We open with the Million Dollar Team, talking about their mystery tag team partner. We then cut to the ring to see, Ted DiBiase announcing his mystery partner, the Undertaker.
MATCH#1: The Million Dollar Team (Ted DiBiase w/Virgil/Greg Valentine/Honky Tonk Man/Undertaker w/Brother Love) vs. The Dream Team(Dusty Rhodes/Hart Foundation (Bret Hart/Jim Neidhart)/Koko B. Ware) DATE OF MATCH: November 22, 1990
FACT: This was Undertaker’s debut in the World Wrestling Federation.
Bret and Undertaker start off, and the Hitman gets taken down with a clothesline. Neidhart gets the tag, and he gets slammed to the mat. Koko then gets the tag, trying to get the big man off his feet, but ends up being choked up on the top rope, and then receives the Tombstone Piledriver for the elimination.
Koko B Ware is eliminated
Hart comes back in, and tries to dissect the Deadman with punches, but to no avail, as Valentine and Rhodes are tagged in. Both men exchange slaps, before Dusty tags in Neidhart, who tags in Bret. The Hitman starts to take control of the matchup, until the knees of the Hammer halt the momentum. Honky Tonk gets the tag, and the two legal men exchange blows, until Bret gets the tag to the Anvil, who slams Honky coming off the ropes, and gets the pinfall.
Honky Tonk Man is eliminated
DiBiase comes in for the Million Dollar Team against Neidhart and works on him in the corner. Neidhart is able to counter with a clothesline and another scoopslam before tagging in Rhodes. Who delivers 10 elbows in the corner before hitting a drop kick, tagging in Neidhart and double teaming on DiBiase. A suplex leads to a two count. Neidhart is distracted on the outside by Virgil but it only leads to a two count. Hart comes in and starts working on DiBiase.
COMMERCIAL:
Undertaker is in the ring with Dusty. It’s not long before Rhodes is eliminated.
Dusty Rhodes is eliminated
Hart back in to work on the Undertaker with punches, until Valentine gets the tag. Meanwhile, Rhodes confronts Brother Love, which gets the attention of the Undertaker, who chases Dusty to the back, and Undertaker is counted out.
Undertaker is eliminated
Back to the action inside the ring, and the Hammer attempts a Figure Four Leg Lock, but the Hitman counters into a roll up, and eliminates Valentine.
Greg Valentine is eliminated
It’s now one on one. Bret Hart vs. Ted DiBiase. The action heads to the outside, where Teddy is sent into the ring post, and then the ring steps. Both men continue to fight for control, and the Million Dollar Man gets it by sending Bret into the turnbuckle. However, the momentum doesn’t last long as the Hitman counters DiBiase with a backslide. Bret looks like he’s blown his knee out after tripping over his opponent, but he’s just playing possum, and uses the opportunity to knock Virgil off the apron. However, he gets caught up, and this allows Ted to get the easy shot in, as Virgil holds the Hitman, but he knocks Virgil off the apron instead! The match is still up for grabs, until Hart hits a cross body, and it looks like it’s over, but DiBiase rolls through and pins Bret for the victory.
Bret Hart is eliminated
Ted DiBiase is the sole survivor.
COMMERCIAL:
MATCH#2: The Heenan Family (Andre the Giant/Haku/Arn Anderson/Bobby Heenan) vs. The Ultimate Warriors (Ultimate Warrior/The Rockers(Shawn Michaels/Marty Jannetty)/ Jim Neidhart) DATE OF MATCH: November 23, 1989
FACT: Bobby Heenan replaced Tully Blanchard in his team.
The coverage begins, with everyone in the ring. Andre is beating down on Neidhart, but the bell hasn’t even rang yet, and when it finally does, Warrior is in, and clotheslines Andre out of the ring, and just like that he is gone.
Andre The Giant is eliminated
COMMERCIAL:
We return to find Haku, working on the Anvil. Anderson gets the tag, and continues gaining momentum for his side, before he tags back in Haku. Neidhart receives a kick to the back of the head, and is eliminated by Haku.
Jim Neidhart is eliminated
Michaels comes in, confuses Haku, and then moves out of the way as Haku tries for a headbutt. Shawn tags in his partner, and the Rockers continue to work on the arm of their opponent, all the while, making fast tags between the two. Haku finally gains control, after he counters a double team move by the Rockers. Marty goes for a cross body, but gets caught, so Shawn delivers a drop kick to send Jannetty over, and on top of Haku.
Footage jump and Haku is in control over Marty. Bobby Heenan gets the tag, gets in one shot, and tags in Double A, who in turn tags back in Haku. Jannetty runs the ropes, and gets nailed with a knee to the back by the Enforcer on the outside, which brings a two count. Heenan gets tagged in, and gives Marty a series of kicks to the face of the Rocker, which in return, brings a three count.
Marty Jannetty is eliminated
Footage jump and The Brain is holding Michaels in the corner, allowing Double A to get some shots in, whilst the referee’s back is turned. Shawn tries for a Sunset Flip off the top rope, before introducing Arn’s head into the mat. Double A stumbles into the wrong corner, and Warrior gets the tag. After a scoop slam, Michaels gets tagged back in, and between the two, they nail Arn, which brings them a two count. The Enforcer starts to fight back, and tags in Haku, but he misses a move from the top, allowing Shawn to get a cross body, and get the three.
Haku is eliminated from the match.
COMMERCIAL:
We return, to find Michaels and Anderson lying in the ring. Both men exchange blows, until the Enforcer gains control in the corner. The Rocker uses his high flying advantage to gain control, until both run the ropes, and Double A hits the Anderson Drop, eliminating Michaels.
Shawn Michaels is eliminated
Warrior’s now in, and he uses shoulder blocks to wear Double A down, until the Ultimate Warrior’s own momentum is used against him, as he is sent to the outside. Bobby Heenan looks to fly, but the referee stops him, as the Enforcer works on Warrior on the outside. They head back in, and Anderson tags in Heenan. Bobby lasts a little longer than he did the first time he was in, and then tags back in the former Horseman. The Brain tries to offer assistance from the outside, but it doesn’t last, as he is knocked off the apron by Anderson. A press slam, and a splash later, and the Enforcer is eliminated.
Arn Anderson is eliminated
Warrior starts to sneak around the ring, and ends up behind Heenan. The Brain is up on the ropes, screaming for Double A to come back. Bobby eventually sees Warrior coming from behind him, and tries to get away, but he is thrown into the turnbuckles, and then to the outside. Heenan tries to escape again, but Warrior follows him, and drags him back in the ring. After a block, and a splash, The Brain is pinned, and the Warrior is the survivor.
Bobby Heenan is eliminated
Ultimate Warrior is the sole survivor.
COMMERCIAL:
MAIN EVENT: WWF CHAMPIONSHIP
Hulk Hogan (c) vs. Undertaker w/Paul Bearer DATE OF MATCH: November 27, 1991
FACT: This was the first non-Survivor Series match, to take place at the Survivor Series PPV.
The action begins, with a pair of lockups, before Hogan applies a side headlock. Off the ropes, Undertaker gets in a shoulder block, and Hulk goes out of the ring. Back in, the Deadman chokes the Hulkster, before nailing him with punches. ‘Taker keeps the pressure on the Champ, by applying various holds to the face and neck, until Paul Bearer gets involved on the outside. Undertaker then misses an elbow drop, and Hogan starts to take over. Hulk tries to slam his opponent, but fails, so he tries to clothesline the Deadman off his feet. That doesn’t work, however, after several attempts; he ends up sending Undertaker to the outside, only for the Deadman to drag Hulk out with him. Hulkster is sent to the ring steps, as we head to...
COMMERCIAL:
We return, with Hogan on the mat, and Taker rolling his eyes in the back of his head. The Deadman looks to win by submission, but Hogan gets his arm up before the referee drops his arm for the third time, and starts to regain the offence. Undertaker gets a flying clothesline in on the Champ, and then drops him with the Tombstone. Just as it looks over, the power of the Hogan no-sell rises again, as he gets right up and takes over the match. Just as this happens, the REAL World Champion, Ric Flair makes his way down to ringside. Hulk is distracted by his presence, and knocks him down, before heading into the ring, and delivering a boot to the face of the Deadman. Bearer heads to the apron to play diversion, as Flair brings a chair in the ring, for the Undertaker to Tombstone Hogan on, and that brings a three count, and a new champion.
YOUR WINNER AND NEW WWF CHAMPION: Undertaker
We end, with an interview between Okerlund, Undertaker and Bearer, in the darkness. The two talk about the death of Hulkamania, before using a coffin, to make the point that they will kill Hulkamania, at the Tuesday in Texas event.
