Before I begin, the commercials in the following Vintage Collection review could be deemed NSFW, so just be careful when watching them.
Episode 65: MATCH#1: CURT HENNIG w/Rick Rude vs. CHRIS JERICHO
DATE OF MATCH: December 29, 1997
The coverage begins, and Hennig has a side headlock on Jericho. Y2J sends him across but Curt hits back with a Shoulder Block. Chris ducks a dropkick attempt from Perfect, and nails his opponent with a clothesline. Hennig rolls to the outside, and talk’s tactics with Rude, before heading back in.
Perfect gains the offence, chopping and punching Jericho in the corner. Hennig taunts, and Y2J counters with punches and kicks of his own in the corner, and then sends him across, but the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rollah, is countered by Curt, then Perfect applies a chinlock-type move. Jericho counters with a Jawbreaker, and is on the assault again. An attempted Lionsault is countered however, and the Hennig Plex gets the three.
Post-match, Jericho hits the turnbuckle post with a chair on the outside, and yells “I’ve had enough”.

COMMERCIAL:
MATCH#2: SCOTT AND RICK STEINER vs. BRET AND OWEN HART
DATE OF MATCH: JANUARY 11, 1994
We begin with Scott applying a side headlock on the Hitman. Bret escapes by sending Steiner into the ropes, but receives a shoulder block for his troubles, sending him to the outside. Back in the ring, and both men exchange armbars, before Scott sends Bret across. Steiner looks for a Powerslam, but Hart counters and gets a near fall with a rollup. Hitman with a modified arm drag, into an armbar, then the tag to Owen is made.
Rocket windmills the arm, then applies an armbar, but Steiner powerslams Hart, and tags in Rick. Both men with a good amateur wrestling demonstration before they both get back to their feet. Tie-up, Steiner works on the arm, then whips Owen across, but Rocket counters the whip, before jumping right into a slam from the Dog-Faced Gremlin. Rick misses the elbow, but counters Hart and connects a back suplex for a near fall. Steiner grabs the arm, but Hart counters, and then flips over his opponent and nails a German Suplex for a two count. Scott gets the tag, whips Owen across, but the King of Harts nails a jumping calf kick, which brings a near fall. Rocket connects a Northern Lights suplex, then a pin attempt, bothy receiving near falls. Scott powers out of the attempt, and hits a double underhook suplex, for a near fall. Both men make the tag, and Bret and Rick are legal.
After Steiner pushes his opponent away, they tie-up and Rick applies an armbar. Hart looks like he’s escaped with a slam, but the dog-faced gremlin keeps the hold applied. The hold is applied for a long time, before the Hitman finally breaks out of it with a knee on the now running Steiner. Bret with a headbutt, and a slam, before missing the running elbow. Rick goes back to the arm, as we hit commercial.
COMMERCIAL:
We return with Rick Steiner with a Camel Clutch on Owen Hart. The tag is made to Scott, who continues the punishment with a suplex lift, into a pliedriver. This brings a near fall, as Bret breaks up the attempt. Steiner throws Rocket out of the ring, and the ref starts the count. Owen to the apron, and Scott tries to knock him off, but the King of Harts counters, and slingshots Big Poppa Pump out of the ring. Rocket makes the tag to his brother, and the Hitman begins the attack with an Inverted Atomic Drop, into a clothesline, which brings a near fall. Hart hits a backbreaker, then nails the second rope elbow for another near fall. Bret with a headbutt, then tries to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Rick breaks up the attempt. Owen comes in, and he tries to lock the Sharpshooter on, but the dog-faced gremlin breaks that up as well.
Scott puts Owen up on his shoulders, and Rick heads up top, but Bret grabs ahold of Rick, whilst Rocket turns it into a roll up for a near fall. Every man in the ring, and Owen has a side headlock on Big Poppa Pump, who whips him into the ropes, and Rocket knocks Hitman and Rick Steiner out of the ring. Scott heads up top, and attacks Bret on the outside with an Axe Handle. Rocket then springboards out of the ring onto Rick Steiner. The referee counts out everyone, as Scott is whipped into the guardrail by the Hitman. Referees come out to break the four up, with the Steiners ending up in the ring, and the Harts on the outside, heading to the back.

COMMERCIAL:
MATCH#3: WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
TRIPLE H (c) vs. JEFF HARDY
DATE OF MATCH: APRIL 12, 2001
The footage begins with Triple H decimating Hardy. A right hand knocks Jeff down, then Helmsley throws him out of the ring. Stephanie watches the match backstage, as Hardy counters the Game into a headscissors. Jeff hits two dropkicks, and comes off the ropes, but runs straight into a Pedigree. Hardy counters this with a leg drop between the legs of the Champion, followed by a dropkick to the face for a near fall. The charismatic enigma pummels Hunter with punches in the corner, until the King of Kings throws him half way across the ring. HHH sends Jeff into the corner, but Hardy counters with Whisper in the Wind, which brings another near fall. Jeff comes off the ropes once again, but Trips uses that momentum, to send Hardy to the outside.
Helmsley heads out, and tries to greet Hardy’s head to the ring steps, but is countered, and his head meets them instead. We see Steph watching again, as Jeff goes running and jumping off the barricade, right into a Triple H powerslam. Hunter tries to whip Jeff, but is countered again, and the game is sent into the barricade. Hardy jumps off the apron, but is countered into another powerslam. Jeff finally meets the ring steps, then is thrown back inside for more punishment. Jeff tries to fight back, but runs into a Harley Race high knee by Hunter. The King of Kings follows this with mounted punches to the face, and then choking his opponent on the middle rope.
HHH starts choking Hardy in the corner with his foot, and then whips the challenger hard into another corner. Helmsley then applies a Sleeper hold, and Hardy escapes with a jawbreaker. Jeff continues the fight with a Russian Leg Sweep, then heads up top, but Triple H throws the referee into the ropes, leaving the enigma hanging on the top rope. Referee Tim White didn’t like that, and gets in the face of the Game, only to be shoved down. As Hunter looks for a superplex, Jeff’s brother Matt comes down to the ring with a chair and takes out the Game. Jeff Hardy then jumps off the top with the Swanton Bomb, and we have a new champion.

MAIN EVENT: WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
LUMBERJACK MATCH
‘Nature Boy’ RIC FLAIR (c) vs. STING
DATE OF MATCH: JULY 7, 1990
The match begins with a pair of tie-ups, which Sting wins both times. Both men WOO!, and Sting’s gets the bigger reaction. Sting with a side headlock, sends Flair off the ropes into a shoulder block. Both men setup again, and go for another tie-up. Naitch drives Sting into the corner, and gets a cheap shot in with the shoulder. Ric tries to chop Sting, but all they seem to do is give him strength, and the Stinger whips the Nature Boy across, and gives him a Gorilla Press slam. Sting arm drags Flair out of the corner, then connects with a dropkick. Naitch rolls out onto the rampway and Sting quickly follows. Flair chops again, and it still doesn’t affect the Stinger, so the Nature Boy starts to back away up the rampway, but receives am Armdrag onto the ramp, then is clotheslined back into the ring by Sting.
The challenger gets some shots in, and the Champion pleads for mercy in the corner. Sting hesitates for a second, and Flair gets in a thumb to the eye. Ric starts to take control with a Snapmare, then a running knee drop. Naitch nails a suplex, but Sting gets right back up, nailing a pair of clotheslines, then jumping off the top for a Cross Body, which brings him a two count. Flair starts begging for mercy again, and rolls outside, which brings up to commercial.
COMMERCIAL:
We return to a test of strength, in which Sting looks like he has control, but Flair nails him with forearms, and a chop that knocks the Stinger down. Ric throws the Stinger out onto the ramp way, and continues the assault. Sting gets thrown back in the ring, where the Nature Boy hits chops, and gets some shots in on Sting’s injured knee. The Stinger powers back with a flurry of blows in the corner, and then arm drags Naitch out of it. He then tries a dropkick, but the champion avoids contact, allowing Flair to continue working on the knee. Ric gets a few more blows in, and then tries to sit on Sting’s knee, which is on the bottom rope, but the challenger moves out of the way.
Ric hits a snapmare, and then misses with his patented knee drop, as Sting sits up and locks the Figure Four on his opponent. Flair gets to the ropes, and rolls outside, pulling the Stinger with him. Naitch hits a chop, then whips him into the railing, but Stinger stands up like nothing’s happened, and the Nature Boy rolls back in the ring, and begs for mercy once again. Sting wants no part of this, and starts punching Flair on the mat. Ric heads to the corner, where he gets a kick in, but is then sent flying off the top rope by the Stinger. Naitch tries to fight back, but Sting gets a backslide in for two. As Sting argues with the referee about the count, Flair gets a cheap kick into the knee of the Stinger, and we head to commercial.
COMMERCIAL:
We return with Flair in control, getting in shots in the corner. Sting doesn’t feel the effects, and sends Naitch across the ropes for another Gorilla Press. Sting nails a clothesline, and gets a near fall. Stinger punches the Nature Boy in the corner, then sends him across, where Flair back flips on the turnbuckle, and lands on the apron, where he is clotheslined by the challenger. Sting suplexes Naitch back in the ring, and gets another near fall. Flair backs away into the corner, as Sting powers up, whipping the champion across the ring for the Stinger splash. Naitch face plants, and Sting locks on the Scorpion Deathlock. Ole Anderson, whom is handcuffed to el Gigante at the top of the ramp way tries to come down, but is pulled back. The Horsemen come down to try and save Flair, but the Dudes with Attitudes, which include the Steiner Brothers and Junkyard Dog, who were acting as Lumberjacks, fight them off.
Naitch finally makes it to the ropes, and crawls up on the apron, but takes two big right hands by the Stinger. Flair gets a shoulder into the chest of the challenger, then goes for the pin with his feet on the ropes, but the pin is broken up by Scott Steiner, who knocks the Nature Boy’s feet off the ropes. Ric stares down Steiner, and Sting comes from behind with a School Boy, but it only brings him two. Flair takes Sting down, but is countered into a head scissors. Ric counters into a bridge, but Sting powers up and gets a backslide in for another long two. Nature Boy looks for chops one last time, but they don’t affect the challenger. Naitch begs for mercy but Sting has none of it, and whips him across into the corner, but Flair dodges the charging knee of the Stinger. Naitch looks for the Figure Four, but Sting counters into a roll up for the three count, to become new WCW Champion.
The Dudes with Attitudes celebrate with the new champion, as the show ends.

Episode 66: MATCH#1: BRET HART vs. DINO BRAVO w/JIMMY HART
DATE OF MATCH: OCTOBER 10, 1989
The coverage begins, with Bravo applying a Camel Clutch. Hart tries to escape, but Dino attacks Bret, and hits a Gutwrench Powerbomb, which results in a two. Bravo looks for a neck breaker, but the Hitman counters into a backslide for a two count. Dino gets a shot in on Bret, then applies a Bearhug, and drives him into the corner. Hart counters and fights back, sending Bravo across the ring, but he is countered, and crashes into the turnbuckle, sternum first. This leads to a pin attempt by Dino, but the Hitman gets his foot on the rope, before the three.
Bravo stomps his opponent in the face, then applies another Bearhug. Hart fights out of the hold with elbows to the head, but Dino regains control with a rake to the eyes. Bret is whipped across to the opposite corner, and the Hitman counters the charging Bravo, getting his feet up to kick him. Bret gets up on the second rope, but misses with an elbow. Dino then thinks he can connect something off the ropes, but his attack is thwarted by the Hitman. Bret seizes the opportunity, getting in some shots, and then whipping Bravo across for a Back Body Drop. Hart gets in a quick Leg Drop, which brings two. The Hitman then tries a rollup, which brings another two.
Hart connects a Back Breaker for another near fall. As Bret argues with the referee, Dino gets a shot in, and looks for a Slam, but Hart counters, looking for a roll up, but Bravo holds onto the ropes. Bret gets up quickly, and as Dino turns around, the Hitman dropkicks his opponent to the outside. Hart springboards over the top rope, connecting with Dino, then as the Excellence of Execution goes to get back in the ring, he is pulled out by Canada’s Strongest man for some stomps. Bravo showboats in the ring, and then tries to suplex Bret from the ring. This move is countered by the Hitman into a roll up, which is quickly countered by Bravo, into a roll up of his own for the three count.
YOUR WINNER: DINO BRAVO

Interviews with both teams air before the next match.
MATCH#2: FABULOUS ROUGEAUS (Jacques/Raymond) w/JIMMY HART vs. THE ROCKERS (Shawn Michaels/Marty Jannetty) DATE OF MATCH: OCTOBER 10, 1989
Our coverage begins, with Michaels reeling in pain. Raymond goes for the pin, but only gets two. Jacques gets the tag, and the Rougeaus complete a double-team move. Jacques goes for the roll up, which brings another two, then whips Shawn off the ropes for an Abdominal Stretch. After enough punishment is dished out, Ray gets the tag, and starts slapping HBK. Jannetty comes in and breaks up the hold, but as he is being escorted out by the referee, the Rougeaus double-team Michaels once again. Raymond goes for the cover, which gets him a near fall, then applies a Chin lock-type move. Shawn tries to power his way to his corner for a tag, but the future French announce team member stops that, and makes the tag to the Mountie. Ray whips HBK across, and Jacques connects with a dropkick, which brings another two count. Raymond gets the tag, and completes a hip toss on Shawn for a two. Ray goes for another roll up, but Michaels rolls through before they both roll around the ring, trying to get the advantage. They finally stop, with Rougeau on top. He gets a two, then HBK rolls it over, and he gets a two, as Jacques breaks it up. Raymond tries to slow Shawn down with a head lock, but Michaels powers out, and looks for the tag once again. The two illegal men come in, and the referee stops Marty, allowing the Rougeaus to slam the Rocker hard into the corner. Raymond goes for the cover, which brings another near fall, and then we head to commercial.
COMMERCIAL:
We return with Raymond applying another head lock on Michaels. HBK powers up again, trying to make the tag, but Jacques hits Marty, and as he comes in, the Rougeaus double-team Shawn and a near fall follows. Ray tries another head lock, and this time Michaels gets the tag, but the referee doesn’t see it, as he is distracted by Jacques. The referee then tells Jannetty to get out of the ring, allowing the Rougeaus to double-team, but they hit each other instead, allowing Shawn to finally get the tag.
Marty goes wild, taking down both Rougeaus, then connecting a knee lift on Jacques. Jannetty then goes for Jimmy Hart, who is on the apron, and knocks him down. Rougeau whips Marty across, but is countered with a kick, knocking him down. Jannetty goes for the cover, but Raymond breaks it up. Ray takes out Michaels, and as the referee tries to send him out of the ring, Marty gets in a backslide on Jacques. The referee finally makes the count, but he only gets to two. Jannetty is sent across the ring, where he is tripped up by Raymond on the outside, which leads to a piledriver by Jacques. Shawn comes in to break it up, but the referee stops him, and as he is distracted, Hart’s megaphone is thrown into the ring. As the Rougeaus are about to use it, the referee takes it off them and drops it, then escorts Raymond out of the ring. Meanwhile, Michaels grabs the megaphone and nails Jacques with it, allowing Jannetty to get the fall.

COMMERCIAL:
MATCH#3: PAUL ROMA vs. BROOKLYN BRAWLER
DATE OF MATCH: OCTOBER 10, 1989
We start mid-match, with Roma putting pressure on a side headlock he has applied. Paul nails the Brawler, and then applies the side headlock again. The former Horsemen member then jumps off the top, and connects with a blow to the head of his opponent, but the Brooklyn Brawler doesn’t go down. After the third time of trying, Lombardi finally hits the mat, and Roma gets a near fall. The man from Brooklyn heads outside, but is soon chased. Brawler heads back in the ring, and catches the man with his own ClubWWI audio show as he tries to come in. Lombardi with a backbreaker gets him two, and then he whips Paul into the corner. Brawler gets a shot in, and then pulls him out of the corner, biting the head of his opponent as he does so. Brooklyn Brawler with a slam, then he heads to the top rope, but Roma catches him and throws him off. The Glorious one gets in some punches, followed by a clothesline, followed by more punches, and finishes it off with a Running Powerslam, which only gets him a two count! Roma nails a stalling suplex, then heads up top and nails a cross body, but Brawler rolls through, and gets the three.

COMMERCIAL:
Interviews with both competitors air before the next match.
MATCH#4: HONKY TONK MAN w/JIMMY HART vs. ‘KING HACKSAW’ JIM DUGGAN
DATE OF MATCH: OCTOBER 10, 1989
We join the match in progress, with Honky applying a headlock on Duggan. Jim fights out and gets in some punches, but his eyes are raked, and HTM regains control. Honky Tonk with some punches in the corner, but misses with a flip move, as Hacksaw gets out of the way. Duggan gains control with a combination of punches, followed by a clothesline. Hacksaw then sets up in the 3 Point Stance, nails the clothesline, and gets the three.
YOUR WINNER: JIM DUGGAN
Post-match, and Duggan wants a piece of Jimmy Hart, but gets hit in the back by Honky with the megaphone. Both men then, assault the King, sending him to the outside, and as they celebrate, Hacksaw grabs his 2X4, and clears the ring.
COMMERCIAL:
Interviews with Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan air before our Main Event.
MAIN EVENT: WWF CHAMPIONSHIP
HULK HOGAN (c) w/MISS ELIZABETH vs. RANDY ‘MACHO MAN’ SAVAGE w/SENSATIONAL SHERRI
DATE OF MATCH: OCTOBER 10, 1989
The coverage begins, with ‘Real American’ playing, only for it to stop, when Savage grabs a Hogan poster from the crowd and tears it up. Both men seem tentative to start, and when they finally do, Hulkster wins the tie-up, shoving the Macho man off his feet. Randy heads outside to re-compose himself, and then they lock up again. Savage with a side headlock, but Hulk fights out and hits a shoulder block. Randy rolls out, grabs a chair, and throws it in the ring, only for Hogan to catch it, and then sit on it. Another tie-up, Savage with a rake of the eyes, then a side headlock on the Hulkster. Hogan sends Savage across, looking for the boot, but the Macho Man rolls out of the ring. Hulkster heads out after him, but Mach uses Sherri as a shield, so he can get back in the ring. However, when Hulk gets in the ring and starts chasing him, Savage heads out the other side. Randy grabs a mic, talks trash, and dedicates the match to Sherri. Macho Man spits on Hogan from the ropes, as we head to commercial.
We return and Hogan nails two shoulder blocks, before both men drop the other with a clothesline. Randy misses with a couple of elbows, before Hulk misses with an elbow of his own. Macho Man pushes the Hulkster into the corner, and then goes for a rollup, which brings him two. Savage then gets a double knee drop to the face of Hulk, and then gets four successive two count pin attempts, before applying a sleeper.
Hogan powers out by Hulking up, and then he nails a shoulder block and an elbow drop onto his challenger. Hulk looks for the leg drop, but Sherri grabs his leg, only for the Hulkster to grab her by the hair. This allows Savage to attack Hogan from behind, and hang him up on the ropes. Randy heads up top, but calls for Sherri’s purse, and he hits the Champion with it, whilst the referee’s back was turned. Macho Man breaks up his own pin attempt and heads up top. He hits the Macho Man elbow, and as he is showboating, Hulk gets straight up, and starts pummelling Randy with right hands. The big boot follows, and then he motions for Elizabeth to get up on the apron. Liz kicks Sherri away, and then slaps the Macho Man, which is followed by a clothesline, and the Leg Drop, for the three.
