Jerry Lynn vs. Kenny King
King used his imaginary walker to approach Lynn. And Lynn cradled him to nearly pin King at the sound of the bell. Lynn used his agility to arm drag and hip toss “The Pretty Boy Pitbull”. King was able to free himself, but ended up losing his sight of Jerry when Lynn slid through his legs, landing on the floor. Lynn avoided King’s plancha, following up with the running somersault off the apron to level King. When the action returned to the ring, King recovered, using the Macho Man hotshot to turn the tides in his favor. In a funny note, right after the attack, King pretended to shoot the head off a white dude with a confederate flag bandana. King kept the pressure on Lynn’s throat until Jerry got frustrated and started choking King. King stopped the ten punches in the corner, pushing Lynn across the ring before using those shotgun knees. King followed up with some grounding and pounding. Spinning back kick by King almost knocked Lynn out of the ring. King continued his assault by rear chin locking King. Lynn stopped another Macho Man hotshot, leg dropping the back of King’s head. King recovered, missing the spinning back kick, getting Thesz pressed. Lynn got sent into the corner, but avoided King’s next attack. Lynn sunset bombed King before he could get off the ropes, getting a two count. King stopped the Cradle Piledriver, and the TKO. King swung Lynn into an uranage for a two count. Coronation blocked. Rhett Titus ran out to help King turn the Cradle Piledriver into a back drop for a pinning combination. King hooked the rope out of the referee’s view, pinning Lynn.
A furious Lynn attacked Titus, leading to a two-on-one beat down. Spike piledriver on Jerry Lynn left him motionless.

When we came back from the break, Jerry Lynn was being attended to, where we could see him trying to moving his fingers. For those who don’t know, this is legit. Similar to Arn Anderson’s situation.

Kyle Durden grabbed Tyler Black in the back to ask him about Jerry Lynn’s condition. Black just wanted to go out and check on his friend. Bobby Dempsey and a couple of ring attendants carry Jerry Lynn out of the ring.

Taped earlier today, Bryan Danielson credited Aries for his skills, but lack of finishing prowess compared to Danielson. Danielson proclaimed himself to be in better shape than he was when he was seventeen. You’re not the only one, buddy. Hulk Hogan pose series! No, Danielson didn’t do the Hogan poses. I did!

Nigel McGuinness vs. Sal Rinauro
Sal was frightened to enter, causing Nigel to grab the microphone to tell Sal he wouldn’t hurt Sal tonight because that would make the fans happy. And Nigel lived up to his promise by using the basics until Sal outwrestled him. Nigel honed in on Sal’s left arm and chest. Sal left the ring to tell Nigel that Nigel was hurting him. Sal used this as a distraction, cross body blocking Nigel for a near fall. Nigel recovered, clipping Sal on the top rope before refusing to use the Tower of London on the apron when the fans began to rise in anticipation. Once again, the distraction gave Sal the chance to put Nigel in an unsuccessful pinning combination. Before Sal could move, Nigel locked him in the London Dungeon for the submission victory.

Nigel decided to address the Lynn incident, which proved Nigel’s words right that the fans’ bloodthirsty nature is what’s causing the injuries sustained by the wrestlers.

Let's hear from the champ about his title defense. Aries threw out a couple of monikers Danielson holds before telling us that he’s, “the greatest man who ever lived,” which trumps being “the best in the world.” Tonight, Aries’ game plan of not falling into “Dragon’s match” will prove he is better than Bryan Danielson.

Kyle Durden tried to give us an update on Jerry Lynn, but Kenny King interrupted him to compare Jerry Lynn to legendary athletes by stating that like those athletes, they need to be pushed out before it’s too late.

Colt Cabana vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Claudio uses his dueling glove to slap Cabana in the face before the bell. Cabana took it, just outwrestling Claudio to prove he can win a duel, even when Claudio thought he was winning. When Colt’s antics infuriated Claudio enough, Castagnoli used a European uppercut to drop Cabana. Big head-butt to the abdomen of Cabana led to a gut-wrench suplex that got Claudio a near fall. The fan’s rallied behind Cabana, but it didn’t help much. Cabana sprung off the ropes, using a cross body to set up a slew of pinning combinations. None successful. Cabana turned a roll up into the jackknife cradle for the three count. Claudio proclaimed Cabana had a handful of tights.

We get highlights of the Austin Aries Lucky Lottery to get us ready for the main event.

ROH World title: Austin Aries (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
Boxing style intros for this main event. Both men tried to jockeyed for a solid advantage. Aries found the headlock working, so he tried to keep it on, even by using Danielson’s hair against him. Aries got out of the cross arm bar before having to escape an ankle lock. When he returned to the ring, Aries ran into a dropkick that sent back out. Aries avoided Bryan’s running attack through the ropes, but not the flying knee off the apron. Aries stopped Danielson before he could jump off the ropes, slinging Danielson’s neck across the ropes. This weakened Danielson for the dreaded nerve hold. Danielson fought out of the hold, but ended up getting elbowed down again. After the elbow, Aries locked in a rear chin lock. Danielson turned the tables, leading to a sleeper exchange. Aries turned it into a kick into the back to set up a dragon sleeper. Danielson used the turnbuckles to flip out of the hold, putting Aries in the sleeper again. When Aries tried to use Danielson’s counter against him, Danielson was ready, belly to back suplexing Aries. A couple of forearms dropped Aries for the kick to Aries’ lower back.
Danielson couldn’t lock in Cattle Mutilation, getting knocked out of the ring. Danielson forearmed Aries in the jaw when he tried to use the heat-seeking tope. Danielson dove off the top rope, dropkicking Aries. Running forearm/German suplex combo only got the challenger a two count. Aries stopped the belly to back superplex to knock Danielson to the floor. Heat seeking tope by Aries. Aries followed up with the missile dropkick. Aries mocked Danielson by nipping up right after his attack, just like Bryan does. Aries stopped the triangle choke, as did Danielson with the Brain Buster. Danielson turned the triangle choke into an ankle lock. Aries spun, trying to kick him away. Danielson had to let go after Aries slammed his boot across Danielson’s face. Both men were trading forearms. A rolling elbow allowed Danielson to go for the dragon suplex. Aries flipped out of it, landing on his feet before kicking Danielson in the head. Last Chancery by Aries. Danielson somehow made it to the ropes in time to save himself. Aries pitched Danielson to the floor so he could rip the top turnbuckle pad off while the referee counted down Danielson. Danielson stopped himself from being slung into the turnbuckle, rushing Aries across the ring. Dragon suplex into Cattle Mutilation by Danielson got the fans stomping. Aries rolled through, attempting to rush Danielson into the exposed turnbuckle. Danielson stopped it, but ended up getting shin broken, then suplexed. Danielson countered the dropkick in the corner, putting Aries in the ankle lock again. Aries spun into it, slinging Danielson face first into the exposed steel turnbuckle in an incredible counter. Running dropkick by the champ to add injury to injury. Three seconds later, and Aries is still the champion.
