MATCH#2: Ken Shamrock/Ahmed Johnson/Legion Of Doom (Animal/Hawk) vs. Nation Of Domination (Faarooq/Kama Mustafa/D-Lo Brown/Rocky Maivia)
DATE OF MATCH: November 9, 1997

The match begins, already in progress, and Hawk and D-Lo are the legal men. Brown nails a neckbreaker on the Road Warrior, and tags in Maivia. Hawk tries to gain control, but is hit by Kama Mustafa on the outside, allowing Rocky to nail the Rock Bottom, giving us our first elimination.

Hawk is eliminated (3-4)

Ahmed Johnson comes in, and two go at it. Johnson hits an elbow, and Maivia makes the tag to Kama. Mustafa nails Ahmed with a clothesline, and tags in the Nation leader, Faarooq. Faarooq continues the assault, with kicks, followed by a backbreaker. Ahmed is pushed into the opposing corner, and the Nation all attack at once, hitting him with a leather strap, whilst the referee’s back is turned. Johnson somehow fights back from the assault, and nails a Pearl River Plunge on Faarooq, to even up the sides once again.

Faarooq is eliminated (3-3)

D-Lo enters as the legal man, and knocks down Ahmed, then nails him with a splash from the top rope. Johnson gets back to his feet, and begins to shift momentum into his favour. Brown tries to regain control for his team, by tagging in Maivia, but Ahmed knocks him down. However, as Johnson runs the ropes, the already eliminated Faarooq, grabs the ankle of Ahmed, tripping him up. Rocky goes for the cover, and gets three as Faarooq still has ahold of the ankle.

Ahmed Johnson is eliminated 2-3

Ahmed then chases Faarooq up the rampway, as we head to...

We return from commercial with Kama knocking down the lone Road Warrior in the match with a kick. As Mustafa is showboating, Animal kicks Kama from behind, right into Maivia, then rolls up the Nation member, to even the sides once again.

Kama Mustafa is eliminated (2-2)

D-Lo comes in as the legal man, but Animal knocks him down with a clothesline, then tags in Shamrock. Ken begins with a series of punches, and knocks Brown down with a clothesline. D-Lo rakes the World’s Most Dangerous eyes, then takes a swipe at Animal. This brings the Road Warrior into the ring, which causes the referee to get distracted by his presence. The Nation then capitalize on this, with Maivia delivering a low blow to Shamrock, bringing a two count D-Lo. Brown connects with a snapmare, then nails a leg drop on Ken, for another near fall.

D-Lo continues with the offence with a chokehold, and keeps the momentum on his side, until he heads up top, and misses with a moonsault. Both men are able to make the tag, but it’s Animal who gains control, delivering dropkicks to both members of the Nation. At this point, the New Age Outlaws make their way to ringside, sporting the spiked shoulder pads that are owned by the Legion Of Doom, and when they throw something in the eyes of the Animal, this brings him outside to attack them. One problem, he’s the legal man, so the referee counts him out, and the Nation gain control.

Animal is eliminated (1-2)

D-Lo is giving Shamrock, then tags in Rocky, to deliver a double clothesline. Ken ducks this attempt, and clotheslines both D-Lo and Maivia. Rocky ends up on the outside, allowing Shamrock to nail a belly to belly suplex, on D-Lo, followed by the Anklelock, and it’s one on one.

D-Lo Brown is eliminated (1-1)

Maivia re-enters the ring with a chair, and as the ref is getting D-Lo out of the ring. Rocky nails Shamrock with the chair, and only gets a two count. Maivia works on Ken in the corner, but the World’s Most Dangerous Man fights back, with right hands of his own. Shamrock reverses the Irish Whip, but receives a Spinning DDT from Rocky for his troubles. This leads to a two count, and a People’s Elbow from The Rock only gets another two count.
This is the point in the matchup, where Shamrock starts to take over. After a series of punches to Rocky, Ken hits a northern lights suplex, and both men are down. Shamrock hits a Hurracanrana, then applies an armbar, which sets up the Ankle Lock, leaving Maivia no choice, but to tap out.

The Rock is eliminated (1-0)

Ken Shamrock is the sole survivor

MAIN EVENT: Bret Hart vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin
DATE OF MATCH: November 17, 1996

Our Main Event begins, with Hart running the ropes, until Austin hangmans Bret on the top rope. Stone Cold gains control by choking the Hitman using the bottom rope. Steve is focused on injuring the neck, as he stomps on it, then slingshots Bret into the bottom rope. Austin slides outside, and delivers an elbow to the throat of the Excellence of Execution. Steve heads inside, as the Hitman heads outside, but Austin grabs Hart and hangs him on the top rope.

Austin is in full control of the matchup, applying a reverse chinlock. He breaks the hold to drop a knee onto the neck, which brings a near fall, and he applies the chinlock once again. Hart fights his way out of the hold, and fights back, by reversing an irish whip, and sending the King of the Ring winner into the turnbuckle. The Hitman continues the assault, until Stone Cold slams him into the turnbuckle. This is followed by...

We return, to find the Hitman having a seat on the top rope, and Stone Cold attempting to get him off said turnbuckle. Hart sends the Rattlesnake face first to the mat, then connects with an elbow drop from the top. The cover doesn’t come for awhile though, thus the three count isn’t secured here. Bret connects with a sidewalk slam, but that’s all the offense he can get in, as Austin rakes the eyes of his opponent. Steve introduces his Canadian opponent to the barrier from inside the ring, and then follows him out to hit him with forearms, and then slam his head into the ring post. Steve rolls into the ring and back out to break the referee’s count, and the Hitman repays him, by throwing Austin into the barrier. Both men make their way back into the ring, and the future Rattlesnake rolls right out the other side. Hart goes a-following, but this leads into him being slung onto the announce table by the former Ringmaster.

Can the Hitman recover to pull off the victory? Stay tuned, after our final commercial break!

Bret connects with a backbreaker on Stone Cold, and then heads up top. Austin wishbones the Hitman, then fires a series of punches at his opponent’s direction, before connecting with a superplex. This brings a near fall for Steve, who hits the Stunner afterwards. However, this only brings a two count also, as he spent too much time bringing Hart back to the middle of the ring. Austin goes for cover, after cover, but only gets two each time. The 1996 King of the Ring winner, then locks the 993 King of the Ring winner, in a Texas cloverleaf. Bret manages to pull himself to the ropes, but is the damage already done? Bret goes sternum first into the turnbuckle, and Stone Cold locks in a Bow and Arrow submission. The Hitman counters the move, into a Sharpshooter attempt, but Steve gets to the ropes before the hold can be locked in.

Bret tries for a sleeper, but Austin counters it into a jawbreaker. Stone Cold then goes for the jugular, applying the Million Dollar Dream, but Hart climbs the corner with his feet, and pushes off, leaving Austin with the hold still locked in, but his shoulders down, and the Hitman takes the victory.

YOUR WINNER: Bret Hart
