RDLee's WWE Monday Night Raw Real Time Results - The Master Of Awesome Takes On The Master Of Purple T-Shirts

The WWE Champion Sheamus kicked off Raw by coming to the ring. Cool. I get to use this awesome picture I found.

Sheamus walked around outside the ring and talked smack to a couple kids. He ran down Randy Orton too and bragged about how he is the champion and not Cowboy Bob's son. The Raw GM emailed in and stated that tonight Sheamus will be able to choose his next WWE title challenger at Night of Champions. He also said that he would have to sit in a throne chair on stage and watch all the matches tonight before making his decision later on.

Edge v.s. R-Truth
Good lord, Truth needs a new damn song. I am so sick of it now. He hasn't evolved as a performer since he got back in WWE. Michael Cole was saying he was sick of his entrance too. I never thought me and Cole would agree on anything but I guess there's a time for everything. Sheamus looked on and watched the bout from the top of the ramp. Truth had everything in control until he started showboating for no reason. Edge landed a Spear for the win. Nothing special here. Edge-Ward got on the mic after the match and told Sheamus that until he beat him he could not claim he's beaten anybody.
Winner: Edge

The Great Khali v.s. Chris Jericho
Khali was selling his injured left leg from the attack by Nexus a few weeks ago. I think it's about time for a Jericho face turn. He got such a great reception from the crowd at Summerslam so why not embrace it especially considering he has a DVD coming out soon profiling his career. Not much to this match as expected considering Khali's limitations. Jericho grounded Khali and began working on his leg. Chris went for the Walls but Khali locked him in a Vice Grip until he reached the ropes. Khali also countered a Codebreaker and began some offense until Chris found an opening and flipped him over for the Walls of Jericho. Khali tapped out. Jericho also got on the mic after the match and told Sheamus why he should be considered for the title shot. Khali regained his heat by tossing Jericho out of the ring.
Winner: Chris Jericho

WWE Diva's Championship Match
Jillian Hall v.s. Melina
Just as Melina makes her comeback on TV so does Jillian. I wonder if Melina asked to work with her specifically or something? At least these two can wrestle as it's better to watch then Eve, The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox. This was the best diva's match I've seen for a while but that's not saying much. The crowd reacted well to both women. Melina hit her Sunset Flip Powerbomb into a pin finisher for the win. LayCool showed up on the Titantron after the match and told her that they would be at next week's 900th episode of Raw to make her an offer she couldn't refuse.
Winner and STILL WWE Diva's Champion: Melina

The Nexus out on the stage to a chorus of boos. The General Manager buzzed in before they could speak. He lifted the ban for them being able to compete for titles in the WWE. Wade Barrett walked over to Sheamus and told him to consider their truce over. That's all they can do with the hottest act on Raw today? One line spoken and nothing else? What a waste. Poor choice by WWE writers in my opinon. This is what they will become if this keeps up:

-
The Miz v.s. John Cena
The only bright side to Cena's new attire is that I can finally buy my daughter one of his shirts and it won't be "boyish". Here's a random fun fact from James Sorrells on Twitter: "The Miz is now only 8 days away from over taking Magnum T.A.'s total days as US champ." That's gotta count for something right? Miz looked a million times better in this match then he did a year ago when he first called Cena out. If Miz isn't main eventing WM27 next year I would be shocked. He is the hottest wrestler on all the rosters right now. Shockingly, Super Cena lost the match after Daniel Bryan ran down and clobbered the Miz from behind causing a DQ. Bryan locked in the Crippler Crossface on Miz until the referees pulled him off. The crowd LOVED it.
Winner by DQ: The Miz

Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov v.s. The Uso's (w/Tamina)
The crowd loved Santino. Kozlov is getting a decent rub from him as well. Tamina came out wearing a dress. She seems to have a thing for Mr. Marella which isn't a surprise considering his involvement with all the Diva's over the years. Santino teased using the Cobra early on which caused Jimmy (or Jey?) to run away from him. Funny. Santino got his butt kicked for the first half of the match like usual but eventually tagged in Kozlov who went on a rampage, nailing the headbutt and powerslam. Santino tossed one of the Uso's out of the ring while Kozlov planted the other one with the Iron Curtain for the win. Tamina kept her brother from attacking Santino on the outside and helped him up. Tamina blew Santino a kiss as if she were blowing a poison dart at him. This is just the beginning of the romance. It's nice to have midcard storylines again!
Winners: Santino and Kozlov

Ted Dibiase (w/Maryse) v.s. John Morrison v.s. Randy Orton
I think I say this every week but I don't give a damn about the pairing of Maryse and TD2. They have zero chemistry to me and it seems forced. John Morrison needs to embrace the darkside soon. He is lame as a babyface. Orton on the other hand is on fire as a good guy. I don't see the point of this match considering Randy isn't allowed to have a WWE title shot with Sheamus as champion due to the stipulation they set into place at Summerfest. However, that being said, this was a good bout that had a constant flow which I like in triple threats. Orton absolutely blasted Morrison with a RKO in mid air when he tried a springboard splash. After Randy got the three count Teddy tried to attack him from behind but Orton nailed him with a RKO as well for the hell of it. Vintage Rattlesnake! Er, Wait I mean Vintage Viper!
Winner: Randy Orton

Sheamus says that he will defend his title right now instead of at the PPV. He said he was going to give a title shot to a guy who has never had a title shot and could be the next title shot. He choses Zack Ryder as his opponent for some reason. Zack came out and told Sheamus that he made a big mistake because everyone knows they are looking at the next WWE champion.
Woo, Woo, Woo. We Know It..... Won't Happen..... Ever..... Ever!
-
Sheamus v.s. Zack Ryder
Um.... Uh..... Yeah.... Sheamus nailed Zack with the Pump Kick soon as the bell rung and he pinned him in 3 seconds.
Winner: Sheamus

Sheamus bragged about his win after the match and told us that he wasn't going to have to defend his title for another 30 days. He claimed he would be taking the Night Of Champions ppv off. Nexus music hit and Wade Barrett came out. I love the music. Wade told Sheamus that he would be cashing in his NXT title shot at the PPV. The General Manager chimed in and stated that the match would also involve a few other men so at Night of Champions we will have a 6 pack challenge. Wade Barrett v.s. Chris Jericho v.s. Edge v.s. John Cena v.s. Randy Orton v.s. Sheamus for the WWE title. All the challengers came out to the ring and surrounded Wade Barrett in classic Nexus style, beating him down and tossing him out of the ring. They next layed each other out with their finishers to end the show with Randy Orton standing tall as the last man standing after nailing Cena with the RKO.
Great ending to tonight's show! T
hat's all for me this week. Thanks for joining me tonight and Stay Classy!
