RDLee's WWE Monday Night Raw Report - Money In The Bank Fallout

By RDLee Jul 19, 2010 - 8:24 PM

I want to start out tonight's report by wishing the founder of World Wrestling Insanity, James Guttman, a Happy Birthday. He turns a young 68 today from what I've read.

Triple Threat Number One Contender's Match For The WWE Title

Randy Orton v.s. Chris Jericho v.s. Edge

This should have been the main event. The crowd was hot for the match regardless. Orton is quickly becoming the top guy in the company with the reactions he's been getting lately. Edge and Jericho double teamed Orton the first half of the match but then turned on each other when they saw openings to win as expected.

After a nice long match the finish saw Jericho miss a Lionsault and then ate a RKO out of nowhere. Edge jumped back in the ring and went for a Spear but also tasted an RKO of his own as Randy Orton picked up the win. It will be Randy Orton challenging for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.

Winner: Randy Orton

Back from commercial Edge and Jericho argued about who Nexus would benefit from more as their ally. Nexus came out and began beating down Edge while Jericho stood there and watched . Skip ran down Edge with his own Spear finisher. Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho on him while he was layed out. Nexus surrounded Jericho next and beat him down too. Otunga nailed Jericho with his Spinebuster to end the assault. I just noticed that Darren Young has a new hair cut. Looks less cartoony which is good. I am still thinking about buying that sweet new Nexus t-shirt on WWE Shopzone.

-

Sheamus tried to talk to Wade Barrett in the dressing room area but Barrett blew him off when he refused to go into their room alone. Wade walked away leaving Sheamus standing there aggravated. John Cena was interviewed next and said he wants to meet Nexus in the ring tonight to say something to them. He then teased that he would possibly join them since he can't beat them. I hope he does join, he has been stale as hell for years now.

-

Eve Torres v.s. Maryse (with Ted Dibiase)

I am still not a big fan of the pairing of TD2 and Maryse. I wish they had kept Virgil instead. We found out that whoever wins this match will be the number one contender for the WWE Diva's title. Eve got the win even though Maryse's foot was on the bottom rope. Ted got in the ring and began to argue with the ref about the decision. John Morrison hit the ring and totally missed the Starship Pain again for the 100th time in a row. He sucks at doing that move, he should go back to that sweet spinning neckbreaker since he is way too sloppy and horrible at the execution regardless of what his fans think.

Winner: Eve Torres

Sheamus came out to the ring and said he beat Cena for a "turd time". He ran down John and said he needs to step to the back of the line now for a title shot. He then said that he has worked out a truce with the Nexus. He ran down Randy Orton next. Suddenly the United States champion The Miz came out with his briefcase and told Sheamus that he controlled the future of the WWE title since he won MITB. He taunted him about the many ways he could beat him for the belt. Miz said that he is now Sheamus's celebrity stalker. He will be watching him. The General Manager buzzed in and told Sheamus that he has a match against Evan Bourne right now.

-

Sheamus v.s. Evan Bourne

Bourne took a minute to get out to the ring because he had to get ready for his impromtu match. As much as I can admit these two have good chemistry I am totally sick of this damn match twice a month on RAW. Why can't Sheamus take on someone else like Goldust or Kozlov? The Miz sat on the outside watching the match unfold while clutching his MITB briefcase and teasing that he was gonna get up and cash in a few times. Sheamus nailed his Bicycle Kick and picked up the win. Miz wasn't pleased.

Winner: Sheamus

Miz snuck in the ring and beat down Sheamus with the briefcase and even hit the Skull Crushing Finale on the steel briefcase. He then started to cash in but the ref never rung the bell because Sheamus was still out like a light. Instead, stupid ass R-Truth's music hit and he came out and ran off the Miz thus cancelling his attempt at cashing in.

DAMN. That would have been Awwwwwwwesome.

Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov v.s. Zack Ryder and William Regal

Why in the blue hell did Ryder stop wearing his gimmick of half tights, half pants? They made him stand out at the very least. Santino did some goofy cartwheels and tripped which was funny. Michael Cole just pimped out Ryder for being on NXT even though his rookie was eliminated and he won't be on there anymore, what an idiot. Kozlov planted Ryder with the Iron Curtain and then tagged Santino in to finish him off with some gay looking splash.

Winners: Santino and Kozlov

-

Wade Barrett v.s. Mark Henry

The Nexus is banned from ringside during this match so it should be a clean finish. Nexus came out to the ramp instead to distract Henry. Barrett hurt himself when he hit his Fireman's Carry finisher on Mark to win the match.

Winner: Wade Barrett

-

Nexus remained in the ring and stated that they will at least hear him out if he at least admits that they run the show. John Cena came out to speak with them. Cena apologized to them and asked for the truce. Wade Barrett said no. He wants Cena to join them instead if he meant what he said. Cena said he wouldn't join them and that it was a test because he formed a team that will take on the Nexus at Summerslam and it includes:

Edge, John Morrison, R-Truth, The Great Khali, Chris Jericho, and BRET "THE HITMAN" HART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RAW team hit the ring and cleared Nexus out and stood tall as the show ended. Wow, what an ending! See you next week folks, Stay Classy!
