Hey everyone and welcome to this weeks WWE Superstars SuperReview! Here's hoping for another stellar show!

Battle #1 Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix

It seems the only time we see the amazing 'old' Jerry “The King” Lawler is when he's calling Diva matches. I miss heel King, he was so much more entertaining. It also helped get Jim Ross riled up, which makes him an even better announcer than he already is!

Pretty entertaining match here as the ever awesome Phoenix takes away the victory following the 'Glam Slam'. Kelly is improving tenfold in the ring, which is nice to see. I'd imagine it's a Vince McMahon wet dream to have gorgeous women who are also capable of holding interest once inside the squared circle. The fans didn't really seem to dig the action but WHAT DO THEY KNOW!?

Winner: Beth Phoenix “The Glamazon”

In Other News...

Two middle-aged guys who have been main tays in the company since like forever are reuniting at WWE Summerslam this Sunday. Of course I'm talking about the reunion of DX and Triple/Shawn Michaels. I've always been a big Degeneration X fan so I'm looking forward to this.

CM Punk and Jeff Hardy really hate each other and are going to kick 7-shades out of one another this Sunday. I'm loving heel Punk, I'm one of the unlucky folks who never really got to see much of him Ring of Honor so it's a pleasure to see him being the bad guy now.

Battle #2 Shelton Benjamin vs. Tyler Reks

Ain't no stoppin' me nowwwwwwwww! Man I love Shelton Benjamin. Just what is he doing on the 'C' show ECW? He could easily contribute more and has proved this in the past. It seems he may never get the big break I feel he deserves in WWE! I was impressed the last time I saw Tyler Reks on this show so here's hoping for more the same and a good bout.

Loved what Matt Striker said regarding the Summerslam Fanfest. “You can come out and meet all of your favourite ECW, Smackdown and RAW superstars”. This is partly why I'm a Striker fan, he's SUPPOSED to pimp the show he 'works for'. It's not annoying in the old “our show is better than yours” way but it shows he thinks about his commentary. I look into things a little too much..

Really short one here and I felt if it had been given more time, it could have been better. Still, both men did great with what little time they had and the awesome Reks was nailed with 'Pay Dirt' as Shelton picked up the win.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Meanwhile..

Jesse gets Cryme Tyme all fired up with a nice little 'Word Up' promo package. He tells them they will be the next WWE Unified Tag Team Champions. Yeah yeah.. Tag team champions. Yeah yeah..

Battle #3 R-Truth vs. Charlie Haas

WASSUP!? Good to see Charlie “The Real Glamazon” Haas on TV. I'll give you THREE GOD-DAMN GUESSES who is going over? It won't be Charlito.

Rather enjoyable match! Another pretty short one but it worked in the wrestlers favour I feel as the crowd were mega-into what was going on. R-Truth appears to be getting more over, which is great to see as he's ultra charismatic and can go from a wrestling standpoint. Nice 'Lie Detector' flying twist elbow for the 1..2..3!

Winner: R-Truth

RAW Rebound

The return of DX and their beatdown by Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase) has added fuel to the fire for what should be an ace matchup between the 2 teams at Summerslam. Hey, Michaels is in the match so it'll be good at worst!

Battle #4 Your Main Event & Mine Mark Henry vs. Chris Masters

I've never been that into either of these guys but I have my fingers crossed that they can surprise me. And if they don't, hell neither of them will care. I'm not going to get in their faces about it!

Surprise me they did! This bout reminded me a heck of a lot of old school WWF action. For example, it resembled a Big Boss Man vs. Rick “The Model” Martel match from the early 90's. Pretty slow with lots of resting but the audience didn't seem to get bored.

Mark Henry picked up the 'W' with the 'Worlds Strongest Slam' on Masters.

Winner: Mark Henry

And there you have it. Another decent show from Superstars. Nowhere near as good as last week but it was still a good watch. Until next week, have a great weekend and enjoy Summerslam!
