3/15 WWE RAW: WWI's Ongoing Coverage of Cussing and Guest Hosts and Beer, Oh My -- Stone Cold Returns to Raw
After Raw tonight, be sure to visit ClubWWI.com for James' brand new shoot interview with Jesse "The Body" Ventura. * * * And don't forget that Raw and TNA are going head-to-head now, and Jana Bulloch will be recapping "Impact" simultaneously with this report. You'll need to keep your remote control handy to keep up with these dueling shows. * * * Welcome to WWI's ongoing coverage of Monday Night Raw, live from the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California. Tonight is WrestleMania Rewind Night. This week's Guest Host will be STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!!!! Also, there will be a contract signing involving Bret Hart and Vince McMahon. The only thing missing is The Rock and it would be like old times. Stone Cold headed down the ramp as the crowd went wild. He got a standing ovation and seemed touched by the gesture. Plenty of "whats" as he started talking, and he seemed to wait for each of the whats. Austin said it made him thirsty. As he sipped, he complimented Bret Hart and said he was the best he'd been in the ring with. He said he was here to oversee the signing of the contract for the Bret Hart/McMahon match because Mister McMahon had screwed everybody he'd ever dealt with. "And that's the bottom line because Stone Cold says so." John Cena came out to a huge crowd pop, as Austin left the ring. Big Show came out and stood briefly in Austin's way before getting in the ring for his match with Cena. (1) Rewind of WrestleMania 20 Match: John Cena vs. Big Show. Cena was flat on the mat as the show went to commercial. (Commercial break) Back from the break and Show had Cena firmly around the neck before kicking him out of the ring. Big Show came off the ropes, but nobody was home. Cena came off the ropes and landed a leg on Big Show's back. Batista came out and caused a distraction. Show started to go for a cover, but Cena kicked out. Big Show tried it again, and got the win. Cena was out cold, which made Batista smile as he headed up the ramp. (Commercial break) (2) Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus. Sheamus started to say something into the mic, but all he did was blindside Evan immediately. Then he completely pulverized Bourne. How rude! The referee called for a DQ, but did nothing to stop the carnage. What are the referees for, anyway. Anyway, Sheamus had something to say and he was determined to say it. After WrestleMania, the King of Kings will never be the same again, promised Sheamus. Austin and Shawn Michaels were talking in Austin's backstage office, and HBK asked his opinion of the Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak. HBK was commenting on Chris Jericho, when Jericho walked up and overheard it. HBK said he would destroy Jericho tonight. Suddenly Jericho didn't look so bold and suggested maybe he could skip the match and he and Austin could go get a couple of Steveweisers. (Commercial break) (3) Diva Match: Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse. Kelly Kelly must be using the same hairdresser as Big Mo. They both had way too many extensions in their hair. This was an extremely short match, won by Maryese, who continued the beat-down after the match was over. Gail Kim and Eve came out to help Kelly Kelly. Michelle McCool and Layla from Smackdown came running out on Maryese's behalf. Before all was said and done, Vickie Guerrero came out, too. Hmmmm. What could it mean? (Commercial break) (4) WrestleMania Rewind 19: Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho. HBK controlled early in the match. Suddenly Jericho grew bolder and went for a submission. Unsuccessful Lionsault by Jericho. Jericho got out of Dodge and was about to be counted out. As he headed up the ramp, Edge appeared. SPEAR, Edge said to Jericho as he warned him what was coming at WrestleMania. (Commercial break) Todd Grisham timidly approached Randy Orton about Triple H, whom Orton said he respected. Legacy, on the other hand, is not. Imagine that. (Commercial break) Slim Jim has a new spokeswrestler -- Edge. With his movie star good looks, he's a perfect fit for the commercial's costume drama setting. (5) WrestleMania Rewind 25: Triple H vs. Randy Orton. The two of them were going back and forth pretty effectively when Oroton tried a drop kick and landed no where near Triple H. No matter, he tossed Triple H over the top rope. A DDT by Orton left Triple H out cold on the outside. (Commercial break) Back from the break, they stood in the middle of the ring trading punches, until they started trading finishing moves. Pedigree by Triple H. Legacy ran out and attacked Triple H. They wanted to get him out of the way so that they could have Randy Orton all for themselves. Triple H got back to his feet, as Sheamus came out to a loud "You suck" chant. Legacy pulled Orton out of the ring, as Sheamus stood over Triple H. (Commercial break) Gorgeous George??? In the Hall of Fame? He'll be inducted by his 96-year-old former wife, Betty Wagner. (6) Batista vs. Kofi Kingston. Batista was in a "zone," as the commentators called it. He caught Kingston in midair, and finished him off with a Batista Bomb. (Commercial break) Next week, Pete Rose will be the guest host. Hope he's ready for another tombstone from Kane. It was finally time for the contract signing between Bret Hart and Mister McMahon, moderated by Stone Cold. As usual, the ring was festively decorated with furniture suitable for throwing. Bret came out first with his leg still in a cast. Mister McMahon came out next to a chorus of boos as he mocked Bret's limp. Last out was Stone Cold, which was probably just as well. He could keep the peace between the two enemies. Austin had a piece of business he wanted to take care of first, and said he wanted Stu Hart to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and, as Guest Host, he made it so. McMahon said he didn't have a problem with it, but if Bret signs the contract and does not show up, he will sue Bret for everything he had. However, Bret said he wanted it to be a no-holds barred match. McMahon gave him a big Hell Yeah. "Bret has screwed Bret," said McMahon. Bret signed, then McMahon seemed to have second thoughts before signing it himself. Austin asked for a big Hell Yeah; whatever else Austin said to McMahon we'll never know, since it was one of many times Austin was bleeped tonight. Austin had one last thing to say to McMahon, then let Bret tell him himself. Bret took off his cast and placed it on the table. And that car wreck? Faked. Bret told McMahon that he was now 100%, and if McMahon tried to back out, he would sue him for all he was worth. Vince screwed Vince, Bret stated emphatically. Then Bret hit him with the cast and pushed the desk over. Vince just laid there like an overly-muscular beached whale. What a great ending!!!
