Worth Your Money? ROH's DVD Retail Debut - "Bloodstained Honor": Samoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe, CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave, Colt Cabana vs. Homicide, and Much More
By James Bullock
Aug 16, 2008 - 9:32 AM

Today we look at one half of ROH’s first DVD retail releases. Ring of Honor felt it was best for their company to give new and old fans alike a series of compilations. This one is the bloodiest one in the set. Ring of Honor is trying to grow, and with this release, they hope to gain and retain a slew of fans. But the only way to do that is putting out DVDs that are Worth Your Money.

Bloodstained Honor

Lenny Leonard & Dave Prazak welcome us to the not for the weak of heart DVD. After doing some name dropping (Mick Foley specifically), we shoot to the first match…possibility the sickest one in the set.

ROH World title Steel Cage match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Jay Briscoe w/Mark Briscoe

Jay tried to make a quick run to the door, but got caught between the cage and Joe. Joe just abused Jay’s arm to prevent any climbing from the Briscoe. Jay was able to drop Joe, telling his brother that he’d rather stay in and make sure Joe can’t get up before leaving. Joe took in all the attacks Jay had, chopping Jay’s chest red in retaliation. Joe powered Jay off the mat with a German suplex after Jay missed the enzuguri. Joe began using Jay’s head as a lawn dart. When Joe went to lock the door, Mark tried to stop him. Joe kicked the cage door into Mark’s face. When Joe returned to Jay, Jay’s head was split open. Joe decided to get a little disturbing after raking Jay’s face into the cage by using Jay’s blood as lipstick. Joe couldn’t be any happier as he face washed the blood off the Briscoe’s head. After two running boots to Jay’s face, Joe was having the time of his life. Jay somehow came out of the corner with a rush of energy, kicking Joe in the face. Jay, through the crimson mask, made a climb. Joe ran up to meet him, belly to back superplexing Jay onto the back of his bloody head! When Joe went for the cover, Jay got a shoulder up. Once again, Jay used a rush of energy to turn the tides long enough to make a climb. Joe met him on the top rope. Jay pulled Joe off the top with the ace crusher. Several referees had made it to ringside to make sure Jay could continue. Jay proved he could, using a low blow to led into a clothesline, downing the champ. The battle went to the top rope again. Jay was able to kick Joe off the top, but slipped, catching his groin on the top rope in the process. Joe returned the kick with an enzuguri. Jay was stuck between the cage and the ropes. Joe rushed him with a boot to the face, ripping the side of the cage open. Joe didn’t notice it, going for another kick. Mark pulled the cage open, fighting for Jay to escape. Joe pulled him back in, locking in the STF. Jay made it to the ropes to break the hold. In one of the most disgusting sights I’ve ever witnessed in a wrestling ring, Jay‘s head rose off the mat to show strings of clotted blood hanging from it. Jay somehow made it to his feet, hitting the Jay Driller. Mark climbed the cage in hopes of helping his brother escape. AJ Styles ran out, Styles Clashing Mark on the floor. Back in the cage was Jay making a run up the steel. Joe grabbed him from behind, putting him in position for the Muscle Buster. Joe jumped off the top, executing the Muscle Buster for the three count.

We shoot back to the studios in preparation for the next match. With the feud between The Prophecy and The Second City Saints raging, it was now time to end it.

Death Before Dishonor 2 Part 2

7/24/04

Chicago Street Fight: CM Punk & Ace Steel vs. BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff

The fans were behind their hometown boys as BJ & Maff did everything to avoid entering the ring. Instead of coming after The Second City Saints, The Prophecy pulled them out of the ring. This worked for BJ & Maff in the ring as they isolated Steel from Punk. Punk was able to separate BJ from Maff by pulling him to the floor. With The Prophecy on the floor, Punk dove on top of Maff. Ace only met a chair from BJ on the tope attempt. Maff threw Punk headfirst into the same chair. Ace was bleeding profusely as Maff whipped him from one end of the arena into the guardrails to the other. Punk got up to show he was bleeding as well. The Prophecy took their leather belts off, whipping their opponents. Ace was able to get a hold of one of the belts, clotheslining BJ with it. BJ recovered, taking down Punk as the action spilled back to the floor. Ace grabbed BJ, who had pushed a table into the ring, sending him in the rails. Punk used a ladder to vice Maff’s head for Ace to attempt to crush it with the chair. Punk face washed BJ to set up BJ for the table that Ace forced against his throat. Ace placed a chair in front of his face, allowing Punk to slide the ladder across the table, into the chair, ripping Whitmer’s head open. Maff was flopping on the floor, shooting blood from his face as well. After using the belt buckle, Punk used a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire to rip apart the back and sides of The Prophecy. Punk reared back for another shot, but BJ was there. BJ used the 2x4 side Russian leg sweep Punk. With Punk prone, spread-eagle, Maff drove the wire into Punk’s groin. They did the same sickening act to Ace before anally raping Steel. Thankfully the 2x4 didn’t go through Ace’s pants. Punk tried to fight back when he saw Maff push in a barbwire board. BJ put Punk on the top rope to pitch him onto the board. Instead, Punk kicked Whitmer into a DDT. Whitmer blocked it, dropping Punk chest first into the wired board. Maff set the board up in the corner. Punk stopped himself from getting whipped into the board, but couldn’t stop the cannonball splash that Maff used to send Punk through the barbwire board. Punk had to be pulled out of the wire, with Ace setting up the remaining piece of wire board. Ace was able to send Maff into the board, destroying the wood and Maff’s arm. All four men got to their feet, finding themselves with chairs in hand. In a game of chair chicken, both teams gave the other the chance to knock the other team out. SCS won the duel after breaking the chairs over BJ & Maff’s heads. The Prophecy exited the ring, throwing in chairs. All of a sudden, the fans started doing the same. With the referee huddled against the ropes, the ring started to overflow with chairs. The wrestlers reentered, with Punk getting half nelson suplexed on the chair-covered mat. Punk recovered, hitting a German suplex on Maff. Punk set up the table they used earlier as the fans chanted, “ROH!” I would say the crowd had risen to their feet, but they couldn’t sit down to rise. Maff used a ladder to make a bridge between the two guardrails adjacent from the entrance. Ace was able to turn the tables, putting Maff on the ladder. Punk jumped off the top rope, splashing Maff. Ace returned to the ring with BJ, Tombstoning Whitmer through the table to pick up the victory in this classic.

Leonard & Dave weren’t done watching CM Punk wrestle. Next up is some Dog Collar fury between Punk and Jimmy Rave.

Manhattan Mayhem

5/7/05

Dog Collar match: CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave w/The Embassy

This is the first match with the original commentary. The problem with the commentary is the fact they give away the ending by stating that next month Punk would face Rave in a steel cage match in Chicago. Rave jumps Punk from behind as Punk got chained up. Punk made a comeback, using the chain to clothesline Rave before Garvin stomping the crown jewel. Punk stayed on top of Rave before getting distracted by a chair. Punk was showing off, not noticing that Rave was behind him. Rave pulled the chain, sending Punk face first into the chair, which collided with the steel ring post to cause a ricochet effect. Punk rose off the floor, bleeding a gusher. Rave used the chain to open the cut even wider, which made Punk’s face the crimson mask before they could come back into the ring. When they did return to the ring, Rave focused on the forehead of the Straight Edge icon. With the blood loss, Punk couldn’t sustain any momentum. Rave decided to use the chain instead of Punk’s arms to curb stomp CM. Punk valiantly kicked out, blocking the Rave Clash. Punk exploded off the ropes, hitting a shining wizard. Punk was on fire as he came off the ropes with clotheslines that would make the Ultimate Warrior jealous. Rave was able to use the momentum of an Irish whip to pull Punk down with a chained crossface. Just as Punk broke free and locked in a single leg Boston crab, Prince Nana climbed onto the apron. This allowed Rave to used the chain to low blow Punk. Rave took so much time setting up Punk for the Pepsi Plunge that Punk was able to back drop Jimmy off the top. Punk used several power bombs in hope of pinning Rave. Instead, Punk moved to the Anaconda Vise. Punk had to let go of the hold to prevent being jumped by The Embassy. It wasn’t until Jade Chung entered the ring did Punk lose his focus long enough for Rave to recover and whack Punk in the head with a chair. Rave followed up with four more sickening chair shots, knocking Punk out for the three count.

Prazak & Leonard couldn’t get over faction warfare. The first and only Steel Cage Warfare match between Generation Next and The Embassy is up next.

Steel Cage Warfare

12/3/05

Steel Cage Warfare match: Generation Next (Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Jack Evans & Matt Sydal) vs. The Embassy (Prince Nana, Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, & Abyss)

This match is like the old WCW Wargames matches, except just one cage (with no door and no roof) for the wrestlers to go at it. Also unlike the original concept, there were eliminations instead of a single fall. Jimmy Rave and Austin Aries start it off, with Rave trying his best to stay out of the cage. Aries made him regret it by beating Rave around the caged ring. Rave’s only safe haven was in the ring, but that also became a beating ground for Rave. It wasn’t until Aries tried to pitch Rave into the steel did Rave finally get some offense in. It didn’t last long, with Aries asking the fans if Rave should be given any mercy. Of course the fans would say no. Alex Shelley, with chair in hand, was the next entrant (do the babyfaces ever get the numbers advantage in these kind of matches). Aries was able to keep them off of him, slamming both men into the cage. When Aries tried to splash The Embassy members, Jimmy grabbed Aries, pitching him off the top. They followed up with a spear/clothesline double team, leveling Aries. Shelley was having a great time, ridiculing Aries, as well as the fans. Rave paid Aries back, pitching him into the cage. The countdown began, bringing out Matt Sydal to even the odds. Sydal came in like a house of fire, pitching both opponents into the cage before hitting that back standing moonsault on both. Sydal helped Austin to a double flying forearm their opposition. With Shelley down, Sydal and Aries tied Rave’s legs around Shelley’s head before putting them in a double bow & arrow. Sydal tried to use Shelley’s shirt to choke out Rave. Abyss stomped to the ring as the next entrant for The Embassy. Sydal and Aries tried to rush the big man, but just got swatted away. Abyss tossed Sydal higher than the cage, flap jacking him. Shelley and Abyss had a gentle, masked giant thing going on, with Abyss doing everything Shelley ordered him to for a high five. I guess my definition of gentle is much different than yours. Aries tried to fight Abyss, but got darted into the cage. Sydal was next to be tossed into the steel, as Aries’ forehead was ripped open by a chair shot by Shelley. Alex followed up with the skull f*** into the chair, covering the chair in Aries’ blood. Roderick Strong ran out after the countdown, backbreaking Shelley three times in a row before trying to chop Abyss down. When Jimmy turned around, Strong sent him face first into the steel. In an amazing show of strength, Strong was able to lift Abyss up for the gut buster, but couldn’t drop him. Abyss got down, belly to belly suplexing Strong into the cage. Sydal hit the ropes, trying to attack Rave. Rave avoided the attack, causing Sydal to run into the Blackhole Slam by the big man. Rave picked Sydal up, using the Pedigree to pin and eliminate Matt Sydal.

Rave decided to take a powder on the floor. Strong followed Rave, but got pitched into the guardrails. It was announced that one-minute was left before the arrival of Nana when Abyss avalanche splashed Aries. Strong had a trickle of blood running down his face as he chopped Rave against the cage on the floor. Nana strutted down the aisle, asking the people, “How do you like it, huh?” Nana laid the boots to Aries and Strong to the chagrin of his team. The funny thing is every time Nana would kick someone; he’d run back, making sure they couldn’t get a hold of him. Abyss held Strong to allow Nana to pound on the bloody head of Strong. Nana was having a gay old time, strutting around the ring like an epileptic deer. Before Jack Evans could enter the fray, Jade Chung came down the ramp. Chung, Nana’s former footstool, lambasted Nana into chasing her. Evans ran down the ramp, double moonsaulting off the top of the cage on top of the in chase Embassy. Evans was somehow still alive after the fall, which saw him hit the floor back of the headfirst. Aries and Strong followed, attacking their downed opponents. Abyss was all alone in the cage, allowing Gen Next to triple team him. After Strong hit the gut buster, Jack ran to the top of the cage. Rave tried to follow Evans, but got caught by Strong. Jack used Rave’s body as a springboard, as Rave laid across Strong’s shoulders, hitting the moonsault on Abyss to eliminate him.

Generation Next took turns striking the crotched Rave. Shelley tried to help, but got obliterated by Jack. Evans came off the top rope with the 630 Splash, but hit Shelley’s knees instead. Shelley used the Air Raid Crash to pin Evans. Nana watched from the door as Shelley dropkicked Strong in the face. Aries was able to jump Shelley, causing Nana to make an exit. Strong grabbed Rave for the half nelson backbreaker, but ended up getting speared. Aries reversed the Pedigree by Rave, but stepped into the Shell Shock. Strong broke up the pin. Nana wanted to use his butt to crush his opponents’ skulls. Instead Nana hit his own men. Nana was so happy; he turned around before seeing who he hit. Nana got caught between his partners, and his opposition, getting dropped. Strong got a hold of Rave, backbreaking Rave four times in a row. As Strong put Rave in the Stronghold, Aries drilled Shelley into the seat of the chair with the Brain Buster, bringing a double elimination. Nana was now all alone with Aries and Strong. They beat him from pillar to post, with Nana doing the Flair drop. Strong hit another backbreaker, leaving Nana open for the 450 Splash by Aries to give the win to Generation Next.

Our next match shows Colt Cabana and Homicide trying to kill each other during ROH’s 4th Anniversary celebration.

4th Anniversary Show

2/25/06

Ghetto Street Fight: Colt Cabana vs. Homicide w/Julius Smokes

The fight came barreling down the ring, into the ringside area, with Cabana beating Homicide like a sick dog. Cabana clawed Homicide’s face before trying to crush his skull between his fist and the steel ring post. Homicide was able to elbow Cabana to the mat when they entered the ring. Cabana came back with a big boot to the mouth before going after his head again. Smokes spit on Cabana, trying to help his boy recover. It helped as Homicide sent Cabana to the floor, head first into the guardrail. Homicide pitched in a couple of chairs. Cabana was able to grab one of those chairs, only to get it used on him. Colt was bleeding from colliding with the steel. Homicide used the steel ROH logo to crack Cabana in the head again. Cabana’s face was blood coated as Homicide chair beat Cabana. Homicide set the logo in the corner as Cabana yelled that he wouldn’t quit. Knowing the effectiveness of a Gillette, Smokes handed a razor to Homicide, who used it to scar Cabana’s head. Cabana somehow fought back after being tossed into the logo. Homicide had to go for the eyes to stop the onslaught of Colt. Homicide taunted Cabana, using the Lasso in El Paso. The fans wanted a table, and Homicide didn’t have any qualms with that. Homicide went for the big splash as Smokes set up the table. Cabana exploded off the mat, taking Homicide down with a Lariat. Cabana flipped over Homicide, choking him with own arm in an attempt to injure his right shoulder further. Cabana went for a moonsault, but missed it as well. Homicide locked in the camel clutch, using the time for Smokes to hand him a coat hanger. Homicide began to choke Cabana with the hanger. Cabana refused to give up, so the referee stopped the match for him. Cabana grabbed the mic after the match, asking for Homicide to kill him if he wanted this thing to end. Cabana gets the match restarted because he didn’t quit. Homicide ace crushes Cabana immediately before going for the Cop Killa. Cabana spun out of it, shoulder breaking Homicide. Cabana went cannibal, beating the shoulder. I don’t know how much damage that would do, but it’s pretty messed up. Before Cabana could chair Homicide, Smokes grabbed Cabana’s boots. This allowed Homicide to whack Cabana in the back with another chair. Ricky Reyes ran out, helping Homicide tie Cabana to the top rope. Homicide whipped a chair to Cabana’s face. The sound was sickening, causing the referee to call for the bell again. And just when you think it’s over, Cabana gets the microphone. Homicide couldn’t believe this. Cabana brought Homicide’s son’s name into this, causing Homicide to hit the ring again. Cabana was fighting both Homicide and Smokes as the bell rang a third time. Cabana was going to send Homicide through the table, but Smokes stopped him by pouring a bottle of rubbing alcohol in his face. Homicide picked Cabana off the apron, piledriving him on the table. The table didn’t give, causing it to slip underneath them. Cabana’s head smacked the concrete, knocking Cabana out to end this match for a final time.

Prazak & Leonard talked about the war between ROH and Combat Zone Wrestling. At the 100th Show, it came to a head.

100th Show

4/22/06

Team ROH (Samoa Joe, Adam Pearce, and BJ Whitmer) vs. Team CZW (Necro Butcher, Super Dragon, and Chris Hero)

Team ROH rushes the ring, taking it to the CZW contingent. The opening moments of this fight, which immediately went to the outside, saw Joe taking Hero into the crowd with the Ole Kick, and Claudio Castagnoli, sporting a rhinestone ROH embroidered jacket, taking a barbwire baseball bat from CZW owner John Zandig. On the other side of the area was Pearce, who was bleeding the left side of his head horribly, crowning Necro Butcher with a chair. Super Dragon took some punishment from Joe and BJ, who double suplexed him into a row of chairs. Joe was smacking and tossing Hero around the ringside area as Pearce continued to brawl with Butcher. Whitmer was having a great time beating up Super Dragon in the audience. Joe was able to help Pearce, going Samoan slappy on Necro. Pearce went for the first pin on Necro in the ring. Necro powered off the mat, only to get power bombed onto a stack of chairs. Super Dragon got into it with a cowardly fan, who only manned up when BJ whacked Dragon in the head with a chair. Joe came over to make the fan feel better, choking the masked man. Necro paid Joe back by cracking him in the head with a broken table piece. In the ring, Dragon senton splashed Whitmer off the top for a near fall. BJ was able to recover, sending Dragon shoulder first into the steel ring post. Hero ran over to save his partner as Necro stumbled around the ring in pursuit of Joe. Necro set up two chairs, seat to seat, in the ring in hopes of power bombing Joe through them. Joe fought out of it, belly to back suplexing Necro through the chairs. Hero had a concerned look on his face as Joe went for an unsuccessful cover. Joe wasn’t done with Necro, cracking him on the top of his head via a chair. Hero was having fun, doing his little antics while attacking BJ. Joe pulled out a table, setting it up beside the guardrail. Hero used the Cravat-plex to gain another near fall as Necro drove a chair into Joe’s head. Pearce slid into the ring as Necro did the same, leading to a boxing match between the two. The heavy hands of Necro leveled the crimson covered Pearce. Pearce got up, using his quick hands to knock Necro off of his feet. Hero slipped in, disposing of Pearce. On the floor, Joe drove Dragon through the table he brought out. Joe slipped into the ring, confronting Hero. Joe kneed Hero in the mouth, but couldn’t wash his face as Dragon pitched Samoa Joe to the floor. Necro followed Joe, beating him and BJ. Just as Pearce recovered, splashing Hero from the top, Dragon came flying off the top adjacent to Pearce, double stomping the back of his head. Dragon followed up by curb stomping “Scrap Iron.” Whitmer hit the ring, clotheslining Dragon before Exploder Suplexing Super Dragon head first through a chair. Necro used a chair to slam another chair into BJ’s face, allowing Dragon to double stomp BJ’s head into the seat of a chair for a shocking near fall. Whitmer was bleeding after the attack. Dragon wasn’t done, picking BJ up before Psycho Driving him off the apron, through a table on the floor. Hero took the time to chair attack Joe as the referee’s checked on BJ. Joe recovered, going after CZW owner John Zandig. Hero helped his boss, with Zandig giving some of the weakest looking punches to Joe’s stomach. The referee’s didn’t agree with the interference, getting into a scuffle. The CZW ref helped lure the ROH official into an ambush by Necro. Claudio Castagnoli ran out, attacking the CZW guys. Just as it appeared all was well, Claudio knocked Joe out with a European uppercut, showing his true allegiance to his partner Chris Hero, and CZW. Claudio helped Hero spinning neck break/power bomb Pearce for the pin.

Leonard & Prazak talked about how Jimmy Jacobs nearly lost Lacey to Colt Cabana. Jimmy physically stood up for Lacey when Cabana dumped her.

5th Year Festival: Chicago

2/24/07

Windy City Deathmatch: Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Cabana came out, preparing to beat Jacobs with the Chicago flag. Cabana decided chairs were better in this kind of fight. Jacobs was able to avoid the wild swings, but Cabana had a whole bunch of hatred and, of course, crowd support to easily turn the tides in this fight when he needed to. Cabana propped Jimmy on a table, but Lacey stopped him from splashing Jacobs. Lacey tried to jump Cabana, but got caught in Cabana’s arms. This gave Jacobs the chance to clip the left knee of Cabana. Lacey was going to punch Cabana in the groin, but got stopped by Daze Haze. Daze chased Lacey to the back as Cabana slammed Jacobs’ head in each corner. Cabana jumped the floor, pulling out a ladder. Before Cabana could slip the ladder in, Jacobs dropkicked the ladder into Cabana’s chest. Cabana was able to comeback with the bionic elbow. When Jacobs’ head rose from the mat, he was bleeding. Cabana revealed he had scissors in his elbow pad. Cabana wanted to drive the scissors into Jacobs’ face. Jimmy moved, causing Cabana to impale the top turnbuckle. Jacobs whacked the shocked Cabana in the back with a chair before looking for his railroad spike. Cabana pulled out the spike from his kneepad, splitting Jacobs’ head further. Jacobs was able to crotch Cabana on the middle rope, using the flagpole to break the back of Cabana. Jacobs used the broken flagpole to hammer the jagged wood into Cabana’s face. Cabana was bleeding as bad as Jacobs at this point. Cabana watched as Jacobs used the Chicago flag to wipe the blood from his eyes. Jacobs grabbed the chair to beat Cabana around the ring. Jacobs tried to execute the Contra Code, but got spiked in the head with the scissors instead. Cabana was ready to end it, but Brent Albright ran out, suplexing Cabana on his head. Thankfully for Cabana, BJ Whitmer was here to help him. Whitmer disposed of both Jacobs and Albright, allowing Cabana to drop on both men. Cabana pulled out a hammer from underneath the ring before grabbing the railroad spike. Cabana missed the spike, hammering the top of Jacobs’ head. If that wasn’t enough, Cabana started throwing chairs at Jacobs before moonsaulting Jacobs for a near fall. Cabana grabbed the ladder, setting it up between the ring and the guardrails. Jacobs was setting up a table on the other side. Lacey ran out, pushing Cabana on top of the table from the top rope. Jacobs was looking to senton splash Cabana through the table from the top of the ladder. And Jacobs did just that. Jacobs pushed Cabana back in for a shocking near fall. Jacobs set up another ladder, this time in the corner of the ring. Jacobs was going to spear Cabana through it, but Cabana sidestepped it, sending Jacobs through the table. Cabana grabbed one of Lacey’s shoes, spiking Jimmy in the face before Colt 45’ing both Lacey and Jacobs to get the bloody victory.

We wanted some great tag action to close out this DVD. And what better two teams than The Briscoes and Kevin Steen & El Generico?

Death Before Dishonor V: Night 1

8/10/07

The Briscoes vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico

The fight begins on the floor, with Jay and Steen going into the crowd immediately. Generico crowns Mark with a chair near the ring. The announcers make a run for it as Steen and Jay head their way. Generico threw a table into the audience, hitting Jay. Mark was in the ring as Steenerico beat down his brother. Mark ran up the ropes, diving on top of Generico. When Mark got up, Steen cracked him in the head with a chair. Steen followed up by power bombing Mark through the table. Mark stopped Steen’s celebration with a chair shot of his own. All four men were going at it, throwing chairs and the broken table at each other. Once they were done throwing chairs at each other, they started throwing each other into the row of chairs the people were sitting in. Generico’s back smacked the floor after a suplex by Jay. Generico recovered, dropping Jay face first into a chair. Steen fought back, fisherman busting Mark on a chair. In the ringside area, Generico tornado DDT’ed Jay. Generico tried to Yakuza kick Jay, but got super kicked instead. Mark and Steen barreled into the ringside area with Mark ace crushing Steen. Steen called for Mama Steen as Jay’s face poured blood. The Briscoes slammed Generico back first into the guardrails, taking them down. Steen speared Mark into the next rail. Steen shook off a kick to the face, trying to throw a guardrail on The Briscoes. Generico used the guardrail he was taken through to Michinoku drive Mark onto. Jay hoisted Steen up, belly to back suplexing Kevin through the ringside table. Steen reversed another suplex on the floor, pulling out a table to use on Jay. Steen set the table up, pushing Jay into the ring. This led to a fistfight in the middle of the ring. Steen only could win by going after the cut forehead of Jay. Generico flew off the top, cross body blocking Jay. Generico turned around into a missile dropkick by Mark. Make spun into a power bomb by Steen, leaving all four men down. When they rose, everyone had chairs. Mark got clobbered by Steen, Steen by Jay, Jay by Generico, Generico by Mark, downing everyone again. Jay took Steen over the top with him. Mark got up, gabbing Generico with the t-bone suplex before setting up for the Cutthroat Driver through two chairs. Generico reversed it, but couldn’t do his move due to Jay cracking him in the back with a chair. They pitched Generico into the air, destroying the chairs with Generico’s body. Steen ran in, breaking another chair over Mark’s head. Steen pulled Mark to the corner. Before Steen could moonsault off, Jay pushed him off the top, through the table on the floor Steen set up earlier. Generico ran over, kicking Jay in the face. Mark got up, helping his brother hit the super power bomb neck breaker, only for Steen to pull the referee out of the ring to stop the count. The Briscoes called for the Doomsday Device, getting a near fall again due to Steen breaking up the pin. Steen was able to back drop Jay to the floor after dropping Mark across the top rope throat first. Steen pulled out a ladder, driving the top of it into Jay’s head. Steen propped the ladder in the corner, only for Mark to back drop him into it. Mark balanced the bent ladder, making the climb. Before Mark could jump, Generico pulled him off with the ace crusher. Jay drove the ladder into the side of Steen’s head, setting up for the Jay Driller on it. Steen low blowed his way out of it, Package Piledriving Jay on the ladder to pick up the victory.

Dave Prazak & Lenny Leonard thanked us for watching this DVD release before plugging the ROH website.

Is It Worth Your Money: ROH knew that a mix of blood and big stars would get the fans attention when it came to seeing this release on store shelves. And I have to give it to them, they put together a DVD that not only has the bloodshed, but also the great stiff action that makes ROH what it is today. Plus there are some gems in this set, including the Joe/Briscoe Cage match and the Six Man brawl at the 100th Show. In between those matches are some great matches that span a nice chunk of the ROH timeline. Out of the two DVDs (Stars of Honor being the other), this is definitely the stronger of the two releases, and it’s a nice addition to any wrestling DVD collection, or for a ROHbot who’s missing some of these great matches. Bloodstained Honor Is Worth Your Money.
