1/04/10: Moments ago, Eddie Kingston was found in a hallway, clutching his knee with a chair near him. I wonder, who would attack Eddie Kingston? Another piece of evidence that could give us a clue of who did it was in the referee’s hand: a king of diamonds playing card.

Claudio Castagnoli w/Prince Nana & Ernie Osiris vs. Eddie Kingston
Showing the heart of a lion, Kingston hobbled to the ring in hopes of fighting tonight. Nana grabbed Eddie’s legs at the sound of the bell, allowing Claudio to clip Kingston from behind. Claudio was like a shark smelling the blood flowing from Kingston’s hurt leg. Kingston almost caught Claudio in a rear naked choke, but Claudio wrenched Kingston’s leg enough to force him to break the hold. Kingston stumbled into the corner, fighting off Claudio. Clothesline from Eddie levels Claudio, but Castagnoli is the first man up. Claudio hoisted Eddie onto his shoulders for the airplane spin. Awesome! Eddie made it to the ropes to stop the horse collar stretch. Eddie avoided the bicycle kick, t-bone suplexing Castagnoli across the ring. Kingston tried to follow up with a Backdrop Driver, but his leg gave out on him. One leg big swing on Eddie softens up the left leg enough for Claudio to force Kingston to tap in the horse collar stretch.

We get some highlights from Final Battle 2009. First, The Young Bucks beating Steenerico. Then, Kevin Steen turning on El Generico. Also, the Briscoes became the six-time World Tag Team champions by defeating The American Wolves, only to be attacked by the reunited Kings of Wrestling.

Steve Corino vs. Andy Ridge
Andy “Right Leg” Ridge is back to take on that guy who looks an awfully like Mr. Wrestling 3. Their bodies are almost identical. Wonder if they ever met? Corino almost got sunset flipped for a three count. Corino took a couple of kicks to the chest, only to fight back and execute a sweeping downward spiral. Corino followed up with a suplex, then some insulting slaps to Ridge’s face. This only fired up Andy, who used various unsuccessful pinning combinations. Corino recovered, hitting a reverse tombstone piledriver to set up his sliding clothesline. Corino hooked the right leg to pin “Right Leg”.

Kyle Durden was with Davey Richards to talk about Richards’ main event clash with Roderick Strong. Davey ran down the history between the two, including their times together as the No Remorse Corps. Unfortunately, Strong helped create the monster Davey Richards is now. “Tonight,” Davey smiled, “the hunt is…no remorse.”

At Final Battle 2009 in NYC, Austin Aries retained his World title over Tyler Black when the match went to a sixty-minute time limit draw. Clips shown to prove this focused on Aries’ attempt to run out of the building several times.

El Generico vs. Rhett Titus
Titus found himself a beautiful lady to give his room key to. Titus masturbated with Generico’s arm before using Generico’s back as a genital washboard. Generico wasn’t pleased; arm dragging Titus around the ring before punching his face. Lou Thesz was heard beating the top of his casket after that. Titus tried to fight back with some punches of his own to set up a sunset flip. Generico reversed it, dropkicking Titus. Titus blocked the running arm drag off the ropes by tripping and crotching Generico off the top rope. Generico’s lower regions were stinging as Titus shimmied around the ring. Titus attempted to show Generico that the thrust is a must. Generico reversed the sexy suplex, but couldn’t follow up as the rocker dropper downed Generico. Generico hulked up, punching Titus off his feet. Titus wanted find haven on the top rope after an eye poke, but ended up getting punched out of the sky. Series of clotheslines from Generico led to the leaping tornado DDT for a near fall. Titus recovered, hitting the sit-down slam. Generico got out of Titus’ follow up pin, kicking Titus in the face so he could climb the ropes. Titus stopped whatever Generico had in mind with a super sex-factor. Titus wanted to fly again. Titus lost his balance on the ropes due to Generico, leaving Rhett open for the yakuza kick/Brain Buster combination. SLAP THE PORPOISE, IT’S OVER FOLKS!

Kyle Durden was with Jim Cornette talk about the main event, and how great it’ll be. Chris Hero interrupted the interview to talk about his planned KO’ing of Kenny Omega next week. Hero was caught off the guard by Cornette whipping out the playing card found near Kingston’s body. Cornette promised that if he could connect Hero and the card, Hero will have hell to pay.

Next week, Joey Ryan will take on Necro Butcher in a No Disqualification match.

Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards w/Sara Del Rey
Both men jockeyed for a real advantage. Strong was aware of Davey’s counter kick out of the arm bar. Reversals of holds galore here, but nothing kept the other down. The leg lariat from Strong did knock Davey off his feet after Richards pushed him off the ropes. Davey escaped to the floor, going chop for chop with an in-chase Strong. Strong won the battle, attempting to whip Davey into the barricades afterwards. Davey reversed it, sending Strong into the steel. Davey followed up by using a running big boot that forced Strong to sit with the fans. Davey lost his advantage when the action returned to the ring after Strong chopped him to the outside again. Davey caught Strong’s incoming baseball slide, DDT’ing Strong on the thinly padded concrete. Strong somehow made it back in before the twenty count. Davey didn’t let up by kicking Strong in the chest to set up for something off the top rope. Strong stopped Davey with an enzuguri. Superplex by Strong hurt both men. Davey and Strong pulled themselves up in opposite corners. Richards and Roderick both were thinking big boots, leading to a strike war in the ring’s middle. Davey won with the spinning back kick. Strong avoided Davey’s flying forearm, using a falcon arrow to get a near fall. Richards tried to get a running start off the back kick when Strong picked him up, but Strong stopped that with a dropkick. Davey blocked the gut-buster, kicking Strong until he was stuck against the ropes. Roderick reversed an Irish whip, only for Richards to use Strong’s counter to execute that handspring elbow.
Stuck in the corner after kicking out of Davey’s pin, Strong tried to catch the incoming Richards with another enzuguri. Davey was ready, ducking then kicking Roderick in the face. Missile dropkick from Richards only gets him a two count. Davey was on the hunt as he grabbed Strong. Strong got behind Richards, leading to a series of near fall exchanges. Davey and Strong tried to throw bombs in hopes of dropping the other, but both ended up downing themselves after double clotheslines. Struggling to their feet, forearms started to be thrown. Davey used the ropes to keep himself vertical after Strong converted those forearms to chops. Kawada kicks from Richards stunned Strong. Richards took a few more chops after yelling at Strong to bring it. Davey’s response-kicking Strong on the head. German suplex by Davey only gets him a two count, so Davey floated over into the Texas cloverleaf. Strong made it to the ropes to save himself in an amazing show of heart. Davey found Strong on the apron, so Davey decided he wanted to use the DR Driver from Strong’s new position. Strong stopped that from happening with another enzuguri. Strong hoisted up Davey, using a backbreaker via the side of the ring. The half nelson backbreaker by Strong in the ring couldn’t finish off Davey. Richards stopped the gut-buster/yakuza kick combo by catching the kick, then head and arm suplexing Roderick. Davey hit the ropes, only to run into the yakuza kick. Strong jumped on top of Davey, but couldn’t hold him down for those precious three seconds. Richards turned Strong’s Gibson Driver into a roll up. Strong kicked out, running into the Alarm Clock. Once again, Davey got hit with an enzuguri after missing the elbow. Strong used the gut-buster to set up the Gibson Driver to earn his spot in the Pick 6.
