Casually Twittering About (Halloween Picture Edition)

I’m a lifelong wrestling fan who now watches less than two hours a week. I’m the "casual smart mark" and I'd like to welcome you to Casually Twittering About (if you can come up with a better name, by all means let me know).

It’s a pretty simple concept, really...I scour Twitter (hey... you can find me HERE …you know you want to!) looking for anything interesting or bizarre from the world of wrestling. Trust me when I say this: you think wrestlers are weird INSIDE of the ring???

This time around, we're just going to take a look at what wrestlers dressed-up as for Halloween 2010...

Let's start things off with an international superstar of incredible stature. This man is a multiple time world champion and is simply one of the greatest wrestlers who ever lived.

If you guessed CHRIS JERICHO...then you'd be right.

He was awesome in the fact that it may not have immediately been easy to know who it was underneath the make-up. I gotta say, though, that most other wrestlers weren't quite as original:

Both Dolph Ziggler and Beth Phoenix thought fake teeth would make the costume for them. I dunno...the teeth look nice and all, but is that all it takes to be a vampire these days??

I f*ckin' hate what Twilight has done to the vampire genre.

ANYWAY...

One of my favorite costumes this year was from none other than the Blue Meanie. If you're a football fan...especially if you're a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers...then this outfit should be considered "costume of the weekend":

Wait...where was I? Oh yeah...

Now for two of the worst costumes.

The first is that big-ass Amazon chick who got booted off of NXT and got fired from FCW. I dunno...this really didn't do much for me.

And then probably the worst of the worst. The one...the only...and a favorite of this column...Lucky Cannon.

I'm sure there's an inside joke here that I'm just not getting.

Ugh. That's just lame.

Next up is a favorite performer of mine, Christopher Daniels. He took a bit of a risk for Halloween this year. A kudos to you if you know who he is dressing up as.

Now this picture is from the Bella Twins. Did they dress up for Halloween over the weekend? I dunno...but they tweeted this picture and they look pretty hot, so what the hell:

Finally, it's time for a couple of Omega dudes who really enjoyed Halloween this year. Matt Hardy was dressed up as a "lumberjerk" (his words...not mine) and Hurricane Helms was dressed as a pharaoh.

I mean, I'll give Gregory Helms props...but Hardy? I'm not sure what he really tried to be, but unless he was eating grapes in his costume I'd have to say it's a major #FAIL on his part.

Still...props for actually dressing-up.

Alright... that’s what I got for now, kids. Hope you all enjoyed Halloween as much as these wrestlers did.
