Be sure to check back after Raw tonight for a very

Special 4th Anniversary Edition of J.G.'s Raw Insanity.

* * *

Welcome to WWI's ongoing coverage of Raw, live from the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Tonight's Guest Host(s) will be Pittsburgh Steeler starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and a few of his closest friends.

Isn't there already enough football on Monday nights? Just asking.

* * *

The pyro went off and Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcomed the viewers to the show.

Ben Roethlisberger, tonight's Guest Host, was introduced. He came out wearing a tee shirt with "CASH" on the front. Maybe we'll learn more about that later.  Or not.

As his first official act, he introduced something even bigger than the Super Bowl--the Diva Bowl. Divas from all three brands came down to the ring in football uniforms. More or less. They lined up and charged at each other. One thing led to another and Mickie James' hand was raised in victory.  This was supposed to be the first annual Diva Bowl.  Heaven help us.

I sincerely hope the rest of this show will be better than Diva Bowl I.

The Divas hadn't quite finished celebrating when Randy Orton's music started and he headed down the ramp with his newly-won Championship belt over his shoulder.

Randy Orton must have shooed away all the Divas, but he was still scowling.  For some reason, there was mood lighting in the arena. He had a mic in his hand and he was talking about last night's Hell In A Cell match with John Cena. Funny thing about Orton -- win or lose, he's always complaining.

Orton called out John Cena to see if he was going to ask for a rematch. Cena wasted no time in getting down to the ring. Answering his own question, Orton stated emphatically that Cena would NOT get a rematch tonight.

Cena was far more gracious than Orton would have been in his place. He congratulated Orton on his HIAC win. Cena said it had been a special match last night--the fans were on their feet the whole time and seemed to accept Orton vs. Cena as the consummate rivalry. For a rematch, Cena suggested an Iron Man Match.

Orton wanted to end the rivalry, but on his terms. If Cena loses, he would be gone for good and off Randy's show.

Cena accepted.

Orton added that there would be no DQ, no count out.

Cena confirmed that assorted plunder would be permissible, and the two shook on it.

The All American American, Jack Swagger, came out and said he hadn't been pinned last night and smelled like a winner. (Might want to pick up some antiperspirant for that.) He promised not to lose for the rest of the year.

But wait, Primo Colon might have something to say about that.

(2) Jack Swagger vs. Primo Colon.

Well, Primo didn't stand a chance tonight. Swagger took the win and will head to "Bragging Rights" in full brag, as it were.

(Commercial break)

The Divas were backstage still battling it out (verbally this time) when Santino jumped into the fray in a referee uniform. He tried to get a couple of the Divas to kiss and make up, but got slapped for his efforts.

Backstage, The Miz interrupted Big Ben's conversation to discuss the varying degrees of awesomeness. He asked for a chance at Kofi Kingston tonight. Big Ben made the match, with one stipulation. If The Miz loses, he must say "I'm The Miz and I'm awful."

(Commercial break)

Chavo and Chris Masters came out for the next match. Chavo smacking Masters in the head last week was explained as a "miscommunication."

(3) Tag Team Match: Chavo Guerrero & Chris Masters vs. MVP & Mark Henry.

Masters didn't have much luck taking on Henry, but Chavo tagged in and Henry went over the side. Chavo was intent on pinning MVP, who was having none of it. MVP got the winning pin on Chavo, after Masters mistakenly dropped an elbow on Chavo. Mark Henry may have injured his knee during the match.

Masters and Chavo were left in the ring and started to bicker. Masters put Chavo in a Master Lock, but Hornswoggle came out and bit Masters on the leg to make the save, then danced up the ramp doing a mini-DX chop.

(Commercial break)

Big Ben came down the ramp and had barely started on his stand up routine when he was interrupted by Jericho and Big Show who were intent on stealing the spotlight. How rude.

Big Show dwarfed Big Ben and mocked his offensive line. Out they came and suddenly Big Show didn't look quite as big. Jericho was not intimidated by them or their size, and dissed them. However, when they seemed about ready to go for a tackle, Jericho and Big Show got out of Dodge real quick.

Cue DX, who came down to join the party.

From the top of the ramp, Jericho and Big Show called them pathetic. And then plugged the new DX book, on sale at Shop Zone tomorrow.

Shawn Michaels, still battered and bruised from last night's PPV, challenged JeriShow to a match. When Big Show balked, Big Ben made a match for them tonight.

(Commercial break)

(4) United States Championship: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz.

You just knew The Miz is going to lose this one, simply because of Big Ben's stipulation. Or will he?

Good match with many pinning attempts on both sides. As the show went to the break, Kofi was on the outside and The Miz was counting his teeth.

(Commercial break)

Returning from the break, The Miz had Kofi at a disadvantage. Then The Miz was kicked in the head and fell to the outside. Kofi hauled him back into the ring, but only for a two count. SOS and a near pin by Kofi. Then The Miz went for one more cover AND GOT THE WIN AND THE U.S. TITLE!

The Miz took the mic and said what he had wanted to say: I am The Miz and I'm awesome.

(Commercial break)

WWE and John Cena, in particular, were recognized for their exemplary work with the Make a Wish Foundation.

Santino was complaining to Big Ben about being slapped by the Divas and Hornswoggle, but had trouble pronouncing his name.

(Commercial break)

Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos of Access Hollywood will be co-guest hosts next week.

(5) Big Show & Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels & Triple H.

This managed to be an entertaining match, yet one that took into consideration the matches and the PPV injuries suffered by the participants last night. Triple H started things off, then HBK tagged in and went to town on Jericho. Jericho and Big Show turned the tables and Show concentrated on HBK's back injuries. HBK was isolated from Triple H and Jericho put him in the Walls of Jericho. HBK tried to crawl over to Triple H to make the tag, but Jericho kept pulling him back. At long last, he was able to make a hot tag to Triple H. Big Show single-handedly suplexed HBK and Triple H. DX managed to toss Big Show over he wall into the crowd, which left Jericho his own. But not for long. The Offensive Line, dressed in DX tee shirts, was waiting for him at the top of the ramp. DX was waiting behind him. Jericho got an escort back to the ring, where he got a face full of Sweet Chin Music, then was pinned 1-2-3 by Triple H.

"Big Ben has thrown a touchdown on Monday Night Raw," shouted Michael Cole as the show went off the air.

Exciting way to end the show. All things considered, Big Ben wasn't too bad as guest hosts go.
