You know what?   I'm not even going to try and be remotely clever about this.   This past weekend, Shane Douglas raped the corpse of ECW one more time and presented Extreme Reunion in Philadelphia.   On the one hand, you could say the show was extremely successful, drawing well over 2000 paying fans to the event, a pretty impressive number in today's independent scene.   On the other, the show was, at best, an incredible train wreck that likely killed the promotion Shane Douglas was hoping to build right out the gate, ultimately screwing those 2000 paying fans out of the show they were promised by a man that, in an interview with James Guttman on ClubWWI over a year and a half ago, was dressing down TNA and Dixie Carter in particular because he felt TNA was conning the ECW fans.

Oh, don't take my word for it.   Check out what Luke Hawx, one of the guys who actually worked the Extreme Reunion  show, had to say about the disaster this past weekend -

Hell, even other wrestling promoters were weighing in on the issue, as you can see here in this exchange between DGUSA Vice President Gabe Saplosky and WSU founder Sean McCaffery -

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wrote a piece on the Extreme Reunion disaster that I'd recommend.  Anyone who is honestly interested in seeing any future Extreme Reunion shows should read THIS before spending any money on tickets, DVDs, or other related merchandise.

In lighter news, you may recall a few weeks back how Will & Grace star Sean Hayes trashed WWE on Conan after Hayes and fellow Three Stooges stars Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos had a rather disastrous appearance on RAW.   In fact, here's a clip -

So, of course, WWE fans on Twitter immediately lose their sh*t and begin trolling Hayes.   Sean then offers up this apology via his Twitter -

Speaking of TNA, reading this tweet by Jesse Sorenson just makes me very, very uncomfortable.   For those who may not remember, Jesse Sorenson broke his neck in a match with Zema Ion on a TNA PPV earlier this year.   TNA, for some reason, has tried turning this into an angle between the two, betting on Sorenson's return to the ring, despite his brush with near-death, and unfortunately, Jesse is apparently going to push the angle on occasion via his Twitter.
