Rumors began swirling about an hour ago regarding Luna Vachon passing away at 48 years old.  Sadly, those rumors appear to be true.

Vachon was a member of the legendary Vachon Wrestling Family and left impressions on fans for decades.  Her time in WWF will be remembered for her anti-diva look and antics with Goldust.  Recently, Luna's name had been in the headlines again after a house fire claimed much of her wrestling memorabilia. 

The fire, combined with her time away from the business, made Luna's passing a difficult thing to immediately confirm.  However, Vachon's agent, David Herro, confirmed the news on his Twitter account after being asked about the validity of it.

Needless to say our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of Luna Vachon, who paved the way for many female wrestlers after her.  She was a unique and wonderful performer who will be missed.
