Mero instead nails a dropkick, and gets a two count, causing Stone Cold to roll outside.

Back in, and another tie-up, Austin gets control, before the Marvellous One applies a head scissors. The Ringmaster counters into a pin attempt, but Marc counters that into a backslide, for a near fall. Mero gets another two count out of a roll up, and then Austin gains control, hanging the Wildman on the top rope, which brings a two. Stone Cold misses a second rope elbow, and Mero sends Austin’s head into the buckle. Marc whips his opponent across for a corner clothesline, and mounted punches. This leads to a back body drop, and an ax handle off the top rope by the Wildman, which only gets two. Mero with a running knee lift for another two. Austin catches a quick breather, sending the Marvellous one to the outside. The Wildman goes to attack Stone Cold from the apron, but Austin shoves the referee in his way, causing a disqualification. Austin falls to the outside, and tries to signal a timeout, but this isn’t the NFL. Steve ends up running from his opponent to avoid any more damage. Back in the ring, the Dragon applies a Sleeper, which gets broken up, and an armbar is locked in, as we head to...

COMMERCIAL:

Again it leads to nothing, until the Dragon stun guns his opponent on the top rope, then they exchange blows on the ring apron. Ricky meets the railing, and Steve meets the ring post. Steamboat heads up top, flies onto the Champion, then fires ten punches. The Dragon stays in control, until his eyes are raked. Stunning Steve tries to send his challenger over the top rope, which will lead to a disqualification in this match, but this doesn’t work. Austin attempts a Piledriver, but Rick counters, and it’s he who hits the Piledriver. Steamboat heads up top, but the future Rattlesnake shoves the referee into him, causing a DQ. However, Ricky talks the referee into continuing the match, which leads to a pin attempt by Steve Austin, who puts his feet on the ropes, and gets the three count.

YOUR WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION: STEVE AUSTIN
