By "Real-time" Mike Rickard
Aug 24, 2009 - 9:00 PM
RAW is coming to you live from Las Vegas, Nevada!
BACKSTAGE: WWE Champion Randy Orton is on hand with Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase). Orton talks about the controversial ending to his match against John Cena when a crazed fan entered the ring. However that wasn't just anyone. Ted DiBiase reveals his brother Bret DiBiase was that fan! Bret explains how he bought a ticket to watch his brother at
Summer Slam. Orton tells Bret that he will never interfere in an Orton match.
Lillian Garcia introduces WWE CEO Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince tells the fans that tonight's guest host is boxer Floyd Mayweather. Vince talks about the controversial ending to last night's Cena/Orton match and assures the fans that a rematch is set for just three weeks away. The match will take place at a new concept PPV known as
Breaking Point. It will feature all submission matches in the main events.
Degeneration X come out. Triple H and Shawn Michaels don't like the good guy Vince-it's like Michael Vick at a PETA convention. Michaels realizes why Vince is so happy; tonight is August 24-it's somebody's birthday! DX puzzle whose birthday it is, excluding Dave Chappelle and Marlee Maitlin from the list until they realize it's Vincent Kennedy McMahon's 84th birthday! Triple H realizes he's wrong then tells the fans it's Vince's 74th birthday! No, wait he's 70. Vince gets mad and tells DX he's 64 years old. DX settle down and tell Vince they have a special video package for him. Kenny Rogers Through the Years plays as a thoughtful video plays. Unfortunately for Vince, it quickly is replaced by a video package of Vince's most embarassing moments. After the video ends, McMahon angrily tells DX he won't forget this. Triple H assures Vince that at his age, he probably will. DX then reveal another surprise for Vince. WWE workers wheel out a big birthday cake. Triple H tells Vince that since this is Vegas, things are done a little bit differently.
DX tell Vince that he can't have a birthday in Vegas without showgirls! A bevy of beauties make their way to the ring, dishing out birthday kisses to Vinnie Mac. Two Cirque Du Soleil performers come out. The men jump into the ring as Vince tells them that their masks are "so gay". Just when you think things might end, DX introduces an Elvis impersonator. Elvis hands McMahon a pair of Elvis sunglasses then asks Vince to shake his hips. The faux "King" then leads the crowd in a verse of
Happy Birthday. Triple H turns Vince's attention to the birthday cake, reminding him it's no ordinary cake. Unfortunately for Vince, "Big" Dick Johnson pops out of the cake and begins dancing. Vince isn't too happy and he promptly throws Johnson out of the ring. DX then ask everyone in the ring to leave as they have a special surprise for Vince. They ask him to stand in the middle of the ring, setting him up for something. However DX aren't the only ones setting someone up; Legacy and Randy Orton run out and try a run-in. DX promptly clears the ring of them. Triple H tells Legacy that since Mayweather isn't there yet, he's making the main event-Legacy and Orton vs. DX and their special partner-Vincent Kennedy McMahon. McMahon then adds that he's making the match a no disqualification match. Vince then tells the fans he has something he's always wanted to say-"and if you're not down with that he's got two words for you..."

BACKSTAGE: Vince McMahon is sung to by Jillian Hall who's dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. She sings a terrible rendition of Happy Birthday and Vince promptly orders her out.
VIDEO: Highlight of Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather at
Wrestlemania XXIV.
Big Show is on the stick. He tells the fans that Floyd Mayweather is doing the smart thing by not showing up. Big Show hasn't forgot about what happened at
Wrestlemania XXIV. Big Show promises to hurt Mayweather. He's not leaving the ring until Mayweather shows up and no one can make him. Jericho chimes in that no one can make him leave either! Moments later, Floyd Mayweather and his entourage are shown making their way into the arena.
After the commercial break, Lillian introduces tonight's guest host (better late than never)-Floyd "Quarter Billion Dollar Man" Mayweather. Mayweather comes out with a entourage nearly as big as the
RAW roster. Mayweather enters the ring as the fans boo the arrogant boxer. Mayweather remembers where he is and says
Monday Night RAW (unfortunately he forgot it starts at 9PM). Mayweather reminds Big Show of what he did to him last year and tells Show he'll do that tonight. Fortunately for Show, he has a September 19th PPV bout. Show tells Mayweather if he messes with him, he won't make the show. Jericho and Mayweather start a staredown. Jericho tells Mayweather he doesn't think he's the greatest boxer today. No, he's more a great showboater. Jericho calls Mayweather "little man" and predicts he'll be knocked out at his comeback fight. Show tells Mayweather that after Marquez (his boxing opponent) knocks him out, he'll clean his clock and finish him off.
Just then, MVP shows up. He tells Big Show and Jericho he can't believe he's bothering someone who's made him a lot of money over the years. Jericho and Show are the Unified Tag Team Champions but they're not too smart. MVP reminds Big Show of the last time Mayweather punched him out. Jericho reminds MVP that Mayweather won the match with 18 of his friends. MVP points out that Big Show could have done the same thing IF he had any friends. Jericho warns MVP to watch what he says to his friend. MVP tells Jericho to shut up. He doesn't want to hear it, the WWE Universe doesn't want to hear it-SHUT UP! MVP tells Jericho the only reason he's on RAW is because he's one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions and he can show up on any show. Big Show asks MVP who's going to beat the champions? MVP asks Mayweather to sign a tag title match at Breaking Point if he can find a partner. Mayweather tells MVP he can have the match tonight if he can find a partner. MVP wastes no time as he introduces his partner-"World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry.
3. MVP and "World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry vs. The Big Show & Chris Jericho (Champions): The match is joined in progress. Big Show slams MVP down to the mat as Floyd Mayweather watches from ringside. Side headlock on MVP. MVP slugs away at Show, trying to escape. MVP escapes and bounces off the ropes only to run into a big boot from Show. Show then applies a full nelson on MVP. Big Show wears down MVP before slamming him down to the mat while he has the hold on. Tag to Jericho who continues the punishment on MVP. Jericho baits Henry, causing the referee to admonish Henry while Big Show chokes MVP. A cocky Jericho gets overconfident, giving MVP a chance to hit a clothesline. MVP nearly makes the tag but Jericho stops him, pulling him away from Henry. Jericho applies a front facelock as referee Charles Robinson checks on the hold. The fans chant "MVP" as MVP gets to his feet. MVP elbows his way out of the hold but Jericho throws them out of the ring. Mayweather talks trash to Jericho telling him "You're next". The referee begins counting MVP out but Jericho follows his opponent out of the ring, rolling him back into the ring. Once back in the ring, Jericho taunts MVP, kicking him in the head then following up with a headbutt. The two men begin exchanging blows with MVP getting the upper hand. MVP goes for the tag but Jericho keeps him away, backing him into the heel corner. Blind tag by Show. The big man beats MVP down then grabs his leg, dropping an elbow on MVP's left leg not once but twice! Big Show twists MVP's leg then slams him down to the mat. Tag to Jericho. Jericho whips MVP into the ropes. Double clothesline and both men go down as
RAW cuts to commercial.
After the break, Jericho is still in control of the match, applying a front facelock on MVP. MVP gets his hope spot in only for Jericho to crush him down. Big Show gets a cheap shot in, headbutting MVP from outside the ring. Jericho trash talks MVP some more then goes for the Lionsault. MVP rolls out of the way and crawls to his corner, making the tag. Big punch from Henry followed by a headbutt as Jericho goes down. Henry blocks the Codebreaker then goes for the "World's Strongest Slam". However Jericho counters and hits a DDT on Henry. Cover on Henry for a two count. Tag to MVP who comes in refreshed (despite a short break). MVP hits the Ballin' Elbow. Jericho fights back and lands an enziguri. Henry runs in and knocks Big Show out of the ring. MVP then hands a pair of brass knuckles to Jericho as the referee gets Henry back to his corner. MVP punches Jericho with the knuckles and Jericho goes down. MVP covers Jericho and we have new tag team champions!

4. Boxing Exhibition Match: Chavo Guerrero vs. Hornswaggle: The referee goes over the rules with Chavo and Hornswaggle then tells Chavo he won't need his gloves. Instead, he has to wear giant size boxing gloves (per Mayweather's orders). Chavo puts on ridiculous size boxing gloves as the match begins. Chavo finds it impossible to fight with the giant gloves on and Hornswaggle peppers him with blows, evern knocking him down. Chavo finally has enough and pulls a Roddy Piper, bodyslamming Hornswaggle (after ditching his giant gloves). The referee promptly disqualifies Chavo.
WINNER: Hornswaggle (by disqualification).
After the match, Chavo goes to the top rope, apparently going for a Frogsplash. Fortunately for Hornswaggle, Evan "Air" Bourne runs in for the save, hitting Chavo with the Shooting Star Press.
