"Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more..." - Henry V (Act 3, Scene 1)
Yes, it is I, once again, Aaron Wood, standing in for Mike Rickard, who has fallen ill on his birthday, poor smegger that he is. The PPV preview is currently on the air, with it's never-ending loop of hype videos for the upcoming array of matches we have this evening, and so, join me back here at the top of the hour for the show, where the following questios will be answered...
Will Awesome Kong eat up Gail Kim like she did to that turkey?
How will Jay Lethal get wood faster? Going through a table or from the sight of So Cal Val?
Will Judas Mesias return, and thus making the seemingly neverending cycle of "Abyss wins a harccore match to only get attacked by a monster to set up another gimmick match next month"?
Will anyone bother going for the pinkslip if it's the last box remaining?
Will Angelina and Velvet live up to their new names and just strip?
Is Joe just one match away from telling us to "Suck it"?
Or, you could head for the forums and join in the dicussion there! See you later!
Hey there and welcome to the PPV. We in fact start off backstage with the Angle Alliance. AJ wonders how Angle nearly got into "fisticuffs" with Cage. And now? The Outsiders return with Joe. Angle said he stood to lose his authority. Cage has never listened to anyone. Angle eventually said he's try with the Instant Classic, but he could end up losing respect. Kurt went off to find Cage. And, as it goes, Tomko looks ready to wrestle, but me thinks Cage could end up pulling double duty...
We hit out opening video, with various shots of the people we'll see tonight and a rock track featuring sleigh bells. A lot of violent shots and a good amount of blood. No James-Earl Jones-alike tonight though...
We hit the arena as Tenay continues to pimp matches and the pyro blows. And we're starting with...
Jay Lethal & The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D & Johnny Devine in a "Got Wood? You filthy people..." Tables Match
Team 3D and Devine come out first, followed by the MCMG (and the 2nd best track on the new TNA CD) and then Lethal (with one of the worst on said CD...). And it just seems as though Lethal's is getting less over upon entrance. Not so many people reacting anymore. Devine and Shelley look to start us off, but Bubba grabs the mic and gets himself some pre-match heat by telling everyone that they suck.
Devine & Shelley shove each other before Shelley lays in slaps. Devine takes control though, and works on Shelley.Alex fires off a headscissors. Whip by Devine, but Sabin got the blind tag. They took turn at slingshotting in with elbows to Devine. Ray ran in and made a fuss before leaving. Sabin went to work on Devine, but Johnny got away and brought in D-Von.
Shoulderblock by D-Von saw him take control of Sabin in the corner. Sabin floated over a corner charge and hit a hurricanrana. Lethal was tagged in and hit the axe handle. D-Von hit a snap powerslam before tagging Ray. Slap in the corner to Lethal. slugfest saw Ray rake the eyes. BUbba went to work on the arm of Lethal, but the armwringer was reversed, with Lethal dropping the arm over the ropes. Armdrags by Lethal, but he was caught by Ray, who hit a BIG uranage. The Rock would have been proud.
MCMG ran in and hit Total Elimination, before back body dropping Devine & D-Von. The faces took dives over the top down to the heels below. Shelley worked over Ray, while Sabin took D-Von to task. Bubba started fighting back, but we're not concentrating on one thing. 3d approached the announce desk with a slur of some nature. 3D slid a table into and across the ring, hitting Lethal. Nice.
3D readied another table, but the MCMG dropkicked it back into them. Devine found himself alone with Sabin & Shelley, who double teamed him to buggery. However as Sabin celebrated, 3D snuck back in and took it to him. Side Slam/Leg Drop by 3D. The babyfaces down, 3D erected a table in the corner. D-Von worked over Shelley in the corner, but Ray grabbed Lethal, choking him on the rope. Shelley was whipped towards the table, but Sabin made the tackling save. Bubba charged Letyhal, but he moved, with Ray going through the table. He wasn't eliminated though.
The MCMG got themselves a table as Slick Johnson and his stupid shorts cleared the broken table. MCMG used a table to Devine's head, before setting it up on the outside. They went to put Devine through the table, but D-Von made the save. Shelley landed on the table and it crumpled under him, but didn't break up. D-Von set up a table on the rail. Shelley was prepped, but Devine dived up and over, only to see Alex move, sending him through the table himself.
Lethal slid in a table as D-Von worked on Shelley. However, Lethal came in and took D-Von down. Shelley & Lethal set up a table. They went for a double suplex through it, but Ray saved him. 3D set up the table Ray had just tossed. And it looks dodgy...
The 3D was attempted, but Shelley hit a DDT in reversal. Something happened that the cameras didn't catch, but I think MCMG dived on 3D. We were left with Lethal and Devine anyway. Lethal set Devine up, and went up top. He hit the flying elbow, putting him through the table, but the ref was out!
3D nailed the faces with the X belt and made things look as if Devine put Lethal through the table. The referee was revived and he called the match there!
WINNERS: TEAM 3D & JOHNNY DEVINE
After highlights, we cut backstage to Crystal Louthan (that's her name), as we saw Kevin Nash & Samoa Joe. She wondered where Scott Hall was (the bar?). Nash was chilled, and turned his attention to Angle. He started talking about how he could score with Karen Angle. Joe wasn't in the mood though, and told him to get serious and then find him in his locker room...
Angelina Love & Velvet Sky vs. ODB & Roxxi Leveaux in a "Take 1
bottle of shampoo women's match into the
shower PPV? Not TNA!" match
Roxxi came out first, followed by ODB, taking hits from the hip flask. Sky & Love came out together and fondled each other as they came down... Not in a "Scissor Sisters" way, but, well, there's a chance they are going there...
Sky motioned that ODB was drunk as ODB yelled encouragement. Roxxi & Love started things off. Roxxi back Love into their corner, where ODB got a cheap shot in. However, Love took control of Roxxi with a snapmare and low dropkick. Sky took the tag and the hit a double hiptoss. They shimmied and hit a double elbow for a 2 count.
ODB tagged herself in. And the crowd were behind the heel. Sky mocked ODB, but panked in her cute ass in return. Skly hit a dropkick, before riding the horse that is ODB. Sky then gave ODB a wedgie...She did. She really did. ODB wanted the ref to spank her and when he didn't, she wedgied him! Why did I agree to this?
When things got sensible again, ODB took control of the match, before tagging in Leveaux. Roxxi worked over Sky in a corner, with a boot to the face, although after being whipped into the other corner, Sky blocked a charge. She then ran into a Roxxi spinebuster for a 2 count.
Tree Of Woe to Sky in the heel corner, where ODB tagged in and stomped on Sky's ladies area. The heels went for the "dirty Dozen" but Sky countered and then sent Roxxi into ODB. Love topok the hot tag, and hit clotheslines to Roxxi. Atomic drop to ODB before snapping off a headscissors to Roxxi. Things began to break down with all four in the ring. The faces whipped the heels into each other. Love hit a big boot to Roxxi and picked up the pin!
WINNERS: ANGELINA LOVE & VELVET SKY
We went to the back with Borash, who was following Angle. He was about to go into Cage's "office". Borash offered tips on the deep breathing with Karen he's been doing. Angle told him to stay away from Karen and he'd be keeping his eye on him.
Angle went in, and Cage looked to fight. Angle asked to be heard out. Angle said that if The Alliance, Cage & Roode came together, no-one could stop them. Cage sounded interested. Angle said he'd have to be the leader. Cage wondered about this. Angle called himself the George Bush of TNA. Cage said he was no-one's lackey and told him to take his offer, shove it where the sun don't shine as well as AJ & Tomko. Roode complimented him, but Christian told him to follow his lead. Roode calle dhim an asshole behind his back. Traci said "Takes one to know one".
We recapped the doings with Eric Young & James Storm.
Eric Young vs. James Storm in a "I think that
I need a drink..." match
(Apologies, but I boo-booed and accidentally wiped the beginning of the match. Basically, Young mauled Storm to begin with and then Storm took over, working the shoulder)
Storm hit The Eye Of The Storm, before taking a breather on the top rope. Storm went back to work on the arm. Young fought the armbar., but Storm released it and dropped on Young's back, before locking in the armbar again. Eric managed to get up and scoop slam Storm down. Storm got up first, but was backdropped. EY hit the discus clothesline and went up top, hitting an elbow drop (with his good arm). However, that scored a 2 count.
Storm blocked a corner charge and went for the reverse DDT, but Young countered into a suplex with a pinning bridge for a 2 count. Storm hit an enziguri and a Backstabber. However it only scored a close 2 count. He waited for the superkick, but it was ducked. Young slammed Storm down, but still hurt too much to make a pin, only scoring a 2 count. Jackie got on the apron, but Jackie ended up spitting beer in Storm's face. Storm grabbed it and drunk it. The ref stopped Storm using it as a weapon, and Eric took advantage by rolling Storm up and scoring the three count!
WINNER: ERIC YOUNG
As Storm fumed, we saw some highlights of the match (what is with TNA recently and instant highlights stright away after EVERY match?).
We hit ringside and Tenay & West. They talked about the egos of Angle & Cage. Also, Scott Hall is still to arrive for his match. West talked about Joe's upset and wondering if the "stories" about the Outsiders are true. Tenay brought it back to Cage & Angle, but West kept on the Joe line of verbiage. They ran over the rest of the card, as they put the cases in place for...
The "So that'll be 3 title retentions and 1 non-fired guy by this time next month, then..." "Feast Or Fired" Battle Royal
However, as a note, West claimed that Rellik's kick to Rhino has taken Rhino out of that match. Abyss has a new partner, but didn't know who it was... Maybe it's Scott Hall and he's just in a different part of the building?
Crystal was backstage with LAX, who had the mystery Latino member with them. Homicide ignored that line of questioning,, saying they'd be taking all they could in the Battle Royal match, before saying Spanish things. Crystal brought it back to Christy Hemme, but Hernandez told her that no-one tells them what to do.
Anyway, where was I?
The "So that'll be 3 title retentions and 1 non-fired guy by this time next month, then..." "Feast Or Fired" Battle Royal
XXX as a unit made their way out. Then Sonjay Dutt. Shark Boy. Rock & Rave Infaction. Petey Williams. Chris Harris. VKM (and JEEZ~! Kip looks GAY~!. LAX. And finally Scott Steiner.
Apparently, the rule was that you had to be in possession of the case with both feet on the floor.
Too much happening to commentate on right now. Kip was dumped over the top rope. Various others spilled outside. Hoyt got near a case, but Hernandez stopped him. Dutt flew in and onto Daniels. Rave & Hoyt worked on Homicide. Still far too much happening. Shark Boy (still with neckbrace) stopped Senshi. Steiner got a chair.
The contents of the cases will be revealed on Impact. Daniels was stopped by Petey Williams before diving outside onto him. That left us with Dutt and Senshi, fighting over a case. Senshi put on the hanging Dragon, allowing Petey Willaims to grab Case 4. He dropped to the floor, so it's his.
BG James climbed up, but Steiner stopped that. Harris was apparently not playing as he didn't want to pick up the pinkslip. BG was helped the back. XXX stopped Dutt. Senshi went for a case, but Steiner stopped him. Kip James grabbed himself a case. BG suddenly made a miracle recovery. Kip threw him the case, before realising he could be fired.
XXX were in the ring doing things as Chris Harris hogged camera time making sure the announcers mentioned Harris. XXX and LAX fought each other. Hernandez sent Senshi flying, but he landed on a turnbuckle, grabbing one of the cases. He dropped to the floor and claimed that case.
LAX worked on Jimmy Rave. Christy came in to break up the Gringo Killer, but the Mystery Latino member ran in and hit Christy. Overhead throw by Elix Skipper to Cide. Daniels worked over Shark Boy, but Harris finally entered the match and took the Fallen Angel down. Harris told Sharky to go up, but gave him an Electric Chair. Scott Steiner picked a fight with the X Division as Chris Harris once again decided not to get a breifcase. He went for the Catatonic on Shark Boy, but it was countered into an ass bite. Sharky then dove on guys on the outside. Hernandez gave Dutt the Crackerjack over the top rope. Kip James climabed the turnbuckle of the remaining case, but Hernandez noticed him. James hit a dropkick on Herny before going up again. However Steiner took it to Kip, hitting a belly to belly. Chris Daniels knocked Steiner down and climbed up.
Daniels grabbed the case, but he climbed back in the ring. He used the case to level Hernandez. However, Kip hit the Fame Asser on Daniels. Scott Steiner grabbed the case and slipped out the ring with the final case!
WINNERS & LOSER: SCOTT STEINER, SENSHI, PETEY WILLIAMS & BG JAMES
Remember, all will be revealed on Impact.
We saw a hype video for the Women's title match
Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong in a "Enjoy this...it's the only title match you're getting tonight..." match for the TNA Knockouts Title
Before the match, we went backstage to Crystal and Gail Kim. She said she may have a loss to Kong, but she had pride as a champion, and Kong just liked hurting people. She proffered a brawl with Kong and even suggested that she could bleed a little. No matter what, she'd have to die before giving the belt up.
The big girl came out first in a red gladitorial outfit, with possibly less chance of accidental boobage. Gail followed, naturally. She stood in the aisle and shouted at Kong. She went to do her "wiggle my ass" entrance into the ring, but Kong pushed Kim off the apron. Kong wnet outside, but Kim went for her. Naturally though, Kong's power took over. She had her face slammed into the announce table. Things continued at ringside as Kong dropped Kim on the guardrail. However, Kim dodged a Kong ringside charge to the side of the ring.
Kim recovered in the ring and went for Kong as the behemoth got back in the ring. She worked on the arm with the ropes. Kong got back in the ring as the bell finally sounded. Kim worked Kong's arm. However, she went to the well one time too many and Kong locked in a sleeper. She spun Gail around and dropped her down. Hairmare by Kong. She choked Kim on the ropes. Kim continued to fire random shots in, but Kong wasn't selling. Kim dodged a corner charge and fired in forearms, but again, Kong mauled her.
Face plant by Kong saw her put on a Camel Clutch-esque move. Kong lifted Kim by the throat with a choke before dropping Gail Kim down. More choking by Kong. Kong gave Kim's hair an armwringer and tossed her across the ring. A dueling chant got going, as Kong laid in chops in the corner. Kim tired clotheslines, but Kong downed Kim with one of her own. A three point stance charge to Kim who was in the corner. Ouchies.
Kong picked Kim up for a torture rack, but Kim grabbed the ropes. Kim went up top, and when Kong charged, Kim grabbed the arm and put on an armbar. Kim went back to work on the arm, but Kong buttock-bumped Kim away. Kong set Kim up for a powerbomb, but Kim rolled through it. The spinning backfist was missed. Kim kicked at the leg and then hit a dropkick. A missile dropkick still saw Kong on her feet. Another one to the head saw Kong drop. Kim went up top yet again and (just) hit a senton. That scored a close 2 count.
Kong hit the backfist (albeit without spin). She then kneed Kim in the head in the corner. The ref called for the break, but Kong ignored her. The ref pulled Kong off Gail. Kong pie-faced the ref and Andrew Thomas called for the DQ.
WINNER BY DQ: GAIL KIM
When the bell rang, Kong realised what had happened and gave the Awesome Bomb to the referee (to a large pop). Kong then picked up Gail, but velvet Sky ran in. That did not work out well for her as she took a chokeslam. Angelina Love brought a chair in. Again, that didn't go the babyface way either as the chair was punched into Love's face. The crowd cheered for ODB. However, she's a heel. Kong set up the chair, and gave Gail Kim the powerbomb on the chair. She mounted Gail as security took their lives into their own hands trying to break it up.
We saw the highlights of the match before we sent it to JB and the Angles. AJ got entirely angry that the summit between Angle & Cage didn't work. AJ said he couldn't function without Cage. He threatened to walk out. Angle shouted over everyone and said she had an idea. Joe. There was some friction earlier. Maybe they could turn him against Nash & Hall. AJ thought she was drunk 9maybe she took Storm's beer). Tomko thought she had a point. Kurt said he'd go and speak to Joe. AJ pointed out his lack of success with Chrsitian. Angle over-ruled him.
Next up? Do you need something to put up your posters?
Backstage, Crystal was with the heels in the next match. Reign introduced him and Rellik. Oh, and Misty. I'd have thought we'd know. He welcomed Abyss and RAVEN to their nightmare. Raven? I thought the new partner was supposed to be a mystery? They didn't know who it was earlier. And I thought raven was a heel? Didn't he work WITH Black Reign not that long ago?
Abyss &
Rhino Raven vs. Black Reign & Rellik in a "Which poor sod had to count those tacks out?" Match Of 10000 Tacks match
We saw tank upon tank of thumbtacks, as the heels came out. As Rellik came out, we saw the kick that has put Rhino down from Impact. Then, it was indeed Raven. OK... And Raven seemed to have a big scar (or maybe a tattoo) running down his chest. Rellik held Reign back from Raven. Last but not least was the one person whose names doesn't start with an "R" in the match. Abyss. However, I'm tempted to go with Rabyss, just because...
There were spot of tags everywhere. Raven bulldoged Rellik while Abyss charged Reign. Raven & Abyss signalled they could trust each other via arm signals before picking an opponent. However, Abyss found himself double teamed. But that just allowed Raven to take a dive over the top onto them. Abyss & Reign went into the crowd as Rellik and Raven went around ringside. Raven hit the Russian legsweep to the guardrail.
Things went split screen as we followed the seperate fights, but it was basical crowd brawling stuff. Reign took control of Abyss while Raven sent rellik into the front row. We finally concentrated on something, as Abyss went for a table under the ring. Abyss set up the table outside the ring. Abyss looked to put one of the tack beds on the table. However, Black Reign snuck up on him. Abyss saw it and went for the chokeslam, but Reign blocked it. Before we saw the final outcome we saw Raven work on Rellik. Abyss used Darkness Falls on Reign, sending him flying into the ring. Abyss used the axe end of it to rip at Reign's head. Rellik came in with a chair, but Abyss spied it and elbowed the chair back into Rellik's head. Reign was busted open. Abyss had Rellik set for a slam, but Reign gave him a low blow and sent him into the wedged chair. The heels took control, as they both worked on a bloodied Abyss. Reign gnawed at Abyss's head. Raven came in, but Rellik dealt with him. Things spilled out again.
Rellik grabbed a tack bed and put it in the corner of the ring. He grabbed a fistful of tacks and put them in Raven's face. With some still in his hand, he smothered Raven, with tacks surely going in Raven's mouth! Rellik then kicked Raven in the gut as we saw a really bloody Abyss laying on the outside. Rellik hit a similar kick to the one that downed Rhino.
Rellik stalked Raven, waiting for him to get up. Mounted punches in the corner. Rellik went for a bag of tacks on a pole, but Raven dropped Rellik from the top. Black reign came back in the ring and stood over Raven. However Raven snapped off a DDT for a 2 count (I was wondering how the match was won...) . The heels doubel teamed Raven, but Abyss came back in, taking it to Reign and Rellik. Raven passed Abyss a Kendo Stick. He caned the heels. Raven gave a shot to Rellik. However, Reign managed to get Abyss's stick, whacking the faces like they were snakes in the Simpsons. Reign set to use Darkness Falls on Raven, but Raven pulled the weapon, sending Black Reign through the table with the tack bed on it that was set on the outside earlier.
The other tack bed was laid across the gap between ring and rail. Rellik was set on it, but Raven dived down to see Rellik move, sending him though the board. Rellik gave Abyss a few shots, before getting the bag o' tacks. Abyss was COVERED in blood. Rellik (eventually) dumped the tacks out, but Rellik gave Abyss the mist mid chokeslam. However, As Rellik charged, Abyss hit the Black Hole Slam onto Rellik! You know...the guy without a shirt on! Abyss made the cover for the three count!
WINNERS: ABYSS & RAVEN
Again, we hit immediate highlights, before seeing Abyss leave up the ramp.
We went backstagew with JB and Angle as they approached Joe. Joe wondered it Kurt was mental. Angle said he knew Joe hated him, but they were on the same wavelength. With regard to Hall & Nash at least. Angle said they were using Joe to get over and they were riding Joe. Disgusting. They were going to use him up and spit him out. They didn't deserve it. Angle said he just wanted Joe to think about it and do the right thing. Joe looked...intrigued...
We went back to Tenay and West. They tired to make sense of it all. Don't know if they succeeded...
West & Tenay recapped the upcoming match. Well, all one show of build to it.
Booker T & Kaz vs. Christian Cage & Bobby Roode in a "WWE's mystery man is getting a title shot. TNA's guy? Random tag match." match
Before the match, Crystal had Booker & Sharmell. Booker said that he and Cage went back a long way. One of the few he's faced before. Cage came to TNA for one thing. The TNA Title. He's damn skippy. Booker also came for it, as well as to face the best young guys. T put over Kaz. He moved onto Roode. He got priase too, but tongiht, anyway, he was going down.
Robert & Traci came out first. No immediate sign of the "fan", but I am now spotting a WCW shirt (one with the WWE version of the logo from the Invasion). Oddly appropriate. Cage followed. Then came a baby blue coloured Kaz (and a stupid braided double ponytail...very Kip James-esque), before we got us some Booker T.
Roode & Cage hesitated getting in the ring, as the faces begged them to come in. Kaz and Cage started things off. Cage clubbed Kaz in the back, before firing in choppage. Kaz hit a few of his own. Cage blocked a charge, hitting a corkscrew elbow. Cage toyed with Kaz, but Kaz fired back with kicks and a springboard legdrop. Cage took control again before tagging in Roode. Kaz wrung the arm and tagged in Booker. Booker took Roode down, before working him over in the corner. Hammerlock was quickly countered, but Booker got a hiptoss and clothesline for a quick 2 count. Suplex by Booker scored another 2.
Hammerlock again by Booker. We saw Roode's fan (looking rather psychotic) in the uppermost bleachers. Cage came in and took control of the match, but T countered a charge with a back drop. Kaz came in from the tag and whipped Cage into the corner. Splash connected. Roode came in, but he was sent into Cage. Kaz then hit Jeff Hardy's sipping dropkick in the corner. Kaz then dived up and over onto Roode & Cage. Well, mainly Roode.
Cage took a powder, but Booker grabbed him and rolled him back in. Kaz hit some mounted punches in the corner, but with the ref looking the other way, Roode stopped him, allowing Cage to hit a DDT for a 2 count. Cagechoked Kaz on the ropes. Dueling chant got going as Cage knocked Kaz down. Roode choked Cage while the ref was distracted before the heels made a false tag. Roode hit a butterfly suplex for a 2 count. Sleeper by Roode.
We saw the fan watching again before Kaz got back up to his feet. Kaz rolled Roode for a 2 count, bthey exchanged pinning combinations for 2 count. Roode sent Kaz over the top, but he stayed on the apron. He springboarded in, but Roode caught him and hit an uranage for a 2 count.
Christian came back in. He trash talked Kaz in hsi corner, prompting Kaz to fight back. Kaz dodged a Cage charge, senidng him into Roode, rolling him up for 2. He hit the Wave Of The Future, but couldn't made the pin. He went for the tag to Booker, but Roode ran over and pulled Booker from the apron.
Roode was tagged in, although Kaz rolled over the double team and hit a DDT/neckbreaker combo on the heels. Kaz crawled over and managed to make the tag. The crowd din't explode like Tenay said it would, but he certainly was on fire against the heels. Cage dodged the Axe Kick, but Booker hit a spinebuster for a close 2 count.
Booker went up top, but Roode stopped him, allowing Cage to join him and go for a superplex. However, Booker shoved him off. Booker then hit the missile dropkick. And then it was Spinarooni time. However, Roode put a stop that nonsense. Booker gave Bobby a back kick, but Cage gave Booker a cheap shot. Booker hit his roll up in the corner for a 2 count, but the heels seemed to take control again.
At least until Kaz just came in and started beating on the faces. However, Kaz was sent up and over to the floor. Booker ducked a double clothesline and hit a leg lariat. NOW it was Spinarooni time. He went for the Axe Kick on Cage again, but Roode stopped it. Roode & Kaz got into it, but while the ref dealt with Kaz, Roode got a chair. T dducked and Roode pasted Cage with it. Roode found himself dumped. Booker hit the Axe Kick and that was, as JBL says, "BALL GAME!"
WINNERS: BOOKER T & KAZ
Oddly, for once, Traci didn't seem overly delighted her man had lost a match (although she was taking pleasure in his misfortune earlier. Again, immediate highlights. The victors headed up the ramp as Roode tried helping up Cage. Roode propped Cage in the corner and tried to explain. Cage exploded with anger and they got into it. AJ Styles slid in the ring and split the men up. AJ tried talking to Cage as they headed up the ramp.
We went backstage, where Joe was PISSED~! he demanded Nash explain himself. Apparently Hall was still missing. Joe used Angle's line of thinking. Nash said he'd be there. Joe said he'd be out there, but not alone. Or something like that. A bit too much screaming...
The Angle Alliance vs. The Outsiders & Samoa Joe (well, probably not at this point) in a "Oh man, look how far Joe has fallen...he's now basically X-Pac..." match
AJ & Tomko made their way out first, as Tenay and West pondered exactly how many people were going to be in the match. Angle then came out (with the best track on the new TNA CD that I mentioned earlier. Remember that? MCMG were 2nd best...) Joe looked pleased with herself.
Nash was next out, on his own. Then came Joe...Onnly he didn't come out. His music and video played, but no actual human being. The Alliance looked delighted. But then Joe did come out. West suggested that Joe was delayed because he was looking for some back up. He got in the ring and called for a microphone.
Joe said that backstage, he was told to come out and that if the fans trusted anyone, it would be Joe. He said that Scott Hall had no-showed the event. He would love to say he'd be making a late entrance, but it ain't happening. And it got him thinking. He could have made the best of it in a 2 on 3. But then he realised they gave him a live mic on a PPV.
Oh God. A Russo worked shoot.
So time to get things off his chest. In TNA, there are diehards who bust their asses every week. Then there are "superstars" who do what they feel like. "Superstars" who screw the hard workers and each and every fan. The answer is simple. TNA is the MCMG busting their asses. TNA is Jay Lethal busting his ass. TNA is Samoa Joe. Doing what he does best. Being the best wrestler in the world. TNA is a bunch of young, hard workers who look to change the bussiness while others profit from it. Some take big risks in matches. Some pad out their pensions. So Scott Hall could kiss Joe's ass. Joe dared someone to fire him. So, he said in the locker room, and wondered who wanted to main event nad have a fight. Every X wrestler stood up. Everyone whose first shot was in TNA stood up. But one stood out. He's bloody, but he wants a fight. His partner?

Eric Young.
AJ & Joe started. They traded standing switches, before Joe did that rolling pin thing. Joe then smacked AJ with kicks and the knee drop. He then tagged in Eric Young while staring a hole into Nash. Nash looked pissed. Young got a quick 2 count on AJ, before putting on a sleeper. AJ scrambled for the ropes after a backdrop.
Angle took the tag. Angle grabbed a side headlock, before taking Eric down. Uppercuits by Kurt. Young was sent up and over the top, but he came back in and hit a belly to belly for a 2 count. Young tagged in Nash, but Angle sped and tagged in Tomko. Nash shoved Tomko off of the lock up. Another lock up saw Tomko take control with punches. Tomko tried taking Nash down with clotheslines, but Nash fired off a big boot before Nash drilled in elbows and knees in the corner, before putting on the boot choke.
Tomko fired back, but AJ & Eric were brought back into the ring. Young hit a lovely wheelbarrow neckbreaker on AJ. Young was forced into the heel corner, where Angle draped Eric's hurt arm over the rope. AJ fired in shots in the corner. He set Young on the ropes and hit the Pele kick.
