Jingle Balls (Mahoney)...Jingle Balls (Mahoney)...Jingle all the way!
Merry Winterval everyone. Santa Cluas may not be bringing you this WWE PPV, or even, given the Balls Mahoney reference, Xanta Claus, but I'm a big fat guy and it's December, so I'm effectively right for the part, other than I don't look good in red. Anyway, it is me, Aaron Wood, here with your monthly offering from the E. And it is indeed The End (although THANK THE LORD they aren't using that damn song), as tonight we are faced with Armageddon, where the following questions will be answered.
Is Ken Kennedy going to complete a one-two over the Rockers?
Will Jillian perform any of the songs from her bonafide top 100 album that has gained worldwide success (albeit for a day)?
Can Jericho "break" Orton's "Code" or will Orton re-BOOT Jericho back into retirement?
Is HHH going to bide his time?
Will many men's dreams come true and see Mickie lay a kiss on Beth?
Will CM Punk be able to walk away form his match, or will he, like some Looney Tunes cartoon, need to be peeled off the floor with a palette knife?
Will Khali squeeze Finlay's head so hard that Guinness shoots out the top of it?
Anyway, since this isn't TNA, there isn't currentlly a looped video playing on my screen which pretends to be some sort of AWESOME~! preview show, so I'm off to make nibbles, use the restroom (hey, it's my last bathroom break for the next three hours at least!) and I'll be right back at the top of the hour with the show!
Well, here we go with the show!
As you can probably guess, the video features rather desolate shots. We start with looking at Orton & Jericho before looking at the three way.
The difference between TNA and WWE. Where both companies have their deep voiced guy making grandiose statements, WWE's make sense and are relevent to the matches. TNA's aren't.
They pyro blows off and our stage tonight is rather dressed up. And our first match? Well, Cole is the only one to speak so far...
MVP vs. Rey Mysterio in a "And filling in for Matt Hardy is..." match for the US Title
MVP makes his way out first, and he's chosen the red Power Panger outfit this evening. Meanwhile, Rey is wearing yellow and black (Well, they are in Pittsburgh...) and he had a mask over his mask...
VP is doing the gregory Helms thing and beginning the match with a doo-rag. They begin feeling each other out. MVP goes for a takedown, but Rey wriggled out of it. Rey then throws kicks to the leg and then hit a headscissors on Rey. Oklahoma Roll scored a 1 count for Rey. Rey springs off the ropes and armdrags him out. Rey went to dive out but the ref stopped him. But he then dived up and over the ref onto Porter. Nice splash actually. Right on the money. MVP missed the running boot in the corner, but MVP dropped Rey, face-first, into the top turnbuckle.
MVP covered for a quick 2. MVP put on a quick chinlock, but then covered for a 2 count. European headlock by Monty. Rey got up and fired in shots, only to run into a drop toehold. Running kick to the head. Cover by MVP scores a 2 count. MVP put on the half-nelson, wretching on the neck with the other hand. Rey fought back with elbows, but Rey was hit with a jawbreaker off the knee of Porter. That scored a 2.
"619" chants got going, but Porter put on an armbar, and somehow, the doo-rag is still on. Tommy Dreamer should take notes. Rey kicked MVP off, but Mysterio was necksnapped odwn for a 2 count. Fireman's carry by Porter saw him drop Rey, but Rey landed on his feet and took down MVP. Standing 10 count. Both guys up at 7 and a half. Rey began a comeback, springboard crossbody scored a 2 count.
Rey was sent to the apron, and just hit a seated senton. However, he lost his balence, got tangled on another rope. However, Rey continued and hit a springboard body press for a 2 count. However, MVP then hit Rey with a hard clothesline. To the corner, they went up the way. MVP went for something that may have been a suplex to the outside (!!!). However, Rey blocked it and punched MVP. He fell off the ropes but got back up. He sprung up and hit a hurricanrana for a close 2 count.
Rey came off the ropes only for MVP to hit BIG boot for a close 2 count. MVP went for a reverse suplex, but Rey seemed to have countered it into a DDT (Kinda how Ultimo Dragon did it) for a 2 count. MVP was positioned for the 619, but MVP ducked out. Rey hit the apron and hit a flying headscissors on the outside.
The ref started a 10 count. Rey got back in, but MVp elected to not get back in, with the ref hitting 10. Rey hit a baseball slide, positioned MVP and hit the 619. MVP rolled out the ring before he was hit with anymore.
WINNER, BUT NOT CHAMPION: REY MYSTERIO
We sent it to JR & Lawler who recapped the coming together of Jeff Hardy & HHH, from Survivor Series. We cut backstage to Grisham who was with Jeff Hardy. He asked Jeff if this was the biggest match in his career. Jeff AGREED! He even said this was his closest opportunity at the title (Uh...no.) He respected HHH but not fear him. It was now or never and he couldn't believe in never.
CM Punk & Kane vs. Big Daddy V & Mark Henry in a "Spot the odd man out..." match
Kane made his way out first (well, he does have the pyro), and he shot it off. Now, for those in the know, that can't mean good things... When CM Punk came out, Joey & Tazz didn't rate the babyfaces chances. And Punk's playing the the Steelers fans tonight too! The men who combined weigh 879lbs, came out together. We saw what happened 2 weeks ago when they beat down Punk and Kane made the save.
Punk and Henry started things off. Punk went for kicks and then a single leg takedown on Henry, but it didn't work. A drop toehold into the corner did though, as he laid in shots to Henry. Kane was tagged in. Kane fired in shots, but Henry clubbed back. Kane fired back in thsi slugfest. Punk came back in. However an Irish whip was reversed and the ECW Champine was clotheslined down. Henry stomped on Punk before tagging in Big Daddy V.
V took Punk to the corner and chopped off a tattoo. However, Punk ducked another and put in a couple of shots. However, Henry kneed in the back and V dumped him out. Matt Striker got a cheapshot inbefore Punk was bieled back in the ring. V military pressed Punk. Henry was tagged in again.
Henry walked over Punk before he started choking him. Henry made a pin, but Punk got his foot quickly on the ropes. In the corner, Henry choked some more. A club to the back, downed Punk. Punk was placed in the corner and Henry made a charge. However, Punk ducked out the way and made the tag to Kane. Kane squashed Henry in the corner before going up top for the flying clothesline, a move that finally downed one of the big men. Kane signalled chokeslam, but he fired a shot at Big Daddy V. Henry used the distraction to shove him into the heel corner, but Kane fought back and went for a chokeslam on the legal Daddy V. It was reversed, with V scoring a 2 count, Punk making the save.
Kane went to work on V, who actually hit the Visagra, albeit without the humping. Henry came back in off the tag, although not before V squished Kane in the corner. Henry put on a bearhug.
Kane ripped at Henry's face to try and break the hold and staggered back towards his corner, but when inches away from Punk, Henry over-powered him and drove him back to his corner where Big Daddy V tagged in. Big chop to Kane, but Kane began to fire back with shot. V clotheslined Kane and tagged Henry. However after being whipped Kane hit a DDT on Henry. Punk begged for a tag.
And Punk got that tag, but so did Big Daddy V! Punk hit kicks before hitting a pair of knees to the corner, but the bulldog wasn't happening. Punk kicked away until Henry came in. Kane helped Punk dumped Henry. He went for the springboard clothesline, but V countered with a Samoan Drop! That scored the inevitable three count.
WINNERS: BIG DADDY V & MARK HENRY
Cole & JBL came back on commentary and it was snowing outside. I tell you, I'm frozen here myself! They talked about the three way coming up. We cut backstage to Vicki Guerrero, who was also sporting a neckbrace (did she steal it from Shark Boy?) Edge came in to the party scene (oh, she was blowing balloons) She set it up for their party later. Edge came in and vowed to win the title. He then tenderly kissed her hand for good luck.
Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Kennedy in a "Can he win an important one now?" match
Ken Kennedy made hsi way out first as JR assumed this was the biggest match of Kennedy's career. He got himself the microphone from the ceiling. He told HBK that it doesn't matter if he likes, respects or mocks him. The only thing that matters is that he beats him. And that's what's happening, and yo don't need to be told by whom. You can probably guess.
HBK then followed, praisin' the lord all the way. The match began with the crowd chanting loud for HBK, although there was a Kennedy sign fornt and centre. They locked up, with Kennedy getting the better of it. Back elbow scored a quick 1. Slam by Kennedy was followed by an elbow. Backbreaker for another quick 1 count. Kennedy worked over HBK in the corners. However, in the third, HBK switched and fired in a chop. Shawn was sent into the turnbuckle hard, but when in a fireman's carry, Shawn wriggled out and hit a chop block. He fire din some mounted punches.
HBK went for a suplex, but it was blocked. However, he hit an armbar takedown. Michaels began to work on the arm, with an armbar into the hammerlock. He transitioned into a pin for a 1 count. HBK stayed on the arm, but Kennedy managed to get back up. However, Michaels kept hold of the arm no matter what.
Kennedy finally managed to throw HBK before he tackled HBK, sending both men through the ropes to the outside. Kennedy was shoved into the guardrail. Kennedy left his hand on the steps, so HBK stomped on it while getting back in the ring. HBK pulled Kennedy back in by the arm, before continuing to slam the arm off the mat. He worked on Kennedy's hand as well. Kennedy bit the rope to relive the pain while HBK worked on it.
Armwringer by HBK saw Kennedy fire in punches. HBK was sent to the apron, where Kennedy joined him. HBK was sent into the ringpost, dropping to the floor. Kennedy rolled Shawn back in the ring. Kennedy kept shoving HBK's back into the corner. Boot choke to a downed Michaels in the corner, before hitting a running boot to Michaels. He made a cover and scored a 2 count. Backbreaker by Kennedy scored a long 1 count. Kennedy hit another, bending the back over his knee this time.
HBK grabbed Kennedy's sor earm to break the hold, but Kennedy stayed on top with shots to HBK. Scoop slam by Kennedy saw him head up turnbuckles. Kennedy came off and saw the counter coming, so he took Shawn down for a 2 count. Chinlock by Kennedy, but he kept feeling the arm. HBK fought up to his feet. Foremar to HBK's back, but HBK came back with punches. HBK then sent Kennedy over the top rope to the floor. Standing 10 count.
Kennedy got up first and back in the ring. Shawn hit the flying forearm and kipped up. He hit a few punches, the atomic drop and scoop slam. HBK climbed up top, and hit the flying elbow. The band was tuned up. However, Kennedy ducked the kick and rolled HBK Up for a close 2 count. Kennedy went for a rolling samoan drop, but Michaels countered out of it for a 2 count of his own. Shawn was catapulted to the ringpost. Kennedy then hit the rolling Samoan, but it only scored a very close 2 count!
Kennedy pulled HBK and went for a complete Shot, but HBK held the ropes. Kennedy fired in a southpaw punch and while reeling from the sore hand, HBK hit Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere for the win!
WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS
After a couple of highlights, we saw an advert for the Royal Rumble. It was one of those comedy affairs with the wrestlers getting on the tube before beating the crap out of each other. And Michael Buffer took Sweet Chin Music. That's the capper.
Todd Grisham plugged the next HHH/Hardy match before introducing Randy Orton. Grisham said Orton COULD be facing one of those 2 men, which Orton took exception to. Orton called Jericho a virus. Orton said that the title didn't mean he had to be entertianing (the smarks will eat that one up...). Orton proffered Jericho his own code. RKO 18. That being the number of titles his last three victims had won. He then promised to retain the belt.
Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy in a "Sledgehammer...meet day-glo paint" match for Number One Contendership
IC Title holder Jeff Hardy made his way out first. And again, they reiterate how this was the biggest match of Jeff's career. And somewhere in the back, Undertaker is PISSED. I know I would be. They let the chants build up for HHH before he came out. Hard to say who got the bigger pop actually. And really, they must be blowing the pyro budget for the year because there is a LOT of fire being shot off.
Jeff offered a handshake and HHH accepted it, but shoved Hardy away. They locked up. Jeff shoved HHH off, but took a shoulderblock. Another lock up. Standing swithc by HHH, but it was reversed by Hardy, who came off the ropes into another shoulder block. Hardy flipped out of an armwringer, but HHH hit a hard clothesline.
Hardy blocked a corner charge and hit a series of armdrags. HHH bailed out. Hardy went to follow, but Jeff avoided it. Hardy tried to run along the guardrail, but he fell off it and HHH clotheslined him. Back in the ring, Hardy flipped out a suplex, but took a STIFF chop by HHH. HHH yelled at Hardy to fight him. This fired up Jeff and the agressively locked up. HHH took Hardy into the corner, but they switched and Hardy put the boot in. Atomic drop by Hardy was followed up by a leg drop for a quick 2 count. Hardy then slapped The Game hard. HHH fired in and sent Hardy outside. HHH followed and whipped him into the steel steps.
Hardy was then shoved into the guardrail and edge of the ring before being rolled back in the ring. HHH dropped an elbow on the back. He hit another one, before he picked Jeff up. Hardy was whipped hard into the corner. Hardy coutnered another corner charge and climbed up, but HHH wasn't that dazed and quickly shoved Hardy to the outside, indeed hitting the rail.
Chad Patton started a ten count on Hardy. Hardy got to the apron, but HHH hit a second rope elbow when Jeff was half way in. HHH avoided a mule kick before dropping an elbow for a long 1 count. Abdominal stretch by Hunter. He even used the ropes for leverage. He's SO jonesing for a heel turn, isn't he. Eventually he was caught and the ref made him break it up. HHH went for a suplex, but Hardy floated over and hit an enziguri.
Hardy whipped HHH of the ropes, but H hit a facebuster and a clothesline for a 2 count. HHH then put on a sleeper, but Hardy ran him into the corner. He then hit a dropkick from the second rope. Hardy hit a neckbreaker takedown, before running ropes and hitting a couple of clotheslines. Mounted punches in the corner to HHH, but he missed the rolling dropkick. HHH picked up a deuce.
Hardy clotheslined HHH to the outside and hit the baseball slide before diving up and over onto HHH. Hardy climbed up top and his a crossbody for a 2 count. Whisper In The Wind (even called so by JR) scored another 2 count. Jeff called for the Twist Of Fate, but it was countered into a DDT, scoring 2 for Helmsley. Hardy went for a crucifix, but it was countered into a 2 for HHH. In the corner, HHH pounded on Hardy, but the ref forced the break. Jeff floated over a charge and mule kicked HHH down in the corner. He hit the rolling dropkick this time and went up top. The Swanton Bomb missed however. HHH made the cover, but only scored a close 2 count.
HHH called for the Pedigree, but Hardy countered. The Twist Of Fate was countered into a spinebuster. HHH stood over Hardy's prone body. He again went for the finish, but again, Hardy countered into a roll up, and he GOT THE THREE COUNT!!!
WINNER & NO. 1 CONTENDER: JEFF HARDY
Hardy joined the fans to celebrate while HHH looked on in amused shock, hardly believing what had just happened.
Backstage, Khali spoke. I don't know what. However, Runjin Singh did and he said that he told Finlay that there are conseqeunces for his actions. Khali spoke again, saying that FInlay loved to fight, but Khali loved to destroy, and there was no luck in the world to save anything Irish. Khali's music played in the background, so...
Finlay vs. The Great Khali in a "Man, he's gonna need a ton of four-leaved clovers..." match
Again with the fire! And apparently, Khali's handspan is longer than an NFL football... Finlay came out with Hornswaggle.Finlay stared down the size of his task. They went eye-to-nipple. Khali shoved Finlay down, but Finlay fired in some kicks. However, Khali grabbed Finlay and dumped him in the corner. Back elbow to the head. Khali put in a chop. Khali then hit a big boot. The big man then dumped the Irish man to the outside. Khali climbed over the ropes and went to work on the outside, ramming Finlay into stuff. He went to club FInlay while he was up against the post, but Finlay avoided it. However, despite firing in a couple of shots, Khali chopped Finlay and put him down. Shoulder claw by Khali. Finlay elbowed out of it, but again Finlay was put down with a big boot. Khali went back to the claw, despite JBL guessing he was going for the Vice Grip.
Finlay tried to get back to his feet, but couldn't. However, he did manage to crawl over the ropes, step by step. Khali put on the Vice Grip int he ropes, and Khali let it go at four. He grabbed Hornswaggle and swatted him out the ring. He then chopped FInlay down again. Khali went for a turnbuckle pad. However, Finlay grabbed the shillelagh, despite Singh's best efforts. Khali grabbed Finlay before he could use it though. However, Hornswaggle came in and gave Khali a low boow with another shillelagh! He then handed it off to Finlay, who smacked Khali with it, pinning it for the win!!!!!
WINNER: FINLAY!
After a "Tribute To The Troops" advert, we went to JR & Lawler, who put over the show. They said it was the most emotional show yet. And apparently, Orton vs. Jericho is up next... Wow. Mickie vs. Beth gets higher billing...I suppose it cools the crowd down. Anyway, we got a video much the same as what made up the opening to the show, albeit in more detail.
Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho in a "Save Us! Save Us from HHH vs. Orton at Mania! (Well, not really, I'd quite like to see it...)" match for the WWE Title
Jericho comes out first, and I pray for the day they change the music. I really do. And if you think Jericho's tights say "Gay magician", check out his vest... Orton made his way out to yet more fire, as JR pointed out how it was 6 years ago this month (and probably this week) that Jericho won the first undisputed title.
Lillian did the introductions once both were in the ring. Mike Chioda checked both men for objects and then called for the bell. And while Festus once again roared into life somewhere, the pair tied up, but to no-ones advantage. Jericho hti a snap amrdrag. They tied up again, with Orton forcing Jericho into the corner. Jericho was whipped into the other corner, but he avoided Orton's charge and hit another armdrag, barring the arm.
Jericho dumped Orton onto the top rope, before hitting a pair of punts to the gut. Orton pucnhed away at the ribs. Orton kicked Jericho, but Y2J hit back with a spinning heel kick. Orton took a powder while Jericho went up top, but Jericho just dove to the floor instead onto Orton. Orton was rolled back in the ring, but he caught Jericho coming back in. However, the elevated DDT off the ropes was countered into a Walls attempt. Orton squirmed out of it and then it a DDT.
He scored a 2 count off that. He stomped on Jericho's ankle and hand, before clubbing the back and putting in his favourite resthold,. the chinlock. Jericho got back to his feet, but Orton hit a lovely standing dropkick for a 2 count. He went back to the chinlock, grapevining the legs around Jericho. Jericho again fought back up and forced the arms off. They collided heads, leading Chioda to start a count.
Both men got themselves back onto their feet, trading shots once on their pins. Jericho forearmed Orton down, before hitting a couple of shoulderblocks. Jericho then hit a mis-direction clothesline for a 2 count. Jericho hit a second rope dropkick for another 2 count. Orton fired off a powerslam for a 2 count. Jericho was sent through the corner into a ringpost, shoulder-first. Orton went for the RKO, but Jericho got a backslide for a close 2. However, Orton again sent Jericho into the ringpost.
They both climbed up, with Orton going for a superplex. Jericho fought back to block it, but Orotn was too powerful, hitting the move and scoring a 2 count off of it. Jericho avoided a dropkick. Jericho went for the Walls again, but it was countered into an inside cradle for a 2 count. Enziguri to Orton, saw him follow up with the bulldog. Lionsault attempt met with Orton's knees. Orton hit his backbreaker.
Orton decided to call for a RKO, stalking his prey. However, Jericho shoved Orotn off and hit a Lionsault for a VERY, VERY close 2 count! Jericho got up and ran for Orotn, but he was sent ove rthe top to the apron, where Y2J was then punched to the floor. Orton followed out, but Jericho fought him off. Jericho ran for Orton, but Randy sent him into the Smackdown announce team.
Jericho fired back, rolling Orton in the ring. Jericho went up, hitting a punch to the back of Orton's head. He looked as if he was going to go for the Codebreaker, but Orton coutnered it, pushing Jericho into the corner. Orton again got the look in his eye. Thing is, it wasn't the RKO look. It was the Legend Killer Punt look. However, Orton misse dit and Jericho locke dint he Walls Of Jericho! Orton strived for the ropes, but Jericho pulled him back into the middle of the ring. However, out of nowhere, JBL ran in and kicked Jericho in the head, drawing hte DQ!!! (You see, when I said "Smackdown Announce Team", it was mainly JBL, who looked aghast that Jericho would dare fly into him).
WINNER BUT NOT WWE CHAMPION: CHRIS JERICHO
JBL walked up the aisle to the back, while Orton got the look in his eye again. He climbed back into the ring and hit the RKO on Jericho. Hey, if it puts Jericho on Smackdown at all...Orotn left up the aisle as we took a long look at the woozy Jericho.
The Royal Rumble advert aired again, and half the fun is watching background stuff.
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix in a "Finally! I've been waiting a couple of years for this match..." match for the Womens Title
Lillian was about to start introduction for the match when Jillian Hall came out. And indeed, as I could have put money on, Jillian is here to give us a performance of her iTunes EP. And she wasn't lying when she said it was "blowing up". On Tuesday, it was inside the top 20 in the UK!!! But hey, we lap up stuff like X Factor and Pop Idol, so we have no taste. Anyway, Jillian started singing and ALL the announcers started experiencing pain. JR offered Jillian up to ECW. Anyway, Mickie came out and interrupted Hall, prompting her to walk off in a huff.
Beth came out next, and for all Jillian's "music", Beth still has the best theme in all of wrestling. And that referee looks new...
The girls locked up, with Beth's power being the advantageous aspect. Mickie got a side headlock, but was shoved off and charged down. Beth blocked a whip and sent Mickie into the corner herself. Mickie went for a headscissors, but Beth turned it into a powerbomb. She stoodk on Mickie's back, using the ropes for leverage. Snapemare take over into the Dragon Sleeper. Mickie kneed Beth in the head to get out of it, but Beth stayed on top, driving Mickie into the corner and a Tree Of Woe.
However, Mickie floated over and scored a roll up for 2. Phoenix then put on a chickenwing submission. However, Mickie wriggled free and elbowed Beth in the face. Back to the Dragon sleeper, but Mickie floated over and out of it. She then hit the headscissors out fo the corner. James followed up with the Thesz Press. She hit another one, before hitting a low dropkick for a 2 count.
Mickie hit a neckbreaker, before going to the top rope. She hit a missile dropkick for a long 2 count. Mickie went for her DDT, but she was shoved off. Beth went for and got the Fisherman's Suplex for the three count.
WINNER & STILL CHAMPION: BETH PHOENIX
Did you know there was going to be a Wrestlemania 25? No seriously! These things seem to happen once a year.
And we sent it to Michael Cole and...
TAZZ!!!!! The boys are back in town! That would be because JBL interfered earlier. They sent it ot a video hyping the main event.
Batista vs. Undertaker vs. Edge in a "How to sum up Smackdown's 2007 in one match..." Triple Threat match for the World Title
Oddly enough, the Champion made his way out first. Indeed, people coming out first tonight are, as a group, not having a good night. So far 5 of them have lost and only 2 have won (MVP & Hardy). A sign? Edge was next, and then Undertaker made his long-ass entrance which made things seem like Christmas and New Year has passed before he finished it. And just to REALLY drive the fire, home, Undertaker got TONS of it. It's funny about all the little recurring things that catch my eye...
Oh, it is so good to hear Cole & Tazz again. And I've just looked at the time. We must be getting a full show tonight. Edge got in the ring and ducked right back out again. That left UNdertaker and Batista to lock up, but Batista shoved Taker off, who powered out and chased Edge. Batista stopped him, but then Batista and Undertaker began fighting over who was going to beat on Edge. Edge slipped in the ring and caught Undertaker coming back in. Taker called for a chokeslam, but Edge powered out and Batista attacked from behind. Taker was forced out the ring and went for a chokeslam on Edge again, but again Batista got involved and the big men fought over the Rated R Superstar. Undertaker got the opperhand of that battle, hitting the leg arpon on the apron.
Undertaker picked Batista up, but batista shoved him off into the ringpost. Edge then made sure Batista followed suit. Edge rolled Batista back in the ring for a 2 count. He shouldered Taker off the apron, but ran into a BIG sideslam by batista for a 2 count. He then put Edge in the corner and clotheslined him, before driving shoulders into the gut. However, Edge avoided a charge in the opposite corner. Edge readied for a spear, but he ran into Batista's boot. Batista hit apowerslam, but Taker pulled Batista off the pin to the outside. He sent The Animal to the step before rolling him back in the ring. He then turned his attention to Edge, kicking him in the head, before climbing to the apron. However, before he could hit the leg drop, Batista clotheslined him down.
Back in the ring, Batista hit Edge with a spinebuster. He went for the Batista Bomb, but Edge hit a low blow and hit the Edgecution. However, Taker pulled the ref out the ring on 2. This left Taker and Edge. Edge punched Taker, but he wasn't selling. Taker threw soup bowls before squashing Edge in the corner. Snake Eyes was followed by a big boot for a 2 count. Taker went for Old School on Edge. Undertaker stalked Edge. He went for the Last Ride, but after hoisting Edge, Batista speared Taker down. He threw Edge out the ring. Batista went for Taker, but Taker put on the Triangle choke.
Batista faded, and the bell rang. It was Edge who rang it though. The ref, Mickey Henson said he didn't call for it. This allowed Edge to sneak round and spear Undertaker. However, it scored a 2 count. Edge then hit a spear to Batista for a 2 count. Edge coulnd't believe it. He went outside and grabbed a couple of chairs. He set Batista up for a ConChairTo. However, batista kicked a chair back in Edge's face before Undertaker clotheslined Edge out. Batista clotheslined Taker himself. Batista went up, but The Deadman crotched him. Taker joined The Animal up top, hitting the superplex.
Edge watched from afar. Taker got up first and went for Old School on Batista. However, Batista caught him and hit a spinebuster. Batista called for the Batista Bomb, but turned and speared Edge. He went for the Bomb again, butTaker drove him into the corner. We suddenly saw there were TWO Edges while Undertaker hit a chokeslam on Batista. One Edge (not the real one) jumped in and was chokeslammed, Undertaker fought with Batista. Taker hit Snake Eyes on him, but Batista clotheslined him down for a 2 count.
Batsiat called for a Tombstone, but Taker reversed it and hit the piledriver. Batista appeared from behind and smacked Undertaker in the back with the chair. He made th ecover on Batista and scored the three count! EDGE WINS! Well, one of them... Now THAT was Total Non-Stop Action.
WINNER & NEW WORLD CHAMPION: EDGE
2 fake Edge's crawled up the ramp (where did the third come from???) as Edge held up his new title. Taker looked on as Edge held the belt loud and proud when the show ended.
