jeff hitting a stiff looking shot to the head. Jeff grabbed a MEGA~! ladder and went up top... He took in some cheers and stood right on top to HIT THE SWANTON BOMB FROM ABOUT 20 F**KING FEET ONTO PUNK AT THE ECW ANNOUNCE DESK!!! "HOLY S**T!" INDEED!!! Immediately, EMT's & trainers ran out as we watched replays of Jeff's epic send-off Swanton. We returned to see Jeff placed on a back board as Punk rolled out of the way. Jeff was placed on a stretcher, but he tried to fight being taken away. Meanwhile, Punk crawled back in the ring! Hardy got off the stretcher and scrambled his way around and back into the ring. Punk saw him with a look of despair on his face. Hardy climbed up the other wise. Slugfest at the top of the big ladder. Punk hit one shot to the ribs, sending Crashing crashing back down, leaving CM Punk to unhook the title for the win!
WINNER & NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION - CM PUNK Our very own RDLee got it right!!! WELL DONE RD! And by the way, he even called Macaully Culkin's appearence on RAW (albeit in a different context!). So frankly, if you don't like the product, blame RDLee, he's clearly writing for them these days! Anyway, Undertaker celebrated before heading up the ramp to look back and pose on the ramp, setting off the fire as the show ended!!!
